Kylie’s last words before slamming the door on Tristan’s face still haunt him. But despite her outright rejection and her growing closeness to Erik, Tristan can’t keep himself from falling harder for Kylie.
If only she’d stop pretending he didn’t exist… The clock is ticking with Erik still in the picture. But just like Prince Charming, Tristan is determined to do anything and everything to win Kylie back—and keep her forever.
nice story but a little too clichè for my taste - enemies turned to lovers. also the first pop fiction books (1&2) i read with minimal to no errors. kudos to the writer and editor. :)
Well, this was less fun than part 1, but it is still fun nonetheless.
Overall, it is still the cliche and witty romance between former friends. I like the word use and how heartwarming certain aspects are. The use of songs to enhance the story is also a great touch and is something you'd appreciate about the Philippine copyright system (as those song insertion would not typically be possible in most developed countries' IP laws). However, giving it a three means there is a lot of criticism available.
1. The pacing can be off: Yeah, it is normal that time jumps, but I feel like it is not well done in this novel. I can't really say much without spacing. 2. Character development: The development of Kylie and to an extent, Tristan is also a bit off. Certain important aspects of the novel (such as its lessons) are not well incorporated into their story. This even extends to certain side characters where their hidden agendas are not well communicated. 3. The "Finding Cinderella" title is lost: I mean it is the part 2 which is the "chase", but the main event of part 1 where the title originated is barely mentioned or emphasised. In my opinion, as it keeps the title "Finding Cinderella", it should had still been an important part in storytelling.
Overall, compared to the first one, many aspects are lacking that makes the story not well written. However, it is enjoyable, got a lot of feels, and generally a good time. That's all I could say without spoiling the story.

"Sometimes, all it takes to fall in love is the courage to believe."
Such a sweet ending to a rather rough start to the adorkable couple, Tristan and Kylie! They are just the cutest! I still can't get over them hahaha!
It has been a while since I last read a teeny-bopperish novel and I admit I missed the feeling of giddiness and young love. When every sneaky glances with your crush is the happiest thing ever and stuff like that. Haha. MAYGANONGDRAMA?! And I am so glad to say that The Chase doesn't disappoint me at all. In fact, it surpasses my expectation. The twist is well-thought I did not see that one coming. And oh! Oh my gosh, can I just say how much I loved Tristan prom proposal to Kylie!!! SOBRANG SWEET I EVEN SHED A TEAR OR TWO!!!! SERYOSO. Hahahahaha! You should read it!!!
What else can I say but, well done @raindrops_! I am now a fan! I am looking forward to reading more of your stories in the future! And maybe you could sign my copies? Lol!
PS!! This comes with a playlist it is basically my Favorite-On-Loop-Go-To-Music-Of-All-Time playlist so it's safe to say that I absolutely loved and enjoyed it!! Go listen to it while reading. It's more fun that way and more kilig-inducing hahaha! :D
As much as I've expected with the story because it's really predictable. I was not even shocked that Erik was a two-faced jerk and the antagonist in the story. There's no remarkable scenes for me on both Part 1 and 2 but I did enjoyed reading them. I just felt and realized that I'm too old for this kind of story. Yet, I give an applause for the author on writing this.
5 stars for this!! tbh, yung first book hindi ko masyado nagustuhan pero ITOOO!! ARGHHH GRABEEE NAKAKAKILIG! ang galing mag narrate ng author! 🖤 this story is so good to read especially kung nag uumpisa kang magbasa ng mga english books. maiintindihan mo dahil hindi sobrang lalim ng mga words. sobrang wholesome rin ng story, walang spg na naganap so I RECOMMEND THIS STORY! it's worth to read! 👍
It got better. I read a book like this before called A and D and it was horrific, so I had low expectations for this book, but... it didn't suck as much as I thought it would, which earns itself another star.
