I'm an obsessive daydreamer. Lover of loud alternative music. I love to laugh until it hurts. Fall is my favorite season. Black is my favorite 'shade.' Strong believer in the saying: there is a reason for everything, therefore I search for 'marked moments' every moment of everyday...and I find them. Life is beautiful!

"Blood Warrior" by HD. Gordon I will be finding the next books in this series. It was a fast read and easy to understand. It wasn't super original, but it was entertaining. I do think some parts could have been cut short, because it dragged the plot in the middle.
"Rivulet" by Jamie Magee This one confused the hell out of me halfway through before I grasped the twist. It wasn't clearly explained. And without spoiling what the twist is, the author fails to explain exactly what balance was off and how it was being fought. It seemed like a good excuse to have characters disappear off screen for a few scenes. I can't say I liked it, but it wasn't bad.
"Switched" by Janelle Stalder This one was more than a little annoying. Charlotte was close to becoming Twilight-Bella annoying. I don't think there was enough conflict or risk in this story. Ludwig putting his greatest weapon among the people was really kind of dumb. He seriously didn't keep tabs on her? Really?
"Charmed" by Cambria Hebert This was probably the most mature story in the whole book, though a little cookie cutter. Male lead is a cocky, dangerous killer. Female lead is a nobody with bad eating habits. They meet and hate each other. How do they get together? I liked that we actually SEE the development of the relationship between Charming and Frankie. It still has it's flaws though. The Grim Reaper is a wimp. He's DEATH. Come ON.
I skipped the last two books. "Dark Waltz" was more of a summary of action and the dialogue was robotic-ly awful. "Female who is severely scarred emotionally/mentally and male has to make her accept him" opening scene in "Damaged" has never appealed to me. If I had to rank the books in the order in which I enjoyed them: 1.) Blood Warrior 2.) Charmed 3.) Rivulet 4.) Switched
Blood Warrior was SO AMAZING that I absolutely COULD NOT WAIT to read the rest of the series. The Alexa Montgomery Saga turned out to be my favorite series of books that I've EVER read. It was absolutely out of this world!
Rivulet was really good. I noticed that a reviewer had suggested reading other books by this author before reading Rivulet. That might have helped, since I found it to be a little bit confusing at times. I still liked it, and may read additional books in the series
Switch was my 2nd favorite of the books in this collection. It was REALLY GOOD. I ABSOLUTELY plan to read the next book in that series, too.
Charmed was very enjoyable, too. Since it was the 2nd book in its series, I took a look at the first book in the series (Recalled). I can't necessarily say that I plan to read that one. But, if additional Death Escorts books were to be released, I would like to read them.
Dark Waltz.. well..I couldn't seem to get past the writing style in the first few pages. But that might just be me. I may have to come back to that one at a later time and try again.
Damaged was really good, too. It was entertaining, with lots of cool fantasy/paranormal characters.
Loved it! I was introduced to so many new and amazing authors through this. I have since read the whole series to all of the books, and they are all amazing. Highly recommended!!!
