I have thoroughly enjoyed this set of books. Each story is unique. Meeting the people, learning with them as they grow into loving men and women, and living through their stories has been an enjoyable experience. An experience I'd recommend to anyone interested in this genre.

Given how much I liked the first two books in the series, this was a disappointment.

It started off well, with Leslie trying to teach Grady how to be a regular human being--he's rich, he's handsome, he was raised without love, he's a mess. And while the fallout from that is portrayed with a reasonable amount of reality and compassion, I just kept thinking, "Leslie's in over her head." Not because she wasn't capable of handling Grady--but because she shouldn't have to. The amount of emotional labor on her part in this story is staggering. Grady eventually puts in a small share as well, but that leads to my second major issue.

Adoption. Leslie's infertility slams them both in the face toward the end, because she can't "give" him children. And adoption doesn't come up until they've already broken up over it, and Grady gets sent to talk to an adoption counselor by one of his obviously-more-intelligent friends? It's a big deal that Grady has to have a moment where he sees something and realizes that found family can be more valid than blood family, and so he can get over the idea of raising a child that, strictly speaking, isn't "his."

Now, I know that's a sore point for some people, and men especially bear the brunt of this stereotype. But is Grady really so emotionally stunted, and Leslie so ashamed of her perceived failing, that neither of them even breathe the word "adoption" as an alternative to standard child-bearing? Do they really have to break up over her infertility first, and then the man gets to have an epiphany and come back and smooth everything over with the option of adoption?

Give me a freaking break.

I purchased a copy of Grady's Wedding by Patricia McLinn in the three book series the Wedding Series. This review is given freely.
Grady has become dissatisfied with being a player and sets his sights on Tris' co worker, Leslie. Broken childhoods, Maryland and Virginia history, caring interfering friends, learning to love, share feelings, trusting,sterility, adoption, and unconventional families are just a few of the topics in this poignant full length novel with a happy ending. I loved seeing the changes in Grady, Leslie and April

I really had high hopes that this book would finally make the series worth reading. That was not the case Leslie is a complete mess and an idiot. You don't hang out with someone and not tell them you cannot have children. Grow up!! She was completely disturbing and a huge disappointment. Grady seemed like a Saint in comparison.

This is the third book in the series I downloaded as a box set. This one was not quite as interesting in some ways as the other two, probably because the main character had been presented pretty unfavorably as a minor character in the other two books. On the other hand, the redemption story of Grady’s learning the power of love gave the story a little extra interest.

Nice addition to the serjes

I enjoyed the characters and the setting, I lived in Alexandria, Virginia and loved everything but the traffic. Grady ended up being much more than a handsome face, the author writes about well and her characters have some depth. These books are light and entertaining, and I want more.

"Grady's Wedding" by Patricia McLinn is the 3rd book of the series Wedding. Though the series was written in the early 1990's the first three books could have been written today. Grady and Leslie's story is my favorite because both lead characters have preconceived ideas about friendship vs love.

Each one gets better

I have read quite a few of Patricia m link's various series, and after each one I keep thinking that one was fantastic. So, it is obvious that she is such a fantastic writer, every one is the greatest. So happy I came across her books. She has written quite a few so I still have many to look forward to. Brady's Wedding I recommend highly.

What a great ending to this trilogy! The obvious playboy has hidden pains as does the woman he has fallen for. When Grady realizes money can't bring you happiness, he must look for a different way to journey to his loves' heart~
