A quick short read that could have been much better. The change of the heroine's opinion was faster than the blink of the eye.

This was surprisingly a sweet and sexy read!
When I started the book, I didn't think I'll like it much less love it. It starts off with Carlotta, or Charley as she prefers. A 25 year old woman living on her own since her grandfather passed away 2 years ago. She lives a hard life. Works long hours at a deli shop and the pay is terrible. But she manages with her life, with her cat, Buttercup for companionship.
But on her way to a blind date, she was kidnapped by tough looking men.
I really disliked how the first few were set, it felt too dramatic, cliche and just so annoying.
I really did expect this to be a 1 star rating
But it is then we meet Rafe.
My goodness, that man was perfection! Not only was he masculine, a complete gentleman and so incredibly sexy, he was an Alpha Wolf!! What's not to love!?!
It is for Rafe that his pack kidnapped Charley because without a mate Rafe risks the chance of losing his title as the Alpha Male. This part I loved because even if his pack did kidnap a woman they had the best intentions in mind, and it turned out they chose the right, perfect woman for their Alpha.
Rafe needs a mate but will a human woman accept who he is ?
Since they first met, there is an obvious spark between them, a connection, a bond that pulls them together. I eventually started to love Charley. She wasn't perfect and didn't pretend to be. She had insecurities and felt so unsure about herself and what she was worth to Rafe. And this made me love her more. Despite her insecurities, she could be demanding and straightforward too!
I loved who she was with Rafe and how she got along so well with his pack. They joked, sang and laughed together. She even teaches them how to cook which was funny and incredibly sweet.
But Rafe is magnificent, beautiful both inside and out. When he meets Charley for the first time he is clearly smitten and drawn to her, even his inner Wolf wants to claim her. But instead of the typical Alpha who would lunge himself towards her, he is cautious and so sweet towards her. My heart was soaring along with Charley at the way he was treating her. I loved them both.
He was so protective over her but not in the way that it was creepy or over possessive. It was beautiful and I just fell in love with them.
So, my expectations for this book went from so low to way up there! Such a perfect novella for this time of Year!
I would really recommend this novella for everyone to read. Its short but packed with so much love, devotion and commitment!
Plus, hes an Alpha Wolf and there are 7 other sexy men! If that's not a reason to read this book than I don't know what is!

This is a fun and quick read. I loved it. all the characters were awesome and of course I liked both Rafe and Charley. It started with intrigue and mystery and then jumped to romance and love. And not even a single boring moment through out. Also made me laugh out loud a few times. The only thing I didn't like was how soon it ended, but it is a novella so... ;)

If you're a fan of the Grazi Kelly series then you will love reading about the Macconwood pack. This was a great addition to Grazi's world.
Rafe Maccon is hot as hell, and I wouldn't kick him out of bed for eating crackers. He's a mans man, and one that gets your heat pounding on your heart fluttering. Charley my dear, I don't understand how you had any droughts about him, I mean he went back and got your cat. Your cat! He's a wolf, and he brought you your sweet little kitty cat. If that's not true love I don't know what is.
I loved the way Charley took over, she jumped right into his world and didn't back down for a second. She may be a human but she stood on her own two feet when it came to the Macconwood boys. She's a truly wonderful character and I can't wait to read more about her.
I highly recommend this Novella, it's may be a fast read, but it's hot, sexy, and wicket fun.

Charley's Christmas
I just loved this book. One of my favorite things was that it sucks you in right away. And you will fall in love with all the characters. I want to live there with them so bad. I could really feel the bond, not only with the hero/heroine, but with the whole pack. I will have to say that this is one of my favorite reads this year!

Best Christmas Ever
Charley gets kidnapped from a bus stop by a group of men who snagged her for their alpha. Rafe needs a mate by Christmas or he will lose his position as pack alpha. Charley agrees to help Rafe with the understanding it's only through Christmas. This shifter book is a great beginning to the Macconwood Pack series and a delight to read. Recommended to all who love wolf shifters.

This quick and easy read grabbed my attention on page one and kept it to the end.
C.D. Gorri packed a lot into this short introduction to her new book series.
Her main characters were well-developed and complex, and I can't wait to read the next book to find out what happens next.

A fantastic story. A quirky love story. Received as a free read sorry it got stuck in my to read for to long. Hope the series continued. Charley finds a family and Rafe finds love.

This was a sweet novella. Charley and Rafe's relationship started out as insta-love/ insta-lust, and then there's the marriage-of-convenience and the mates trope. It all played out well enough. Rafe's pack of wolf were adorable, like they usually are. It's wonderful how these pack of wolves— scary, dangerous creatures always end up feeling like lovey goofballs. However that wasn't the case with Rafe— he was pure Alpha through and through, grumpy and dominant. When it comes to Charley though he was as warm as one could get.
I'm aware that this is a novella and that things are supposed to be short. But it felt a little too rushed for me, hence the rating.
Though it just wasn't for me, it could really be your cup of tea.

Very cute werewolf novella!
It’s insta lust/insta love but it was adorable how much Charley & Rafe were so gone for each other. I thought the other pack members were funny and added humor/fun to the story.
The plot is simple and resolved by the story’s end.
Very quick read too. Read it in about 2 hours.
Would recommend if you’re looking for a fun, low angst werewolf romance with some steam.

Oh my God, I’ve been kidnapped! 5 WOLF HEARTS
Aghhh! Who the hell are you people? according to our laws an Alpha can only rule absolutely when he is mated. He needs a mate in order to take his legitimate place as Alpha and you’re it. Surprise! (How come things like this never happen to me? *sigh*) WOW!! I ABSO-EFFEN-LUTELY love, Love, LOVE this book!! This is the EXACT kind of book that will get you believing in Shifters, Magic, True Love, Destiny, Soul Mates and The One!! I was swept away into this story, living it as Charley and I didn't EVER want to leave! It had me smiling, laughing, crying, bawling, swooning, gasping, panting, and so much more! (I DID say that I lived the story AS Charley!) I was actually a little surprised at just how quickly I connected and bonded with Charley, Rafe & his Band of Merry Dwarves! LOL (Sorry guys, but I just couldn't resist!) And like all FANTASTIC books, no matter how long they are, they end way too soon! The magic, romance, hotness & power behind, within and from this story & its characters held me mesmerized from the very beginning! My heart was captivated by the fairy tale romance vibe going on, because who hasn't dreamed of "being taken away from it all" by the prince?! Of course, Charley was REALLY & LITERALLY taken away from her life, but instead of the prince, it's for the Alpha - the poor, sexy, disillusioned man who thinks he is a "real" Werewolf... *pffft* as if! Right? Oh, Charley, you have no idea just how envious I am of you right now! wink Even though it's told in more of a 3rd person, it still has the feel of being told from, by Charley, as well as from Rafe, sharing his inner thoughts & feelings, too! It's hard to explain, but it sure helps bring the more personal side - or is that the WOLF-AL side? - of the story to life! It also connected me to the characters and the story in ways I didn't expect or even think possible! Combined with the beautiful storytelling, it had me soaking it in all, experiencing, living, breathing in every single moment of it! While this is my first taste of the magical writings of C. D. Gorri, rogue wolves - Were or otherwise - cannot keep me away from devouring ALL of her other books - past, present and future!! Wouldn’t it be wonderful if it was true? If he really was a Werewolf and he wanted her to be his mate?

It was free. It was not at all what I expected from the summary on Amazon. I didn’t really have a problem with the instant-love as that is typical in a fated mates book, but the writing and story had me laughing all the way thru and not in a good way. For some reason the author felt Charley being a virgin was important to mention in her thoughts because she was “saving herself” without knowing it, but not important to tell Rafe and had no impact on the sex. I feel like kidnapping followed by an immediate “they shouldn’t have but since you’re here” romp in the sheets and agreement to mating and having his pups was ridiculous especially when she didn’t even believe they were wolves. He couldn’t prove it to her until the full moon as all werewolves were cursed to be separated from their wolf except on the full moon.
Charley (Carlotta) is at the bus stop heading to a blind date when she gets kidnapped by a group of guys (she never contacts anyone because she says she has no one to miss her but SOMEONE set her up on that date). Their Alpha needs a mate so they took matters into their own paws. Rafe sees her and decides he has to have her, makes a deal that she will mate him at least until Christmas Eve then he will let her walk away. Of course this includes tons of sex over the next few days. She asks about condoms and he says it’s unnecessary since he’s a wolf - he can’t get diseases and would smell if she was ovulating. Even though she doesn’t believe he’s a wolf she accepts it, she can cook and sing and immediately fits in with everyone. After a couple of days she falls in love with him and when he reveals his wolf a bond snaps into place between her and all the wolves at the house. He says that kind of bond is something of legend and that’s it. Rafe thinks about having a future with Charley and how his sister was born from his mom having and affair then his mom left the two of them with his mediocre father. Charley gets a crash course on wolf etiquette, Skoll makes a scene at the party, Rafe finds Charley packing after the party and finally asks her to stay with him.

Rafe Maccon was ready to take his role as Pack Alpha. The pack had just successfully come from a battle and Rafe, the warrior, would now become leader.
Charley was waiting at the bus stop in the pouring hail and rain. As if to add “insult to injury”, it thundered ominously overhead! She was wearing her one good dress – wool, which would be ruined by the rain. She was supposed to be going on a blind date, but she had to work late. It seemed like the bus was late too! Then a black van pulled up across the street and the driver stared at her. Thunder boomed loudly, startling her so that she didn’t notice the van do a U-turn and stop next to her. She was grabbed from behind and forced into the van. When she resisted and broke the nose of one of the guys, they held a rag over her nose and knocked her unconscious.
Waking up in a nice bedroom with 7 men surrounding her was a bit unnerving, but Charley started screaming at them immediately. When they told her they were werewolves and explained how they needed her, she was ready to walk out the door, figuring they were beyond crazy – until a gorgeous man walked into the room. He scowled and growled, “Damn it, Seff! You kidnapped another one?” And Charley promptly fainted. Not a great start to her adventure, but will our gutsy heroine take a chance on the huge alpha? They only have until Christmas Eve or Rafe will lose the leadership of his pack!

Rafe is a werewolf and the Alpha of his pack. His pack as just successfully finished a war with a rival pack in which the former alpha died. In order to be officially recognized as Alpha of his pack, Rafe needs a mate. Luckily (or maybe unluckily) his friends are willing to help. And Rafe can only pray he can keep her as he knows he's met his mate. The one he will want for the rest of his life.

Let me start by saying this was a fun and sexy read with little splashes of humour.
The wolf pack dynamics and rules were slightly different from most stories of this theme, making it sufficiently different to keep it interesting.
The Alpha and his wolf guards all live together and the Camaraderie and banter between the wolves comes across well and you start to get a glimpse of their personalities. The only thing I had issue with was just how quickly Charley accepted her situation ! One minute she's kidnapped screaming off the street by several men, held against her will and basically told she's being forced into a mating and the next morning she's taking over the kitchen cooking for them all like nothing unusual has happened ? Now, regardless of how hot Rafe is and how strong an attraction she feels, i would have expected her to be a little more cautious, wary and confused. This is a novella so the story has to move along quite quickly but I'd like to have seen a bit more of her struggling with that transition. All in all it is an enjoyable read and I would recommend it.

Gorri is a paranormal, werewolves/ Shifters fantasy romance. Instant attraction sparks between them. Can Rafe convince Charley to be his before the meeting of Pack elders on Christmas Eve? Will she be his one true mate, for life? I really enjoy Rafe and Charley's story as much as the previous stories by the author. What a fun and endearing novella! Two sweet beings meeting with an instant sizzle! Any story that has that protective guy and the not so sure female is sure to be a fascinating subject. Add in that special and embedded dash of magic and you've got quite the page turning adventure ♡ This is the first story I've ever read from Ms. Gorri and without a doubt, I'll be adding the rest of the series to my TBR pile. Charley (or Carlotta as Rate calls her) is kidnapped by Rafe's wolf guard to be his mate. The attraction is instantaneous on both sides. Although she thinks he is a bit crazy and doesn't believe he is a werewolf, she agrees to help him with the pack Council.
This is just a good fun book and I thoroughly enjoyed the wolf guard. They made me laugh.

I really liked “Charley’s Christmas Wolf” from C. D. Gorri. It is a really well written book with lovely characters who have great chemistry and interaction that pull you into their story. This is an Entertaining, Must Read Romance that is worthy of your time and I would recommend it to anyone. I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book. Looking forward to reading more from C. D. Gorri

I found it an enjoyable fun read and recommend it to anyone who loves shifter romantic stories. I want to read the next installment in this series to find out what happens to the pack next.

I have read a couple of this authors books in the last few day and I am really enjoying them and this one did not disappoint it was a really well-written shifter romance that will pill you in you will not want to stop reading.I really liked both Rafe and Charley and really enjoyed getting to know them.A super read and a great start to the series I can't wait to read more.
