An epic end to a grand story arc... At long last, the Moroaica is defeated.

A good read, but I find some things disturbing though. I'm pretty sure that Caina should have convinced everyone of her innocence. Also, the Moroaica was defeated way too easily, come on! The greatest sorceress in the world wielding unimaginable arcane powers is rendered useless by just one death? Bah! It doesn't make sense to me.
I expected Caina to come to be in possession of some secret super weapon that she'd use against the Moroaica... Not just plain luck!

Well, it was a wonderful read. A really epic adventure.

The Ghosts book 9 and last. Spoilers ahead for earlier volumes. . .

The Moroaica's grand plan is coming to fruition, and she sent her two lackeys to stop Caina for good. Both opt for plans to are as much character assassination as assassination, and many people die. Her friends and allies do not believe -- those who survive.

But Caina and Corvalis must work around the trouble they caused to get to the plan and stop it. It involves the Sage who comes back from the dead, predictions, jumping from a roof, a man who's certain she killed his son, ways to stop certain forms of necromancy, discoveries that a plan in an early work did succeed and more.

This is the final book in the Ghost series, although Caina does continue with the Ghost in Exile books.
I really have had enough of Sicarion and Moroaico, so ending this storyline and moving on to something new wasn’t a problem. However, I wasn’t particularly happy with this book. I didn’t like the 'Framing Caina' storyline in the first half of the book and I thought the ending was particularly cruel; I’m beginning to wonder whether the author really has some psychological issues.

Wow, what a great book. Moroaica and Sicarion are out to finally destroy everything and start by getting Caina blamed for multiple deaths, her life goes downhill from there as she tries to stop them. Some very unhappy results though

Dear Jonathan, well I finished the Ghosts Book series and have already read the series Ghost in Exile. Both series were incredible, full of action and excitement. Your characters and imagination are outstanding and exciting to read. Thanks for many hours of entertainment.

Unbeknownst to Caina, Sacarion has obtained a mask that enables him to appear as whomever he wishes. He rampages through the Ghost circle, masquerading as Caina. Her close friends do not believe it to be her but the regional Circlemaster puts out an order for her to be killed on sight. So not only does Caina have Sacarion to deal with but he and Ranarius are competing to see who can find and kill her first. Ranarius has been given the ability to possess others and die innumerable times.

The Emperor will be sailing to New Kyre to establish the truce between the two governments.

Talekhris knows that the Moraica will be at New Kyre to perform the ritual that will destroy mankind. He at long last has figured out how to kill her so that she stays dead. He, Caina and Corvalis confront her and Caina loses all that she holds dear.

Enjoyed...

I enjoyed the story line and character developments as well as the cultural changes as the lead character managed to survive the challenges faced in each book of the series. The plot line was smooth and creative.
My reason for dropping the rating down one star? I continued to find sentences missing a word. The actions and interactions between characters kept me reading. I still found those missing words irritating. Don't know if these are due to fact author/editor or due to bad printing. I didn't make notes on what page and paragraph line each is on but I can.
Normally I use Kindle Unlimited only; with this series O bought each novel. I look forward to reading more, hopefully with all the words.

Such a cruel world for Caina Amalas. I would have given up, but that would be the end of the books ;) I hope the following series will bring some hope to her poor, miserable life filled only with pain and despair.

What a conclusion

The author brings old characters together for the final conflict. The story builds very quickly and is hard to put down, the ending doesn't disappoint. I have enjoyed all 9 books about Caina.

This is really the culmination of the conflict between the protagonist and the overarching antagonist. For all the "happy endings" given to all the books, the ending of this one is disappointing.

An Outstandingly Creative Series

Moeller is a story teller without peer and Ghost is the best of his I’ve read. And I’ve read the series twice to be sure I didn’t miss anything!

Get this series

This book has kept me up several nights, not because it's gory, scary or anything like that but it definitely gets your heart racing and you just can't put it down.
All the books in this series could use a bit of going over for syntax and editing errors but most folks wouldn't notice them.
Caina is not your normal heroine, but she does what needs to be done no matter her feelings or personal hardships. And there are more than anyone should have to endure over a lifetime, much less eleven years.
Get this series and lose some sleep too!

I thought this was a well written ending to the original Ghosts series, although very fast paced and seemed a lot shorter than some of the others. I was sad about Halfdan and Corvallis, I'm not sure why both had to die and leave Caina both alone and exiled - I know this leads onto the Ghost Exile series but a little glimmer of a happy ending for her would have been nice.

I think an established where the characters grow and change needs to shake things up or it gets stale. This book definitely shook things up.
