Hickman and Ribic totally nailed the feel of an Aliens film - eerie and desolate wastelands punctuated by frightening encounters with xenomorphs. The Avengers just happen to be transplanted in this sorry future.
This issue. The artwork is still solid, showing what some of our heroes might look like in "the distant future" (although Miles still looks as young as ever in relation to Carol and Tony). It continues its trend .
I feel like there are gaps in the story (and not just the gap involving the amount of time it would take to travel from the Earth to Mars depending on where the planets were in conjunction to each other, their orbits, and the Sun), that we should have been given "more information" (at the risk of bloating the story in some respects and making each issue more expensive).
I was left somewhere between a giant, underwhelmed meh and frustrated after reading this issue (a weird mix of emotions, to be sure, hahahah!). Two stars for me.

The promising start of this series sadly hit it's peak too early. with the story stretching far beyond just an Alien / Avenger clash, it stretches far into anything it can for what I can only describe as a "viral moment"; doing so makes it severely lack any impact. this review is written after finishing all issues and waiting on it for some months.

You would think that this story would read like one of the most forced things you run into. But then, Hickman writes this. Damn, the man's good. Ribic stellar art "helps", so to speak. It's a great comic, period.
Heroes Vs the ultimate killing machine. A brutal and apocalyptic tale of the last remaining avengers facing off against an awful foe, full of epic moments, loss and sacrifice. This series continues to fire on all cylinders. Hickman is a hell of a writer and Esad Ribic is an unbelievable artist.
It had some goody moments with Sinister that took me out of the story, but its still a strong series. I look forward to its final conclusion next issue.
