Listen this was messy, but not overly it was just right. No relationships were severed, but some new ones were definitely created. I enjoyed the dynamic between both sets of sisters. Caroline the sleuth sent me lol. Liked the original spin on a Christmas story.
4.5⭐️ and 2.5🌶️ Is it bad that I want an epilogue?? 😂😂 because it was just that good. The sister’s dynamic…both sets. Nick’s steadfastness. The dad. The dad! The secrets. How did she pack so much in 80 pages?! Loved. This was a fun, messy, and sexy good time. I’m not mad at all lol. ✨Age Gap ✨Forced Proximity ✨Family Drama
Babbbyyy she did this… age gap alright! Lol 80 pages of jaw droppin fun, drama, suspense, surprise, & sneaky moments! Lmbo…. This was so naughty, but real nice! 😝😝💛💜💚
Joy NEVER expected to be reacquainted with the man who gave her that “coochie-thumping” feeling she hadn’t experienced in a long time, especially when he shows up as “HER DAUGHTER’S BOYFRIEND.” Imagine being in a love triangle with your own daughter! Crazy, right? Shae delivered 80 pages of PURE ENTERTAINING MESS!! I was so locked in that I couldn’t tear my eyes away
“It’s about whatever the fuck you want. When I say I want you, I mean all of you.”
BIG NICK came in with that energy, and I’m not gonna lie—I was rooting for him to drop the daughter and run away into the sunset with the mom! I know, I ain’t shit! He knew Joy was the one who got away, and he wasn’t about to lose her again. Plus, Noelle had her own issues, so any guilt he felt was OUT THE DOOR!! Though it’s a short story, it has so much to unpack! I do wish it had been longer to address everything going on, but I appreciate it for what it is—a woman in her 40s finding her groove again after loss and grief while putting everyone else first. If you’re looking for a quick, scandalous read with light angst, definitely check this out!
I usually do not like age gap romance, and I especially did not like where this story was going but I hugged it out because one thing Shae is gonna do is write a bomb story. And I'm so glad I did. I would NEVER be ok with this in real life, but in fiction world, ish happens. This was a great short and spicy, taboo read.
JOY WAS ANYTHING BUT JOYFUL THIS HOLIDAY SEASON AND AFTER THE LOSS SHE HAD AND THE FALLOUT OF THAT LOSE SHE DESERVED ALL THE HAPPINESS IN THE WORLD. HER SISTER BEING MESSY WORKED IN HER FAVOR. AFTER SPENDING A YEAR REGRETTING NEVER GIVEN THAT LIL YOUNG MAN A CHANCE THINGS COME FULL CIRCLE WHEN THEY’RE THROWN TOGETHER FOR CHRISTMAS.
I WAS SCREAMING FOR SOMEBODY TO CHECK NOELLE DISRESPECTFUL SHADE THROWING AZZ, CAUSE LOL MISS THANG HAD ALL THE AUDACITY WHEN SHE ALL BUT FORGOT NICK EXISTED ONCE BRIGHTON SHOWED UP 🙄🤬. NICK CHECK THE ISH OUT OF HER AND SHUT HER UP REAL QUICK🤣🤣🤣.
NICK MADE SURE TO MAKE UP FOR THE YEAR HE LOST OUT ON NOT HAVING JOY IN HIS LIFE. THAT LIL YOUNG TENDERONI GAVE HER EXACTLY WHAT SHE’S NEEDED AND I WAS HERE FOR IT 😜🙌🏽.
I love the drama found in family's business. This younger man wants his situationships' mother. It's messy, but hot. And in the Christmas of Babygirl 2024, this seems fitting for smutmas. 🎄
If it’s one thing Shae is going to do, it’s a smutty novella. I’ve only read age gap where the guy is older so this was a nice change. Messy but smutty
This novella was a mess lmaoooo 😭. Shae Sanders what’s wrong with you girl? This some shit that only works in book land because everybody was trifling 🤣🤣
Loved it. For those who LOVED Legal Tender, you’ll love this too.
I loved reading this for Christmas. I’d already been reading Legal Tender & their chapter in Naughty or Nice over again and was just wishing there was a follow up story on them and then I found this after Christmas. Great story. Being an Age Gap story it really made me think of and miss my other favorite Age Gap couple, Nakima Bridges & Cordell Warren from Shae’s ‘On the Clock Series: Legal Tender’ & Naughty or Nice. I’ve re-read that book often so to have another new Age Gap story was a super treat. Nick being a Lawyer made me think of Cordell and wonder what an update would’ve been like between those two. I liked the back story of how Joy met Nick and how Nick stayed on her for a whole year just after only meeting her in his car as her Uber Driver. Joy finding love again after the circumstances of having to endure what she had to go through I say was well deserved & wayyyy overdue for her considering the Husband 😒.
Gotta give him credit for knowing what he wanted from jump and damn sure on what he didn’t, and for not even trying to pretend and play around with babygirl. Noelle feeling jaded is understandable at first but then it gets old quick. Like girl, be so for real. You didn’t even like Nick like that. The one you wanted even came looking for you. Like girl sit down. Joy turned out to be straight pressure for Nick. Yes ma’am let his young ass know 😜.
Shout out to sis, Caroline for being a real one & peeping game from a football stadium sized field away. Sis knew her assignment & played her part well. Her daughters though, Chile. Teenagers today are such a headache lol.
Side note: If there’s another Age-Gap story, could we please get a follow up story on Nakima & Cordell? Please & Thank You, Shae.
4.5⭐️ 💻I love this author’s writing style. I’ve blindly read 3 of her books now and they all did not disappoint. This was an entertaining spicy age gap Christmas novella. On a drunken night home, Joy connected with and kissed her younger Uber driver and automatically dismissed him because there was an age gap. However, a year passed but he never left her mind. Then let fate tell it, her daughter, Noelle comes home for Christmas with her new boyfriend and it’s him-Nick now a 26 yr old lawyer that Joy kissed a year earlier but never forgot. Nick never forgot about her also and catches himself in a mother-daughter love triangle that he easily decides for them all that he wasn’t letting Joy slip away this time.

Okay, first of all this title had me laughing before I even opened the book. And honestly, this story was just as wild and fun as I hoped it would be! Shae Sanders didn’t miss when it came to mixing humor, heat, and heart.
It’s one of those short, spicy holiday reads that doesn’t try too hard. It’s entertaining, messy, and full of heat. I was laughing one minute and fanning myself the next.
I loved how it still had that cozy Christmas vibe underneath all the steam. It’s bold, funny, and definitely one I’ll be talking about for a while. If you like your holiday romances a little on the naughty side, this one’s a must read!
Maaaaan what a short story! We love a little forbidden reverse age gap romances with a sprinkle of family drama. Everything can full circle for Joy as Noelle bringing a man home for the holidays—who also happened to be the handsome young man who gave Joy the kiss of life. Nick was ALLLLL about getting that thang back! I’m happy she stopped playing and indulge in some good ol loving. And boy did he turn her out!
Crazy how both Joy and Noelle ended up with the ones they were meant to be with. Although it was awkward, they made it work 🤍 wonderful read!
A holiday age-gap romance with drama & spice? Shae Sanders gave us to much story in 80 pages.
-46FMC/26MMC -widowed FMC -sisterhood -forced proximity -family dynamics -an MMC that knows what he wants -Virginia based -winter vibes
The MMC, Nick, said I’m getting what I want regardless of what I have to do and I’m here for it. I’m not a fan of the age gap trope. But, if a book has it I need the FMC to be older and the younger person to be in their late 20s.
This was a fast paced & entertaining holiday novella.
I loved this story. The names of the characters were like a cherry on a sundae. Though this was a short, I thought the development was done perfectly. I loved Caroline and Joy's relationship. I loved the subtle gems throughout about sisterhood, family and complex parental relationships. I loved the build-up and the heat between the MMC and FMC 🔥🔥💦💦Just an overall excellent read!
One thing Shae is going to do is give us a messy romance and I’m here for it every time. This age gap Christmas romance was funny and so messy but I couldn’t get enough of it. I liked Nick for Joy and I enjoyed seeing their story unfold as messy as it was. If you like a little mess with your romance and don’t mind an age gap, this is a good novelette for you.
Why was that man so deliciously nasty?!? When I tell you I just got my whole life with the book. This book had me lmao and screaming cause Nick was pressure personified and Joy has truly given me something to aspire to!! I think ima stay right here in Sandersland cause baby I love it here! This is a prefect shirt, spicy, funny, read. I haven’t ate a book up this fast in a while!
This is about Joy and her daughter's new boyfriend meets the family. Except he doesn't want Noelle, he wants her mom.
I'm not going to lie, the title had me sold. It was a fun short holiday read. A little messy with family drama but also it was easily resolved. Low angst. I wish it had been a tad more steamy, but it was still a fun, quick read.
Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner!! Oooh there’s nothing like a short story with a juicier than juicy plot twist: Then add in an unrequited love that pops up, sibling drama, and a super Sleuth Auntie who figures it all out before the lights go out! Oh and let’s not forgot the daughter’s BF who wants her mama real bad and Baby all we need is the popcorn because this story deliverssss!

Clear the heat🔥🧯🔥🧯🔥‼️…Saint Nick, access granted‼️ ”All I Want For Christmas Is Your Mom: An Age Gap Novelette” brought joy to Nick’s world & presents to the tree🎄…again, again & again 🎁🤭‼️
My last official read for 2024 and I'm glad I wrapped up my reading list with this little novella. A fun quick read that still managed to feel a little Christmas magic.
This was so messy.... and my type of carrying on. I never thought I'd be rooting for a cougar 🤭 Even though this was a short story, Shae gives us mess, storyline, and spice. What more can you ask for in ~70 pages?
I was afraid for this one! I was like how you gone steal your daughter's man. But I read anyway cause Shae never stirse wrong. It was a good read. Always messy and makes me laugh out loud at certain parts.
Quick and messy palate cleanser for the holidays. Joy and Nick could not help themselves when it came to their connection. Noelle was caught in the middle but had her own feelings for Brighton. Carolina, Ember, and Eve were messy and hilarious.
You ever get to the end of a book and grumble. Like "That's it! not even an epilogue!!"
Sorry was ok. I was hoping Nick would be more aggressive. And Joy had a good reason to feel how she feels. But the whole romance was slow burn so definitely felt like edging 😩
Shae Sanders knows she can write a story! Long, short, whatever...I’m here for it. This Christmas Eve is sooo MESSY and I loved it! It is funny, messy, sexy and just a perfect little holiday read. “Maybe your gift is a young penis” lol
