Wrong! I’m getting married but I’d never met him before now, never dated him, never fell in love. I have no access to the memories of the most magical time of anyone’s life.
My mind won’t allow me to evoke the past, I can’t remember those simple stages to lead me to the fourth .
I can’t comprehend why I would have ever wanted to marry someone like Dante. I should never have passed the first stage, although, I may have seen him through the eyes of the woman I once was, this me that lives, breathes here now, can’t understand how we made it to the next stage.
I’m not sure, without memories, how I know that this voice inside me, telling me I would never have chosen him, speaks some truth, I just know. He’s controlling, arrogant, callous and violent, and utterly hell bent on humiliating and degrading me – Like watching me falter, watching me struggle to comply and be the woman he asked to marry, powers him- as though he wants to break me piece by piece. Fiber by fiber. Until all that’s here is the shell he created from a soul that I once owned.
Now my memories are slowly returning. And they show me a completely different side to meeting him. Our dates, falling in love. The Dante haunting me in the shadows of my mind is loving, gentle and utterly enamored with me, nothing like the man with me now.
And this is what taunts me. My tender lover turned into a debauched, cruel sadist who is determined to consume my life, destroy my mind and murder my spirit.
I am, Star, and just like with some stars in the sky, the light you see is an echo, a façade, I am already gone
I am a no one.

I love a dark, suspenseful story and 'Facade' did not disappoint! If you like your books to take you on a depraved, taboo, erotic journey, then this is just the book you crave. However, if you are triggered by topics such as abuse, non-consensual sex, dubious consent, violence, and extreme psychological abuse, then you may want to keep looking.
'Facade' is a sick and twisted tale of love, obsession and betrayal. I could not put this book down. Every time I thought I had figured out what was going on there would be another twist that made me question everything. This story had my head spinning, in the best of ways.
Star awakens in a cell with no memory of who she is or how she got there. Her situation is bleak, as she realizes that she is to become a sex slave. She is equal parts aroused and terrified by her captor, Dante, who seems to know far more about her than he's letting on.
Things go from bad to worse in the blink of an eye. Without her own memories, Star's only connection to her past life is through the bits of information Dante has fed her about herself.
However, as Star's memory begins to return, she is increasingly convinced that Dante has not been fully honest with her. The man he is now is in stark contrast with the man she remembers. Nothing adds up.
When the truth comes out, it changes everything. I didn't fully figure this one out and it was a great plot twist. This book kept me on the edge of my seat. I am still dying to see how things work out for Star and will be reading the second book immediately.
Overall, this was a fantastic dark story! It was just the sick and disturbing type of read that I love.

"I'm so unbelievably in love with you. I can't fucking breathe until I see you some days. I feel you in me so deep we're two halves of the same soul."
"The only thing I know is that my name is Star, and...and I'm scared."
What a truly twisted entertaining read! Our main character wakes up and doesn’t even know her own name. She is being held against her will by Dante Troy who she feels she knows while he uses her body against her and weaves stories of drugs for memory loss, human trafficking and a lifetime of love and an approaching wedding day.
Star struggles with memories that won’t fully surface while being feed truths by Dante backed by his crew. This story is indeed dark and it includes rape, torture and lies. The authors gift both Star and Dante’s pov while slowly bringing the truth under the façade to the surface by the end of the story.
Overall a quick crazy ride that I’m excited to see what is revealed next while Dante attempts to hold onto Star and his revenge.

4,5 MIND BLOWING STARS
What a crazy ride!!It was really good!It was a dark, mind fuck with so many twists in the plot!It blew me away and messed my head so many times! As the story progresses and you think you have it figured out something happens and again you change your mind. You start with a beautiful moment and then something different and you are like
I didn't write my review sooner because I didn't recovered yet of what I read! I wanted to think what I can write in my review without giving a lot about the story!! This isn't your typical love story.... This love is darkness... Star wakes up with no memories,without knowing who she is really and where she is. The people around her tell her different thinks but she doesn't know what to believe. And to cap it all there is a man Dante who claim to be her fiance...
Can she believe him? Or is there something else behind this handsome man?Maybe something dark?
What will happen when Star starts to remember things??
Is any truth about what they told her?Or everything is a lie?
The characters where interesting!Especially Dante who from the beginning intrigued me and I really wanted to know more about him and why he has this behavior around Star!Sometimes he was sweet and hot and other time he was dark,angry and possesive!I really felt sorry for Star everyone messes her head and she didn't know what to do!
I never expected that ending!!!Ugh I can't wait for the next book!!!If you look for something dark that will blew your mind this is exactly what you need!!!

4.5 FACADE STARS! ★★★★☆
"You gave me your soul a long time ago, Star. You'll learn who you belong to again. You'll learn that this isn't a prison, it's your freedom."
WOW HOLY COW WHAT JUST HAPPENED. My brain is absolutely exhausted after putting this one down! I definitely loved how I've been proven wrong again and again and AGAIN after every twist the book threw at me. I THOUGHT I HAD IT ALL FIGURED OUT. BUT NO.

The above definition describes exactly what this book is. Even the title itself is a facade (I kid you not). Honestly guys, you have no idea how much I want to spoil this book for y'all so I can get someone to talk to me about it because my mind is just everywhere at this point of time.
All I'm telling you is that FaCade starts off with the heroine MC, Star who has been drugged, kidnapped and has no recollection of her past memories. Her captor goes by the name of Dante and he's just devilishly sexy and wait for it...an absolute crude, dirty talker. ;)
And that's all you guys get from me on the synopsis :D SORRY NO SPOILERS.

This book is like a constant tumbling down into a rabbit hole and you just keep falling deeper to a point that you don't know what to believe anymore. I went into this read with a very cautious state of mind, my spidey senses on high alert and picking up on any signs that would send my brain into a hypothesis frenzy. At first it seemed like I was succeeding and I thought "hmm this seemed a little too easy" but then later of course, I found out that the truth isn't exactly the truth.
And the REAL kicker of mindfuckery will be when you come to a point that you can't even tell a lie from the truth anymore OR what's real OR which one is a facade.
Slowly I felt my sanity slipping away and I was literally tugging my hair throughout the 2nd half of the book as I keep flipping the pages to search the answers I'm looking for and I wanted to yell and demand the real TRUTH. Was it frustrating? Yes. Did I get my answers? Not really.
When the REAL truth (or at least I think it is HOMG) finally came out, I went all WTF and started seeing the bigger picture. And then our 2 evil authors decided to throw in some little goody twist in the last page and I just went BALLISTIC! DID NOT SEE THAT COMING.
And now I rock back and forth wondering when the next instalment is out.

Overall this was just the type of mindfuck read I needed. It challenged my mind, brought it to the edge and completely pushed it over. My brain cells are wiped out. It made me feel like asking myself if 1+1=2 anymore?!
The only reason that I decked out 0.5 stars was because I was a bit put off by the usage of exclamation marks in several dialogues. I didn't think it was necessary for some parts, I'd like to think that Dante could have been commanding without having to use ! to make his point across, you know what I mean? Kinda kills the character for me a little but still, LOVE his bad and dirty ways ;)
Would recommend this read to anyone who enjoys mindfuckery like me, but be warned that some scenes can get pretty violent. The dark factor wasn't very heavy IMO; I would say this was more of a mindfuck read than a dark one for sure. And also expect some ovaries exploding scenes, they were SMOKIN H-O-T.

"Façade" is a dark, twisted, unpredictable story, that for sure will blow your mind. It’s erotic, it’s thrilling and disturbing at times. It’s also confusing and intense.
"Façade" is a story you have to read without reading any reviews who may contain ( too many ) spoilers. You have to experience this mindfuckery by yourself. With all the mystery and all the suspense you will be hooked from the beginning.
I really enjoyed this book. If you’re familiar with this two authors, you know already they are great writers and storytellers, but let me tell you, together they’re fantastic. I was hooked immediately, from the beginning with this book and I couldn’t put it down. I wanted to know what’s happening so badly, first because it’s not a simply captive story and second because nothing seemed right, something was missing. But what?
The story starts with Star, the heroine, who wakes up in a dark room. She realizes she had been dragged and obviously kidnapped since she doesn’t know where she is. She also has no memories. She doesn’t remember who her friends are, if she has a mother and even who she is or what’s her name. She only knows that’s possible her name is Star, because that’s how HE calls her.
Her captor is Dante, a mysterious man, who seems to know her. But why he dragged and kidnapped her? She is a good person...or maybe she’s not. Dante has secrets and he wants one thing - vengeance. He thinks he needs it!
Everything Dante tells Star it’s possible to be the truth,possible, because it’s also possible to be a lie, a façade. What is the reality and what’s the façade? Can she trust Dante or his people? Can she trust the man who claims to be her fiancée? Will she ever remember her past?
Wow! What a crazy ride! This was really good and not only for a dark read. It has an interesting premise, a unique plot and so many twists and turns that will definitely will mess with your head.
Both main characters are well developed. Dante’s character is fantastic, captivating, with many layers and you will want to love him and hate him at the same time. You will wonder until some point who he really is and why he craves for vengeance. You will wonder if he’s a good man and he loves Star or if he’s the devil? The reason, well I didn’t expect it or even the big twist in the end.
The story ends with a cliffhanger and I can’t wait to continue Star’s story in the next book.

4.5 Crazy Ass stars
My MY My what a rollarcoaster I feel like I've been down a rabbit hole burrowing myself out bit by bit, don't know if that's the right word to say but seriously when I thought I figured it out BAM it went a different direction.
Star is happy without giving anything away you start this book with an idea of the past a fiancé a happy life everything you would wish for and then she wakes up to the unknown, who is she? where is she? what's her name? who does she belong to? does she have a family? What does she do? Yes she has no idea of who she is, no memories, no collection of ANYTHING. Zilch Nadda.
So lets go through the process, she's DRUGED and KIDNAPPED this is a captive story, there's two sides to every story and when I had some idea of what was happening it all changed paths then there was a mother of all Cliffhangers just a slight warning there but don't let that put you off as this was a really enjoyable read.
Dante is in love with Star always has been always will be the thing that Star cannot understand is this person she's supposed to love who she's supposed to be getting married to has a hard edge to him the slight memories' that are slowly creeping in are of a gentle Dante, a compassionate Dante a loving and nurturing Fiancé this Dante is everything BUT He is strong, edgy, sexy, animalistic, rough, demanding and CONTROLLING.
I am really trying hard to come up with the right words as I still really have no FUCKING clue what I've just read, this is a MINDFUCK for sure saying all this although this is all that this story is mind blowing, intense, erotic, sensual and a sexy ASS read. There's a good mix of both and if your new to dark but love the edgier read and the erotic then this is definitely a good start begin with as it dabs into both sides of the coin.
Star awww I felt for her wanted to reach into that mind of hers and find some answers for her, then I wanted to hug her she's been through it here her emotions, the tears anger and then confusion and why did she believe everything he said? opened her legs willingly for Dante but then felt ashamed you say Rape? was it? maybe? maybe not? but I did enjoy reading her I was with her every step of the way...
The Writing
I have read combined authors writing together where I have really felt where one author ends and the other begins let me tell you I didn't here is flowed perfectly and you see Dantes side and Stars in equal measure. It was a turn pager easy enjoyable and I'd definitely recommend these authors and this book.
Roll on December come on write guys write I need a conclusion and maybe a kind of HEA if that's possible...

5 You Belong To Me Stars!
I've had this one on my TBR shelf for a while. I have to be in a mood to read one of these authors books. I knew going in I was going to be confused, have big eyes at times, fanning myself and often my mouth hanging wide open. I was not disappointed! All of that happened.
I would say this is a book that you should go into blind. I'm bad at accidentally spoiling stuff so I'm just going to say that I loved this one! I read it super fast and I'm already diving in the next one because this one left me with huge eyes at the end!
Mr Dante Troy is one crazy fucker! If you like your men crazy this will be a book for you!

First off, I just recently found Sidebottom and Dukey. I read Decimation of Mae aka Decimation of Di and forged an unhealthy attachment to Sidebottom, like I couldn't believe the impact of one book. THEN I read Empathy, for the love of DARK, she knocked out of the park with that one, there's another unhealthy attachment. Going into Facade, I foolishly thought, "Oh, this can't be as good as their other work, no, a lot of authors write books together, and it usually doesn't work for me." Wrong! Just Wrong of my thoughts! PERFECT COMPLEMENT, if that's even the right thing to say. They both are amazing by themselves, but HOLY SHIT BALLS BATMAN, together they have the ability to destroy you for all other books.
This is me after reading Facade-

Ker Dukey and D.H. Sidebottom came together and DELIVERED! What they delivered can not be summed up with words, I could never do this story justice. DARK, COMPLETELY MIND NUMBING BRILLIANCE could be said. They share a unquestionable amount of talent, especially for fans of dark romance. They hold the title right now. How do you pick up another book after experiencing their writing? I haven't got a clue where one started writing and the other stopped. I wondered if these two were the same person. Let's forge these two, Sukey. That's what I will call them Sidebottom plus Dukey> Sukey!
The Story-
What do you do when waking up in a cell without any memories? Well here's the problem, the memories you do have are of a loving relationship with your soul mate. What if that soul mate was your captor? What if every memory you have was just a Facade? What's real? Are you confused yet? Well, I'm sorry but you have to read the book to find out. I can't spoil the greatness! The prologue opens up your mind to SOME possibilities, but what it really did was fuck your mind, that's what you will be continuously thinking about through the entire book. But the whole time questioning yourself. This can't be right, something is not right here. Nothing is as it seems. PERFECT TITLE- FACADE!
I shit you not, I was on the edge of my seat for this entire book.

I won’t say much about the story because it is the kind of book that best read blind. But I do want to say I love Dante because he is the type of character I could easily feel for.
Facade is the first book of Deception duet. I’m looking forward to see which direction the authors will take for the conclusion.

I made the mistake of reading the tagline (which is a spoiler and honestly shouldn’t be there) on book 2 cover so the revelation was not a surprise for me. If you plan to read this book, avoid doing the same thing, especially the blurb.

I shouldn’t be jealous, I couldn’t understand the emotion or where it had even come from. Loneliness made me need; a simple touch, a hard contact, anything so I could feel a connection with someone, anyone.
I won’t say much about the story because it is the kind of book that best read blind. But I do want to say I love Dante because he is the type of character I could easily feel for.
I had prayed for the return of my memories, but now, now I wasn’t sure I wanted them back. They were annihilating me, burning my mind under the chaos of them all and breaking my heart little by little after each one.
Facade is the first book of Deception duet. I’m looking forward to see which direction the authors will take for the conclusion.

Dante Troy is a highly intelligent and dangerously handsome man who has the means to carry out his longstanding plans. Preying upon Star’s darker sexual desires, Dante knows exactly what she wants and he is more than capable of giving it to her on his terms.
Told in dual POV, what ensues is a complex plot centered on the depravities and lengths someone will take to ensure what belongs to him. Layers of revenge and desire meld into questionable morality as the continual questions of truth pervade the storyline. The perspectives of Dante and Star are in stark contrast and it fuels the mystery of her identity and his past, but their connection is visceral and steaming hot.
From the outset, Dante intrigued me with his devious motivations and filthy mouth but he also has a backstory that humanizes him. As for Star, at first I sympathized with her plight and her tactics, but she also tried my patience as more is revealed. However, such a dynamic kept me teetering between sides. At this point, I am definitely on a certain team.
With this co-author team of D.H. Sidebottom and Ker Dukey writing dark erotica, there aren’t any real limitations and it’s good to be back in the dark with such dedicated writers. Dante is a character that readers will either love, hate or love to hate. No matter the side, this story is full of thrilling hot revenge.
Façade is about obsession and vengeance. This book will appeal to those looking to delve in true dark erotica.

100 'Mind Fuck' Stars
O.M.F.G I'm shaking right now. I'm shaking, I have goosebumps, my mind is all over the place. It's an illusion I didn't just read that book, my mind is playing tricks with me. I'm going to snap out of it soon and be back to my normal self where my brain isn't constantly telling me the calm the fuck down. Well Brain, fuck you! I can't calm the fuck down! I have NEVER been shocked and mind fucked in my entire life. I've read some books in my time and loved them all but have never read a book quite like this before. Fuck!!! Just thinking about it makes me want to SCREAM! Fuck fuck fuck!

There is something about a man with issues but their is even something more intriguing then a man that wears his issues and is not sorry for the things he has done. A man that says fuck you I am who I am and you can choke some dick if you have a problem with it. Dante Troy for me was all of the above and so much more. You read a book, you meet these characters and you try and figure them out. They intrigue you and you want to know more about them. I had no fucking clue what was going on with these characters, it was a guessing game the entire time. I was on the edge of my seat, pacing my room wondering what the fuck was going on and what was going to happen next. Every chapter shocked the absolute shit out of me. I can place a book in each category, starting with my dark reads, this IS a dark read, this IS a mind fuck read but it IS in a league all on its own. My mind is yelling at me 'Jodi give up reading for life, there is no way another book can top this one so you may as well just sit in a corner and pluck your pubes all day because you are pretty much done for' (unless you are Karina Halle and Linda Kage of course).
I was introduced to this author by a book friend of mine, one I will be dry humping the second I see her for introducing me. I was in my dark read mood and having just finished one of my favourite book series I was still craving that fucked up world. Ker Dukey's name popped up, never having heard of this author before I one clicked her book and my life changed forever. Her first book shocked me but this book made me want to swim in holy water because I have truly sinned by loving it so hard. How can the things Dante done in this book be ok? I want to bloody blow the fucking man for doing it. This is the first book I've ever read where two authors co wrote it and just from this one book I will read both Ker Dukey and D.H. Sidebottom's shopping list. Most of my reviews always end in saying about beautiful the authors writing is and how much I enjoyed the journey I went through.....well the writing wasn't beautiful is was COMPLETELY MIND FUCKING FUCKED UP IN THE MOST BEAUTIFUL WAY and I went through hell reading it with the biggest smile on my face.
Loved the book, loved the characters, loved everything about this story. It blew my fucking mind. I don't think I will ever read a book quite like this one. I miss it already.
To the authors; You are both fucked up in the head and I fucking love you for it, they should write songs about you. Don't ever change. You are both a breath of fresh air and you have a fan girl for life.
Star, girl you seriously went through hell in this book but fucking hell I'm envious of you and Dante, you motherfucking sex god I just want to lick you all over! Wow!!! What a mind-f*ck!!
This book is so captivating… I was hooked from chapter one.... I couldn't put it down for a minute and read through the night to see how this story would unfold and I was left completely blown away....
The writing is pure genius, filled with glorious amounts of twist and turns. It was impossible to guess what was going to take place next. I would think to myself, maybe this character is crazy, maybe this shit is just a dream, and holy shit that did not just happen. Hell the prologue had me fooled, I thought wow this isn't what I expected.
Star literally wakes up to a chaotic world she knows nothing about, and has no idea how she got there. The people around her, the stories she’s being told, and whether to believe or not to believe. You see through the confused eyes of this woman, and feel every ounce of emotion seeping out of her body.
As for Dante…I couldn't make up my mind whether I loved or hated him and honestly I still can’t.
I need more NOW!!

Imagine the excitement I felt when I saw two of my favorite authors teaming up to write a book! Who am I kidding! I'm sure when you saw the news you did the same happy dance I did!!
Queens of the unpredictable I must BOW to D.H. Sidebottom & Ker Dukey for once again showing me they are true and original authors. I can't even put into words how much I loved this book! Trying to leave it spoiler free basically means I can't tell you anything!
From the beginning it's a page turner...we are delivered into darkness with Star and left to put the pieces together
This book had me second guessing myself. The more the story unfolds the more you JUST KNOW things are not as they seem but you just can't put your finger on it!
Dante is ...Twisted...Dark...and so SEXY..

I can’t comprehend why I would have ever wanted to marry someone like Dante. I should never have passed the first stage, although, I may have seen him through the eyes of the woman I once was, this me that lives, breathes here now, can’t understand how we made it to the next stage.
I’m not sure, without memories, how I know that this voice inside me, telling me I would never have chosen him, speaks some truth, I just know. He’s controlling, arrogant, callous and violent, and utterly hell bent on humiliating and degrading me – Like watching me falter, watching me struggle to comply and be the woman he asked to marry, powers him- as though he wants to break me piece by piece. Fiber by fiber. Until all that’s here is the shell he created from a soul that I once owned.
Now my memories are slowly returning. And they show me a completely different side to meeting him. Our dates, falling in love. The Dante haunting me in the shadows of my mind is loving, gentle and utterly enamored with me, nothing like the man with me now.
And this is what taunts me. My tender lover turned into a debauched, cruel sadist who is determined to consume my life, destroy my mind and murder my spirit.

DNF at 30%
Boring writing style. Characters were two dimensional and unlikeable and kind of lame. Why does the heroine fall in love with him for no reason at all, while he's treating her so badly? And why is she horny all the time in a place where she is kept without food, water or warmth? I'm guessing the guy has some misunderstood vendetta against the girl, which will be revealed and rectified at the end of the book. But I just couldn't be arsed to finish this. Wouldn't recomment to anyone who likes dark books, cuz it was just lame. Too many authors think if you write about some asshole hitting a woman, it somehow becomes dark erotica or whatever. It's really not! What you've written here is a sap story about two weak and dumb characters. It was not complicated or erotic in the slightest.

Book Review - Facade by D H Sidebottom & Ker Dukey - There aren’t enough stars in the world to review this but I have to stick at *****
So it’s around a week since i’ve read this book and i’m only now sitting down to type this out. Why is that? Have I just been too busy to put my words down, and this is the first opportunity I have?
No.
Quite simply, this book will blow your mind.
You will spend a good 80% of the book just as confused as our memory loss heroine. I was sat staring at my kindle going ‘What the hell just happened?’, ‘What’s happening now?’ ‘I don’t understand.’
Star wakes up one day with no memory of her life before, and in her own personal hell. Or is it heaven?
As the story twists and weaves, you see that everything is not as it seems? Or is it?
As flashes of her memory start to return, Star struggles to marry up the images running through her head with her life with Dante.
As you would expect with a book from the dark and twisted minds of DH Sidebottom & Ker Dukey, this book is very very dark. There are scenes that will disturb you, there are scenes that will excite you, there might even be scenes that do both (you know who you are - I know you are out there, you dark tramps you! ;) ).
You will feel hatred, deep seated hatred for characters in this book. And then you will feel sympathy and you might be surprised to find that both emotions are focused in the same direction.
Oh and did I mention the confusion………….. overall you will feel confusion. And you might think the flashbacks of her memory would help aid the confusion, but no, in some cases they add to it.
And although the question is kind of resolved in book 1, you are still left asking, just who is Star? We have so much more to discover about our central characters in the next instalment, and I can’t wait………… although next time i’m lining up a stiff whisky at the side of me, before I go in.
Oh and i’ll never be able to look at a string of pearls in the same way again………………..

Star - Poor Star, she has no memories beyond the walls of this house/prison she's in. The man she's with runs hot and cold, and she's suppose to marry him in one months time. All the evidence is there, the pictures, the flashes of memory, the feelings. She's with the man, Dante, that she is suppose to marry, but something just feels off.
Dante - What a complete psycho!! And what a *believable* psycho! Does he love her? Does he hate her? Has he completely gone insane? Was he *ever* sane?
These are all questions that can only be answered by picking up this book and taking a wild ride! It's hard to write a reveiw without spoiling anything. This book has a LOT of great twists! Each one you won't see coming.
This book ends with a MAJOR cliffhange, but fortunately, the second book in this series is out and is suppose to wrap it all up. (I haven't read it yet). You're warned by the author there is a big cliffhanger, and I can't stress that enough, so be sure you finish the book and have enough time to at least start the second one 'cause trust me you'll be sitting there stunned!
This book is dark, very dark... and it waivers between non-con and dub-con.. which is really non-con. Nothing is ever as it seems.. or is it? Yes it's *THAT* twisted! If you like dark and twisted, I highly recommend this read, but head the warning at the top of the author's blurb.

I'd been trying to figure out the title's play on words from the very start of this story! That understanding didn't click into place until the protagonist had a revelation in her art studio much later in the story.
The sense of foreboding weaved throughout the text as the reader was kept in the dark about Star's identity and her ability to fight against Dante's unstable and twisted ways made for an addictive read! I loved the quick pacing of this story and the air of mystery cloaked over each chapter, but I had a feeling what the plot twist and ending would boil down to after recently reading Sidebottom's novel, "Binary Code." I would've rated this story more highly if the books didn't mirror each other with that kind of twist, but this was still a greatly entertaining read. Enjoyed!

Well, I almost dnf-ed this because I mostly just cringed at everything happening in first 30% of the book.
However, curiosity kept me there, and I'm not sorry because soon I ended up completely immersed in the story, mostly intrigued by complexity of Dante's character. I needed to know what made him do what he did and what the hell was happening.
And wow, was I in for a surprise at the end!!!
I do recommend this to everyone who likes dark and twisted, especially if you're into angry, rough, revenge-driven, possessive guys.
Some sex scenes and violence were a bit too much but I have to say, while I cringed on those, I got embarrassingly turned on by some of the dirty talk.

I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this book. I needed it like I needed my next breath.
And you know what? I didn’t even read what it was about. I didn’t have to.
Knowing these two authors were teaming up to write it I knew it would be great.
I was right. It was better than great.
From the beginning pages until the very last page I was in awe. I was turning the wheels in my brain so hard that I though for sure my head was going to tumble to the ground.
I am still scratching my head. I am still so intrigued by this story that I feel like I need to seek counseling.
I am ready to hard core stalk now for the next book.

OMG, I cannot say enough about this book. Loved it so hard I can hardly wait until the next one comes out. There were twists in this book that I did not see coming and I so love that in a book, as so many times you see stuff coming a mile away. This is a dark read and may have triggers for some people but if you like your reads a bit on the darker side I highly recommend this book. Awesome pairing of two great authors.

Holy hell was this a sick, twisted, disturbing read! ( Another words damn good!)
Just when you think you have the plot all figured out... bam, D.H. Sidebottom kicks your ass and proves you wrong!
Dante...Dante...Dante, you are a freaking monster, rapist, evil bastard incarnate from hell! I loath you and call upon a torturous death, may you be strung up by your intestines and choke on your dick! Are you sure black widow spiders are females, cause this asshole is a viper of them!
Faye Avery because I refuse to call her the same name as the monster does, is a victim tho not by choice. Despite not remembering her life or how she came to the point of where the story opens, is the epitome of strength and bravery. Something tells me she'll need both in the sequel.
