Letting Go
A nasty breakup isn't going to stop Sarah from getting what she wants. And what she wants is her too hot boss with his bad-boy image and aloof attitude.
The last thing Jake ever expected was that sweet little Sarah would make a play for him. For months, he's kept to himself and bit his tongue about her less than stellar boyfriend. Now that she's given the green light, he's not stopping until he gets what he's been imagining since she walked into his bar.
The fires of passion might just be what they need to soothe both their hungry bodies and souls.
This is a short story (approximately 12,000 words/40 pages).

After leaving the frozen tundra of the north, Madison was more surprised than anyone with how much she has enjoyed living in the desert. Seeing as she had stated on more than one occasion how much she hated the heat, it was an odd move. But it seemed her hatred for sub-zero temps and ice, or really the things that ice could do, won out in the end.
When she’s not writing, she’s enjoying time with her family. Madison and her family frequent festivals in the area, as well as local cultural events, and spend time with family in the area. In the summer she is most likely to be found in the pool with the family and in the winter by the fireplace. Since both her children are autistic, days can be a little chaotic but with her husband beside her, there’s nothing she can’t handle. Luckily he is also an author and able to share in all the activities (and chores) special needs kids require.

Ok this is a super short novella from Madison Stevens. But it is also bargained priced so I didn’t feel ripped off buying this one. It could have been a full length novel. The characters were great and there was lots of potential for a longer story line. But the big plus with this novella that it did come across as a complete story. It is the first in the Road House series and all three books can be read as standalone books.
Sarah is really attracted to her boss but has a longterm boyfriend. When her boyfriend dumps her, Sarah jumps at the chance to show Jake how she feels. Jake came across as a really sweet, tough guy. I liked how he dealt with Sarah’s sleazy ex. Madison Stevens writing style is very easy reading. She is very good at building the sexual tension and flirting between the two main characters. In a short amount of time she introduces an interesting cast of characters and Jake and Sarah’s developing relationship. Sure it moves fast. But then it’s short. My verdict? Great quick, steamy read.
After reading the next in the series, I would really like to read a full length book by Madison Stevens I think there is so much potential for a great author.
