I really took a week to read it. But, I really enjoyed this book.
1. For some reason, I am always surprised to find out that a big celebrity wasn’t really an overnight success.
2. I’m always amazed at how much work goes into recording an album, from composing the songs, to the musical arrangements, to the actual production.
3. I love finding out which actors were considered for famous movies. Elvis Presley opposite Streisand in “A Star Is Born”? Actually?
4. There weren’t really many surprises about Streisand herself. She is really very talented. I think she got away with her behavior because of her talent and maybe justified it because she maybe felt she was asserting herself into a primarily patriarchal profession.
