When you trust in the Fates and the Council, they just might join forces and provide you the greatest gift of all.
Dr. Maxwell King joined the Council at his longtime friend’s suggestion. His position as the Council’s doctor has been both rewarding yet heartbreaking at times. The happiest moments are bringing new lives into the world. But it’s also a constant reminder that he’s still alone with no fated One in sight. Chances are slim for him finding his forever mate when the majority of those around him are already mated. Dr. Camden Kennedy loves his family and what he does. Most days, he loves his job more than his family. The youngest of seven children, and the last still living near his parents, he just wants to put some distance between him and his doesn’t-understand-boundaries mother. It was a complete coincidence that he’d overheard about a position opening with the Paranormal Council, and when he applied, he never expected to be chosen for the position. Maxwell believed a new doctor joining the clinic would provide him the chance to venture out in search of his One. When Camden walked into the clinic, he couldn’t believe that his One was standing in front of him. Camden just wanted to get away from his ma and maybe at some point find his mate in a sexy alpha. When he realizes his sexy alpha is instead a sinful sire, working for the Council suddenly seems more like fate than anything. Will these two find a moment to complete their bond, or will duty calling interfere? Maxwell is Book Eighteen in the Paranormal Council Enforcers series. Each book in this series will focus on a different couple, but these books are not standalones and should be read in order. This is a fated mate story in an MPreg world, and there will be at least one baby. You should expect all the normal shenanigans and remember that sometimes even fated mates need a little help.
I really enjoyed this book and thought that it was another good addition to the Paranormal Council Enforcers Series. I’m so glad that Maxwell finally found his One, with the newest Council doctor no less. I thought that they were great together. I love that Camden finally got some amazing substitute parents with Maxwell’s fathers’ Lukyan & Winston, who absolutely adore him and treat him like another son. Camden’s parents are abusive, his mother doesn’t respect his and his seven older brothers’ boundaries. She’s manipulative and controlling.
She also doesn’t believe that she’s in the wrong even after all their children have gone low to no contact. Their father doesn’t speak up and lets his mate do what she pleases. I wouldn’t have complained if there was more action and adventure like the earlier books in this series but it makes sense that there wasn’t considering both Maxwell & Camden are doctors and not in the thick of things. I’m really looking forward to reading more from this series as it continues, as well as more books from Taylor in the future. I’d definitely recommend this book, series, universe and author to everyone.
******I received a copy of this book because I’m a member of Taylor Rylan’s Patreon. I happily reviewed this book and I would do so even if I purchased it myself. My thoughts and feelings about this book are completely unbiased******

Dr. Maxwell King finally finds his One! This was such a sweet addition to the Paranormal Enforcers series. Full of warm fuzzies and found family, Camden and Maxwell's relationship is such a positive and joyous thing.
Camden's home situation is a form of abuse that is totally opposite what has been explored before in this series. His mother has no respect for boundaries, is totally unwilling to let her children become their own adult persons, and refuses to accept any of her children's mates. His father is done dealing with it all, so just lets Ma run rampant. Getting away from them is the main reason for Camden applying to be the new doctor for the Council's Omega Clinic. That, and maybe a bit of intervention by two certain Fates.
The MC's are supportive, communicate freely, and are simply a delight to read about. Camden comes alive without the pressures of his mother and buoyed by Maxwell's love. His mate's parents are what Camden always wished his could be. A delightful book from beginning to end without being so sweet that cavities become a concern.
I am loving the no time wasted with Maxwell and Camden. In quite a few of the recent books, the Alpha has been hesitant to rush the omega and sometimes they get their wires mixed up as the omegas think they aren’t wanted, but not in this book! Maxwell had Camden pinned to the wall in no time and I am here for it! Their communication is next level and their chemistry is on fire. In this story, we have toxic parents, but all off page, but also doting grandparents and uncles. Camden and Maxwell are a great fit and the story moved along nicely with no angst. I was hoping we would get a Cameron story while reading and the bonus scene has flared that hope, so fingers crossed. It was great seeing other characters from previous books and hearing about all the babies. Having those little catch ups made the book even more endearing. This book has all of Taylor’s happy, lovable characters with a bit of drama, babies and spice.

I love this series & all the interconnected series!!!! All the characters are great & feel real & I find myself talking with them but this story was special with the manipulative grandparents & how they were dealt with & oh so special to get awesome grandparents - I didn't mention how it was a little off for me at first to have Dr King find his mate & go all alpha mate sex on me - it felt like I was looking at me uncle & it was embarrassing for a minute!!! But I got over that & I do love Merlin's name!!! Thank you so much - Lori
For anyone, like me, that looks and says “who’s Maxwell?” he’s doctor King the warlock that delivers most of the babies on Treasure Ridge. I enjoyed the book although I’ve gotten used to there being some updates on how things are going with the enforcers in this series we don’t see any of that other than who’s pregnant. I always felt kinda bad for doctor King so I’m glad he found his mate. Camden seems like a good match for him.
As usual, this series has been a wonderful read. I really enjoy seeing the various characters get their perfect match. Maxwell finds his forever in an Arctic Fox who just happens to be his partner in the omega service, helping omegas who are pregnant or want to be on suppressors. Both doctors are ready to be together in the practice and at home. Loved this book! Highly recommended
This is a paranormal queer romance with mpreg, the 18th book in an interconnected set of series which I guess is best read in order. Camden comes to the council be a doctor and Maxwell is his mate. It was a sweet story with very low angst which was enjoyable to read but it’s feeling like a repetitive story. I hope the author squares up this series and moves onto something new. I enjoy this author’s writing for the most part.
The series started so well, it was all love and drama but now it's blah. There's now a boiler plate, unexpectedly run into your soulmate, go on matemoon, have a baby, and the end; just slot in names. Never addressed the weird being focusing on pregnant omega, no more rescues, just no drama. Boring. Although not poorly written, lately, if you read one you read them all.
Wonderful story was so happy that Dr. King had found his mate. I have kept up with this series and have enjoyed each and every one. Great characters, Camden and Maxwell's relationship seemed simpler than many of the books from this series. I liked that. Recommend reading.
No spoilers of any kind included. All I am going to say about Maxwell is it was adorably sweet. I love it! So yes I most definitely do recommend this book. But for the best experience you should start with the first book in this series.
I'm so glad that Maxwell got his One!! After seeing everyone on the mountain find their mates, he deserved his too. Camden was perfect for him! I really enjoy this series and hope it doesn't end anytime soon. Good book!!
While I liked the main characters and insta-fated mates, there was zero conflict really. I go back and read some of the early books in this universe that had some tension/conflict, which is what got me hooked in the first place. Now it’s all just sugary-sweet.
By far one of my favorite books, I'm glad to see the doctor finally get his own mate. I enjoyed how low the angst in these books ends up being, as they are relaxing and easy to fall into the story. Maxwell and Camden are some of my favorite characters; they are sweet together.
I like that this book dealt with a serious topic but in a healthy way. Boundaries and unhealthy relationships can be difficult but I love the way it was handled. I enjoyed watching this couple come together and find their own happiness.
Only complaint I have is, these books need to be 20 times longer so I can enjoy them for multiple days. I sit down and finish them as soon as they hit my kindle.
