Title: Undeniable
Series: Yes.
Author: Ashley Simone
Release Date: April 17th , 2014
Rating: 2 stars
Cliffhanger:. Yes
HEA:

Undeniable was very disturbing read, it isn’t very different from any other new adult stories about rich guy and poor girl who’s in horrible situation, and has to do something sexual for the money . Unfortunately, Allie was very hard to relate too. I did not like the main character and her behavior, nor did I found the story interesting.

Plot wasn’t very original or exciting. Either they were having sex or nothing really important was happening. I also found Allie’s prostitution upsetting and nerve wrecking. Which made me dislike Zac, who wasn’t real man in my eyes. Sigh.

Anyway, I think it would be a lot of better read if it was full lengthen novel instead of short episode of the story. I wasn’t able to connect to it and understand the characters as everything seemed to be too rushed.

Overall, I’m pretty disappointed with how it went down. Undeniable wasn’t a read for me, and even a good premise and enjoyable style of writing, didn’t make me like it more.

Quick review for a quick read. "Undeniable" was pretty easy for me to pick up, admittedly, since it's the beginning of a serial novel series in the scheme of New Adult. But I have to say it's just as easy for me to put it down. Why? Nothing about this installment intrigued me to continue. Absolutely nothing about it stood out to define it apart from classic cookie cutter conventions in this genre. Between the virgin college grad heroine who struggles to make a living, to the instalust she has over a wealthy potential boyfriend, to the drama associated with the heroine's brother being mixed up in a drug deal and getting money for it, to the heroine auctioning off her virginity just to get the money she needs.

She meets wealthy boyfriend, quick sex interludes, and then he just drops her by the wayside. What about the money? She gets it, but then her brother shrugs her off too. And the ending? It's not even really an ending, just a stopping point. Little intrigue, if any at all.

In sum, "Undeniable" is pretty unremarkable, so I'm stopping my reading here. Not the worst I've read, but it did nothing for me in its brief perusal.

Overall score: 1/5 stars

Note: I received this as an ARC from NetGalley, from the publisher.

"What if one night could change your life?"

Undeniable is a story of a Allie an accounting graduate currently working as a waitress after being fired from her first accounting job after two months, a victim of the financial crunch.

It's during one of these shifts that Allie meets the mysterious Zac, her attraction is instant from here I felt the plot became a little unrealistic. Events and circumstances bring them back together again and lead to the "One night" in question.

Although I sympathise with her loneliness that's as much as I could connect with Allie. As she describes the monotony of her life and struggle to find a job or connection with anybody she in turn came of a little wooden. It's significant to the story to note that she's a virgin but honestly, Virgin does not equal idiot and at times I felt she extremely naïve.

At times the pace of story felt jagged but I started to get into in a bit more at 80%. The story ends on a cliff hanger and with all cliff hangers it should leave the reader with the feeling of wanting more and truthfully I did but only because it ended so abruptly without an answer to the question.

I was drawn into this book from the first time I read the description. And hooked from the first page. But I seriously hated the ending.

I just felt like the description promised a full length novel. There was no mention that this was going to be an ongoing serial novel. If I had known, I probably wouldn’t have picked it up. The end was awful. I can’t even call it the end. It was like the end of a chapter and the rest of the book wasn’t there. And that seriously drives me nuts.

I actually liked Zac and Allie. I thought they had great chemistry. And I thought Allie was a believable heroine. She was easy to identify with. And I felt for her situation. I was really into their story, cruising through the book when I hit the cliff at the end. And it all keeps coming back to that for me. It was like a splash of cold water…it was unpleasant in those circumstances.

I will continue with the story, but it won’t be until all the pieces of it are out. I tend to lose interest with serials because I hate waiting forever for bits and pieces. But as an overall, average length book…this could have been great.

Undeniable is part 1 of a novella series about Allie Nobokov who is waitressing at a diner until she finds a career in accounting to put her degree to use. Allie and her brother, Joel suffered differently after a family tragedy. While the tragedy made Allie work harder toward her goals, it made Joel shut down emotionally and rebel. Although her brother was distant, when he requested her help, she knew she had to find a way to help him.
Allie was working at the diner the first time she saw Zac and she feels an instant spark. He leaves, barely having spoken two words to her but she runs into him again and got the pleasure of spending a little more time with him before he abruptly leaves. Unsure if she’d ever see Zac again, Allie finds an ad on the internet that could change everything.

I really enjoyed this novella. The writing was good and intriguing. It left me wanting a lot more. I’m anxious for part 2. Allie’s willingness to prostitute herself was a little disturbing but I understood the sacrifice and I’m glad it was set up. The steamy scene with Zac was amazing. I loved how dominating he was along with his hints of concern for Allie. This book isn't very different from most new adult novels about a wealthy guy who swoops in to somehow save the girl as some sexual promise is made. But I'm not complaining, I still enjoyed it. I can’t wait to find out all Zac's secrets as well as Joel’s. The cliffhanger at the end made me want to pull my hair out. I need to know what happens ASAP. Great story!

Undeniable, Ashley Simone.
Review from Jeannie Zelos Book Reviews.
So, I saw this and thought it sounded like a fun read. Its Ashley's début book though, and I wanted more info, as I'd seen it ends on a cliffhanger. I wanted to know how many parts and when they'd be released. I’m so, so tired of waiting for next bits of a series, duo, trilogy that takes years to appear, or sometimes never. One series its now been four years I've been waiting....others just seem to get abandoned at part two, and we never get the ending of the trilogy. I see new authors that have three or four “series/duos/trilogies” but each is only at part one....So I’m wary, even if its a free book – it still takes my time to read and I like completion, and choose to read books that deliver an ending. Anyway I spoke to Ashley and she sent me the following info “Undeniable will be a trilogy. With any luck, I'll have part 2 up between April 17 - 25. Part 3 will probably be out in May/June.” So, I read it last night.
What did I think? Well, I feel Ashley has a terrific writing style, very realistic and readable. I was intrigued by Zac's oddness, he's clearly hiding something. I'm assuming he's some very rich CEO or something, that would explain his secrecy, but why is he so odd in other ways. One minute hot and heavy, sexy and sensual then next minute cold, like someone has flicked a switch. Who can do that? And why? What has happened to make him that way. Then there's Allie. Works hard to earn a living, after mum's death it's just her and her brother now, and they don't seem to be close. That happens often as people get older, but its still family, and when Joel comes needing money – lots of it – to stop himself getting beaten up by drug pushers Allie wants to help. She doesn't have $20,000 though and getting it in a week??
Just when I’m really “into” the story though it ends..very suddenly, with a horrendous cliffhanger. Now I’ve made my dislike of these clear, I HATE them, with a vengeance and mostly for that unknown next part, at unknown time and unknown price factor. At least here I know that more should be out within a few weeks, and the final part by June, all being well. That’s not so bad, I won't have forgotten the storyline by then, and at around 20,000 its not too much to skim and catch up on parts.
Ashley being a new author and self publishing I accept there's a lot to learn, but if she continues to write in this way, with excitement and action, sensuality and steam, and dialogue that feels genuine I’ll be more than happy to read more.
Stars: Four, cracking start. If it was a complete book it's be a five star for me I think.

When I was offered this book to read and review I read the blurb and thought YES, I’d like to read this book. Well, I didn’t scroll down and pay attention to the word count, so I had no idea this was a short read, let alone a trilogy. For me, I’d rather just read a whole story at once, not bits and pieces. That being said, I have read similar types of books and enjoyed them as long as I didn’t have a long wait for the next installment, so I really hope that I don’t have a long wait for the next release.

Undeniable grabbed me from the first page and I really liked the heroine, Allie. As I read along I noticed that Allie and I have a few things in common, which only deepened my interest even more and kept the pages turning. The story line to this point has my full attention. The sex scene was SUPER HOT and very nicely done. The hero, Zac, is a mystery, and his story has yet to be told. We haven’t gotten to hear his thoughts or feelings, and he’s VERY closed off. I expect with each installment that we will learn much more about him and just exactly who he really is.

For a debut book, Ashley Simone did a good job. She was able to grab my attention right away. I liked the characters; and she sure can pen a very sensuous love scene. The cliffhanger ending did its job well, leaving me wanting MORE and I WANT IT NOW! You can definitely count me in on reading the rest of this trilogy.

This was emotional and the damn cliffhanger didn't help at all! Zac I loved him at first, "pure self-interest," Zac said, handing me my jacket and scarf. "I couldn't let you wander off in my clothes." He was passionate, "mine," he growled softly, and then his lips brushed against mine again. I pressed back, trying not to moan into his mouth." Then I felt like he was an a**, "I head Zac move to the sofa and he sighed. "This is why I never hire virgins." It was like he was cold and there was no emotion in him, "when he spoke, his voice deadened, and sounded as though it were coming from somewhere far away. "We weren't having fun. I was paying you for a service. You seem to have misunderstood." Allie though has some lady balls and isn't afraid to let him know what's up, "I stared at him disbelievingly. "You did nothing wrong? You walked out of the hotel room like I was a piece of common trash and you never even bothered to call me." I really hope there's not a lot of parts to this series because cliffhangers really do kill me.

There was a lot of promise in this, however it fell very flat and had a rubbish cliffhanger.

Honestly, I'm not sure what I think of this short serial. I understand the need to leave readers wanting more, but I feel like the story ended too abruptly and I didn't really connect with the characters. There just wasn't a lot of depth. Not sure I would be interested in reading the second book after this.

Allie is college graduate, working in a diner, while looking for an accounting job. A hot guy enters the diner and she feels a connection with him after they lock eyes. A few weeks later she runs into him while out for dinner with friends and he gives her a ride home. They share a heated kiss, but he ends things abruptly and disappears. She doesn't know anything about this guy, but can't stop thinking about him.

Her brother is in trouble and needs cash to pay off some guy that's threatening him. She vows to get the money, but I can't understand why. He doesn't really give her any explanation, just expects her to bail him out. For some reason, she blames herself. She's searching for a way to make fast cash when she stumbles across an ad on a website that describes her.

Turns out it's the mystery guy, Zach, who placed the ad and he's willing to pay for one night with someone that resembles her. I don't get why he wouldn't have propositioned her when he ran into her the second time. Instead, she just happens to come across his ad? Did I mention she's a virgin? I just found the story a little over the top. I didn't feel any connection between Zach and Allie. He came off as cold and uncaring, while she came off as naive and a little foolish.

Undeniable

I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Undeniable is the first NA book by Ashley Simone. It is a novella (~20,000 words) and the first book of a trilogy. The book ends with a cliffhanger.

This story was working so well for me. Hot, sexy guy: check; steamy scenes: check; mystery: check. OK, you have my attention. Then….the end. WHAT? But, I had questions! I wanted more. Much, much more. I have to admit, I was really frustrated and annoyed when I got to the end of this book. However, the more I think about it, maybe Ms. Simone has the right idea. We’ve all read the trilogies that, honestly, should have been two books at the most. Because authors, many times, offer the first book for free, they stretch the story unnecessarily after they hook us readers. Maybe a short, very intriguing novella for free (I'm guessing she will offer it for free, but I could be wrong), followed by two solid, complete books is a better marketing strategy. So far, Ms. Simone’s story is really intriguing. I have so many questions. Was there enough for readers to connect with the characters and make the additional purchases? I’d say yes, depending on how she prices the other two books in the series, if they are books instead of novellas and the amount of time between the releases.

I would recommend this novella for readers who enjoy NA with a bit of mystery on the side. However, this is only for those readers who don’t mind cliffhangers and an unknown time frame for the releases of the other two books in the series.

I usually avoid serials like the plague, but the synopsis on this one was enough to make me curious enough to give it a shot. Thankfully, I wasn't disappointed. Too much anyway.

Overall, this was a quick and intriguing read. It's only 62 pages, but those 62 pages kept me hooked and that is saying a lot given my attention span. The only major downfall of this for me is the fact that it is a serial. There wasn't really enough time to form any lasting opinions on any of the characters. I didn't get attached to the story of the characters themselves, I just wanted to know what was going to happen. That may work for some readers, especially those who dig the idea behind a serial, but it just frustrates me seeing as how I tend to be more of an instant gratification type person. I assume as the series goes on, we'll get more insight into what makes the characters tick and if the rest are like this, it will be a good ride.

That said, I am definitely interested in continuing on with the series. The first book gave me enough that I definitely have the need to know more. Even if it also makes me wish that I could have already had it in a full length novel. That's not really a bad problem to have.

This book was very fast paced, which throws you into the story. You meet Allie who seems like a wholesome girl who is just trying to find her place in the job world. She helps a very sexy stranger in her work place and can't get him out if her head.
On a night out they bump into each other again and this time he helps Allie out. Zac seems standoff-ish but also has a sexy flair about him.
With her brother having money issues, Zac comes to the rescue in the form of an online escort service which unbeknownst to Zac, it's Allie who he is paying for the night. She offers her virginity for more money to help her brother.
After a disagreement between Allie and Zac, he treats her coldly and he leaves the room not to be seen for a number of weeks, only to turn up again with interesting information.
I'm looking forward to more Zac and Allie.

Ashley has a very realistic view while writing this story. I wanted to reach out and slap Allie for blaming herself about her brothers drug problem. Also they way she chose to help him pissed me off. Why just give him the money? What made her think he was really clean? Just because he said he was, doesn't mean anything.

As for Zac, he intrigues me. He is hiding something that hopefully comes out in the next book.

I loved how the book ended with her assuming that he came back to the diner to apologize, only to find out he is their because of her brother.

Okay, I'm hooked!!! I'm left with wanting so much more!! I'm curious. Who is Zac? What is going on with Joel?

Awesome start to a new series!!

Spoiler Alert
I'm left with so many questions!!!
Why does he spend so much for escorts, especially for a PG experience. Why would he be looking for an escort just like her then treat her like she's nothing?? How old is he?? Why didn't she call him out for his lust/cherish on her???? What is the Smith trust??

This book is supposed to be like mysteriously romantic but I was just not feeling it. Plus for her to see this add asking for only one night, I’d be personally kind of pissed. Like one night is all it’d take to get over her, be it the real her or not smh. I think what bothers me is it’s kind of a been there done that storyline. She’s a waitress at a restaurant, meets this random stranger and they hit it off until he disappears. It’s hard to really rate this overall because it’s fairly short and ends out of nowhere and of course with a hella cliffy. While I can’t deny there was chemistry I just build a connection with either and while I want to know what happens, I’m kind of over it.

Undeniable is book one in the Undeniable series by Ashley Simone. Allison Nobokov is a recent college graduate who studied to be an accountant. She lost her accounting job and now waits tables in a diner to make ends meet while she looks for a new job in her field. She's barely scrapping by when one night an attractive business man enters the diner where he inadvertently leaves a file behind. Allie, runs him down, returning the folder. The mysterious stranger drives off into the night and Allie moves on assuming she won't ever see him again. As chance would have it, Allie runs into the mysterious stranger one night weeks later while in a bar. He introduces himself as Zac. Allie is again attracted to him for unexplainable reasons. When the touch, it's like lightning and she can't ignore it. Fate seems to be on Allie's side that night as Zac ends up driving her home from the bar. Just when Allie thinks things might be moving in a positive direction for her the mysterious Zac disappears into the night. Weeks later, Allie is online and sees the following on a dating site "I met a girl in a Williamsburg diner, and I can't get her out of my head." Allie knows it must be Zac. She takes a chance in replying to the ad to see if he bites. When he does and presents a solution to Allie's biggest problem she can't help but accept. But Zac is secretive and she knows very little about him. Not to mention Allie is insanely inexperienced and doesn't know what she's truly walking into by agreeing to see him.

I'll be honest, this book has a lot of potential. It's not horribly written though there are some slightly awkward parts and some of the dialogue seems a bit forced. But Simone does a good job of developing a highly suspenseful and mysterious plot line. The build-up is well done and kept me highly engaged. What I found most impressive is the level of mystery in this story. It's not something I usually look for in New Adult Romance and often when I find it, it's not well done. I didn't think that was the case with this story. I couldn't help but think that something was slightly off with Allie's brother Joel. Clearly he wasn't telling her everything and he was using the innocence of Allie to play with her and get what he wanted. In addition, Zac is clearly keeping secrets. Never wanting to real anything about himself or what he does. He always seems to chose his words very carefully so as not to give anything away. All of this added to the build-up in the book. And I'm not sure about anyone else, but I couldn't help but wonder if maybe Zac was into something illegal, and maybe perhaps if he and Allie's brother were somehow connected. This portion of the story ended with a huge cliffhanger which I didn't really care for, but who does with books. This wasn't really a full book, but a third of one. I'm eager to see where the story goes and how it ends. I've added the next two parts to my To Read list.

A couple of items that distracted me from the storyline. There were some word choices that I thought were odd. For example referring to cash as notes and license plate as numberplate. These were awkward word choices and most likely are a reference of where Simone is from or grew up. It's always advisable to use the words and slang of the country for which you are writing, and I would hope that this would be corrected in the published version of the book. Incorrect word usage by like significantly distracts from the storyline especially for reads in that country as it pulls them entirely out of the story. Other than that, though, this was an overall acceptable story and one that I'll likely recommend to other readers, assuming the subsequent parts are equally as good.

Undeniable by Ashley Simone

***Received an ARC of this book from the Publisher in exchange for an honest review***

Overall Rating: 4.5 Rockin’ ★★★★☆

Allie’s life was forever changed the day Zac walked into the diner that she was working at. His beautiful eyes held her frozen to the spot the moment she looked into them. Zac is exactly the kind of man that she wants to lose her virgin card too! Only he doesn’t approach her or ask for her phone number. That’s just Allie’s luck; find that someone that she is finally interested in and it goes nowhere! Typical of her life, she lost her mother to cancer, her job to the economy and now a beautiful man. What else can happen to her?

Joel looked at me with scared eyes. “Remember how you said you’d always be there for me?”
“Of course.”
“Well I need you help now.” His lips twisted upwards in a grim, humorless smile, and I nodded rapidly.
“I need twenty thousand dollars.”

Allie cannot believe her baby brother is asking her for twenty thousand dollars! She had lost her job and was working as a waitress to keep a roof over her head. There was no way she could come up with that kind of money. Even though she had promised her mother that she would take care of Joel, there was no way she could bail him out of this.

Joel said, “It’s serious. If I don’t have the money…”
His voice trailed off and I said, “What? If you don’t have the money…?”
“He says he’ll break my leg.”

Allie runs into Zac at a bar where she was meeting her roommate. Zac rescues her from an offensive blind date. But once again he does not pick up on the intense reaction that they have to each other.

“Would you like to come upstairs?” He shook his head. “I shouldn’t.”
“Oh.” I hid my surprise. There was nothing to be surprised about, really. The ones you liked, never like you back.

While searching online for “high-paying freelance work” to make some money to help Joel, Allie stumbles across a classified site for escort services. With a recent ad describing someone that could be her. Allie replies and decides that it is Zac requesting services. The man on the site is willing to pay 25K for one night so Allie agrees to meet him. This will save her brother!

And then it hit me with a whoosh! I was going to lose my virginity.

Allie does not know what to expect but she goes to the meet the unknown man. From that moment forward nothing is as she expected it to be.

Hero –Zac: 4.5 stars
Heroine –Allie : 4.5 stars
Steam: 4.5 stars

Cliffhanger: Yes

Would I recommend this book: Yes! This book is about a Mystery Man that meets a naive young woman that doesn’t have a clue about the real world and how things work. The ending leaves you wanting the next book immediately to find out what happens next.

Would I read other books by this author: Yes! I want to read what happens to Allie and Zac.

What if One Night Could Change Your Life?

Working in a diner by day and desperately applying for accounting jobs by night, Allie Nobokov fears that her future will be one of a single, virginal, cat lady. A chance encounter with a gorgeous stranger, Zac, awakens her desires and she feels an undeniable connection.

When fate pushes them together once again, Allie’s desires run wild – until, just when things start getting hot and heavy, Zac disappears into the night...

How can you deny a connection so strong?

All that is pushed to the back of Allie’s mind when her younger brother shows up on her doorstep, desperately in need of more money than she can provide… Until she sees a classified ad.

“I met a girl and I can’t get over her,” says the ad, and goes on to describe Allie. “If you look like her, I’ll pay handsomely for one night with you.”

Can Allie summon the courage to answer the mysterious ad and go through with what it entails? And can she convince the enigmatic Zac to push aside his demons and give their love a chance?
When I requested Undeniable I thought it was a full-length novel. I have a hard time reading short novels, novellas.

I'm ashamed to compare this book to 50 Shades of Gray. It's like you can't read a book that includes sexy scenes, seducing scenes, etc. without thinking of EL James' series first. Funny because I still haven't read those.

I don't know if the authors started this series as a novel and cut it then. I guess the story was meant to happen in short novels. That'd explain why some parts seemed rushed to me. However, sometimes it's better to rush than to make the reader feel bored by describing too much.

Allie really cared for her brother, so the story also focuses on other relationships too.

I had a problem wth how easily Allie found Zac on the internet. That didn't happen by accident, did it? ;)

Saying this is my new favorite book would be a lie. But I liked it enough to be excited about the sequel.

Man, I hate to love a cliffhanger. I love cliffhangers because it means that I’m sucked in enough to the story and characters that when the story unexpectedly ends, it pisses me right off. And I LOVE being that engrossed in a story. I hate cliff hangers because who likes to wait to find out how a story ends?!?

We meet Allie Nabokov mid-shift at a New York diner. Fresh from college, trying to figure out which way is up after being laid off from her first job out of college. Until a man walks into her diner and changes her life forever with an immediate connection they both feel and only she is willing to do much about.

At least directly.

He – whose name is actually Zac – takes out an ad that serendipity leads Allie straight to. What was the ad for? For one night with an escort who needed to look just like Allie. When history intervenes and Allie’s brother is suddenly in a huge amount of financial trouble, Allie agrees to one night.

The premise of this story sucked me right in from the very beginning. I’m a huge fan of serendipity and this book has it in spades. I will warn you though that you need to be willing to suspend your disbelief and just roll with this story. Allie is about as naïve as it gets and Zac is about as classically tall, dark and mysterious as it gets, but there is a delicious amount of tension between them that just whets my appetite for more.

If there is one thing Ashley Simone does extremely well in this book, it’s write an extremely hot sex scene:

“’I can’t let you walk away again,’ he said, his voice hoarse with lust. ‘Because this is what I want. I want to taste every part of you. I want you moaning and writhing under me, I want you weak and helpless. I want you to scream my name, over and over again.’”

As much mystery as Zac is cloaked in, he firmly establishes himself as a prime alpha male in this sex scene – he’s firmly in control, thoroughly attentive and has a wonderfully dirty mouth.

Even though there are moments when Allie’s naiveté gets a little irritating, overall the flow of this story is wonderful. I’m completely intrigued by the characters and the overall developing storyline and I cannot wait to read the next installment.

The blurb for this novel had me intrigued and thinking it may be an interesting read, however I was mistaken. I found the writing to be basic and while it was categorised as New Adult, I found it to be nothing like the genre it claimed to belong with and more like an adult romance.

‘Undeniable’ is a novel about Allie, a young Waitress, who meets Zac, the overly described gorgeous, attractive and perfect love interest. After sharing a moment and having Zac leave with no explanation, Allie stumbles across an add online with a vague description of someone who looks like her; ‘”I met a girl in a Williamsburg diner,’ the add from zb1234 said, “And I can’t get her out of my head. She’s not too tall and not too short, slim and curvy, and has gorgeous wavy brown hair and sparkling brown eyes. Her cheeks dimple when she smiles. If this sounds like you, let me know, and I’ll make it worth your while.”’

There was little character development and the actions and motives of the protagonist, Allie, often confused me and had me re-reading to see if I’d missed something, which is something easily avoidable with decent editing on a first draft. The lack of character development could be attributed to the fact that the book was only 81 pages long, not nearly enough time to develop decent plot and/or characters.

Allie was the clichéd, contradictory, naive girl who seemed to constantly put herself down ‘It’s not like he’d notice me, a mousy young waitress’. While Zac was a contrary confusion, who while obviously wanting to hook up with Allie ‘I met a girl… and I can’t get her out of my head’ , would rather hook up with someone who looks like her, and gets angry when she is the one who replies to the add.

One irritating thing was the over-exaggeration of Michael, the sleazy, obnoxious blind date, who was obviously used as a pawn to juxtapose the general male population (Cliche; as viewed by women attempting to find a partner and failing because ‘all men are jerks’) with Zac, the caring helpful charmer.

I don’t think I would continue the series, and if I did it would only be because the book ends on a cliffhanger regarding Joel, Allie’s brother.

I received an ARC of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review at Donnie Darko Girl.

Undeniable is super steamy and super hot. The first part of a trilogy, it's a quick read at around seventy pages (on the Kindle), and it ends with a cliff hanger. If you don't like cliff hangers, then you might want to wait until all three parts have been released.

Everyone who is a part of Allie's life treats her like dirt, except MAYBE her roommate. Her roommate seemed like an okay friend, although I have to wonder about her selection in a blind date for Allie. That was a total disaster! If I were Allie, I would have been insulted that my friend chose such a skeeze to be my date.

Allie and her brother lost their father when they were very young and were raised in a single parent home by their mother. Then their mother died from cancer a year before the start of Undeniable. Allie's brother drops out of college and turns to drugs to cope, and while she blames herself for the way his life is turning out, it obviously isn't her fault.

She can't stop him from doing drugs if that's how he wants to cope. I think as the older sibling, since both of their parents are now deceased, she feels responsible for him on some level. She mentioned she promised their mother she'd look after him, but he's a grown man. I think it's unfair for Allie to put this burden on herself, especially since her brother treats her about the same as an enemy would.

I wasn't sure how to feel about the possible romance blooming between Allie and Zac - Allie is a weak female lead while Zac is a jerk to be honest. I like alpha males, but since there isn't much background given on him, it was hard to root for him. Strangely I still found their scenes hot!

Overall, with the way Undeniable ended, I definitely want to read the next installment and am hoping for the lowdown on Zac. I need to know what's happened to him in the past because he's obviously been hurt - and badly. I also want Allie to toughen up and stop letting everyone in her life run over her.

Mystery men. Why are they so hard to resist? The mere thought of figuring them out, whether they're real or fictional, keeps people - specifically women - coming back for more, time and time again. Undeniable's Zac falls squarely in the mystery man category. We don't know his last name. Or what he does and why he does it. And why, despite his obvious attraction to Allie, he decides not to pursue her using traditional measures. After reading Undeniable, I feel like I need to find my very own Mystery Machine (with accompanying Scooby squad) and get the bottom of what's going on. Only there's one problem - I have to be patient enough to wait on the next book....

Allie Nobokov is working as a waitress and trying to find a replacement for the accounting job she just lost when Zac walks into her diner and catches her eye. He's gorgeous and despite only sharing a handful of words, it seems that they have a connection. Running into him again weeks later and sharing a moment of passion only confirms what Allie suspected from the start - there's something between them. But after hearing nothing from him, and needing to help her brother out of a tight spot, she decides to answer a classified ad that could only have been placed by the mysterious Zac. Now, it seems, is her chance to figure him out....

This was a quick, easy read. I felt for Allie - I liked her - and was a little annoyed on her behalf with the men in her life. After all, sisters have to stick together. Right?? Undeniable was, undeniably, an interesting story. Actually, it's an interesting beginning to a story. It ends on a cliffhanger that certainly had me wondering what was going on and how long I'd have to wait to find out. There's a lot of potential to this story, just like there is between Allie and Zac. And since I haven't yet solved this mystery, I'll be back for part two.

This is not a standalone book - you'd better believe there's a cliffhanger.

I loved and hated this book! I couldn't put it down and it was WAY TOO SHORT!! It is filled with sexy, rich alpha male and angst! Two of my favorite things! He was hot and mysterious but he has hollow look in his eyes that Allie can recognize right away.

There was something about him. I could sense a hollowness behind that smile, something that reflected what I had gone through a year ago. Some days the pain inside me was as sharp and brutal as ever...

Allie is working as a waitress in a rundown diner trying to pay the bills and keep a roof over her head while she tries to find an accounting job. She hates the diner and is beginning to think that she will never find her dream job.

Zac is the hot customer in the tailored suit that doesn't look like he should be dining in a place like the diner, but she was drawn to him right away.

In desperate need for fast money, Allie starts looking for alternative ways to earn it when she happens upon an ad that she cannot pass up.

“I can’t let you walk away again, because this is what I want. I want to taste every part of you. I want you moaning and writhing under me, I want you weak and helpless. I want you to scream my name, over and over again. Say it.”

"Zac, Zac..."

“I want to press my face against those gorgeous breasts of yours, and I want to feel those nipples under my fingertips. I want to squeeze them and rub them till they’re hard, and I want you to squeal with pleasure and pain. I’m going to rip off your panties and leave you a soaking mess, and then I’m going to fuck you. I’m going to take my time, and I’m going to make you scream until you’re hoarse.”

It was a very quick read - literally. It only look me about an hour and I was dying when it ended with a MASSIVE cliffhanger! But I still loved it and I can't wait to read the next installment of this serial.

Undeniable follows the story of Allie. Allie works hard at a diner, just barely making ends meet. She's desperately looking for a better job. She's overwhelmed with fears of the future. Until one day, she meets Zac. After a few chance encounters, she feels this connection that she can't deny.

On top of everything that is going on in Allie's life, her brother shows up on her step with money issues. He owes some dangerous people money. Money that neither Allie or her brother have. Desperate to find an answer to her brothers problems, Allie will answer an ad that will changer her life....Fate has brought Allie and Zac back together. They spend an incredible night together and then he disappears into the night.

I normally enjoy serial reads. I know they are going to be quick and will either keep me guessing or will end right as it's getting good. I liked the idea of this story. I thought it started out really well, but it was almost like there was too much mystery/questions for the first book.

Most of my issues stem from the whole ad situation and how it went down. It was hard for me to believe that someone so inexperienced would go along with Zac's proposition. I just wanted Allie to walk away from the whole thing.

That being said, I do find Zac to be very intriguing. There is a lot of mystery surrounding him and his behavior towards Allie. I really hope that we get some answers in the next book.

Overall, I think that this was an ok book. It was a very quick read and I will continue on with the series. I am curious to see where the story will go next.

I saw some reviews on this book (only three were posted). I am confused and am wondering if they read the same book that I did. I did not like Allie at all. She complained a lot and felt sorry for herself a lot and blamed herself for her brother. I mean there should be some kind of signs that something is up. Somewhere regarding Joel!! I mean, think about it, "are you still doing drugs?" He shook his head "Seriously Allie after all this" So she takes his word for it and blames herself!!?? Now, there was no build up to the scenes in this book. They were just there talking then they were having sex then they weren't ( so texan ..I know..lol). Zac is another story. There is no history on him (There was some history with Allie and Joel). For all we know about him he is an ass. There could have been some hints dropped here and there about him...NOT ONE!! Now, that brings me to Allie and Zac. Dude!!! He just paid you to get down and dirty for 25,000$ and a non closure agreement and is specifically states "for your services". What!! Then you get attached regardless if he gifted you the money after you said you could not follow through. "You can take it" "Take it before I change my mind" then you don't leave and give it up anyways with every intention of taking the money. What!!! Okay, enough about that. I did finish this in one sitting and the synopsis was good. It made me want to read it. The follow through....not so much. I really do not like leaving these kind of reviews. Well, it can only get better from here...right?

I received this ARC from the author via Net Galley for my honest review. Thank you, Net Galley!!

Undeniable by Ashley Simone will leave you bashing your head against the book/kindle/reading vessel and somewhat frustrated! When I started reading this book I didn't realise till I stopped to go to bed that it was more of a novella in length (That or I consumed it really quickly). It has a great pace, nice and quick and Allie is a likeable character.

You are inundated with other characters either. You have her roomie and her brother plus a few subbies but nothing that really makes you wonder who she's talking too and how they are connected to Allie's life. Then you have Zac, he really should just be a walking 'Question Mark'. I think that's what kept me going, I wanted to know more. Needed to know more... Hell I still NEED TO KNOW MORE!

Ashely Simone has wrote a story which will capture you and reel you in, only problem is its a MASSIVE cliffhanger which will leave you wondering when the second book will come with so many questions. I do hate books which leave me like this. I needed more and knowing I have to wait can sometimes make me angry towards the book itself.

If you are looking for a quick read, something thats got a great leading lady, hot mysterious leading guy and a mystery about what's going on (Pretty much) with everyone else in the story, this is for you. I liked it, I gave it 4 stars but admit it was almost a 3 due to how annoyed I was with the ending. I just have to hope now that Ashley doesn't make us wait too long for the second book.

4 Knocked my socks off stars!!

Normally, I do not read novella's or short stories. I like my books to be at least a typical 200 pages. It normally takes that for me to feel involved in the story and to connect to the characters. Well.... Asley Simone blew that preconceived notion right out of the water!!

Let me first warn you and say this does end on a cliff hanger and you will want to read the next book so just go ahead and purchase them all.

Allie is a young, fresh out of college, and trying to make it in the Big Apple. After some hard knocks, she finds herself working in a dead end job, barely making ends meet. She feels like a failure. It has been her job to take care of her younger brother and she hasn't even been able to do that right. There is no bright spot in her day, nothing that makes her feel like she is even living. Until Zac walks in the diner. A chance meeting, and then another with Zac leaves an impression and she is unable to get this handsome stranger out of her mind.

Allie's is looking for a way to make some money quick and stumbles across an add, one that is describing her and her meetings with Zac. An ad that is looking for an escort to match her description. A service that is paying what she needs.

This short story was so well written and flowed so well. I was hooked from the beginning and I cannot wait to read the rest of this series to find out what happens!

**** I Love Story Time was gifted an ARC by Ashley Simone in exchange for an honest review *****

I really enjoyed this book. I kept flipping through the pages like they were going out of style until I was left hanging! Yes, left hanging! I didn't realize that this was a short story and boy was there a cliffhanger! HaHa!!

I liked that even though it was a short story, it still grabbed my attention and I was able to read in one sitting. Sometimes I can't get past the first few chapters in a book because I lose interest. However, I did not have that problem. I didn't have any problems until it said.....

This is the first part of the Undeniable series, and is continued in Part 2.

Yes, that was when I hit a problem!!! It was the ending...LOL...because I finished it so fast and I didn't have book 2! I need to see what is going on, what comes next for her brother, and most importantly what comes next with Zac and Allie! I still need to find out who Zac is, he's such a mystery and gives nothing away. He's mysteriously sexy and boy does he have some words....

"I can't let you walk away again. Because this is what I want. I want to taste every part of you. I want you moaning and writhing under me. I want you weak and helpless. I want you to scream my name, over and over again."

Mighty HOT! Like I said I enjoyed this book just wish it was a little longer but still a good read!
