Lillith had accepted the slow life at Shadowhaven. Once owned and showed off as a prized possession of the Blackwood family, it now only stood in the middle of the nowhere as a sanctuary to trapped ghosts. Lillith never minded that. After losing her parents to a tragic car accident, she knew that she just needed to move far away from the city life.
Damien has been the protector of Shadowhaven for as long as he can remember. A made demon because he sacrificed his life to save his family, now he roams aimlessly in the manor until he sees the new owner, a raven-haired girl with a knack to smoke venture in and change the place. He’s intrigued but he’s more than ever aware of the fact that something dark was lurking in Shadowhaven that he needs to keep at bay.
Their chemistry soon forges into unyielding passion and trust that helps them unravel greater forces who wanted to break free. Will their love and companionship survive?

Nightmares caress is so good. If you liked deaths obsession you'll absolutely love this one 🖤🫶🏻. Very spicy 🖤 but also has a bit of supernatural mystery as well. Damien is definitely one of my favorite book boyfriend. I wish the book was longer but still a great read.
Love a book that has a Playlist to go with it. Love the characters of Lilith & Damien. Not a bin fan of the writing style and grammatical/spelling errors on each page. Also the ending felt rushed.
I only got through 7% of this book before I had to DNF. The spelling and grammar errors are so frequent, it’s too distracting for me to actually get into the story. One sentence will be written in present tense, and the very next past tense. Also, the repeated overuse of stating the FMC name drove me nuts.
Loved this book. Loved having a curvy fmc who was comfortable with herself and what she wants in the bedroom. Who doesn't love a shadow daddy? We have witches and demons working together and also one of them being our bad guy. Definitely going to reread this book soon.
A paranormal romance with a strong FMC and empowering women. Involved are demons, witches, ghosts/trapped souls, and so much more. A good amount of spice, spooky, and suspense to keep you enthralled and wanting more. Definitely recommend especially for fall coming up and for those who love darker books.
So I don't know anything about this author, but the book was very clunky. There was no flow between scenes, lots of grammatical errors, wrong words used, etc.
Perhaps it was just rushed and not formally proof read? The idea was good, but writing lacked. Like one sentence they were in the house, next she was in a bar? Overall I didn't enjoy it, but I finished it.
This was a very sweet book. I did enjoy it. I was hooked from the very beginning. MFC and MMC were awesome. But the spice 🔥 was 3/5 there were some good scenes tho. Though I feel as though it was a little rushed. Just my opinion. What I didn't expect was the adding the MFC history of it being magic and witches. Though it was a little scary and spooky I gave it 3 star because of the villain. With the broken mirror and the portals, that was a good idea but I kind of wished the battle effect didn't drag so long. It seemed like 3 chapters were about closing the portal to save the town. Like no answers were being found. And the other reason was the ending. Spoiler there is no HEA! and man I really wanted it for the two main characters. I was sad when the MMC sacrificed himself as he got sucked into the portal. Like damn. I wanted to see if they could release him from what he was bound to and maybe turn him back into a human or him just stay a demon. But not be bounded or stuck to protect the house. But other than that I really did enjoy it. Just not as much as I hoped. But if there is a second book maybe there's a HEA in there.

This book has potential but in my opinion it is really badly written. There are so many spelling mistakes and grammar errors that it unfortunately made it very difficult to read.
So much emotion in this book, well worth the read but because prepared to have a box of tissues with you also, especially at the end, was not expecting that. My most favorite part was when Lilith defends love against the warlock
Carla, please girl hire someone to edit and proofread your books. If you already have someone doing it, FIRE them and get someone new! You could hardly enjoy the book due to the amount of spelling errors and literary inconsistencies. I wish we saw more character development with the characters as well. I had a hard time connecting with them because they felt so one dimensional. I also can’t tell what time frame this book was set in. She lives in some sort of castle near New Orleans, however she uses modern language and dresses super modern as well, which in my opinion does not fit into a rustic, old castle setting very well. I really wish we got more depth to the story. The ending felt very rushed and whimsical at times with the whole fighting demons and witch’s on brooms in the sky. Carla, if you ever decide to rewrite this story, fix the errors, and spend more time on character and plot development I WILL be your biggest fan, because I truly see the vision and believe this story has potential. As for now I will leave you with this review and hope we get a better version of this story another day. 🩷

I liked the story itself, however there seemed to be a problem with the editing. I downloaded the book in the middle new as it was updated. Nevertheless it wasn't completely fixed as chapters were not formatted as such and at the end of the book you could find these chapters again. And don't get me started on the ending. It didn't have to end so badly if the final solution had been tackled way earlier. Lana should have just come forth earlier🙈
Initially I considered giving this book 2 stars, but I really enjoyed the ending so I knew I had to throw that extra one on there. Decent characters and plot. The author also has great taste in music. With all of that being said, they need to hire an editor for future works. The typos are so frequent that it really takes you out of the story. I believe the potential is there but the lack of editing ruins the experience for most readers.
I had to DNF this. It was really hard to focus on the story with the excessive amounts of spelling mistakes and grammatical errors. It's very clear that there was no investment made in editing. If this had been an alpha or beta read, I might have pushed through. Unfortunately, this is a completed book and it just wasn't polished before publishing.
If I could give this less than one star, I would. I am deeply concerned about the mental health of everyone who has rated this book 5 stars. This book was a hot mess from start to finish. Terrible writing style, super repetitive and SO MANY grammatical errors it is insane. I hope the author takes some kind of writing classes before she ever dares to pick up a pen again.
Only a few pages in to this book and I had to put it down. The spelling mistakes and grammatical errors were making me cringe. Very disappointing as I love the premise of the book.
DNF at 16%. So many grammatical mistakes and so clunky it was hard to read. Absolutely zero character development and then they’re just getting busy? No thanks. Would be 0 stars if I could.
This book follows Lillith, who inherits a castle (Shadowhaven) after the death of her great grandfather and Damien, the protector of Shadowhaven who is a demon.
The Shadowhaven castle is said to be haunted around the town. It holds ghosts who are trapped in the house until an unfortunate incident sets them free. This sets free a source of evil who wants revenge on the town for trapping them. With all this going on, Lillith and Damien's relationship continues to strengthen. Will their love and companionship survive?
I really enjoyed this book and I'm glad to have chosen it as my first 2025 read, it had spice, a good story, playlists and a cute but dark romance, also a little supernatural mystery! It's just a shame theres a few spelling and grammatical errors.
