A few months back I was trolling Amazon looking for some books that would serve as a good gift to a friend. I came across this compilation and figured....hmm, thirteen books, it is statistically impossible that one or two of them will not be entertaining...right?
So I bought and gifted it to her. Then I looked at the price list, and hit that dreaded, one click button. So this compilation landed on my kindle. It took me a bit to clear enough space and time but once I started I did not stop before I finished. I was not totally in love with all the books but even the one I liked least was very enjoyable and simply was not AS good as the one before or after. I loved the first and last books the best. Loved the mafia angle, love dogs.
Trust me for this price this is one compilation you cannot pass by. It is a must read. It will make a brilliant gift.
Really good box-set of varied and well-paced novels, with lots of action and suspense, good characters and interesting stories. Particularly liked the R & R rescue story.
