Obviously I am a bit bias being the authors husband, but I can honestly say that this book capivated me from start to finish. The story sucked me in and left me more than once thinking 'What if'. This rollercoaster ride starts with Cassie being left to die in a remote area of Western Australia and then becoming intangled in the lives of strangers. From then on I found myself wanting (more so needing)to read more not only to uncover the answers to the many guarded secrets but also to be part of the ride. You will fall in love with all of the characters, Cassie being my favourite....hot, hot, hot, but I am sure Kayden and his team will spark the imagination of the female readers. As per the books catch phase 'Hold on while the Cloud Riders take flight'. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
For those wanting more the best news is that Cloud Riders is the first book in a series of five.

I'll be honest, this book took me a while to read, the first half was far more mushier than I am used to. The second half was more my thing and i really enjoyed the last quarter of the book.

Interestingly, after reading the first half I didn't think I would want to read the second book, but it finished strong and now I am looking forward to book two!

A great book for a first time author!

A fantastic effort for first time author, Debbie Behan. Her fantasy novel 'Cloud Riders' takes you on a journey to the stars. A charismatic team of warriors that protect the universe pulls the reader into the adventure and takes them along for the ride as they fight for peace. Set in the Australian Outback. Give it a go!

If you like your fantasy thick, fast and action packed then this is the next novel to add to your must read list. Myth and magic are intertwined with a touching tale of love to pack a powerful punch and leave you blinking the star dust out of your eyes. The cast of hunky men certainly don't go astray either! Behan's world is not only majestic and full of mystery, it is so well realised it becomes a vital character in its own right. Here every little daydream or thought we have ever had when gazing into the night sky is built on with vibrant colour and the possibilities certainly do seem endless in Behan's imagination.

The characterisation is spot on and our heroine certainly holds her own. Cassie is an absolute delight to discover and her awakening and journey will leave you transfixed right from the very beginning. There is a refreshing innocence about her and despite all the obstacles life has continuously thrown her way her spirit retains a sense of purity that will have you constantly drawn to her and invested fully in her plight.

The only downside I found where that in some passages in the first half of the book I felt overloaded with information and the action and suspense became lost as more of the mystery surrounding Cassie unfolded, but this didn't detract from my overall enjoyment. The second half more than made up for the fact and the ending left me utterly breathless. I'd certainly take up the adventure and head to the stars with the crew all over again in the next installment. Behan has brought something exciting and new to the table and uniquely Australian. Armchair magic at some of it's best. A solid 4/5.

Debbie Behan clearly has a significant knowledge of mythology, the constellations and the universe and brings this together in an impressive way in this story about a woman who finds herself mysteriously stranded in the Australian outback at the mercy of a strange bunch of men who have a mysterious secret of their own.

At well over 100,000 words, `Cloud Riders` is a very long story so be prepared for the long haul. At times the action and the pace in some of the scenes set on Earth are quite slow, contrasted with very fast paced and action-packed scenes set in space where the Cloud Riders do battle with the enemies of the universe.

I know the Cloud Riders will be having further adventures, and I am prepared to read the next instalment when it is published.

I couldn't finish it. Within the first chapter I didn't care for the writing style and nothing endeared me to the characters. I skimmed for a few chapters then called it quits.

If you like ambiguity, surface characters, and a slow pace this book is for you.
