His Mate by Allegiance

Rate this book
“The wild in you calls to the wild in me, and if you let me, I will answer. I will always answer.”

Rocco is being punished and he doesn't like it. He probably shouldn't have stalked the police chief's son, but he'd been bored and no one ever should've noticed. His powers as an air witch skilled in illusion are too valuable for the Elemental Mayhem MC to let him go, so they've forced him into this sham of a wedding. They're lucky the wolf shifter is so hot or he'd never go along with it. All bets are off once he can prove he was betrayed.

Emilio spent the last fifteen years away from New Trinity City refining his crafts—street art and assassination—but he's still loyal to the Lunetti Pack. Unlike his traitor father. He'd do anything for his Alpha. Even marry a witch he’s never met. Coming home for his arranged marriage is the perfect excuse to hunt the source of the dangerous weapons entering the city. He has every intention of being a widower within a year, until he realises his fiancé is his fated mate. How is he supposed to arrange an unfortunate accident for his husband with his wolf whining about forever in his ear?

His Mate By Allegiance is a steamy enemies to lovers MM mafia shifter paranormal romance. It features arranged marriage, fated mates, shadow hands and other paranormal play, including knotting. There is no mpreg in this world.

How had fate paired him up with a guy who was just as unhinged as he was?

TROPES:
🐺 Wolf shifter vs air witch
🌀 Arranged marriage
🐺 Fated mates

Emilio and Rocco’s story was sexyyyyy. Sure, they’re fated mates, there’s some mafia family rivalry sort of thing, there’s some bad guys somewhere doing something, but I didn’t really pay attention to any of that….my bad.

A wicked smirk crept over Emilio’s face as he remembered just how Rocco’s toy functioned to let the witch feel the sensations from the plug like it was his own skin.

How do you expect me to follow along to any sort of plot when we’ve got magical plugs going on?? I need more air witch romances in my life apparently, ‘cause they’re so much fun.
The public teasing, magical touches, the possessiveness, puppy.

“Fuck, you’re trouble, puppy.” “You love it.”

Apart from the smutty love story, the rest was just okay. I didn’t really care about the drama between the vamps and the wolves. I didn’t feel the mate bond between Rocco and Emilio.

Still, this was fun, just a low-angst shifter romance with typical shifter tropes and fun spice.

The wild in you calls to the wild in me, and if you let me, I will answer. I will always answer.

ARC review

I really loved this book. Arranged marriage trope is always the best.
Rocco was all in from the start and convincing Emilio was not an easy task.
Emilio was very hesitant to claim his mate because of his father. Coming home was hard too but it was exactly what he needes in his life.
They were just perfect together with their obsession with each other and their strength when near each other

Book 3

Mafia shifter ✅
Insane chemistry ✅
Paranormal ✅
Fated mates ✅
Family and found family ✅

Emilio is a wolf shifter. He has agreed to an arranged marriage for a truce with Elemental Mayhem MC.

His fiancée happens to be an air witch … and his fated mate. Rocco is human and clueless to this fact.

Emilio’s dad had betrayed his pack for his fated mate , who had then killed him. So Emilio is not on board with the whole fated mates concept.

Rocco and Emilio meet, alongside Emilio’s alpha and the MC president.

“Look at you all hard and needy,” Rocco said.

“Shhh… Don’t worry, gorgeous. They can’t hear me, and all they’ll see if they look at us are two men in conversation. I could fuck you over that desk right now and they wouldn’t know. Well, not until I released the spell, and they smelled your cum all over you.”

Wow that was hot 🥵 and it was just verbally sparring. First meeting , negotiations and contract signed. Rocco has many talents.

Rocco wants Emilio to break the contract.

Alpha Marco has figured out Emilio and Rocco are mates. Emilio says he has no intention of completing the bond.

Rocco stalks Emilio . There’s a motorbike race, a picnic date where Rocco tries to seduce him and scent mark him.

They exchange numbers and texts.

‘Between the constant pressure from his wolf to bond and fuck, and the whiplash of alternating sexually explicit and irritatingly caring texts, he was about ready to scream.’

These two are so possessive and protective of each other. Supernaturally kinky too .

Off to a Winter ball and to announce their engagement, Rocco has gotten them matching engagement rings.

Rocco’s ex cracks onto him and Emilio loses it. Rocco is curious.

‘Mating bonds didn’t bring happiness; they brought weakness. Weakness Emilio couldn’t afford.’

Some kinky sexy times. Their chemistry is 🔥

Rocco finds out about the bond and is determined to make Emilio his.

Rocco saves Emilio’s pack from a police raid. Very suspicious timing.

‘Emmy sighed. “Fuck. What am I going to do with you?” “Marry me,” Rocco said, before slipping back into a deep sleep.’

Emilio finds out the biker, Brand, that framed Rocco for stalking, is dating Rocco’s ex. The police chief’s son who everyone was so upset about Rocco getting involved with that they forced him to marry Emilio.

It’s their wedding day!

‘He couldn’t help but laugh as he realised he’d be walking down the aisle to an instrumental version of ‘Every Breath You Take.’ Trust Rocco to find the most stalker song possible with the added bonus of a nod to their recent near run-in with the police.’

They enjoy their wedding night. 🔥

Rocco is once again framed. Emilio and Rocco run to the wolf pack.

Rocco and Emilio exchanged love yous.

“I love you,” Emmy said, throwing himself into his arms. Wrapping his arms around his husband, his mate, he held him close. “I love you, too, Emmy.”

They mate .

It all works out in the end , the bikers do have Rocco’s back.

There will be a book 4

Emilio and Rocco have to marry each other. The Pack and MC leaders decided to do this.
Emilio is a wolf shifter and part of the Lunetti Pack and will do whatever his pack leader orders. Rocco is a powerful air witch and part of the Elemental Mayhem MC.

They both don’t want to marry but they will have to. Emilio, who’s also an artist and assassin, is shocked to discover Rocco is his fated mate. Rocco can never know! A bad family experience learned him to never bond with a mate.

Rocco didn’t plan to fall for the shifter, but he did. Emilio keeps him at arm’s length, no fun, and even a bit hurtful.
Rocco has powerful skills, he’ll protect Emilio whenever he can.
There’s so much attraction between these two men, Emilio is the stubborn one here.

Besides their relationship, there are a lot of other side stories to enjoy, and not alone about the members of the pack and the MC.
There’s somewhere a traitor who wants to wrong them. Read all the events yourself!

Both main characters are well developed, and there’s a lot to discover about them!
The dynamic between them is fantastic and quite scorching.
Rocco’s skills are so impressive, I was a bit speechless watching him.

An amazingly, widely written shifter pnr story! Full of protectiveness, sexiness, and magic.
It was all quite intriguing, while the relationship was at the center, there was enough other stuff to enjoy!

PNR Shifters + Mafia!?!?! Sign me up! This is the third book in the Lunetti Pack series by author Mel Aitchess. I really liked the dynamics between the main characters and the marriage of convenience angle was so fun. I loved how patient they were with each other. Will be continuing the series.

My brain is soup so I might update this review to be more thorough later, but I absolutely love this series and this was a perfect addition! The chemistry between Emmy and Rocco was off the charts and I thoroughly enjoyed every second of it! Can’t wait to see what comes next in the series. Hopefully a certain baby vampire gets his own book…

Also, I was so happy to see that Mel included a Marilyn Monroe moment!!

What a fantastic book! While I thoroughly enjoyed the first two books of the series, this one felt a bit different. I felt like we got more from each character instead of one being a bit more angst ridden than the other. Emilio is dealing with an enormous amount and is only weighed down further when he is offered into an alliance marriage. His character is so complex in that he is not only cousin to the alpha and working to help uncover the mystery of the D-2S dealings, a secret assassin, art teacher, secret street artist but he is also dealing with all the betrayal from his parents. Rocco is not as complex but also deals with his own predilection to stalk his partners (all consensual) among other kinks. They both push away others to protect themselves but they are unable to truly push each other away. To say fighting and arguments are foreplay for them is a mild assumption. While I loved reading how Cal could get Luca going with his water witch abilities, it is nothing in comparison to how Rocco torments Emmy with his air control! Let's just say I was up way too late because I had to keep reading to find out if they got together because they want to. I also had to see how the mystery of D-2S keeps unfolding. I am so invested in what is going on and who all is involved with the secret society that makes up the real plot of these books. I want to find whom is leading that operation but then I don't because that would end the books. I will just enjoy each new story as it comes LOL

First off, I wanna say, I'm so SAT for Marco’s book
But for now, this book:
I wanna preface this by saying that I'm not typically a fan of mafia, but this series was recommended to me by a friend and I've been enthralled ever since.
It was fun having Emillio know that Rocco was his Mate from the start, and his fears regarding their relationship following the same direction as his father's felt very fair and not unfounded. Big fan of the ‘I want you but I can’t have you’ dynamic they’ve got going on.
The pressure he felt to redeem his name was enjoyable to read about; strife in all its forms can be beautiful, and reputations outlast even us! Having Emmy finally give in to his true desires was incredibly satisfying and thrilling.
I was speechless at Rocccos initial behaviour, but once we got into his head, everything clicked into place and his motivations were made clear. Loved watching him go from wanting to overwhelm Emmy into calling the engagement off to realising that he's falling for the wolf.
Overall, this was disarmingly sweet and fun with a good sprinkling of action at just the right moments, a as a Christmas gift would very much send me for the hills, however. Other than that, these are the greenest red-flag men I've ever seen.

Oh this was fun. a stalking MC and a slightly unhinged Wolf-shifter meet and .... try to not want each other.
these two are so special in their ways, no matter if it is art, love language and taking care of each other - they just fit

I really loved that the fate mates part was well woven into the story without giving them a chance to really develop their relationship.
I loved how Rocco woed Emilio - it was so much fun (even if slightly crazy ... but sanity is one thing you don't need or should consider while reading this one ;-) )

the HEA for the couple was perfect. The story arc contains all books, so this book leaves us with a lot of open questions. but that is ok - and it can be read as a stand-alone without trouble

I am really looking forward to Blaze and Marcos books.

Loved it! The push and pull between the characters was fun to read and their chemistry was off the charts!

Rocco was so entertaining to read! And Emilio was a total grump yet protective as well. I enjoyed the inner and outer struggle with themselves and this new unwanted relationship. It was so good!

If you love shifter romances, enemies to lovers, fated mates, arranged marriage, magic, witch/shifter, bdsm, steamy, a hunt of danger, dominate possessive MMCs and more then check this one out!

Whew, this book is hot.

Rocco and Emilio were made for each other; their chemistry is absolutely explosive. The push and pull between them? Pure perfection. But what really elevates the story is the tender, caring moments woven in.

And that sneak peek at the next book? After that prequel, I’ve been dying for more, and now I seriously can’t wait!

And yes, that’s a 5-star read. It gave me exactly what I was looking for, and then some.

This was so wholesome!

Emilio is an assassin he’s been travelling from a lot of years but after the ultimate betrayal from his father, his alpha called him home to be involved in an arranged marriage but after the first meeting and realising this new stranger he’s supposed to marry is actually his faded mate it all becomes so much harder Emilio doesn’t want a fated mate but can he resist the pull????

Rocco its air witch and part of the MC’s all his life he’s never felt like he belonged and after a stalking episode with his ex his fast into a arrange marriage
Rocco has plans to act as overprotective and as loving as possible to scare away his new husband, but the pull between them it’s so strong that from the star that wasn’t really a chance
Rocco knows that Emilio is going to be his forever

My God guys, I have been waiting for this book for so long and the minute it hit my Kindle I simply couldn’t resist. I just had to dive in immediately. His mate by alliance. Is book number 3/4 in the lunetti pack series which follows the members of the pack as they find their way to love and acceptance a lot of the books is heavily focused on enemies to lovers which is understandable. Most of the love interest is in enemy territory.

Rocco thinking he could scare Emilio away by being extremely possessive and fourth coming is so funny to me like who wouldn’t want a man like that come on it’s hot as hell and I understand why Emilio couldn’t resist him for long

Yo there was so much spice in this and I am so here for it. Imagine being able to use air as a sex toy come on that’s hot as shit pardon my language but I’m really here for it. The scene with the dagger God that was out of my mind. As well as the magic plug wow just wow there is something for you to be excited about

The fight against D..2s (I think that’s what they are called) it still underway and new attacks will be shown in this book. but fear not the pack and everyone around them is getting closer to figuring out how to stop them

Anyway I read this book a 4.5 out of 5 it is by four my favourite book in the series and I’m so excited to see where the rest will be headed if faded mates and enemies to lovers with a twist of arranged marriage is something for you and if just something in this you spoke to you then I really recommend this book for you and I hope you will like it.
but remember to form your own opinions and not just listen to me
Until next time, my loves…

Rating: 4,5/5
Spice: 3/5
Angst: 2.5/5
Would I read again: yes

Ima say it. DO 👏 NOT 👏 USE 👏 THE 👏 SAME 👏 ENDEARMENT 👏IN AN👏 INTERCONNECTED SERIES👏 THAT👏 ISNT 👏STANDARD. Why is Rocco calling Emilio "puppy" as an endearment when we just had Vin from book 1 calling his wolf shifter mate Angelo "puppy" as an endearment as well?? ok it was only for a brief period (like 8ish times) in Vin/Angelo's book now that I did a search but idk i couldn't get behind it and it didn't feel special. it fit better in Vins book and made more sense since Angelo's wolf did act a little puppy-like before his human self was willing to fully acknowledge the mate bond so it still felt custom to them. Idk if "puppy" is a standard endearment for shifters in this world like baby is for humans bc we dont have that context. but Emilio doesn't ever really act like a "puppy" with Rocco. i feel like it didn't really encompass their dynamic which was a fun dynamic with the stalking and banter! if anything Emilio was more like Rocco's brat (in a sweet way).

I'm definitely nit picking here but the "puppy" endearment just bugged me for this overlap and the lack of personalization for the couple. it just had me rolling my eyes after a while since Rocco uses it so often too. Even Vin stops using it and customizes more.

also there were times when the dialogue just went back and forth for a while without any additional writing as if they were just NPCs just standing still without other body language cues that each person was observing which just felt odd.

also it feels like there wasn't enough time spent on potentially emotionally scenes like when Rocco says that "wild in you" line from the summary - which comes up in a great emotional speech but then Emilio basically says something sacastically/quickly in return and the chapter ends and we dont get to marinate in that moment at all and feel/see the impact of it between the characters. I think that's why the MCs seemed to lacked an emotional connection between them. it's like they tried to do so many things for the overarching plot like sneaking out and meet ups w other packs and action-y things and didn't REALLY spend time with each other and those moments felt rushed.

Anyway now that I've gotten my petty rant out of the way, it was an pretty good addition to the series and I did like it! I do wish the chapter of their first meeting wasn't only in the previous book bc it is a great intro and kind of impt for context. p.s. my favorite of the series is still Luca and Cal 💜

HIS MATE BY ALLEGIANCE is the third book in the Lunetti Pack series. I haven't read them all as I missed book one, but fell in love with book two, and jumped at the chance of reading book three. What can I say? I'm hooked! I love this world that the author has given us.

To show the Council that they're all playing nicely together, Marco and Blaze have arranged a wedding between the MC and the Pack. Emilio is the one taking the fall for the Pack, and Rocco for the MC. Emilio was quite happily planning his future husband's demise when the worst thing (for him) happens. He realises Rocco is his fated mate, and he really, REALLY, doesn't want one of those! As for Rocco, well, he's planning on being as in-your-face as he can be to push Emilio away. So you get that neither of them is on board with this, right? Yeah, well, that all changes once they meet. Trust me, they burn up the pages!

The story is more than just their relationship, and I loved how the story progressed. For me, though, it was all about Rocco and Emmy. I loved these two so much. One of the best parts was the slow and gentle realisation from Emmy that it would be okay to bond with Rocco. They really were a perfect fit! I loved how it wasn't some big bang realisation, but rather one that crept up on him, no matter how hard he fought it.

If there was one thing I wanted more of, it would be Emilio topping Rocco! It only happened once, and although it was off-the-charts hot, I would have liked it at least once more. But then, that's me being greedy and wanting more than I was given, which was absolutely good enough! And that is why I've rated this as 5/5. I'm certainly not going to knock a star, or half-star, off for something that would have been a bonus!

I can't wait for the next book and hope that Marco gets his HEA too at some point. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED by me.

4.75 stars!!

This is book three in the author’s Lunetti Pack series and features wolf shifter Emilio, and air witch, Rocco. This was an awesome read though a little unexpected in places. I was definitely surprised that Emilio, as an alpha wolf shifter ASSASSIN(!!), wasn’t raising seven kinds of hail at having a human water witch call him puppy. Granted, later in the book it was said tenderly and with fondness but in the beginning, it was done condescendingly. I mean, it was WELL established that he’d have no problem ‘taking care’ of the human, in fact, he absolutely DELIGHTED in ‘taking care’ of others ;). Maaayybee it could have something to do with the fact that Rocco was his mate? A bond Emilio had no intention of completing due to what happened with his father but fate, and a forced marriage to the air witch to form an alliance between the Lunetti Pack and the Elemental Mayhem MC, had other plans.

This was an amazing read and should not be missed!!! I admit, I wasn’t Rocco’s biggest fan in the beginning, he was a bit of jerk (and that’s me being nice!) but he slowly revealed parts of himself that had me convinced he had a soft and tender heart hidden down in there SOMEwhere. As for characters, the author couldn’t have written two more well matched MCs if they TRIED!! The stalking, the violence appreciation, the downright OBSESSION… they were absolutely perfect for each other!

For readers who can read a book and accept it at face value, you can read this as a standalone, it has everything needed to make it complete for our two MCs but, for those who need to understand the background and backstories, you’ll probably want to go back and start from book one (there’s actually a free prequel available by newsletter sign up that tells how the two met for the very first time) but it’s definitely worth your time to read it! 4.75 stars!!

Independent reviewer for GRR, I was gifted my copy of this book.

This is book 3 in the Lunetti Pack series, and I would recommend that you books one, His Mate by Venegeance and book two, His Mate by Resistance before this one. A personal rec, is all.

I enjoyed book one, I loved book 2, but I LOVED this one!

Emilio knew that Rocco was his mate the minute they met. That kinda put his plans out, since his new husband was going to meet an unfortunate end and now his wolf would not let that happen. Rocca creeps under Emmy skin and fur and while they down and dirty quite quickly, I loved that Emmy was NOT going to bite Rocco and Rocco used his magic to bind his puppy. I loved that Rocco called Emmy puppy from the very beginning and not once did Emmy tell him to stop it!

I loved that Rocco really SAW Emmy, you know? As a witch, he didn't get the mating urge quite as bad as the shifters did, but he knew that Emmy was special, and his feelings developing super speedy was another reason that he knew.

Super smexy, and steamy! Loved that they went all in, but no biting! Rcco's power was amazing, with the wind and things and I loved that Emmy's wolf responded to that power.

Violent, too. Emilio is, after all, an assassin. But given what happens here, I think it's needed on page. Loved how Rocco responded to Emilio's trade.

Emotional, as well. Emmy is dealing with some deep emotions, after his father did what he did. And he fights Rocco all the way because of that. But once Rocco knows WHY Emmy is fighting, he understands and goes all out to make sure his puppy knows Rocco will always stand by him, and never against him.

Epilogue gives us who is next and I look forward to that one, given as Rafe and Adri have a long history!

5 full and shiny stars

Just to confirm you cannot read this as a standalone. You’ll miss out on too much background plot that is necessary to the characters, current and overarching plot.

I really enjoyed this. I found book 1 to be a bit rough around the edges, it needed to be longer for a start, and have more worldbuilding. Book 2 was great and dealt with hard topics - sexual assault/mental health, so I was really looking forward to if this book could improve or get better. And yes, it did!

Now I love an arranged marriage plot, also throw in fated mates then I know I’m onto a winner. What I thought was great that despite Emilio knowing Rocco was his mate, he was determined to stick to his own wants and not just cave to the bond. He was rightly traumatised after what happened with his father and I would have been disappointed if the mate bond just caused those worries to disappear.

Now, there’s a stalking kink?! Not too sure how else to describe it, and that was new to me. Not in a bad way but I read a lot so it was great to come across something new.

Rocco was a tad arrogant for me from the get go, but he is insanely powerful and basically was being pimped out by his coven, so I could get the snark. Also, due to stuff that was happening in book 2 I still can’t get behind the coven.

This book progressed the overarching plot, and that was good, I’m interested to see who is backing those terrorist group and why. They hate paranormals and whilst the vampires seem an obvious ‘backer’ to overthrow the others, I think that’s too obvious. I’m interested to see how this plays out.

We got a teaser for the next book and I’m looking forward to it.

I got this as an ARC from gayromancereviews.com but I was going to read this anyway as I’ve been enjoying this series from the start, so my review is truthfully my own.

Loved the banter, loved the chemistry, loved the cat, or more appropriately wolf, and mouse, or again appropriately witch, games. These two were spicy and snarky, and kept the wicked banter going from start to finish, which kept the pages turning late into the night. I loved it!!

Rocco is the best kind of snarky character I love to read on the page. He does what he wants, he's deliciously naughty, pushes boundaries, pushes rules, but he does set limits and has a safe word that when used he does follow. He's a bit of a wonderful conundrum that I loved from the moment Emilio met him. 😍

Emilio is also fantastic and the best kind of naughty with a stubborn steak a mile long. He refuses to mate with his mate, Rocco in this instance, but he is insanely pulled to him. He's jealous, territorial, can't stay away, so attracted to Rocco that he scent marks him whenever he can, you name it, he wants Rocco in every way...except he also doesn't, or tells himself he doesn't. Emilio admits to himself over and over that he can't mate Rocco...but he also can't stay away. I loved how he just couldn't stay away!!

These two are pure catnip to each other. It was glorious how addicted they were to one another and their banter about how addicted they were is 👨‍🍳 💋 perfect.

I was so excited to return to this world that I immediately jumped and shoved everything else out of the way to sit down and read this book!! Rocco's air witch magic is top notch 👌 I was living it, feeling it, and enjoying every moment of his use of his powers. I can’t get enough of how creative this world is and I basically I want to stay in her world forever.

Thank you to BookSirens for the advance review copy and all opinions are my own.

seriously combustible. And addictive

Rating: 4.75🌈

This series is seriously combustible. And addictive. My biggest regret is the long release lag time in waiting for the next book to arrive. Otherwise, mwah, hot, and *fans self* so in love with these mated couples.

This one takes it to the next level.

It’s a kinky air powerful witch and even kinkier arty werewolf assassin in mate love. In a forced marriage and suspense filled thriller of a story.

More of Rocco and Emmy! I honestly need them in more than this one book. They are fantastic!

Emilio’s brutal family history has been played out over the previous storylines but it’s damage to his character is front row here. Its meshes beautifully with the shaky history and past of Rocco, so when the magical power of the mate bond begins, it’s also powered by their shared trauma and kinks. It’s sexy, raw, hot and believable for them and the reader.

Both the Lunetti Pack as led by Alpha Marco and the Elemental Mayhem MC’s, who are led by Blaze, President of the MC (witches), are in well written and impactful roles. I can’t wait to see what the author has in store for them going forward. Silas too.

The vampires were curiously absent this time. I’m betting they will be a huge factor in the next book.

There’s so many great elements here. From the side families, to the ongoing mystery and drama to that artwork. I want more.

Highly recommended and fabulous.

in the beginning i was a little scared that this was actually not something id enjoy and sleep deprived eesha was CRAZY! for downloading this (post-sleep clarity ?) but it settled and the schmoopy lovey dovey fluff satisfied me enough. not enough for me to ignore my gripes but i had fun!

first off. i did get annoyed with the motorcycle club thing, (like i said in my update. you can shorten it all you want AFTER you mention the full name and its shorthand. like any regular piece of writing!!) and just how many times they SAY it like my god. also. is rocco a human or a fucking WITCH. bc they pingpong between calling him human and him BEING a witch so its so crazy like WHAT DOES ROCCO FILL ON HIS CENSUS. humans don't have magic, so while he's not a wolf shifter hes DEF not a human and after the millionth time i just kept stewing on this...hes NAWT a human hes a WITCH! i think the she/they, they/them pronouns for rocco's family were shoehorned in but honestly don't know HOW you could make it more of a natural introduction so...okay that's all.

also, i do want to say i feel like their transition from this is a sham marriage idgaf but im fighting feelings to fuckkkk i think i love him but im too guarded to i am ALL in this i love u sm let's mate was blurry, and would have benefited from a conversation (at least one) but i can follow the thread and justify that its the fated mate wolf shifter hormones that lead them down. and it gave me the best thing ever: established relationship fluff which i will never critique so <3

overall. can't blame the sleep-deprivation for anything my taste remains the same unfortunately.

OMG what a read couldnt put it down
First you let me say I got this book from gay romance reviews and this is me leaving my honest review.
What a read I could not put this down just the banter and the push and the pull just made it such enjoyable to read. This is the third book in the. Lunetti pack series. In this one Rocco the air witch is being punished because he was caught stalking the police chief son and his penance is to marry a wolf shifter called Emilio. He’s not happy about it but he knows to stay within the elemental mayhem MC and Help against the attacks by D-25 and to prove that he was set up is the way to go. And if honest as soon as he sees Emilio there is this instant attraction.
I think it’s fair to say Emilio was not happy about the arrange marriage to the air witch.. What also complicated matters was that Emilio knew that Rocco was his fated mate and he needed to hide this from his pack and mate because he was not going to complete the bond after his father‘s betrayal. But could he control his attraction to Rocco.
This book was so infectious I just couldn’t get enough. I was so gutted when I got to the end. These two OMG, The banter between them, the attraction and the chemistry was just magical. They were so perfect for one another they worked so well together and the passion is off the charts. I can guarantee you’re gonna really enjoy this book it had everything and every time that Rocco would call Emilio his puppy just made my heart be a little faster cause you know it was to get an effect, but it was also just so sweet.
Bliss just a fantastic read

An arranged marriage where one man planned to annoy the other until he called it off, and the other man was going to use his skills as an assassin to get rid of his spouse after a few months - but neither man expected what ended up happening.
I absolutely loved how fiercely possessive and dominant Emilio and Rocco were towards one another, and enjoyed the constant powerplay between them. Their interactions had a lot of intensity - even when they were playful. As they got to know one another better, the genuine connection they developed and the deep understanding of the other persons true self was phenomenal. Rocco discovering and accepting Emilio's secrets, and Emilio understanding Rocco's quirks truly cemented their relationship and led to such a genuine, yet healthily possessive love. Well, that and their steaming hot chemistry! These two men truly stole my heart!
While I loved seeing their relationship unfold, it was also engaging to follow the continuation of the overarching plot that has been running throughout this series. There was plenty of dangerous action and violence, and the mystery continues…
This book was well written and has amazing characters. Many characters flow from one book to another, but each book focuses on one couple.
I would absolutely recommend this book as a great addition to this series.

I received an ARC from BookSirens, this review is my honest opinion.

Emilio & Rocco
I believe it has been mentioned that this book is the hottest of the series so far. I think I have to agree. The amount of teasing and edging in this story is insane, but so entertaining!
Emilio is given such a rough lot in his life, and the little past we're given from the previous book's conflict was stressful enough, he definitely deserved to have something go right for him. Now, finding out that his arranged marriage for some peace within the city will be with his fated mate, he doesn't know what to do about it. He doesn't feel like he can give himself to his mate because of what happened with his father, but Rocco just has something that pulls him in more and more each time they interact.
Rocco...well he's just a quirky character all on his own. As a human witch, he can't really feel the mate calling the same way the pack can, but he knows something in him desperately calls to Emilio, even as he tries to push him away by coming on too strong. The more time they spend together, the more he craves Emilio and realizes that they won't be able to let each other go.

I loved the dynamic in this story; it was non-stop heat and humor. The action of the story was intense enough to be stressful, but also not on the same level as the previous two books. I can't imagine how the villain will be revealed (further) in the next book. I loved His Mate by Allegiance and the craziness that was Emilio and Rocco's relationship. In the end, you could feel the love they had for one another, but they were still all hilarious sass and attitude on top of their romance.

I received an authorized copy of this book and am volunteering my honest review.

Review for Lunetti Pack-3 His Mate by Allegiance

Rocco should have known that stalking and seeing the police chief's son wasn't a good idea. As a punishment, his MC has told him he will be marrying a wolf shifter. Good thing the wolf is easy on the eyes. Good thing his powers as an air witch allow him to make illusions that are very wanted by his MC. So he is told he will be marrying Emilio. Emilio can't believe where his life has gone. The shock of his father's betrayal of the pack has led him to where he is at the moment. His alpha has told him he will be marrying the witch from the Elemental Mayhem, where he and the MC president have decided that this will be a good thing for them to build more power if they team up against the fight that they know is coming from the D-2S. All Emilio knows is that he will not be mating with Rocco, who he has found out is his mate. He will not go through what his father did with his mate. Will the two men be able to get through all Emilio's demons to live the life they are meant to? Or will Emilio's demons be too much?

Oh my gosh, I loved this book. I had only read the first book in this series and didn't realize there were more. Now I need the others to read, lol. I love the way Mel Aitchess's world grows and grows in their books. I can't say enough about this book/series.

“New Trinity, commonly known City of Demons for its three crime families—the Lunetti mafia shifter pack, who controlled the illegal weapons trade; the Cruor Coven of vampires who trafficked humans; and the witch’s Elemental Mayhem Motorcycle Club that dealt in drugs and magical protection”.

Rocco is an extremely powerful Air Witch. Getting married to a wolf is his punishment for stalking the wrong person. The wolf will either call it off or he will kill him. Emilio is forced into mating with a powerful witch to strengthen his pack. He figures he’ll run the witch off or kill him, doesn’t matter which.

I enjoy clueless mates when they think they can ignore the chain of bonds between them. And in this case it was heavy chains. Rocco and Emilio were ensnared almost instantly. Making their mating a foregone conclusion. I loved the sexual ways they tormented each other thinking it would end the relationship. Among some of the most inventive I’ve read. Their snark was world class and entertaining.

I didn’t really understand Emilio’s art but it seemed like it would be beautifully macabre with the blood, death, and vividness. “Death was beautiful, and Emilio loved it in all its forms.”

The mystery wasn’t really compelling but it was the backbone of the story.

A+ for creative use of a knife! I enjoyed their antics.

I received an arc of this book.

I really wanted to rate this book 5/5 stars but I had to settle on a 4.5/5 star rating due to the fact that there was a bit of a repetitiveness to Emilio that sometimes got frustrating but I understand that due to his... circumstances why he was so adamant at dragging out his reluctance. I mean, it made Rocco work extra hard to show Emilio and us, the readers, how much of a sweet, spicy and loving person Rocco is despite his own grievances.

This is a book that will have you feeling all the hot and bothered feels throughout. The sexual tension between Emilio and Rocco were OFF. THE. CHARTS! And Rocco being all possessive, obsessive in all his human glory? You are definitely not ready for this. Heck, I was not prepared for how wolf-personified Rocco was in this book. It was definitely refreshing seeing it coming from a human.

And Emilio is no different. Emilio fights against all his instincts when in presence of his human. But when he finally succumbs to his wolfie urges, there is this satisfaction you feel wash over you especially when you see how far both have come.

I honestly am loving how unique these books are and am looking forward to what comes next.

Side note: This book cannot be read as a standalone. You need to read all previous books in the series in order to fully understand what goes on in this book.

This was just as spectacular as I expected and everything I wanted it to be. Look, I'm obsessed with this series, so don't expect anything except praise from me, alright?

Emilio was someone we only saw glimpses of, so meeting him up close and personal was a delight. I adore how complicated he is--loyal to a fault but also convinced he has no place. Seriously, if you want tortured feels and a legit bad boy artist vibe, look no further. Watching him struggle against the pull of the mating bond was delicious--especially after Rocco became aware of it happening.

Which brings us to Rocco. I wish we could have gotten a better look at him. His past is vaguely explained, but I could have read another book-length novel of these two. I'm a sucker for the over-the-top protective/obsessive love interest and that he wasn't even a wolf to excuse it only made it that much better. And the contrast between him and his family? Love it.

What surprised me was how little the overarching plot moved. I mean, it did, don't get me wrong. But this one was definitely focused more on the personal side of things. But even that small movement was fascinating. I'm so invested in these people and finding out who the d-2s are.

And the spoiler for the next book? I've been waiting for this for a long, long time.
