An excellent look at the life of Jimmy Carter, from his birth to the beginning of his presidency. James Wooten details all aspects of Carter's life, as a son of the Deep South. Carter was able to leave to see the world as a naval officer and gain a greater perspective of this country. Yet, he returned to his roots to re-invent himself.
More than just a biography of Jimmy Carter, Mr. Wooten has written a biography of the Carter Family and a history of southern politics.
This biography was published in 1978.
