We enjoyed this very friendly introduction of going to a dentist’s office. It doesn’t shy away from the dentist’s tools but doesn’t focus on them or on the anxiety that many ppl face when going to the dentist. Instead it focuses on how supportive the dentist, the hygienist and the child’s family will be throughout the visit. The only reason I gave it 4 Stars is that two pieces of technical information is outdated. Otherwise it’s the perfect book to read to a five year old!

mr. rogers is the author. This is a very dry book about going to the dentist. it is very straightforward. There is absolutely nothing intriguing about this book. But it does tell the truth. It is non fiction. It does discuss the dentist in great detail. It has many pictures. The pictures represent diversity. It is not a book I would buy, but I would include it in my collection if it somehow appeared there for free.

We've read this one hundreds of times in the last couple of months. I'm not a big fan of it, but Eva sure is!

If this was already in my classroom I wouldn't throw it out, but I wouldn't buy a new one. It's outdated. It's also longer than the average attention span a preschooler would have. Lots of photos. Many cultures represented. Not a bad book. Just thirty years old.
