A great book about the series with some interesting facts about how the show is made. Just a shame it was published before the 2014 series could be included.
I really enjoy I'm a Celeb, and I'm fascinated by all the behind-the-scenes stuff they show us on Celeb Now on ITV2. So I had a very enjoyable couple of hours reading this. It was particularly good to see the map of the site, because the wide shots on TV mostly just show trees!
Brucey the Cockroach does get slightly tiresome as the narrator but thankfully he is interspersed with plenty of text from staff working on the show, and it really does give the inside story of the preparations and broadcast. There are also lots of photos.
And who knew that all the Celebs are sent a DVD and info pack as part of the pre-show negotiations? I was truly astonished to read this, given how much they moan once they're in the jungle.
But ... spoilers. I won't give away more. Lots of behind-the-scenes books are a bit rubbish but this one is definitely worth the price. Recommended.
