Heritage of Ireland captivates readers with eloquent text and full-color photographs that chronicle the major events that have shaped this land and its people.
Too broad and yet too specific. Not well composed. It was hard to read and therefore interest in it plummetted 1/2 way through. This could have been a MUCH more interesting and fun history book.
All that said, I learned about the history of Ireland a bit, and was able to piece together some of it in a straight line through history.
Not a terribly in depth or compelling book about Irish history--it's really pretty simplistic in its coverage. I'll be looking for something with a little more depth.
For someone that wants a quick history of Ireland with an emphasis on literature and architecture, this 157 page book with lots of photographs and illustrations is a good read.
