Bah freaking humbug.

I hate Christmas—always have, always will. From the gaudy trees to the over-the-top decorations and the traditions everyone clings to like they’re sacred.
Particularly my family.

They own Mistletoe Town—a Hallmark movie come to life and a place most people only dream about. Thanks to an unexpected inheritance from my great-grandfather, it’s my personal nightmare.

I’m stuck running this Christmas-obsessed town with an avalanche of memories I’ve spent thirteen years trying to forget.

But it’s not just the town I abandoned… it’s her.

And no matter how much I play the Scrooge, I’m about to find out some ghosts from the past can’t be ignored—or outrun.

Especially now that she’s my sweet new employee, baking spirits merry and bright.

If I want to stay off the naughty list, I have to learn how to play nice.

And let go of the past.

Take the human version of the grinch, the town of every hallmark movie, the perfect Mrs. Claus girl you’ve been in love with your entire life… what does that spell? A cute Christmas love story of all the things.

Looking for a fast-paced, OTT holiday puns, small town hallmark movie vibes and extra spicy read, this is for you!

Nicholas and Noelle were best friends. They meet up again, 13 years later, when Nicholas is forced to return to town. He's the Scrooge and she's the Christmas lover. They reconnect and get their second chance. Many tropes: childhood besties to lovers, with duel POV and timelines. Cute, hot, (old) instalove holiday read! I liked it, didn't love it.

I’ve wanted to read this author for awhile. So when a holiday romance popped up, I jumped at the chance to read and review! This was a very quick and easy read. It had fun holiday aspects, especially with the setting of a town that was basically dedicated to Christmas all year long!

Definitely a grumpy/sunshine but also an enemies to lovers romance too. Once upon a time, Nicholas and Noelle (perfect names for this story) were best friends. And then Nicholas – our grump/Christmas hating hero – moved away and when he asked Noelle to come with, but she said no because she loved the town, he told her they were over. When he comes back because he’s been given ownership of the town, the two meet and fireworks explode!

Nicholas is flirty and can’t seem to keep from offering her innuendos and telling her exactly how he feels about her. Noelle can’t believe he really likes her that way at first, because why in the world would he have left her like he did? Things quickly heat up between the two of them, and they do get together. This book had a lot of spicy bedroom scenes.

It reminded me of when I first started reading more romance and I looked for the books like this, almost at times speeding through the story to get to the steamy scenes. However these days I tend to put more interest into the story itself, and in some ways this fell a little short for me because at times there seemed to be more of those scenes than story. I also felt there were a few instances where the story jumped or skipped over something, and I’d have to go back a few pages to see what I’d maybe missed, but this time I didn’t find anything missed.

Overall I did enjoy it, especially all the fun Christmas puns and innuendos the two of them tossed back and forth both in banter as well as during the sexy times.

Author: M. Robinson
Rating: 4/5 ⭐️
Spiciness Rating: 3/5 🌶
POV: First Person Dual Perspective
Couple: Nicholas and Noelle
Trope(s): Enemies To Lovers, Second Chance Romance, Holiday Romance

This is a cute holiday romance. We alternate being the present and the past as Monica loves to do when spinning her tale. This is a lighthearted book, low on angst, full of wit and romance. An easy and enjoyable read to remind us of the magic of the holidays.

Nicholas St. Clair has returned to the one place he has avoided for the last thirteen years, home. And, all because his grandfather passed away and left him the town. When he left home it was to build his own business separate from his family. Now with a thriving general contracting business the last thing he wants to do is put his life on hold.

Noelle Woods moved to Mistletoe Town when she was fourteen and fell in love. She turned her hobby of baking into a career and has been the town baker for the last nine years.

Once upon a time they had been best friends. Until Nicholas needed out and Noelle could never leave.

Now the town grinch was back. And, Nicholas wanted back into Noelle’s life.

2.5 🌶️

❄️ small town
🎄 Grinch/ Mrs. Clause
❄️ Second Chance Romance
🎄Enemies To Lovers

I had really high hopes for this Christmas romance. It got so much hype on IG and the NSFW art that I saw was TOP NOTCH. I felt as if that was laying so ground work for how the book was going to be. The first chance I had in between ARCs I opened it up. It started off slow, and honestly didn't get any better.

I truly enjoyed the banter and the jokes between Noelle and Nicholas. But that is where the fun ended other than the spicy scenes. I felt like it was just lacking in anything to keep me engaged and wanting to come back to the book. It focused to much on Nicholas and his downfalls.

🔥 Spice Level: 2.5 🌶️/5

The scenes in this book were great! Very well played out and the banter went well with it. Some of the one liners could have been left out. At times there were a few too many.

what did i just read. wattpad books are better than this.

this is a really, really fast paced novella - i knew that and i was okay with it because that’s exactly what i was looking for but i wish that the hatred she felt towards him at the beginning was done a bit slower, like i wish it lingered more (and not them being totally in love again right away after not having seen each other for 13 whole ass years bfr).

the storyline had potential and even though it goes hasty, it wasn’t that bad. but let’s talk about the writing style… a completely no for me - so many things didn’t make sense and the sequences between chapters were confusing and overall the writing was bad.

if it wasn’t because i was reading this for a reading vlog video, i would’ve dnfed it.

This was just pure smut and I am here for it!! Monica’s first holiday romance was a hit and once again she proves she’s the queen of smutty goodness. I loved reading the little glimpses of Noelle and Nicholas’ past and seeing how their relationship began before fading away. The first meet after Nicholas arrives back in town had me giggling! I felt so sorry for her but she owned it like a boss. The fireplace scene?! Omg strap yourself in for that one!! I loved my time reading this story and I hope it won’t be her last Christmas story as it was so fun to read and definitely one for the Santa smut lovers. Thank you so much to Monica and Wildfire Marketing for sending me an arc of this!

Basically, it's a bad, smutty hallmark movie. It's cute and entertaining, though. The Christmas puns were funny and had me and my husband laughing.

The writing was okay. Switching from different points of view got confusing sometimes. There would be some transitions that didn't make any sense.

So if you go in with low expectations, it's a decent guilty pleasure type of read.

This was awful. The fact that it averages 4 stars is baffling. Not only is it a cliche romance (I anticipated that) it’s freaking weird. The Christmas - sex puns were WAY too much. This is the cringiest thing I’ve ever read.

If you're looking for a spicy read and still in the holiday spirit, this is the perfect novella for you. grumpy/sunshine and Mr grumpy unfortunately inherits the town that embodies Christmas. His ex-best friend is the baker and let's just say things weren't left the best when he left the town.

Nicholas St. Clair, a business contractor is now the owner of Mistletoe Town according to his grandfather's will but he is so angry about it.
Nicholas goes back to Christmas Town & meets up with Elle, the bakery owner and his childhood friend. Elle was very businesslike with him due to the fact that he is her boss now.
I loved this book so much and the epilogue was a chef's kiss

Universal!

Nicholas' grandfather just willed him the one thing he never wanted - his Christmas obsessed hometown, Mistletoe Town. Now he has to go back and face not just his family, the family who never let him be and do what he wanted, but the girl. THE girl. Noelle was his best friend, the only one who really got him, but he had to leave her behind too, when he left for his own wellbeing. Now he's back and is determined to have Noelle in his life again. Permanently.

Noelle was devastated when Nicholas left town and never looked back. He never contacted her after he left, and now he waltzes back and wants her to just welcome him with open arms?!? Nope. This baker isn't about to let this Scrooge back into her life, and definitely not back into her heart.

This is one of the steamiest holiday romances I've read in a long time. Once they reunited, it was full steam ahead, ALL steam ahead. There wasn't enough communication and development of their emotional connection, though, because of all the steam, but the story is still cute and ended in a sweet, magical way. The Christmas spirit in Mistletoe Town was strong, especially in the end, and finally overcame Nicholas' Grinchey tendencies so that he could allow all the love Noelle and his family always had for him to make their way into his frozen heart.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS BOOK!

Nicholas is now my new book boyfriend, he is such a grinch and I love it!

~The Storyline~
Nicholas Saint Clair has left his home —Mistletoe Town— a winter wonderland come to life; to find himself and start his own business away from his family and all the connections they have as they OWN the town. Thirteen years later his grandfather passes and leaves the town to him meaning he has to come home for the first time in over a decade.

Noelle Woods is the baker for Mistletoe Town and the girl Nicholas left behind. Now that he is back she worries about being hurt again the way she was when he left the first time. Only Nicholas seems very set on making her feel all those old feelings again. Not wanting to be hurt or abandoned again Noelle puts up a wall blocking him from her heart again.

~The Review~
I adore Nicholas and Noelle's relationship, he was the first friend she made when she moved to Mistletoe and the first boy she ever loved. She made him see Christmas as magic when he never liked it and wanted nothing to do with the holiday. They brought out so many different and complex emotions in each other even when they were teenagers that it was clear from the start they were always meant to be together. Seeing them as adults and getting those flashback moments where we get to see them grow together made this such a fun read!

While their relationship is mostly sex once he returns, he has no intention of losing her again and she beings falling for him all over again. Noelle really brings out the Christmas in Nicholas, he dresses as Santa and the Grinch for her, he built her a life-size gingerbread house as an anniversary gift for her first year in Mistletoe, he beings thinking of Christmas and the town as magic with her. Its amazing to see the growth he has throughout the book and his view on the town and Christmas change as his feeling for Noelle grow.

Nicholas knows he hurt Noelle when he left but he had to do what was best for him and now that he is back he is spending all his time trying to get back into her life and her heart. He is completely delusional for even suggesting he hasn't been in love with her this entire time but it is so apparent to everyone else that they love each other mind, body and soul. Seeing them come to that realization is amazing.

Noelle is a strong and independent woman trying to still get over the hurt she felt when her best friend left her. She spends most of the book worried he is going to leave again and tries to keep a wall between them but Nicholas sneaks into not only her heart but her house and mind.

INHERITED HOLIDAY by M. Robinson is a stand alone, contemporary, adult, erotic, holiday romance story line focusing on general contractor and heir to Mistletoe Town Nicholas Saint Clair, and baker Noelle Woods.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Nicholas and Noelle) INHERITED HOLIDAY follows Nicholas Saint Clair as he returns to Mistletoe Town in the wake of his grandfather’s death. Nicholas wanted something different for his life, and left the family owned town years before but with his grandfather’s death came the surprise announcement that Nicholas had inherited Mistletoe Town, and was expected to make an appearance at the next town meeting. Nicholas had always wanted to do something else with his life, and when the woman he loved refused to leave, Nicholas walked away without looking back. Noelle Woods loves living and working in Mistletoe Town, and as the local baker, Noelle is looking forward to everything Christmas but the return of Nicholas Saint Clair brings with it too many heart breaking memories including the heart breaking reality of Nicholas walking out of her life. Reconnecting with Nicholas meant helping him overcome his Christmas Grinch ways, and in doing so, found the happiness she lost so many years before.

The world building focuses on the rekindling romance between our story line couple, a romance broken but Nicholas need to run from the town his family owned. Having always wanted to do something else, Nicholas found himself on the outside looking in upon his return to Mistletoe Town.

The relationship between Nicholas and Noelle is one of second chances; a rekindling romance in which Nicholas and Noelle never stopped loving one another, and were quick to forgive for sins of the past. The $ex scenes are intimate and provocative without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

The colorful secondary and supporting characters include Nicholas brother Felix, and their sister Holly, parents and grandmother.

INHERITED HOLIDAY is a holiday story of family and friendships, relationships and love. The fast paced premise is inviting and spirited; the characters are animated, sassy and determined; the romance is spirited and tender.

Inherited Holiday is author M. Robinson newest release.
Set in a Small Town, this Christmas Holiday, Grumpy/Sunshine, Second Chance Romance has us following the story of Nicholas Saint Clair and Noelle ‘Elle’ Woods through the telling of their dual perspective within the presence and the past, due to the addition of flashbacks.

The story was fairly fast when it came to the movement of pace of the narrative’s development.
From learning about Nicholas and Elle as individuals, whilst seeing the lives they were living to their reunification that not only put them in forced proximity thanks to their jobs. But led to the showcasing of their Second Chance, not only for their friendship, the flourishing of their attempt at a romantic relationship too, given the feelings they had been harbouring for one another. Paving the way for ongoing movement that was quite a steady flow throughout.
Simultaneously Monica included the presence of secondary characters that came in the form of Nicholas and Elle’s family and friends within the story too.
Ultimately adding onto an already filling storyline that presented the usual elements of drama, humour, romance and entertainment within a holiday festive season.

If there is one thing you can expect from author Monica’s books, it’s that they always deliver on the Spice factor. And Inherited Holiday is the latest addition to that.
Considering the chemistry Nicholas and Elle shared within the building of their romantic relationship, it was no surprise that it led to Uninhibited, Raunchy, Red-Hot, Lustful steam that had all the snowman melting from just how Sizzling it truly was between the two.
They could have easily set a fire from the Smokey Heat they created in every naughty moment shared.

After reading Inherited Holiday, it can honestly be said that it turned out to be such a fun, entertaining and joyful, pleasant read.
From the inclusion of family, friends and love, it was no wonder it had you in all the feels with what author M. Robinson delivered in this Holiday Festive, Spicy Romance story of Nicholas and Elle.

M. Robinson's Inherited Holiday is a captivating holiday romance that beautifully intertwines themes of love, family, and self-discovery. The story follows the journey of the protagonist as she navigates unexpected challenges during the festive season, leading to a heartwarming and engaging narrative.

From the outset, I was drawn into the protagonist's world, where her struggles and aspirations felt relatable and authentic. Robinson excels at creating well-rounded characters that resonate with readers. The emotional depth of the main character's journey is complemented by a cast of supporting characters who add richness and complexity to the story.

One of the standout elements of this book is its festive atmosphere. The holiday setting is vividly described, immersing readers in the sights and sounds of the season. Robinson captures the magic of Christmas through family traditions and heartwarming moments that evoke a sense of nostalgia and joy. The incorporation of holiday-themed events adds a playful touch, making it a perfect read for this time of year.

The romance in Inherited Holiday is both sweet and steamy, with chemistry that is palpable between the leads. Their relationship evolves naturally, filled with tender moments that tug at your heartstrings. I appreciated how Robinson balanced romantic tension with personal growth, allowing both characters to shine individually while also growing together.

While I thoroughly enjoyed the story, there were moments where certain plot points felt a bit predictable, which is why I’m giving Inherited Holiday a solid 4-star rating instead of a perfect score. However, this did not detract from my overall enjoyment; the warmth and charm of the characters kept me engaged throughout.

In conclusion, Inherited Holiday is an enchanting read that captures the essence of love during the festive season. M. Robinson has crafted a delightful story filled with humor, heart, and holiday cheer. If you're looking for a cozy romance that will leave you feeling warm and fuzzy inside, this book is definitely worth adding to your reading list!

Don't get fooled by this cute cover. This one has enough fire to melt the North Pole. I don't read many holiday romance because they are too sweet and cheerful for me. But something like Inherited Holiday by M. Robinson? I can get behind the idea! Nicholas and Noelle are being extremely naughty this Christmas while navigating their complicated feels at the same time. A magical place like Mistletoe Town can heal all wounds and repair every broken heart.

Again, don't get fooled by the name Nicholas because this man is not saintly at all. Not a single bit. He is so deliciously alpha and grumpy in a sexy way. He is a Grinch on the outside but a believer in Christmas joy inside. He has to come back to the home town he abandoned all those years ago because his grandfather has left it to him in his will. He never wanted anything to do with the family business or the Christmas celebration managed by them. Now he is facing his choices. Including breaking his best friend’s heart.

Noelle isn't going to be tamed so easily. She was devastated when Nicholas left town to make his own career and then cut her off his life. She cannot trust this man ro suddenly grow love and respect for the holiday and for the town. But Nicholas has missed her. He realises she is the missing piece of his heart. He has to prove it. Even if it means facing his past and embracing the holiday he despised so long. He was relentless. Unleasing his charm, using his sex appeal to the full potential, seducing her and showing her that they are fireworks together. Noelle is such a sweetheart but her sass is amazing and she sure made him work for it. This town and Christmas and her bakery mean a lot to her. As it should be. The author created such a dreamy and cozy and heartwarming place with all kinds of holiday shenanigans. But she balanced it with the spice so well. In the end, everything fell into place.

Rushed work. It read more like an outline of a story than an actual finished & published book. There were both grammar & punctuation errors. Plus, SOOO many repeats of the same descriptive words. I mean, how many times do we need to refer to the man’s hands has calloused before we find another word to describe them? Rough, worked, hardened, thickened, stiffened, rigid.. Just to name a few. This author would do some good by looking into a thesaurus. The “spicy” scenes were badly written, extremely rushed, and hardly any description written into them. It was hard to even follow what position they were getting spicy in.. The dialogue was hard to follow too, I had to go back and count lines multiple times to figure out who said what. I feel like there was a lot of time that was skipped over from the “hating each other” to the “ok let’s bang” part. I feel like the flashback chapters could’ve been reduced down to a quick inner monologue or even the characters talking about the past versus a whole throwback chapter. The list making of descriptive terms really irked me, instead of making a list of words, tell a story with them. Make your readers feel something. Let us get in the characters heads. And it just looks badly formatted on top of everything. I caught the vibe that the author realized she wanted to publish a Christmas novella probably a month before she released this one. Does it have potential? Absolutely. But whoever is editing her books needs to either be fired, or be fricken for real with her. I’m really not trying to be a Karen, but this shouldn’t have been published in this state. I’m hoping this offers some constructive criticism for the author, and hopefully she can branch out with her world building, descriptive words, spicy scenes, get a better editing team, and dedicate some more time to create better writing pieces than what this novella offers. Highly disappointed.

M. Robinson has created a Christmas Wonderland with her latest book, Inherited Holiday. As you read through the scenes, you'll immediately be put in the holiday spirit. Even the main characters' names tie in beautifully with the Christmas theme: Nicholas Saint Clair and Noelle Woods. Nicholas’s grandfather owns Mistletoe Town, and upon his death, he leaves the ownership of the town to Nicholas. The twist is that Nicholas has been away for thirteen years building his own business and has no interest in Christmas. Noelle and her father moved to Mistletoe Town because her late mother had always wanted to live there. Noelle fell in love with the town’s charm and the people, becoming the town's baker. She absolutely enjoys all the excitement that comes with the holiday season. These two ex-friends have a lot of catching up to do after all the years apart.

Inherited Holiday is M. Robinson’s first Christmas story. It’s a small-town, second-chance, friends-to-lovers, boss/employee romance. From their very first scene together, Nicholas and Noelle share a comfortable banter that reignites their connection.

What I loved about this book was the portrayal of family unity and how time only made their bonds stronger. The characters’ growth and their re-discovery of love was both heartwarming and enchanting.

I thoroughly enjoyed this Christmas romance. The underlying themes are heartfelt and charming, making it a perfect read for the holiday season. As always, M. Robinson delivers with the spicy, sexy scenes, and she fills this book with emotional depth and festive charm.

Nicholas and Noelle…mmm, chef’s kiss!

Nicholas has inherited the Mistletoe Town as the result of his grandfather’s passing. This is where Nicholas grew up, but was quick to get out the second he graduated high school, so this will be his first time back since then.

Noelle on the other hand moved to Mistletoe Town with her parents when she was 14. The town was quick to steal her heart, so now she resides here and is the town baker.

The grinchy town owner is now Noelle’s boss and Nicholas is trying his hardest to get on her good side, which of course isn’t going very well.

The last time Nicholas left town he shattered Noelle’s heart and she’s not aching to give it back to him. Doesn’t keep him from trying though.

Can Nicholas and Noelle start again and find true love through each other? Only time will tell.

Things very obviously move fast with this being a novella, but it’s the best hallmark movie come to print the M. Robinson could have written! You will absolutely love Nicholas and Noelle, so go snag this book quick so you can have a cozy Christmas read! ❤️🎄
