I første etasje bor Hulda Nedenunder.
Anne-Catharina Vestly, but published as Anne-Cath. Vestly is a Norwegian actress and author of children books. She debuted with "Ole Aleksander Filibom-bom-bom" in 1953. Her first works were designed to be read on the radio, making the language to a greater extent oral than in her later books. Through the Norwegian children radio program "Barnetimen for de minste" she developed a large audience for her children stories. Some of her books were adapted into movies. As an actress, the Anne-Cath. Vestly herself played the role as the grandmother in the films about "Mormor og de åtte ungene". An interesting aspect of Vestly's books are that she has created her own little town, "Tiriltoppen", where many of her characters live. Hence, earlier protagonists reoccur in later book series when their lives intertwine.
This is the first book I have read in Georgian, it is a delightful tale of a Norwegian family of 8 kids and the adventures they have. I needed Google Translate extensively to get through the book.
I don't remember much about this except all the kids' names began with a the same letter and they all spent a lot of time in that truck. It made me want loads of brothers and sisters. And a truck.
It was a lovely children's book, worthy of Lindgren. It was so fun, warm and moving. The whole book is full of kindness and sincerity. The huge family with limited financial resources find joy and pleasure and magic in the small, everyday things like a pirate party, painting the floor, going into the forest or riding in a tram. Even unpleasant and disagreeable people are not so bad when it comes to life tests. In this book such values as kindness, sincerity, family ties and even forgiveness are shown in such a simple and accessible way, what I have no doubt that a child will get it. And grown-ups will be left with a warm cozy feeling of something light and heartwarming coming in their life.
My favorite book to read in its Russian translation to refresh language skills. Great story too, I always imagined they lived in my building and in my apartment.
To drugi tom z serii przeczytany przeze mnie (chronologicznie jest pierwszy) i jestem zachwycona! Bohaterowie skradli moje serce, a opowiedziane przygody rozbawiły do łez.

My favorite childhood book. Read the series 3-4 times. Remember every detail with the feeling of nostalgia like I actually experienced all those stories. My childhood understanding of perfect life lives in those books
Just seeing this makes me smile - took me right back to way back, when I could just about read 'big books'. Must have read it over 50 times, mainly in bed, as it wasn't in the least bit scary. Love, love, love!
In a quiet town on the outskirts of the bustling city, there lived a family who brought joy and chaos in equal measure, known as the Merriweather family. They had eight children, each unique and vibrant in their own way. From the eldest, a bright and curious 16-year-old named Amelia, to the youngest, a mischievous 2-year-old named Max, their house was always filled with laughter, bickering, and the occasional tantrum. One fine summer morning, a rusty old truck pulled up in front of their house, marking the beginning of an extraordinary adventure. As the children gathered around the truck, their eyes sparkled with excitement and intrigue. Their father, John, a jack-of-all-trades, had purchased the truck for a steal, envisioning endless possibilities for family outings and summer road trips. The truck was far from perfect; it had seen better days, with peeling paint and a dented bumper, but to the Merriweather children, it was a symbol of adventure waiting to happen. With their bags packed and a cooler full of snacks, the family embarked on their first journey in the old truck. The children took turns sitting in the front seat next to their father, eager to feel the wind in their hair and imagine themselves as intrepid explorers. As they drove through winding roads and lush green landscapes, they sang along to their favorite songs, played games, and shared stories. During their travels, the Merriweather family encountered numerous adventures. They visited historical sites, went camping in the wilderness, and stumbled upon hidden gems along the way. They learned about different cultures, made new friends, and grew closer as a family. The old truck carried them through laughter and tears, challenges and triumphs. But one day, as they were driving through a remote mountain pass, disaster struck. A rockslide blocked their path, causing the truck to skid off the road and tumble down a steep embankment. The children were shaken but unhurt, thanks to the sturdy build of the old truck. However, they were stranded, miles away from civilization, with no way to contact help. In the face of adversity, the Merriweather family pulled together. They used their ingenuity and resourcefulness to survive. They rationed their food and water, built a shelter using fallen branches and leaves, and kept each other's spirits up with stories and games. As days turned into nights, their determination never wavered. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, a group of hikers stumbled upon their makeshift camp. With the hikers' help, the Merriweather family was rescued and taken to safety. The ordeal had tested their limits, but it had also strengthened their bond and taught them the importance of resilience and teamwork. Back home, the old truck was repaired, and its scarred exterior became a testament to the family's extraordinary journey. The Merriweather children never forgot their time spent in the wilderness, and the memories they had made together. The old truck remained a beloved symbol of their adventure, a reminder of the power of family and the indomitable spirit that lies within each and every one of us.
To prawdziwa perełka!
lt is an amazing children book about a huge family of papa, mama, grandma, 8 kids and a truck and their adventures. I love-love-love how kind and true to life of the characters. We love to copy their games and rituals. We've read this book for 20 times already and every time it is like a new story.
