"Be my wife." No part of me should have accepted the demon's proposal, especially when it came with all of these strings attached. Being his wife, his queen. Except, there was a part of me that wondered... What if? What if the fates had been right, pairing us together? What if we were something... more? Wickedly Yours is a standalone Halloween novella featuring the marriage of convenience between a witch who loves to bake and a demon prince who falls in love with her. This is a steamy, open-door romance with a guaranteed HEA.

✎﹏ 𝙒𝙞𝙘𝙠𝙚𝙙𝙡𝙮 𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙨 starts off right where the first book in the duology, 𝙎𝙥𝙤𝙤𝙠𝙞𝙡𝙮 𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙨, ends. Seeing as I adored the first book, I couldn’t wait to dive right back into this world. I caught myself smiling & giggling a lot, just like I did with the first one. ✎﹏ I was surprised at how SPICY the spice was 🥵 Much more than the first book! Of course I’ll be adding Zain to my never ending list of book boyfriends. I can’t help, but to fall for a broody demon prince with shadow powers who will kill for his mate. 😮💨 I’m just a simple girl~ Everytime he called Luna “moonbeam” I swooned/was a pile of mush. I’m a sucker for a cute, non cringy nickname. ✎﹏ I love Luna & her personality, which is rare for me because so many of the FMC characters in witchy romance books annoy me. I love that Willow & Damien from the first book made a few appearances & that we got introduced to a new world with new side characters. I could read a whole series about all of these characters. I’m so sad to see this story come to a close.

omg, i was so terribly bored. but at least it did its thing and took me out of my romance slump. now, i'm craving a romance book i do connect with and end up loving.
I've been eagerly waiting to read Luna and Zain's story since Spookily Yours. It was totally worth the wait! One of my most anticipated reads this year, and it did not disappoint!
give a demon a glimpse of his mate and trust me that he will stop at nothing to get her attention-- even if that included a marriage and a kidnap lmao. seriously the grumpy prince of the demon king trying to win over Luna's affection was freaking amazing to see. Luna also didn't need that much persuation since she also dive in head strong.
this book is very faced pace with the trope of fated mates so is an easy read perfect for the spooky season! Zain + Luna = a fun spooky ride into a marriage of convenience trope.
Thank you Jennifer Chipman and Worldsmith Publicity for an eARC in exchange for my honest review! Tropes: 💫marriage of convenience 💫fated mates 💫forced proximity 💫demon x witch

Another cute and cozy paranormal romance in this series that is just perfect for the fall season! I really enjoyed how the hero and heroine met in the normal world and the heroine started falling hard before she even knew the hero intended to marry her. Then, she slowly learns about the demon world and who he is and what he wants from her. I do wish there was a bit more external plot throughout the whole book beyond their romance, but I had fun watching them fall in love and was intrigued with the villain at the end of the book and how they were going to beat him. The side characters in the demon world were fun and I really liked them and how they grew on the heroine! The sister friendship was great and I loved seeing the couple from book one! I definitely recommend reading Spookily Yours first and then picking this one up!
I have been anxiously awaiting this release since I read 𝑺𝒑𝒐𝒐𝒌𝒊𝒍𝒚 𝒀𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒔 last October! That book won my heart and I couldn’t wait to read Willow’s sister’s story.
This book was such a sweet & spicy fated mates story! It starts off with an instant attraction between Luna and Zain and it just ignites from there. He’s the crown prince of the demons and he needs her/her power to help him defeat his father. He never let himself dream that his fated mate would love him just as fiercely as he loved her.
Luna was such a strong FMC. She has avoided developing her magic for years because she’s scared of how much power she has. With Zain’s help she’s able to finally embrace her full powers.
Zain was DOWN BAD for Luna as soon as he met her. I loved how protective and devoted to her he was!
✨3.5 (rounded to 3 for GR) 🌶️2.5 📖~364 pages 📚Interconnected series with same cast of characters but different main couples 🎬Contemporary paranormal style romance ❓Would I Recommend? Yes [said neutrally]
✏️Review:
Wickedly Yours is Book 2 in the Witches of Pleasant Grove series by Jennifer Chipman. It's a contemporary-style paranormal romance that follows two supporting characters from the first book of the series. While this book gives their romance the time to shine, the couple from the first book make a few appearances here, given the nature of the relationship of both FMCs (they're sisters!)
I liked this one more than the first, not to say I didn't enjoy Book 1. The writing in this one felt more polished and overall stronger. But the two books were very similar in style, so I think if you liked the first, you'll at least like this one.
I also made the stupid mistake of procrastinating writing this review after reading, so this one will be short and sweet based on what I remember.
Trope/plot quick hits: 🧩 Witch FMC x demon prince MMC 🧩 Smalltown Earth and demon world settings 🧩 Marriage of convenience/marriage agreement-ish? 🧩 Sweet and spicy
Safety: 🦺 No OW/OM drama
Spice: 🔥Dirty talking 🔥Open door, explicit spice
Luna is a witch and baker, feeling lonely in both as she's watched her sister find potential love with someone who treats her like a queen, an equal. Little does Luna know that the queen title may soon apply to her in a whole different way...
Zain is a demon prince with a proposal - literally. He wants, no needs, Luna as his wife and queen; and not just his heart is on the line. Forces are at play that throw the pair together, but with time and patience, can a true love grow? Both Luna and Zain share an instant physical attraction to each other that's explored pretty early in the book. This connection makes Luna more amenable to Zain's proposal, more intrigued to follow this thread and see where it goes. Some part of her feels like it may be fate. It may be her chance at something more, more than just sister. Witch. Baker. All things she loves, but doesn't want to keep letting fully define her.
Luna and Zain's romance was very sweet overall. There weren't really any true forces driving them apart, and the one threat was dispatched pretty easily. So a lot of the focus was on the growing relationship between Luna and Zain. The romance is definitely the spotlight. And this is also full of spice, so don't let the sweetness fool you. Could some of the sweetness have gotten tooth-aching, some of it a little OTT, a lot dragged out? Yeah, I'd say that.
To end this review, let me talk about some of the trivial quibbles I had with this one.
🚩Page count For a "novella", this was way too long. I think this story could've been told in way fewer pages, as some of the scenes became repetitive or felt unnecessary.
🚩A more engaging story arc I would've appreciated more to the plot on this one. It seemed like there was a set up, but lost its way along the course of the story. Don't go into this one for worldbuilding or such, it's mostly just a cozy romance. And a nice October paranormal read in between more hardcore reads.

This was......okay. If you love smut then you would love this. This is best described as 80% smut and 20% literally everything else. I love the story line but there was none of it. The relationship was cute when they weren't... well, you know..
I skimmed the last 10 pages and was PISSED that there was an EXTENDED epilogue. Thank god that's over
The follow up to Spookily Yours and it was just as good. I finally got to read Luna and Zain's witch/demon romance and it never got to see a bookmark. Their relationship was so good and I loved all the time in the demon realm. I hope we see some of these other characters again.
i think i have more chemistry with a rock than zain and luna’s chemistry throughout this entire book. despite the improvement in plot compared to the first book, the romance is so flat. i’m sorry. i wanted to love this so bad but i just didn’t…
This book unfortunately made the list of worst books I read in 2025.
I’d recommend book one, but skip this one. Nothing about this book makes any sense.
It’s very insta lovey, very fast paced, chaotic and confusing.
It felt incomplete. Like scenes, dialogue, and paragraphs were missing.
The FMC and the MMC barely spoke to each other the whole story. It’s like the romance was forgotten about completely. They had sex, but never talked. They’re pretty much just strangers who are attracted to each other.
This is the plot: They fucked for 3 days and then she’s like, “You’re a demon! You lied to me!” (Um honey, you hardly ever spoke to him. He didn’t lie, you just didn’t get to know him.) And then he’s like “We don’t know each other, but leave your business and your sister behind and come live at my demon palace. Be my bride, and I’ll keep you safe.” And she’s like, “Of course, I’ll start packing!” And then she goes there, after giving up her entire life, and he ignores her all week. And then they get married. ?????????
Honestly, what’s going on? Nothing about this plot made any sense.
I came away from this book knowing absolutely nothing about either main characters, their personalities, or why they like each other.
And yet somehow their romance also has VERY high stakes, which also isn’t explained well.
These last critiques are nitpicky, but the “moonbeam” nickname he gave her is super weird to me.
And the male audiobook narrator does a horrible job when he reads the FMC, Luna’s, quotes. It sounds very childlike and creepy.
This is such a bummer, because I loved book one. And I like the concept of this, I just don’t think it was executed well.
Nothing happens. Who gives a shit about abandoning your whole life some for demon dick? He isn’t even being honest with you babe. FMC has more of a meltdown about the fact that he doesn’t wanna talk to her about him being upset than literally anything else like his random breeding kink, need to vampire fang her neck to give her an infinite supply of permanent perfume that smells like him (it’s giving werewolves), and literally hiding the real reason he lures her in.
They have the personalities of wet toilet paper. I have never met two more boring people in my entire life.
Also Hell is just lowkey some fairy realm or whatever because people can still die. Religion doesn’t exist. They swear using fates, godsdamn, goddess and gods. If religion is fake who the hell are you calling out to?
Is there an afterlife? What happens when you die? Why is there that ACOTAR thing about binding your lives together?
Also the demon king gets fucking melted through the power of light and love. I’m so sorry king, your usurper son was ass mad about you sending his mom behind the veil and maybe some spanking? Doesn’t mean he deserved to melt like the wicked witch of the west.
Also 75% of the way through and all I get is “omg big sister, I have to stay here because PLOT and I’m so happy I swear”- like what about him makes you happy about him apart from his dick trying to slap the fuck out of your cervix? I’d hate to be performing a Pap smear on her.
There’s also random reference to the fact that demons are uncultured. Why is Star Wars brought up randomly for her sister to be like “haha Padawan” and her man being like ???
Also we have no real idea about what Luna’s powers were, apart from light balls and glowing like a nightlight after amazing orgasms.
All the references to her being the moon- him calling her Moonbeam, the fucking cat being named Celeste, and all the on the nose bullshit- made me want to rip the moon out of the sky and throw it at her.
What did the dad want to do with Luna? Who knows! She’s suddenly in a well and whatever. Why not? Even the dad is like “here’s a map baby boy, go fetch quest your wife after playing Dark Souls in the woods.”
I buddy read this with a friend and she had a blast watching me scream into the void.
Also Luna occasionally thinks about her bakery and is like I don’t wanna be a wife and mom- to literally just become that at the end of the book.
Feminism wins each time.
Also you bio sisters marrying two bio half-brothers is a different level of weird.
Would not recommend this book unless you want characters dryer than fanfiction characters- and I’m talking Mary and Gary Stus and are allergic to plots and are good with everything being explained away by “the fates said so”, whatever that means.
This book has sent me to the After Afterlife because apparently Hell is just a stop on the way there
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
“And if I had to do it again—struggle through every hardship—I would, knowing you were waiting for me at the end.”
CUTE! I’m so obsessed with the spooky vibes, the mate troupe and the demon realm setting! I really didn’t expect this series to be so freaking spicy, but no complaints!
Like book one, this was really fast paced, but if you’re wanting a more “realistically” paced romance, maybe a book about a witch and demon prince falling in love isn’t for you lol. I love Luna and Zain, they mesh quite well and compliment each other <3 so adorable!
ARC REVIEW This was such a wonderful read. For once in my fantasy reading the FMC was an actual adult and made semi rash decisions. She didn’t dwell on unnecessary problems that arises in their relationship and if there was a problem then talked it out like adults.
Zain was so sweet and caring and you could tell that he loved her even if he didn’t know he was capable of it.
I do wish Luna was more involved with the wedding planning.
This was a sweet fantasy and a wonderful book if you are look to get into fantasy.
Did I just realize I like books with a breeding kink or am I just ovulating? All I’m saying is, if my man said to me in bed the things Zain Prince of Demons said to Luna, you’d have to take me out back like Old Yeller.
JENNIFER CHIPMAN holly i don’t think i’ve ever been so invested in a book. i literally finished this within a snap of a finger. QUICKER THEN ZAIN IS ABLE TO TELEPORT…
everything from luna and willows relationship to the little snippet we get of spookily yours in this book, little bits of Willow and Damien while being introduced to Luna and Zain <333
i cannot express how much i love Zain like don’t even get me started. the way he treats Luna, like reading about him warmed my heart. the things he does for Luna, just being able to read about his pov and getting him to understand the way he acts and how he thinks. HOW HE CARES FOR LUNA!!! always asking if she’s happy or if she wants to return, even knowing that it’ll destroy him being without her. ZAIN THE MAN YOU ARE. moonbeam……*faints*
and Luna literally i’m so jealous of her. not just her relationship with Zain and Willow have her do it for you. but the general way she is, even though everything she goes though she still shine bright like i aspire to be like her. and how she is when the doors are closed, both her and zain. i could use some of that heat my life. THE SPICE IN THIS BOOK, Jennifer, i was not expecting this after reading almost all of your books, i thought i had a good idea of the spice i was getting in this book. BUT NOPE. every single scenes was like GAPSING JAW DROPPING HANDS DOWN SHAKING. reading this book i’ve discover a lot of things i didn’t know about myself….
