Is this the series I expected to look at the various shapes fertility can take? Nope, but I'm still happy that it covered biological, surrogacy, and adoption as ways people can start a family.

I will continue loving this series like it’s nobody’s business! I can keep reading forever tbh 😩 I don’t care how messy some of the characters are!
As for the specifics of this volume, I’m actually pleasantly surprised to see an omegaverse story that explores different avenues of growing your family. We have talks of surrogacy, sperm donation, and adoption. The different avenues were preferred by different couples, and I fuck with that. I’m just sad that the cover of this volume shows all the kiddos as toddlers, but we don’t actually get to see that 😭 Gimme my babies!
Anyways. As always, Heesoo and Dojun supremacy 🙏🏻 I adore them with my heart and soul. I loved finally getting to see them have some conflict as a couple but also find a way to resolve it by talking to one another. Their dog is also so cute! 🥺 Love that they went the adoption route to expand their family 💖
Chowon and Kyungsoo are also amazing ✨ I love my diva Chowon. He’s feral, and it’s incredible. The one thing I didn’t like about their storyline was Kyungsoo going behind Chowon’s back, so his parents could meet their baby. I hate the whole “toxic grandparents have a right to meet their grandchildren” bullshit. If Chowon wants them cut off, that’s his fucking right and his call. It’s HIS parents. Kyungsoo has no business overstepping those boundaries. Beyond that, I love how protective Chowon was of Kyungsoo. Once he was under threat, he completely locked in. He was ready for marriage and a baby, and we have to stan.
As always, Dojin and Hyesung are idiots, and I have no interest talking about their hot mess. All I care about is baby Byul. I support his right to scream he hates his parents because Hyesung went to see Dojin without him 😂

ALRIGHT THOUGHTS TIME!
It was a nice read, and quite comical. However, I don't understand why the ship is so popular. The couple is presented as two people with mutual love for each other by many, when for me that's not the case. I feel the author also tried to deliver the relationship as such, but I don't think they succeeded. Because throughout the whole manga, it felt like Dojin (the alpha) did everything while Hye-sung (the omega) manipulated him, using the top's love for him as a stepping stool to do just that. The feelings didn't feel mutual at all, and though Dojin loved him very much (that was evident), Hye-sung never did, although in the end they really tried to deliver the opposite. In the end, they stayed together, as a family, "a couple in love and their baby". I personally never saw that. It seemed to me as though Hye-sung stayed with the top just for the baby, not because he loved him back. And, honestly, it makes sense, I don't blame Hye-sung for anything! Hye-sung had his world flipped upside down, was raped and baby trapped - It makes sense why he failed to fall in love, and his behavior was understandable. To this day, I really hate this relationship. That's all.
(I didn't really care about the side couples)

This volume was a wonderful slice of life in the lives of all the characters we have met throughout the story and it was very nice to read. Full color on every page, uncensored too-a nice touch for the more steamier content found in the volume. I really appreciate the artistic effort in this one. It was nice revisiting our familiar favorite couple but I'm really glad we got to see more of Chowon and Kyungsoo. Their toxic dynamic is always so interesting and funny. I do wish more time was spent on everyone's respective decision to have children because it really felt like the artist/author was just trying to rush to set up for the sequel series she had planned. Still, it was very enjoyable.

This was the book I needed to bridge the gap between this series and Byul's series. It shows that despite appearances, Hye-sung does love Dojin (because at times it felt very one sided). Loved seeing how the other babies came to be.

This series was better in the beginning. While I didn't dislike everything there were a lot I would have changed. Also not sure if this is the last volume especially because all of this volume was side stories. I honestly just want to finish it at this point.

The babies are super cute. The story over is omegaverse which has dub to non con in it. But I think my fav was the beta and omega couple. A lot of toxic bs in this series. I know that there is a few series after this but I’m not sure I’m gonna read them.

No es la primera vez que leo "El amor es una ilusión", si no, la tercera, aunque en las anteriores la historia había estado incompleta, así que por única ocasión lo leí en su totalidad. Me decidí a volver a esta historia para recordar a sus personajes, ya que quiero comenzar a leer "Superstar" en un futuro, seguramente hasta que esté finalizado.
Intentaré no hacer ningún spoiler inmenso en este post, pues abarcaré los siete tomos en este mismo, pero es difícil, así que sugiero que se lea con precaución si es un manhwa que les interesa leer en el futuro.
"Love is an Illusion" es muy popular en el mundo de los manhwas BL, en cierto sentido es ligero y rápido de leer, el dibujo es bastante bonito y a lo largo de los años las habilidades de la autora evolucionaron positivamente, cosa que se puede ver con el pasar del tiempo y los capítulos.
Se tiene una historia bastante bien desarrollada, con muchos matices, drama, problemáticas, variedad de personajes tanto en estilo como en personalidad y sub tramas conectadas unas con otras.
Creo que voy a terminar teniendo una opinión algo controversial para algunos.
Comenzando con que yo amo a Hyesung, a pesar de todo lo que tengan que criticarle yo siempre lo voy a defender a capa y espada. Era pequeño, estaba lleno de traumas, acababa de descubrir que no era eso que siempre había creído ser, estaba en situaciones de precariedad, y además, si no entendí mal, se da a entender que por su condición de omega recesivo es un poquito tonto y por eso es tan fácil de estafar o convencer.
Muchas de las cosas que le critican tienen fundamento y una razón de ser, no sólo de sí mismo, si no de su papel como padre o "madre" de familia también, si lo vieran tal cual como a una persona con todos sus problemas y matices se darían cuenta de toda la dureza de sus comentarios.
En cuanto a Dojin, aunque llega a tener una evolución, comienza siendo un hijito de papá, haciendo berrinches y siendo públicamente desagradable (eso nunca se le quita), orgulloso y altanero. No se debe de olvidar lo que le hace al inicio de la historia, porque lo vean por donde lo vean, no fue más que un abuso, sí, fue influenciado por las feromonas de Hyesung, pero sigue siendo eso, no hay consentimiento en ningún momento, no tenía el derecho de "demostrarle" que era un omega de esa manera, además de ciertos eventos que suceden más adelante que siguen confirmado su personalidad y comportamiento cuestionable y tóxico a más no poder.
En cuanto a la relación de ambos y su "enamoramiento" no capto en qué momento Hye se enamoró. Buena parte de la historia, si no es que casi toda, se da por cosas naturales de sus "generos" y por cosas del "destino" que se sacaron de la manga para mantenerlos juntos, como el que estén enlazados. Lo vi casi todo el tiempo como que nuestro omega comenzó a ver con buenos ojos al alfa, pero más como un amigo y compañero, padre de su hijo, que realmente como una pareja. La única parte en la que lo noté realmente enamorado fue al final.
En cuanto a los demás personajes tenemos a una estrellita que destaca con facilidad y es Byul, un bebé alfa que se roba el corazón de todos, incluido el del lector casi desde su primera aparición, es un respiro entre todo el caos en algunas ocasiones.
No me quiero alargar mucho en los demás, pero quiero destacar que al menos algo bueno de la unión de nuestros dos protagonistas es que la familia de Dojin acoge a Hye como uno más de ellos y le dan todo el amor que merecía y necesitaba, gracias por eso Fargo.
Un punto negativo de la historia que a lo mejor muchos no consideran así pero a mí me molesta es la necesidad de que todas las parejas tengan un hijo... con Byul era más que suficiente, a mi parecer, pues ya se veían las problemáticas de ser padres jóvenes y más cuando fue un embarazo no deseado (esto no creo que sea spoiler, es de las cosas que más se saben del manhwa), sumándole que las otras parejas que se convierten en padres no están muy bien psicológicamente... no es un detalle que creyera necesario, sinceramente.
En resumen, este es un manhwa que no creo que se deba leer a la ligera, si no, considerando cada uno de los aspectos que se nos exponen a lo largo de la historia, pues si se ve de manera superficial se puede llegar a romantizar algo que ni al caso. Principalmente me preocupa que mucha de la gente que lo ha leído lo hizo cuando tenían al rededor de quince años, edad en la que es muy fácil mal interpretar las cosas, normalizar situaciones que no deberían y endiosar personajes cuestionables, ADEMAS DE QUE CONTIENE ESCENAS +18.
Sugiero que si "El amor es una ilusión" llama su atención, lo lean con ojos críticos desde el inicio y, en caso de que ya conozcan la historia de hace muchos años, vuelvan a leerlo y pongan mejor atención a los detalles, pues la última vez que lo leí noté muchas cosas más que la primera y me formé una mejor opinión de todo.
