I’m drowning in the numbness. It’s pulling me under and I can’t see the surface. It’s easier to pretend I can’t feel. And the longer you pretend, the easier it is to believe. But he wants to save me. Only he can’t. I have to save myself…and I don’t know if I want to.
Rowan Sinclair’s life has been anything but easy. With an alcoholic mother and a sleazy stepfather, it’s been her responsibility to raise her younger siblings. At twenty-one she’s chained to a life she doesn’t want, but sees no other alternative. After all, what would happen to her brother and sister if she were to leave?
Trenton Wentworth sees the pain behind Rowan’s eyes. He wants nothing more than to make it disappear. To hold her. To love her. Except Rowan keeps everyone at a safe distance. But if there’s anyone that can break down the walls she’s built around herself, it’s Trent. So she avoids him at all costs. But Trent isn’t one to be easily evaded. He’s stubborn and determined. He’ll save this girl even if it costs him everything.
Love, lies, and deception.
That’s the name of the game when you’re Tempting Rowan.
This is book three in the Trace + Olivia series but follows new characters. You do not need to read the first two books in the series to read this one.
Micalea Smeltzer is an author from Northern Virginia. Her two dogs, Ollie and Remy, are her constant companions. As a kidney transplant recipient she's dedicated to raising awareness around the effects of kidney disease, dialysis, and transplant as well as educating people on living donation. When she's not writing you can catch her with her nose buried in a book.
Funny how I guessed the heroine's secret almost at the very beginning of the story. Colour me surprised, I was initially thinking that I had to be wrong because it's weird af... in the context of this story.
Tempting Rowan I wasn’t sure what to except going into Tempting Rowan, I have to say I Love Trent. He is so different from Trace and I love that one minute we see Trent being this confident tuff guy and the next we see this side of him that one wouldn’t except. He Has this soft side to him and I love that He tries so hard to hard to hide That side of him Self from Rowan, He was deeply hurt by Her when she ran. She was lead to believe her whole life that she wasn’t worthy of love or the ones that should love her miss treated her and hurt her. In Tempting Rowan we she a young girl who is born given a crappy life by her mother and had to before her time and be a mother to her siblings because her mother wasn’t a mother and had no place ever being one if you ask me. Trent on the other hand had come from an amazing well off family and that loved and cared for each other more than anything. Trent wanted Rowan He had loved her since she move to town but she ran and he never knew why….
Well five year later Rowan is done running, She is done not living. She gives into her want with Trent at least for a little while. Until her secrets and a contract she signed come to haunt her. This Sends Trent running and Rowan was afraid she would never see him again, and on top of that what he found out he would never forgive. Thing get even worse for Rowan after this and my heart goes out to this girl as if she hasn’t been through enough already. I’m telling you your have to get this book you don’t want to miss out. I was in tears at one point in the book yes tears and I was going to throw my kindle. I was going to flip, how could the author end the book like that there was no way rest assured there is a HEA you just have to keep reading and trust me it’s totally worth the tears you may or may not shed. I give Tempting Rowan 5+ stars
UPDATE: Tempting Rowan and the rest of the 'Trace + Olivia' series underwent a complete a make-over. The stories are newly edited and each book were given a new set of covers.
This book is probably my favorite in this series. Well, I guess it is a tie between Tempting Rowan and Saving Tatum. If you haven't read the two previous books in this series yet, don't worry. Tempting Rowan is a total standalone and follows different characters.
If you've read Finding Olivia and Chasing Olivia prior to this novel, be prepared that Tempting Rowan is totally different. The plot has a lot of angst and it deals with a sensitive subject matter. I don't know why that is but I prefer Micalea's angsty and more serious novels. Although her lighter and fun books are enjoyable too, there's something about the seriousness of them. Micalea has the power to draw the reader into the story and one constantly wants to know what's going to happen next.
A few of you will say that second-chance novels are nothing new and you may be right with that, because the initial idea is always the same. But what makes a second-chance novel stand out is what the author makes of it. And Micalea created a fantastic and unique story that had me captivated from page one.
And the ending of the story. Oh boy... I can still see myself sitting on my bed and bawling my eyes out. It was terrible. Guys, please make sure you have enough tissues, it will get seriously emotional.
Amazing hero and two of the cutest little kiddos in a book but one of the most stupid and irritating heroines I've come across in a long time. Her and that stupid plot twist ruined everything for me. Grr!!
I also needed the H's POV. Being inside the h's head was just too tiresome. I needed a break from her.
"I belonged to Trenton since I was sixteen years old."
OH MY GAHD!
I totally loved it! I was hooked with Rowan from the first page up to the last – and don’t even start about Trenton !!!
If you think you loved Trace on the first and second book – wait until you meet the younger Wentworth, Trenton. He’s just amazing – he’s loyal, sweet, determined, persuasive, and funny. He’s totally irresistible. *SWOON* He totally stole my heart in the first few pages of the story.
The first thing that had come into my mind is that: why won’t Rowan let Trenton in? They have been best friends since they were young, they have shared more than enough, and it is very, very evident that he was head over heels in love with her – what went wrong?
For a young girl, Row had so much on her shoulders. When others went out on dates and having the time of their lives – she was at home, taking care of her siblings while her mother drowns herself in alcohol everyday and her step-father touching her any chance he got. I was desperate for her to just go to Trent, and be with him, leave their home with her siblings and be happy. She was totally miserable, if it wasn’t for her siblings, she’d have a mental breakdown from the stress and the secret that she was keeping.
Trenton, on the other hand, had let her go then – because it wasn’t their time. But now – he was moving forward, determined to have her – nothing is going to stop him this time. He would be patient, he would be nice, but he wouldn’t stay away. But even though how much he assured her about his feelings, she’s still keeping things from him, and he was dying to know what it was. He wanted to stop the pain, the hurting in her eyes. He wanted to love her, she already has his heart, since he was sixteen. But no matter what he does, she keeps a close guarded wall around her heart. This time, he would do anything to destroy those walls and make her see how much she meant to him.
But it was sooooo much hard work before she can finally see, and when she did, love found its way to her heart. All these time she thought she was incapable of loving – but how can their relationship last when it was already doomed from the start? The secret that she has been keeping will drive him away, or much worst, will make him hate her.
I HAVE NO IDEA IT WAS THAT HUGE! I have some wild guesses what she has been keeping from Trent, but definitely NOT THAT ONE. It came to me as a surprise. Where in the world did it come from? I hated her mother even more.
And you won’t miss Trace and Olivia because they appear here too! Trace – I loved him even more for what he did for Row and her siblings. He was such a great guy. Heart of gold seems to run into the Wentworth genes.
The ending had me in near-tears. Awww. I thought Micalea would give me a different ending that what I was expecting, thank goodness she didn’t. Although my heart almost stopped there when the alarms went off. I was sure they were going to have a happy ending, and then all of a sudden, I wasn’t so sure at all… yay.
Fall in love, get in the webs of lies and deception, get your heart break and your adrenaline pumping –Tempting Rowan was a great read that had me kept going all those wee hours of the morning. Definitely one of those must-reads.
"Love wasn’t meant to come with strings; it was free and uncomplicated – as easy as breathing."

I think Trent should just let me have his babies, "it would be creepy if I said I came here because I saw your car. Ferret food seemed like a safe excuse," he chuckled." Damn that boy has some alpha issues to work out when it comes to Rowan, "don't listen to her," Trent waved a hand dismissively. "My girlfriend likes to assert her independence by buying the groceries. But I'm a man, and that's my job. She really needs to stop getting her panties in such a bunch." Great thing to say about Rowan, and we know you think about her damn panties (a lot). JUDE his a** needs his own book that's for damn sure, "hey," he raised his hands in defense, "I know you're not interested in me, that's why we're friends. But that dude over there is flaring at me like he wants to rip my balls from my body." Trent he has his priorities set when it comes to Rowan, "I'll show you around the room later," he growled against the skin of my neck, "for now, I'd like to acquaint you with my bed." I'm not sure what it is with these two people but when they're around each other it's all about sex my goodness Trent that boy is the worst out of them, "I'm not having sex with you in a hospital," I gasped, appalled that he'd suggest such a thing after everything he'd been through. "Especially after you just had surgery! You're not in the clear yet, Trent." If something had stayed the same at the end of the book let's just say Micalea and I would, well the girl would end up putting a restraining order on my a**.
I love this series and absolutely adored Olivia and Trace in the first two books. I couldn't wait for Trent's story and I have to say that Micalea Smeltzer did such an amazing job with this story. I felt all of the emotions that Trent and Rowan felt. It was an emotional roller coaster ride and you may want to have a few tissues handy.
Rowan is just 21 years old but she has had more responsibilities than most girls her age. Her mother is a drunk, her step father is a sleezeball, and her real father left when she was little. Her mother is both verbally and physically abusive to her and basically tells her how worthless she is, when in reality it is just the opposite. At 21 years of age Rowan should be worrying about her friends, her classes, boys, what she will be doing on her weekends, the normal stuff that most college aged girls worry about. But life for Rowan is not the norm. She has been taking care of her brother and sister for as long as she can remember. She works hard, goes to school and is more of a mother to those two kids than her mother ever was. Rowan deserves happiness and love in her life, but the meaning of love to Rowan has been scarred because of her childhood. There is one person in her past that has always been there for her. One person who understood her and loved her. But she pushed him away the minute he expressed his true feelings. And now five years later he wants her back.
Trent Wentworth grew up in a very privileged household. Never wanting for anything. He is one of the sweetest, caring young men out there. He has loved Rowan since they were 16 and never cared what her family life was like. But for Rowan, Trent is so far out of her league that she feels she doesn't deserve him and pushes him away. But Trent knows and feels what is between them. And he will do what it takes to make her his. But Rowan has a secret from her past. And once that secret comes out it could ruin any chance that they have together.
Trent was just amazing. His caring and thoughtful ways will completely melt you heart. If you loved Trace in the first books then would will fall in love with his brother. My heart broke for Rowan for what she went through. But she is one strong woman who will do what it takes to make sure her siblings are cared for, loved and have a good life. But despite her strength when it comes to those two kids, she has her own insecurities, not feeling that she deserves the love that Trent has for her. As much as she wants to be with him she knows that he deserves better.
Tempting Rowan was a fantastic read. When Rowan's secret comes out I was so afraid of what would happen next. I loved them together and knowing this secret could destroy their love just made my heart ache for them. And if that heartache wasn't enough there was this "holy crap" moment where I found myself with tears in my eyes praying that it would all be ok. It's was an emotional story, between the moments that followed the big secret reveal, to the way Rowan's mother treated her to her own insecurities about how worthless she felt at times. But it also had those moments that will melt your heart. I loved every minute of it. Ms. Smeltzer knows how to draw you in. She knows how to make you feel the pain and the emotion of her characters. I think she completely outdid herself with this one. I honestly didn't see the twists coming and when they did I was afraid of where it was heading. What I also loved was that we also got an added bonus in the form for Trace and Olivia. I especially loved the moments towards the end with Trace and how amazing and understanding he was. Excellent job. Cannot wait for the next one.
“Tempting Rowan” was an emotional roller coaster for me; almost too much of one for my liking. I enjoyed reading about Trent and Rowan’s story, and thought their characters were good – Trent more so than Rowan. She had to deal with a lot of crap with her family, and secrets she had to keep hidden from those she truly loved. There was definitely a lot of drama and emotion throughout this book, some better than others. And there were also quite a few surprises as well, some good and others not so good. I did enjoy the fact that I was able to see past couples and characters from the previous two books in the Trace + Olivia series. I did like the ending and it definitely wasn’t what I was expecting, but I wish it could have been a little different – although that’s just a personal preference. I hate to give books lower ratings if I really don’t have to, but I pride myself on being honest, and unfortunately this book was just missing something for me. Nothing against the author, because I immensely enjoyed the first two books in the series and I really love her writing style, but this one missed the mark for me. With all of that being said, I am looking forward to reading Tatum’s story in the last book of the Trace + Olivia series, “Saving Tatum.”
Omg was she stupid!!! I am so mad at the heroine. Sorry but my 16 year old little girl-woman was yelling at me " you stupid bitch! You're living the dream with a dream man and you just walked away!? You don't deserve that man!!" I was too mad at her bullshit that I had to finally understand how badly she FML herself! She was just agh so frustrating. If it was just the hero this book would be a solid 5 he was the whole deal. Loved the hero. Just not a keeper for me. And man I would have killed for a moment in his head!!! That took off another star for me also. Great story great hero horrible heroine and no double POV. So 3 instead of 5
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review for Stephanie's Book Reports.
Tempting Rowan is the third book in the Trace + Olivia Series from Micalea Smeltzer.

Holy cow!!! Can I please go back in time and be young again. I swear all these books have made me wish to be young again. Trent is Trace's brother and a big old goofball. However in Tempting Rowan we get to see a different side of Trent. I love him. Heck I love all these characters. If there is anyone who knows what they want it is Trent. He has really grown up and he wants Rowan. Rowan with the mother who quiet frankly never should have been a mother in the first place. She is horrible and my heart broke for Rowan. She actually could run for worst character ever and probably win she is so horrible. UGH how I couldn't stand her. Poor Rowan. However I am a firm believer in fate and true love and your about to see weather or not true love wins in the end. The end result is so worth the ride. You don't want to miss this book.

As much as I loved and adored Trace and Olivia's stories, Trenton and Rowan may have very well stolen my heart from these two. I didn't think it was possible, but it happened and I couldn't be more proud of Micalea Smeltzer because that just shows how much she has truly grown as a writer.
Once again (as I have mentioned in my other reviews for the series) this is only the second time that I have read Tempting Rowan and I feel as though I have gained a new understanding of this story. I really shouldn't have started this book today because that meant that I neglected my adult responsibilities (homework, cooking dinner - who said Cheetos and orange juice aren't a well balanced diet 😉). Let me just say that it was well WORTH it! This story has not only the romance factor but throws in that heart-wrenching feeling.
Although this story can technically be read as a standalone I strongly suggest reading them in order because the Trace + Olivia series would be nothing without Finding Olivia and Chasing Olivia!
Tempting Rowan is the third book in the Trace + Olivia Series by Micaela Smeltzer. Whil book one and two were not standalones, this book can easily br read as a standalone, there are only a few cross-over. I recommend to read the books in order. Rowan Sinclair, a 21 year old woman has had a hard life. She raises her siblings and cares for her abusive and alcoholic mother. Things go from bad to worse and she has to leave. Trenton Wentworth wants her for a long time. He wants to love her, hold her and help her. But Rowan keeps everyone at a distance and most of all she keeps her major secret.
Tempting Rowan is a emotional read and deals with sensitive subjects. I recommend this book and give 5 stars. Thank you, Micaela Smeltzer.

I am so in love with this story. I am so in love with Rowan & Trent. This book literally lad me laughing one minute. Then, I'm crying or I have my hand over my mouth in shock. This book had 1st love & then 1st heartbreak. It had a little bit of everything in it. And, I for one. Loved every single thing about 'Tempting Rowan' .
Rowan is completely closed off. She has a mother who hates her. Is always so drunk she's never awake. And, when she is awake she's very unpleasant. Her step-dad has a very serious hand problem. Every time he was around I cringed. Rowan feels broken & empty inside. Unable to be loved. She feels unworthy. Then why stay around? Rowan stays around to take care of her little brother & sister. Who every time they were around you'll have a smile on your face. Rowan vows to graduate college, get a good job, make enough money and take them and run. So, until that happens she keeps everyone at arms length. Including her 2 best friends Tatum & Jude.
Then, Trent comes home from school & throws a wrench in her plans! If you read 'Finding Olivia & Chasing Olivia' then you know how perfect Trace is. Well, Trenton Wentworth is just as perfect as his older brother! He has been in love with Rowan since they were 16. The night they lost their virginity to each other he let her know how he felt. Rowan on the other hand ran & never looked back. Now, Trenton is back and is going to do anything & everything to get her back!!
Every time Rowan turns around there is Trent. He follows her to the food stores, the library where she works. It's driving her insane. Because, when she goes home he invades her mind, her dreams. It's killing her because he is the only person who has ever had her heart. The only person she'd give it too. But, deep down Rowan knows he'll never except everything she has to offer.
Over time Trent finally gets Rowan to agree to go on a date with him. Trent breaks her down and gets Rowan to see that it's OK for her to live. For her to do stuff for herself. Rowan is definitely enjoying her time with Trent. He's there for her when she needs it. I was stoked to see Trace & Olivia there as well.
Then, Rowan's secret comes out. I literally dropped my kindle. It's a big wow moment!! She has some explaining to do. Trent & Rowan must figure out whats next. Even if there is a next.
There's so much going on in this book!! I literally felt for Rowan. There hasn't been a character in awhile that has affected me the way she did. She's such a beautiful, strong woman. Yet, she can't seem to see that. Jude & Tatum (who you'll love) have known her for awhile and even they don't know all her deep dark secrets. I can't stand her mom & step-dad with a passion!!!! Trenton is just as sexy and perfect as his brother.
When I tell you to get a comfy place to sit and read. Get your tissues too because you'll totally going to need it. I can not wait to see what Micalea is writing next!!!
I was so freaking lucky that I got to beta read this book! I had been desperate to read it since the author told me about it, and it definitely did not disappoint! It was packed full of secrets, emotion and romance! I loved everything about the plot of this book! It developed brilliantly and there was a huge secret that the main character keeps, that once revealed, changes the plot so much! My heart was in my mouth when it was revealed because I didn't know where the plot was going to go! The plot was just amazing though! It was easy to follow, you could relate to the characters, it had some pretty hot scenes in it! All things I love in the plot of a book! The characters were amazing! Rowan was the main character and she had the weight of the world on her shoulders! My heart couldn't help but feel sorry for her! I wanted her to have a great, fulfilling life, but she was left raising her younger siblings! Rowan stood up for herself though, which I loved! I also loved that she didn't jump straight back into a relationship with her love interest! She stood her ground and thought of her other responsibilities! Rowan was an amazingly strong character and she showed this time and time again in this book too! Trent was the love interest of Rowan and he was introduced in this series before! The first two books in this series are about his brother, Trace, but this book was Trent's! I was so excited when I found out Trent was getting a book! He really intrigued me in the other books in this series! Trent was so freaking hot in this book! I think I might love him more than Trace, which I never thought would happen! Trent was so understanding in this book! I could see how far he would go to protect Rowan and show her how much she meant to him too! I adored him! I also loved that Trace and Olivia from the first two books made appearances in this book! My heart was in my mouth at the end of this book! I actually burst out crying lol! And then my tears of sadness turned into tears of joy lol! I probably ruined the ending for you from that line, but hopefully you read the book before my review lol! I'm so excited to read the next book in this series! I know that it's not going to be about Trent and Rowan, but I'm sure they'll be in it! The cover for this book is so hot! I almost melted when I saw it for the first time! I love how well it suits the other covers in the series too! Big thank you to Micalea for letting me beta read Tempting Rowan and to Stephanie's Book Reports for having me on the Blog Tour!
Once I started this book, I had a really hard time putting it down. There were so many things I loved about this book, the most important being the two main characters. Trent is book boyfriend perfection. He stole my heart and effortlessly maneuvered his way into my top 5 favorite book boyfriends of all time. Rowan is my favorite kind of heroine. She is a force to be reckoned with. She is smart, hardworking and completely committed to building a better life. She takes care of everyone else and never stops to worry about herself. She is quick witted, sensitive and strong. Sure, she is a little broken, imperfect, and reeling from a lifetime of emotional injury, but she is fierce and refuses to be defeated.
The relationships portrayed throughout this book were a huge part of why I connected with it instantly. The relationships between each of the characters have been carefully crafted to be important to the storyline and unique to the characters involved. I loved seeing the contrast between the sibling bond between Trace (and Olivia) with Trent and that between Rowan and her siblings. Trent’s relationship with his family in general was the polar opposite of Rowan’s and the juxtaposition of these two realities really built the emotion of the story. I loved Rowan’s relationship with Jude. It was hysterical and had me laughing out loud a couple of times. She was herself with Jude, snarky; unapologetic and comfortable in her own skin. Jude and Tatum’s relationship was a whole different animal and let’s just say, I am counting the days until I get to read their story!
As a reader, I look for those moments of connection with a character/story. If you can make me feel for them, make me care about them and get me to invest in their happiness; you’ve done your job as an author. Micalea flat out blew me away with the emotional storm that raged through this book. I grinned, laughed, shook my head in exasperation, got mad, clenched my fists, and yes, cried. In all honesty, I sobbed. Micalea managed to make me a part of this story. Trent and Rowan felt like old friends and their story took hold of my heart and never let it go.
"I knew my mom wouldn't have done anything for my siblings. Everything always fell on me. I was like Cinderella, only Prince Charming was never going to put a glass slipper on my foot and take me away to his castle." ~Rowan
Rowan Sinclair lives in a broken home, an alcoholic mother and a stepdad that doesn't seem to want to keep his hands off of her. She is raising two kids Tristan, who was 5, and Ivy who was 8. She thinks she was too messed up for love, broken, splintered and fractured beyond repair.
"I knew it was wrong to blame him. He didn't understand that those words didn't mean the same thing to me as they did to everyone else. Anyone that had ever loved me they loved me was being deceitful. My mom. My grandparents. Everyone. It was a lie. No one loved me. I was nothing but a burden." ~Rowan
Trent tries to win Rowan over and finally she gives in for a date. She decides maybe she can have a little fun but cannot get too close because if he ever knew the truth of her past, he would never forgive her.
"I don't care what you say, I know you feel whatever this is that we have. Don't think for a minute that I haven't noticed the way your breath falters when I get too close or how your eyes flash with desire. I definitely can't forget the way you responded to me last night," his voice lowered to a husky whisper that had desire filling my belly. "You can't deny that you liked it when I kissed you." He was right. I couldn't refute it. I had liked kissing him.
The author had me giggling over the kids to leaving me in an emotional mess. I couldn't tell you how many times I cried throughout this book. I loved Trace and Olivia but I knew there was something special about Trenton. I loved this story and cannot wait to share with others. Thank you Micalea for letting me read this early before release and letting me be a part of the Blog Tour! This book is a must read!
This is one of my favorite series and I was very excited to read about Trent and Rowan. Trent and Rowan have known each other since they were 16 but after one night together, Rowan ran away from the guy that she truly loved. Five years later, Trent wants her back (technically he never stopped wanting her) and he will stop at nothing to get her back. But Rowan feels that if Trent finds out about a secret that she has been holding then he will disappear from her life forever. But she gives in to him because how could she not? It's Trent the only guy she will forever want. Rowan still has her doubts but with Trent she has come out of her shell and can be free. But their relationship is not without some bumps and when Trent finds out the secret, it seems that everything will change. I was so enamored with this book from the first page. I felt for Rowan with all that she had to go through especially at her age. She was a strong woman and I admired her for that. Trent was amazing-I loved him. He had the bad-boy look but he was a total sweetheart. Their chemistry was off the charts and you could tell that they had strong love for each other. They were incredible together and it hurt me when their relationship hit a rough patch. My heart almost stopped at a certain part near the end and I was almost in tears but I'm happy to report that it all ends well. Trace and Olivia are in the book and I was so happy to see how everything turned out for them. I loved everything about this book-the writing, the characters, the storyline. It was all wonderful. This is a spectacular book that you will enjoy! Amazing read!
I was gifted a copy of this book by the author for an honest review.
In the first two books of this series Trent wasn't a character to be taken seriously. He was always goofing off and getting on his brothers nerves. In this story we see a totally different side to Trenton Wentworth. He seems to be much more mature and knows what he wants to do with his future. The one woman who can bring him to his knees, Rowan Sinclair, doesn't seem to want him. He's done waiting. He's going after what he wants....and that's Rowan!
Rowan has a secret. One she won't ever tell. She can't. She runs into her one and only love on her college campus and vows to stay away from him. Trenton makes that virtually impossible. He's there at her every turn. Asking for another chance. She can't afford to allow him to know she loves him, deeply.
The love story between these two is so sweet. Rowan's mother is a completely and utter disappointment. She won't be winning any awards ever for her parenting skills. She's virtually demanded Rowan raise her brother and sister. I wanted to reach through the book and smack Rowans mother many times during the book. There just aren't enough words to describe how I despised her character. Rowan has a lot of hang ups, because of her mother, that she needs to get over. It's not an easy road. These two are destined to be together. I think the author did a great job with putting their stories together and building their relationship from early days to their present day.
However, secrets can tear these two apart...and Rowan has a BIG one! Great story ....one you might find has more truths than not.
4.5 Stars Lately Rowan as been seeing Trenton everywhere. He won’t give up. No one understands her like he does. No one has ever been as close.
Trent- I love him. He fell for Rowan at sixteen- knew she was the one. So why six years later are they not together?
Because a terribly painful choice she made as a scared sixteen year old continues to haunt her, and will likely tear what she and Trent are building apart. The hand she’s been dealt is suffocating her. She finally lets Trent in, all the while believing she will lose him again–for good.
Rowan- oh she is amazing. The more we learn about her, her family and how hard she works to keep them together, build a future for them-incredible. Her focus leaves her lonely, but she has a plan. One to get her brother and sister out safe, give them a chance at a future. Her life and happiness can wait, right? Trent has to convince her it doesn’t have to be either/or. Did I mention that I love Trent??
The family Rowan creates- her friends, Trace and Olivia and all of Trent’s family is beautiful. the love and support from Trent’s family is magical.
After so many secrets, distance (TEARS) and loss Trenton tempting Rowan proves to be exactly what is needed to get their well-deserved HEA.
I absolutely loved Olivia & Trace's story but I wasn't sure if Rowan and Trent would be able to compare...boy was I wrong! After finishing this book in one sitting (I just could not put it down) I think Rowan and Trent's story was amazing. Rowan had such a hard childhood and all she did was strive to make a better life for herself and for Tristan and Ivy which made me admire her extensive strength of character, even when she thought she wasn't enough. Trent was so loving, understanding and giving, I really loved his character and how he never pushed too much but just enough to get Rowan to let him in. I am so glad that they were able to finally have their HEA in the end because Rowan deserved it and so much more! This series is a must read!!!!!
I don't have enough words to describe how amazing this book is! I could not put it down once I started! I loved Trent in Finding and Chasing Olivia. He is sweet, kind, and fiercely loyal to his family and to Rowan. He has loved Rowan most of his life but she fights him every step of the way. Rowan is broken and some would say beyond repair. She feels unworthy of love and affection. She is sweet and caring but has a huge secret that destroys her every day! I loved Rowan and Trent's chemistry! You can feel their love and how strong and deep it is! There are some very difficult scenes in this book and I ugly cried but it was so worth it! This was one of the best books I've ever read!!!
Tempting Rowan is an emotional story with a beautiful happy ending.
Rowan Sinclair and Trenton Wentworth journey is such wonderfully flawed and gripping with a beautiful tenderness.
I absolutely loved their journey. Micalea has for sure a way with words that bring so many different emotions. The characters are well developed with compelling depth.
Beautiful, poignant and bittersweet story that does not leave you disappointed.

Get ready for a roller coaster ride of emotions def some tissue worthy moments. Rowan is an amazing heroine. She has not had a good life. I feel so bad for her opinion of herself. I think Trent is her perfect match. He is such an amazing guy. I loved their story. Micalea again writes a story you can't put down. You almost broke my heart at the end but luckily the epilogue made it all better :). I kept telling myself one more chapter but that didn't work. I stayed up super late finishing this book and am so glad I did.
After reading Finding Olivia and Chasing Olivia, I didn't thin Micalea Smeltzer could make me love any of her characters more than I loved Trace and Olivia. But then I read this book. Trent and Rowan are remarkable characters. This book was so real and heartbreaking, but also beautiful and unexpected. It's different from any other book out there. Nothing was predictable at all. It was definitely a tear-jerker, but it was perfect. I'm so excited for Saving Tatum to complete this series! It's been truly amazing so far.
First off I love that this could be read as book 3 or could technically be read as a stand alone. I fell in love with Trace and couldn't wait to hear about Trenton. Ohhh boy those Wentworth boys are adorable when it comes to love! I could sort of relate to Rowans home situation so of course I liked her character. Usually some books have some secret that's pretty predicable, but I was NOT expecting Rowans. It for sure put a twist on the book. But it was well written and well played out toward the end ;)
This book was Ah-mazing! Really loved it. Beautifully written story that I totally didn't guess the twist to. Love that!! Rowan and Trent are just beautiful together. Lots of angst, heartache, tears, love and happiness - a little of everything! All around an amazing story that kept me hooked the whole way through. I have never gone wrong with a Micalea Smeltzer book, she is a truly gifted author!
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review and I can honestly say I loved Tempting Rowan. I most definitely loved Trent, brother of Trace from the Finding Olivia books. Micalea Smeltzer's characters are so easy to fall in love with. And she tells their stories in a way that wraps around your heart and makes them become part of your life. You can't help but love them.
Once I started this book, I had a really hard time putting it down. There were so many things I loved about this book, the most important being the two main characters. Trent is book boyfriend perfection. He stole my heart and effortlessly maneuvered his way into my top 5 favorite book boyfriends of all time.
