This book received honourable mention for self-published genre fiction in the Writer's Digest writing conteset as well as a B-R-A-G medallion. The story elements are there, but the story editing wasn't top drawer (but better than her romance novel.) This needs a good story editor to help trim redundant conversations and trim out a few things put in their for convenience ie it would have been better if it were shorter and tighter. Most of us don't know how important that is because we read conventionally published books; the number of self-published book that have had great story editing are extremely few, although I do know some stellar ones.
In addition, better copy-editing, although this was significantly better than her romance nove. I found far fewer issues in this book than in her romance novel. Grammar and punctuation are fairly good, but I did take a pen to my book several times to fix things. In addition, I'd like to see more focus on voicing. Changing a some words isn't enough, I want to read a distinctly different voice for each POV. One thing an good story editor would have asked is

“Lethal Injection” by Karin Lovold is a must-read book for all science fiction lovers. It follows Ian as he flies off to the far side of the moon to stop a grave wrongdoing, save the world, and fulfill his grandfather's wish. Along the way, he makes unforgettable friendships and finds love.
