Actually wtf was this because I was cringing the whole way through. There was no tension, they literally only spoke one sentence to each other at a time because they were trying to avoid each other and suddenly THEY LOVE EACH OTHER?? FROM ABSO-FUCKING-LUTELY NOWHERE??? I was not feeling the chemistry, I was not feeling the pining, and I was not feeling the danger of a forbidden romance. Everything was just moving too fast and none of it made much sense, not to mention the weird kind of disconnect in the writing.

I sadly didn’t vibe with this a lot. The storyline is pretty good and combines some tropes that I really like. My issues, I guess, is the insta-love and the lack of depth to the characters. I didn’t feel connected to the story at all. I read the first 60% in one go, but it took me another 10 days to finally pick it back up and finish.

The ending felt a little rushed and I wanted more. Like more interaction between Lance and his brothers and ex. More to the ending and more expanded. It had potential but it felt like it ended rather abruptly. Other than that I enjoyed the book.

This is such a cute, fast pacing, binge worthy Christmas novella. I really enjoyed reading it & loved all the characters.
The relationship between the FMC & her parents was amazing! Unlike some of the books that turn the MCs parents a devil ones, or the ones that never want the happiness for their child (which I'm kind of sick of). This book really made that up for me 😍
& Lance!! Whewwww 😮💨 I imagined him just like Henry Cavill 🫢 and whenever he uttered a word or said "hm" Henry Cavill's voice was right inside my ears.🙂↔️🙂↔️🙂↔️🙂↔️

Honestly, the plot got me confused at times because things happened so quickly and then information that came up was just dropped again and everything evolved so fast 😂 but ultimately, the little moments of anticipation and toeing around each other, getting closer, made me feel so much!
Just like the plot, nothing about the romance was slow and while Lance’s and Kallie’s story could just as well have been told as a forbidden romance, slow burn story, it limited itself to small moments of concern and focused on the romance.
It might have helped me personally if Lance had acknowledged that he’d always had a forbidden interest the moment she showed up, but honestly, it was no deal breaker that their connection intensified so quickly.
With the goal of making it a novella, I personally feel like there were moments that could either have been explored further or alternatively left out. But ultimately, none of that took away from the giddiness and butterflies this book sparked in me.
Overall a very cute, cozy Christmas read and I want that too please 🖤

This was exactly what my soul wanted. It was the most perfect age gap, snowed in, holiday romance. Sweet but not sickeningly so. The spice was there but not overwhelming. The story started off right away pulling you in and making you feel heartbroken for Kallie. But no worries because daddy’s best friend, who happens to be a little over 20 years older and SO FINE, is there to take care of her.
I’m just under 80 pages so much happens and it’s beautiful to see this healthy relationship that blossoms and the support that comes with it.
I loved this sweet little novella! The only thing I wish is that I could have more… like maybe the brothers’ stories 😜

This was a quick read. It was very cute and sweet. I get it. It's only 92 pages, but I do feel it went by too fast. I needed more of Lance and Kallie. Lance is delicious, tho. I do love a good age gap book, and this hit just the right spot.

Wrapped In You was fantastic. The characters in this adorable Christmas novella are more than 20 years apart in age. Who would not want to spend time with their dad's hot best friend? I just wish there had been a bit more of Kallie, Lance, and Lance with his brothers. Although I am aware that it was a novella, I thought there could have been a bit more about his brothers in one more chapter. I admired Lance's kindness and concern he had for her. They had a strong chemistry that was undeniable.

Now we know how much I LOVE older men at this point it’s a part of my personality and Lance was like no other older man that I have read before, my daddy issues were running RIOT for him he is the pure definition of being a man - this man not loved Kallie like the truest form of a gentlemen but you cannot convince me that any guy under the age of 30 could daddy the way that Lance did, not only did he love Kallie like she is the most valuable thing on earth but that man knows what he’s doing in the bedroom and all I have to say is Kallie miss girl PLEASE let me steal your man or at least let me take him for a spin because in your words I too want to climb him like a tree 🌲

Awful. Great idea! Awful, awful execution 😖 I only finished it because it was a pretty short read and because at some point, it was so bad I was laughing and smiling.
There’s so little dialogue between the main characters that it makes absolutely no sense when all the sudden they’re hot for each other and in love 🙄🤦🏼♀️ clearly they’re meant to have known each other for a while, but there was nothing that happened that really gave that substance.
I literally couldn’t tell you much beyond what was very much surface level for either of them. Lance runs a bar and his friends with a guy named Robert. He’s got a couple of brothers. Kallie recently lost her job because of her boyfriend who cheated on her. Her father‘s name is Robert and her mother is Reba. Personality wise they were both pretty generic. Not sure if either of them has quirks or preferences, pet peeves, or prejudices 🤷🏼♀️ they’re just two people who shouldn’t want each other, but really do 🫤 Great…how original. And yet somehow, despite that, the author manages for there to be no angst or drama. I’m not sure how she managed to take tropes that usually bring quite a bit of angst, and completely sucked all of that out of it.

Okay, this just on FUCK ME UP, that's the way i'd sum up this stunning little read, absolutely fucking EXCEPTIONAL. Darling A. Rayne has NEVER put out a bad or disappointing book ever (and ive read a bit from her), this was so fucking good!!! I'm a freaking sucker for an age gap romance of any sort and this, this had it and it was a DAD'S BEST FUCKING FRIEND to boot!!! So much better, Lance could RUIN me (and I would say thank you), mind, body and soul! Plus I totally would do some UNSPEAKABLE things for and WITH this man.
Also, her mum? What a fucking Legend for real. I actually might be in love with her, lol. This story was absolutely incredible. The day you, @authora.rayne, release a bad book will be the day that I will mark down as sadness & depression because I love your writing, keep up the great work!!!! 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤

This was so cute! My 1st book from @authora.rayne
I loved how effortless this book was. The plot moved quick but you could feel the tension, build-up and finally the climax 😉 of the characters.
The only bad thing I could say is that for the amount of “burn” it could’ve had more spice, but that is just me. I love me some 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Otherwise this was just lovely and so realistic, I could actually see all of this happening. ☺️ Definitely will read more from this author.

This novella was a cute insta love story with a side of spice, age-gap, and forced proximity. Kallie went to her families cabin to escape her current reality and purposefully runs into Lance, her dad's HOT best friend. I wouldn't say that I really felt the Christmas vibes from this one though. It just took place during Christmas.
This story was fast paced and Lance and Kallie kept me turning the pages the entire time. These two trying to deny their feelings for each other was cute. But them caving and giving in to their desires for each other was oh so satisfying!
"One night. Only one night to show you how a man should treat a woman. One night to see how many times I can make you come. One night to break you and put you back together again before the sun rises."
This might have been my favorite lie out of Lance's mouth! I love that he truly thought that they could have just one night to get each other out of their system. I truly loved Lance though. He was the perfect grumpy cinnamon roll and I loved every single second of it!

I am LOVING age gap Christmas novels right now & this one is perfect! 🎄A.Rayne killed it AGAIN! I finished this book in less than 12 hours (I might need to get a life. But this book was worth it.) Something I don’t like is couples who just dance around each other and their feelings for 80% of the book. It just makes the book feel really drawn out. This book DOESN’T have that in it. You get so addicted to the characters and watching them fall for each other. Lance & Kallie are absolutely perfect and this story is just so heartwarming, with all that spice. 🔥 I absolutely can’t wait for more! Gimme all the hot dad’s best friends books. 🥵

The coziest, sweetest, Christmas novella. ♥️ I’m so obsessed. Small town, slightly forbidden romance, all wrapped up in a perfect bow. I LOVED Lance. He is my dream man. This little Christmas novella was everything. I was so obsessed with everything about this novel and I seriously need a prequel? Or a full length.
I love A Rayne’s books and I can’t wait for what she has up her sleeves next. Lance and Kallie are everything and more. I was absolutely obsessed!
Is it okay to f#ck my dad’s best friend? Kidding! Kind of! But seriously I loved this so much. If you need a good Christmas novella with spice then you need to read this one.
It was so homey and comfy I felt like I was there! Ugh I loved this! I needed it to be a longer story!

Such a good read!
This gave cozy vibes with drama woven throughout, if that makes any sense. 😂 She’s gotten out of a toxic relationship and just wants to relax in a cabin away from the fast paced life she’s led and the disaster that struck. Now, reunited with her dads best friend, sparks begin to fly. But will they allow their feelings about their age difference and the fact that he’s her dads best friend, get in the way of what they feel for each other? And could they have their happily ever after if her dad was to find out? - This is perfect for a snowy/cold holiday read! Spice level: 3.5/5.
