Finding My Way

Finding My Way is a contemporary novel about - yep, you guessed it - finding your way. Told from the POV of Emma, Seth and Nick we get to see three different stories that overlap as their paths cross. With plenty of laughs, love, friendship and a huge helping of "WHO WILL SHE CHOOSE???" Megan Kieth has written a story that will capture your attention and leave you needing more.
The first chapter had me hooked straight away. Emma kept zoning out on the world around her - no matter who she was talking to - and day dreaming of sex, sex and more sex. This had me laughing a lot because i myself have a tendancy to go in to my own world, and because Emma just seemed like a real nympho and you wouldn't typically expect that of her character. Dirty mind aside, she had gone through a break up with her long term boyfriend and she hadn't yet moved on. she wasn't really living her life and after she finds out that her ex is now seeing someone, she finally decides that now is the time.
Enter Seth. The gorgeous collegue that has been the center of her naughty thoughts since he started working there 3 months ago. He's drop dead gorgeous and incredibly sweet. But maybe too sweet for me. I guess i like to have abit of drama but Seth was so . . . safe. He was all about the hearts and flowers and while i do love that, i need abit of excitment. He was so, so caring and especialy to his little sister who suffered nightmares due to her past and my heart competely melted seeing him with her. I really did love Seth as a character but he wasn't the only guy after Emma . . .
Nick works at the train station that Emma uses to get to work so he sees her almost every day but Emma doesn't notice him until she finally realises that she needs to get over her ex. Nick is a man whore. Plain and simple. He not only works the booth at the train station but he's also a DJ at various nightclubs so he's never short on offers from the ladies, and he never turns them down. I was so torn over NIck because i could tell thaat he had feelings for Emma but he was such a slut!!! I did really like him though. He was funny and underneath it all he had a heart a gold.
I was so undecided pretty much the whole way through the book about who i wanted Emma to be with. Both guys had their good and bad points and i will admit that very briefly i actually wanted her to get back with her ex but shhhh. I would have rated this book higher but for me, it was just too long! After reading for an hour i was only 9% in and was a little put off by the fact that it was 521 pages long. Don't get me wrong, i love books in legnth but this just seemed to be too long and for a while i struggled with that but once i got past 50% and saw that the end was in sight, i really got back in to it again and enjoyed it.
Emma does date one of the guys in the book (no, i'm not saying who) but by the end, all three have found their way on their own and it is left open for book 2. And guess what?? I finaly decided which guy i love most!! So Megan Kieth, please PICK NICK. I look forward to reading the sequel and i really, really hope that she picks Nick!!

Before I give you my opinion on this book, I must make a point clear. I was a beta reader for this book. I read the copy before the paperback release, which has been revised and therefore this review is based on the beta copy. That being said, there were no changes to the story as far I know, only grammatical changes.
Finding My Way is the first novel from Megan Keith. It tells the story of a young woman who is completely lost in her personal and professional life and only started to realise the extent of it after a break up that happened eleven months ago. Emma is full of regrets, she wishes she went to university instead of going straight into the workforce and breaking up with her supposed soul mate Josh. She finds herself in a rut because her best friend Kat is getting married and the whole old gang is brought back together for wedding, continually reminding her of Josh and what happened, the good and the bad.
Then she hears that Josh has been dating someone else and it’s the final straw, Emma decides to move on, to the relief of Kat. There is a marked difference in Emma that is noted by two very attractive men, Seth and Nick, who see a beautiful woman they each want distinctly different things from.
Seth is a co-worker and embodies everything that Emma wants to achieve professionally. He went to university and is now on the verge of his dream job in the IT field. He is biding his time until he gets the call that a spot is open. His personal life is a mess; his younger sister is having nightmares and his best friends/roommates are acting up. One roommate is addicted to playing games and the other roommate is never home and when he is, acts very quiet and is unwilling to share where he disappears to. Seth wants to change his situation and decides he will move out and find a partner and thinks that Emma is perfect. However she does not seem to notice him until Seth makes his intentions clear. Unfortunately, Emma is involved with another guy who is his polar opposite and only offers want she needs for now. A rebound relationship cannot be a long term relationship.
Nick is in his late twenties and never wanted to go to university. He wanted to become a DJ and he is on his way to becoming a well-known one. However, he has to pay the bills and works at a newspaper stand in the train station. His Greek father disagrees with his son’s path and wishes that he was more like his best friend Dan who went to university to become an accountant. Nick is a manwhore—putting it lightly. He notices the ladies and they notice him and he’s willing to help them when they are pretty. When Emma smiles at him while thinking about Seth as she arrives at the train station to buy a ticket, everything changes.
Three point of views, two guys, one girl, and one common story; it’s only just the beginning and I want the next book now. Write faster, Megan! I love the setting, the places used, and the characters. Each of them have hit a crossroad and while this is Emma’s book, the guys and the other secondary characters are not bystanders. Each of them provides input to the main problem and in the end we get a wonderful debut book from author who has become a personal favourite of mine.

The first thing that I have to mention is that I LOVE the cover of this book. Something about it really appealed to me. I want that freaking outfit and I want the damn body to pull it off! :D
I absolutely enjoyed Megan Keith's debut novel, Finding My Way. It's an appropriately titled book as three characters stories are interwoven as they try to figure out their paths in life.
Emma is trying to move past her breakup with Josh, her boyfriend of seven years. While preparing for her best friend Kat's wedding, she learns that Josh has begun dating. Once she discovers this, she finally resigns herself to the fact that they'll never get back together, and it's time for her to really move on.
Seth, Emma's charming and definitely attractive co-worker, is tired of the dating scene's revolving door. With a good job, and a great family example, he's ready to meet the girl of his dreams, settle down, and start a family of his own. Emma catches his eye and he's quick to ask her out. Emma's quite smitten with him as they fall into an easy, sweet, and very compatible relationship.
Nick's the playboy that works at the train station that Emma uses every morning to get to work. He's used to women falling all over him, so he begins a friendly flirtation with Emma. Something about her makes him want to be different, but he just can't put his finger on it.
Both men couldn't have been more different, so Emma's nerve-wracked when she finds herself attracted to them both. Seth's the sweet guy who makes your heart flutter, the guy you bring home to Mom, the guy who wants to commit. Nick's the self-described player who doesn't believe in dating.
Who do you choose? And how to you follow your head when your heart's moving in a different direction?

If you've ever had to choose between two men, then you'll certainly connect with this story and Emma's emotional journey in determining how to follow her heart. Having conflicting emotions for two very different men could cause anyone to go a little crazy. Megan Keith puts a new twist on the love triangle as she shows all three POVS, so we can get into the minds of each character. I really enjoyed that aspect because I was able to connect a lot deeper with each one and their relationships.
I'm normally not a huge fan of love triangles. Why, you ask? I usually find that I'm so overwhelmingly on one guy's side, and in this book, I felt no differently. To be honest, I was devastated by the end of this book. I wanted to scream and cry. I had to take a step back and realize that Emma had to follow her heart. The heart wants what the heart wants, reader be damned! :) I can't win them all, I guess! And while my heart was torn in two, I found myself still okay with it. There's a lot left in store for these characters, so I'm definitely along for the bumpy ride!
One thing that was really fun about this book was learning a bunch of cool Australian slang and lingo. The writing was fantastic, and I'm completely impressed with this debut novel. There isn't exactly a cliffhanger here, but the book ends with a big question: Where do they go from here? I, for one, can't wait to find out.

2.5-3 Crazy Long Stars!!
I stopped reading this when I first started as I just couldn't take the whole love triangle thing even though everyone claimed its not really a love triangle well it pissed me off so I stopped and told myself I would go back and try to finish it off one day.That day was a few days ago after finishing an amazing book I decided to get back to this one. And since my break things had changed because at the start I don't even know why but I liked Seth and I was annoyed that Emma had feelings for both the guys and so on.Coming back to it I was like..I liked Seth? Why the fuck did I like him? what a pushy pussy..ohh he annoyed me.
And with these situations when the main female character has feelings for more than one character I have a feeling called fukin-pissed-off! I hate it and I instantly hate the female character wanting to punch her in the tits and make her understand that she is confusing me and should have feelings for only one character. I AM JUST A SIMPLE GIRL WHY DYA HAVE TO MAKE THIS HARD ON ME?
Nick was the only good thing about this book he wasn't settled down didnt have a great job but he was fun and loving. Emma and Nick needed to spit out the truth and be upfront about their feelings oh it would have saved sooo much time and then we could have got rid of Seth right?
After falling for Nicks character, I was totally uninterested in Seth's character. This book has all three characters POVs I dont usually mind more than one POV but this became too much for me. Whenever it got to Seths POV I was like...
By the end I was like phew okay so on to the next book because I do want more Nick.Lets hope things get better ;)

Overall, it was a great book. The storyline was not centered around 1 person but 3 individuals trying to find their way. The beginning of this story was a bit sluggish until the meeting of Emma, Seth, and Nick.
The description of Seth reminded me of the actor, Oliver James and was a safe character for me. He had a safe job, a safe family, and his mannerism made him safe. It think he was too safe and really tried to please everyone - his boss, Tahlia, his parents, and definitely Emma. I think he was centered on perfection and turned to a child when not achieved. I love his friends and would have loved to see a little more interaction with Seth, Max, Kevin and Rebekah.
I loved how Emma started this book as a lonely single girl and ended as a confident woman! You can see the transformation professionally and emotionally. She grew with her career and her friends and it was amazing! She had some great friends in Kat, Luke, Jake and even Josh. It was great to read about her story and decisions that shaped her into this beautiful, confident, independent woman. I can't wait to see what your other story will be and how she will weave into it.
Nick, Nick, Nick! Oh. My. Goodness. The one person that popped on my head was Dean Geyer. The eyes!! Above the physical, he was the biggest transformation I read in this story. You see it from the bathroom scene with the red head to fighting for Em - player turned boyfriend. The one thing that I noticed was that he was afraid of change. He always referred to Em as a friend and never divulged his intentions nor his feelings. I do love how he credited his change of becoming a better man because of Emma. I know there will be more growing before he and Em can be together!
I completely fell in love with this story line! It's not just about Emma but Seth and Nick and how they start this book shy and inverted and grow through this story. A wonderful read!

chose to review this book as it is written by an Aussie author. What can I say…. I absolutely loved it, though it left me wanting more….
I had a big smile on my face whilst reading it. Author Megan Keith has written such a great first book, full of fun banter between the characters. I loved seeing the different POV’s from the main characters-Emma, Seth and Nick.
Emma Taylor has survived somewhat from coming out of a long term relationship, seeing her ex has moved on and being told to get back out there, especially by her best friend Kat, she finally decides to do just that, even though it has been a year since then. What happens with a colleague at her work and with a guy she meets at her local train station will have you wanting to keep on reading…..or at the very least not want to put your kindle down!!

The too & fro of the different POV’s are interesting throughout…I loved seeing Seth and Nick’s take on things and the way Emma is perceived by them. Nick is a bit of a player…Seth is the guy you want to bring home to your parents. Both guys are really HOT and her friends say that she should go for both and live a little!! I thought Kat was a great friend!! Emma has to help her with her wedding which helps break up some indecisions about the men in her life.
Although Emma does mention her regrets & reminisces about things in the past, it seems she is finally trying to find her way in life!! I was so relieved to know there is another book coming out and am looking forward to reading it. Really wish it was out NOW!!

I really liked this book .. Nice book by an Aussie author.... It was nice to recognise the names of the places being so close to home.. It was nice... Comforting...
The choices Emma was making sounded so familiar .. Two men each different ..one, Seth who she works with and ogles every day and Nick , a guy who she just notices working at at the train station ticket booth ... Both good looking.. There were times in the book I thought noooo don't go that way , go the other , then when she does go the way I thought I right the right guy says the dumbest thing ever .. EVER!!!!!!
I have my opinion of both men , I am happy of the ending but after reading a preview to book 2 it looks like that ending might change...
This book was written from three different POV, Emma being the central character , Nick and Seth which I loved ...it was nice to see what they were all thinking at the time or doing in their lives...which is probably why I liked one guy over the other more at the start...
I think in the end Em has grown and found herself from the beginning of the book , the journey she goes through is something a lot of women go through at least once in their lives.. I know I did...
The choices Emma was making sounded so familiar .. Two men each different ..one, Seth who she works with and ogles every day and Nick , a guy who she just notices working at at the train station ticket booth ... Both good looking.. There were times in the book I thought noooo don't go that way , go the other , then when she does go the way I thought I right the right guy says the dumbest thing ever .. EVER!!!!!!
I have my opinion of both men , I am happy of the ending but after reading a preview to book 2 it looks like that ending might change...

I was a little late to the game picking up Finding My Way and I’m kicking myself for it now. What I loved about this book was how…relatable…it was. I FELT Emma. She’s a twenty-three year old who has made the difficult decision to end a long-term relationship. That’s never easy. What I love about Megan’s writing is how she was able to portray that just because you’re the one to end a relationship, doesn’t mean it hurts you any less.
Having said that though, our girl Emma has options. Oh boy, does she have options. Deliciously, swoony options.
The title fits this book perfectly as it focuses on three individuals who are trying to find their way. Readers are able to walk the journey with the characters and see them transform. Seeing their flaws and watching them struggle made me care about the characters. I felt like I knew them. I felt like I was friends with them. I felt like I could BE them. Again – totally relatable!

LOOOOOVED it. I urge all you readers to get this one. Was a hard book to put down. With this been Megan's first book I think she did very well and it is a credit to her. SO PLEASE help Megan out by buying this one. You won't be disappointed. Well done Megan, and I look forward, and can't wait for your next one. Hope it's out soon.

I enjoyed this book a lot.
It was a very relaxing read from beginning to end and it kept me entertained throughout the book.
Megan Keith has written a book that has interesting characters and a good story line that moved along at a very good pace.
It was nice to be able to read a book that you could just relax with and let it take you away to another world.

Such a great read with an ending to each of the characters stories that I never expected, can't wait to start reading crossroads. It is a good read for young adults and it really spoke to me about making our way through life and not letting others control us but letting ourselves control and create what we do and become in life. :)

Fantastic reading from the start, just could not put it down. Loved the way it viewed the thoughts of the characters and it made me think about times gone buy. Really hope that the 2nd novel is released very soon, for I cannot wait to read it. Very enjoyable.

This is a really great book, great characters and great story. It was nice getting to know the characters and spending time with them. The author really makes you feel close to the characters and get to see who they are on the inside.... I like that!!!!!! don't miss this one!!!!!

"It’s time for me to find my own way."
Wow! Are you sure this is Megan Keith’s debut novel? First of all, I just love the cover of this book. I think it is a perfect picture of how I would view Emma. Megan did such a wonderful job of creating a great story with characters I grew to love and relate to throughout their journey.
Emma is in a rut. She is just living life day by day with no direction in mind. Her love life is non-existent since her break up with her long-time high school sweetheart and her split ways eleven months ago. She is working at a comfortable, yet dead end job when she should have gone to college instead.
I think because Emma and Josh, her ex, were together for so long, she doesn’t know what to do in life after their relationship ended. It’s one of those things that happens all the time, you fall in love at a young age (13 in this case) and stay together for so long because you become comfortable and dependent on the other person. You get used to having that person around, and the relationship seems to define you as a person. Then you leave for college or you get a job and you begin to grow apart as you grow up. I think this was hard for Emma because all she has ever known was her with Josh. When they broke up, she seemed to stay in a state of numbness, not necessarily sadness, and confusion about her future without him.
Her friend Kat is about to get married, which means the whole gang will be coming back to be there for the wedding. The gang includes Josh, and unfortunately Josh has started dating someone else. Finding out that Josh has moved on was the kick in the butt Emma needed to start living life. This new Emma starts to attract the attention of two very handsome men, Seth and Nick. They may both be very attractive and in to Emma, but they are two totally different guys who see and want something completely different from Emma.
Seth is the safe choice. He went to college, got a degree, he’s working towards his dream job and loves his family. He works with Emma and strives for everything Emma hopes to one day achieve professionally. He has his head in the right place professionally as well as so many other ways. He wants a relationship and a future with Emma. He is the epitome of the perfect man in every way. It should be an easy choice right?
Then we have Nick. He is the bad boy with wild, outlandish dreams and goals. He works as a DJ as well as other jobs to pay the bills. He wants to get away and travel the world one day. He is not the settling down type and lives life day by day. He sees no reason to change his plans for anyone or anything. But something about Emma makes him want her more than anything. He always refers to Emma as a friend and refuses to admit to the change in his feelings for her. I mean his life was perfect as it was, why would he need to change a thing about it?
She starts dating the dependable guy, Seth. He should be perfect for her. Yet she still has these intense feelings for Nick. Nick doesn’t give up easily. He waits on the sidelines to swoop in at any time and bring her to his side. Somewhere along the way he even seems to fall in love with her and change his ways without even realizing it. Seth continues dating Emma in blissful ignorance that everything is perfect as it should be. They are comfortable and perfect for each other in his eyes. But wasn’t that the same reason she and Josh didn’t work out. Sometimes comfortable and compatible just aren’t enough to make a relationship work for both parties involved.
While this love triangle is going on something else is slowly happening. Emma is changing. She is going from the lost, naïve girl who didn’t have any direction in life, to a confident woman determined to stand on her own two feet and make the decisions best for her. I felt proud of Emma for her transformation from girl to woman. She started to realize that being in a relationship should not define her and she didn’t need a man to make her feel good about herself. She started this journey looking for someone to complete her but in the end realized the only person she needed to feel complete all along was herself. She just didn’t realize it at the time.
When she finally becomes strong enough to see she needs to change for herself and look forward to the future she wants for herself there are two wonderfully different men completely in love with her. She is at a cross road and has to make a decision, the question is which path will she choose?
This book was a beautiful journey. Emma grew into a strong confident women right before my very eyes. I cannot wait for the next installment of the series. I would rate this book at 4 stars. It was beautifully written and touched my heart and emotions many times. There was no HEA, it was left open for the next book.

I thought Emma was the one for me, but it turned out I wasn’t the one for her.
She took me out of that box. She woke me up, shook my soul, made me realize I do want more. I want more out of this life. I want to have a proper relationship. I want to be in love and maybe even settle down one day. She gave me a reason to look forward to that kind of future.
I’ll always be thankful for that.
This book was a beautiful journey. Emma grew into a strong confident women right before my very eyes. I cannot wait for the next installment of the series. I would rate this book at 4 stars. This was a book was about new beginnings, lost loves and new loves but mostly it was about the journey in life we take and how one turning can lead us to an entirely different direction we did not intend to take.
Emma is finally moving on with her life after her long relationship with Josh who she has been with since a young age, is finally over after she finds he has now moved on himself. Now there is no turning back and she must grasp life with both hands and take up new opportunities and adventures. This leads her to a new role in her career and Seth and Nick.
Seth is new to the company Emma works at but they finally notice each other and the growing attraction they have for each other. The innocuous eye contact and lift interactions push this to another level.
Nick sees Emma everyday as she makes her way through the train station on her way to work. One day with her thoughts in the clouds she is beaming a big smile which Nick notices and as she comes to the kiosk he works at he finally makes the first conversation they have had, which leads to a growing friendship but could this be more?
This book is written with three POVs which at the best of times is hard to undertake with two characters but with three it can get a little confusing for the reader. Here we had Emma and her family, Emma with Seth and Emma with Nick. Then both Nick and Seth with their friends and family. Further into the book all of them together but with separate chapters working the same scene. I must admit I did find it a little confusing and also the same scenes were written over and over leading the reader to be taken through the same situation in order to be given how each character was being impacted. It was this that I found frustrating as I found it tedious to be taken though the same things which only lead to me wanting to flick through pages to get to the overall outcome. I would have preferred the actual scene to be concluded to one character then to be told in reflection how this was impacted on the other two.
I realise as a first book in a trilogy it is required to set up the situation and the background stories of the characters as we move through the story but we were given every little tidbit of the characters day to day lives, even down to minute detail.
I know that Emma is coming to a crossroads in her life (hence the title of the next book) but I wasn't able to invest in the relationship development she had with either Seth or Nick. Her depth of feeling for both of them was on a par so you felt you wanted to have them move on to the conclusion of who it was going to be but this was not until much later in the book and then this was given another curveball near to the end.
I liked the characters of both Seth and Nick and each offered wonderful attributes in their own strengths. This also made me anxious as I didn't want either of them not to be the victor – unless the author went for a ménage a trois! I totally understood why Emma was cautious as she had invested her life to someone at an impressionable young age and had gotten hurt by that but sometimes I just wanted to give her a shove and say “Choose now!” To be fair she does do this later in the book and we are on the happy trail for a while but then the curveball is thrown.
It is good that the author does get the anxiousness feeling across as this is what someone making a change in life would be feeling, especially after coming from a stage in life where all was safe and predictable – like Emma’s was with Josh. But then she grows to the next stage in her life which brings new anxieties.
There isn’t a HEA per se for this book, although nothing bad happens it just left me wanting. But then as a trilogy I guess that’s the idea! A snippet of the next book does give an indication for the theme we can expect. I do hope Emma gets her HEA but I want the same for Seth and Nick.
Overall I did enjoy this book but it did need time investing in it to read – a whopper of a 500 pager! I am looking forward to the next book Crossroads as I am keen to see what happens next for all three characters.

I have had the good fortune of reading a number of outstanding debut books recently and Finding My Way by Megan Keith is no exception. In this well written story we spend time with Emma (Em), Seth and Nick as the three of them, independently and together, seek to "find their way" in life.
Emma is in the final stages of recovery from the end of a long term relationship. A series of events force her to realise that it is time to move on from Josh and after 11 months she opens her mind to the prospect of a future full of possibilities. It is amazing how mindset can impact so much about a person - once Emma makes the active decision to begin living her life again, there is a noticeable change in the way she carries herself and interacts with others. As a consequence she catches the eye of two very different men:
Seth, the gorgeous, sensitive IT guy at work, who Emma has had a bit of crush on is captivated by her smile one morning. From there he begins to notice Emma and the two tentatively start to explore a relationship with each other.
Nick, the sexy, outspoken player from the kiosk at the train station. He's been watching Emma as she moves through the train station each morning for some time and notices something different about her the morning after her decision to move on. The two strike up a 'friendship' - which is filled with sexual tension.
All three characters are grappling with life, love and what they want from both. Emma is unsettled at work and not really clear about what her career path will be. She's also confused about the things she is feeling for Seth and Nick - two very different men and confused about what they want from her. Nick is a serious player: he doesn't do relationships. Until he meets Em and he realises she's too good for a 'hook up'. He has dreams of being a successful DJ, travelling the world and is battling with his father's disappointment, watching his friends settle down and the feelings he is developing for Em, despite them both agreeing to be 'friends'. While slightly more settled, Seth is dealing with his own insecurities. Frustrated with his house mates, lonely, and while satisfied at work for the moment he wants to do more with his qualification and find someone to settle down with.
Finding My Way is told from three points of view: Emma, Seth and Nick. I really liked how we got to see scenes from the different perspectives. So many times I wished the characters would just tell each other what they were thinking. A whole lot of their frustrations could have been resolved if they had just communicated clearly with each other! But having said that, I couldn't help but chuckle at how realistic their interactions were. So often people make assumptions about what others want, without checking their perception, and more often than not they get it wrong.
Sometimes taking a risk requires more courage than you thought you had. Even with the encouragement of her best friend Kat, Emma doesn't quite manage to take a leap when she could. Despite her caution, Emma does manage to stay true to herself and she does make tough decisions. Her experiences with Seth and Nick are both wonderful and heartbreaking - and it's not till the very end that you learn how things will play out for the three of them. I really enjoyed Finding My Way . There is another book to follow that I will be watching for.

SYNOPSIS
When twenty-three-year-old Emma discovers that her ex is moving on with his life, she decides to harden up and get on with living her own. Who knew that just opening up to the possibility of a new relationship would be all that it took? Things start looking up when her hot new co-worker Seth notices her. He had been the subject of her fantasies, but she never thought she stood a chance. Then there’s Nick, the sexy and self-assured guy she met at the train station that she cannot get out of her head. When even more prospects begin to show it seems that life is finally looking up. Top it off with a new career opportunity and Emma finally believes she can find her way to a whole new life.
MY REVIEW:
I really enjoyed this book for a few reasons. My number one being the ending. I loved the way the author thought to do it and I felt it really strayed from the norm on New Adult books. It was a real ending. One that had me pondering with the fact that in all reality that is the most probable outcome and truly, I felt it made the book that much better.
Second would be the characters and the way that we get to really read a novellas for each of them with the way the book is written. We bounce POV with the chapters and it really gives you a whole picture feel to the book. Nick, Seth, and Emma have themselves in quote the conundrum, but it does make for a great read.
I felt the characters and their actions/reactions to things in the book were very relatable and enjoyable. Some parts had you swooning, and in the next you are totally engulfed in what was going on with them.
It was a very realistic book with no out their plot twists, but it still kept great attention. I hope to see more from the characters in the future. A really great light read.

My Synopsis:
Emma gets news that her ex-boyfriend of seven years has finally moved on and dating someone. Emma has been in a sort of holding pattern for the last eleven months and makes the decision to let the past go and move on finally. Once she sheds this baggage she instantly catches the eye of Nick, the sexy kiosk clerk at the train station/nightclub DJ and Seth, her sexy co-worker who Emma had been lusting for the last couple months. All of sudden Emma who'd never dated anyone but her ex has two sexy men vying for her heart and attention. With the chaos of her best friend's wedding, dealing with her ex, possible new job opportunities and juggling two guys, suddenly Emma's life has become a hive a activity.
My Review:
This book was a pleasant surprise. It's told from three different POV's. You are in the head of Emma, Seth and Nick. At first the book started off a bit slow for me. Mainly because it took awhile for me to wrap my head around all the different character's that were thrown at me. I was trying to grasp, who was who, who was related and who was friends with who. All of that kept putting me off my reading groove. Once I got all the characters roles situated, I settled into an entertaining reading experience.
Emma, is twenty-three years old and works as a receptionist at G&C Printing. I could relate to her character. I felt for her and the decision she made to end a longtime relationship because she recognized that they had grown apart. She may have been the one to make the break but the break up was still hard on her and she's still dealing with the end of something special. She was feisty, a homebody and clumsy. I adored that about her character. Her character was lovable. I liked her relationship with her best friend Kat. You can see how much their friendship means to her and how she values it.
Seth, is a sweetheart. He is Emma's co-worker. Once he notices Emma he really pursues her. He doesn't play any games and definitely wears his heart on his sleeve. The tension and pull between these two is smoldering. I really enjoyed reading the scenes between Seth and his sister. He's such a good big brother. So sweet and kind. He's that 'boy next door' type. Sweetheart but has a definite sexy side.
Nick is the bad boy. He doesn't do relationships. He's all about one night hook ups and that's it. When he's around Emma, what he feels for her definitely throws him for a loop. He's a cocky bastard and sexy. When these two are around each other, wow goodness me, the sexual tension is palpable. He definitely had me fanning myself. :)
I am so glad that I'm not in Emma's shoes. Both boys have qualities that make them irresistible. Things happen in this book that make my heart hurt for one of the guys. The book ends in a cliffhanger of sorts. All three are like the title says "Finding their Way" definitely by the end of this book.
I got pulled into the lives of Emma, Seth, Nick and all the secondary characters. I liked knowing the history behind Emma, Kat (her best friend), her ex (Josh), Jake (Kat's brother) and Ethan (Emma's brother). Lots of history, love and friendship. Everyone is close and it felt like I was part of the group instead of reading about it. I was got invested in all the characters lives by the end of Finding My Way. I was excited to read this book. I had it on my TBR pile for awhile. I became skeptical when I first started reading. The beginning seemed to focus on Emma’s relationship with her ex, Josh. I was anxious to move on, I knew they broke up. I wanted the good stuff. Fortunately, the good started up pretty quickly after that. I loved the interactions between all the characters. It was funny when Seth and Emma would try to catch glimpses of each other at work. Nick was also hilarious with his trying out mattresses while helping Emma shop for a new bed and acting like a zombie when they watched the zombie movie. Seth was endearing in his dream of settling down with a family of his own. Nick pissed me off by hooking up with one-night stands even though he was dreaming of Emma. I felt Emma’s turmoil in trying to pick the right man for herself and her heartache when she realized she couldn’t be friends with Nick. This book made me laugh, it made me cry, and it made me want to smack Nick upside the head. Maybe Seth and Emma too. This book was a journey for the characters and had me wondering till the very end. Who would be the best man for Emma? Would it even be Seth or Nick? Overall, I give it 5-stars. It was easy to read, and I can’t wait to read more about the characters.

First impression? Stunning cover!

In this debut novel by Ms. Keith we meet Emma. She is in what I would say in a rut. No plan, just going with the flow of life, sorta living it! Barely, really.
Imagine worst break up ever - the long term HS boyfriend breaks your heart kind of breakup.
Emma in my mind was so wrapped up in her life with Josh. (The ex) she could never imagine life for her. But, sometimes things happen. People change. The fairy tale might not always have a happy ending.
What does this mean for Emma? Her bestie is getting married and she just has to face her demons, which sadly include the ex. Dun-Dunnnnn. Plus, did I forget to mention - his life is not so much in a rut? Oh no this man has moved on.
Now see I think sometimes we all need a good kick in the ass. Nothing says kick in the ass like good a old fashioned "Hell no, he is over me and I will be damned if I am going to MOPE!"
Dum - de - dum! Hellooooo Seth and Nick!
Good boy = safe choice!
Bad boy- makes you throw out inhibitions!
You see where I am going here, right?

Shit in all fairness, poor Emma! What's a girl to do? Seth is beautiful, a hard worker and an all around great guy.
Nick is beautiful too! He is a dreamer and wants to take a bite out of life. Safe bet? A guy who may or may not have issues with commitment! Hmmmmm.
Who does she choose? Oh well I am not telling! I have to say I do sometimes get frustrated with the triangle but this one kept me on my toes. I'm not sure who I would have picked. Emma needs to find her way though and figure it all out.
I don’t love him. I should love him. I care for him, but not enough…
Read the book and find out. Sometimes as women we need to stand up and take ownership of our lives. Live for ourselves and not be defined. Emma's journey is beautiful in its simplicity and I think it will strike a cord with any of us who have had our hearts broken and picked up the pieces. Well done.
I cannot wait to see if Emma ever gets her Happily Ever After...Ahhh, guess I am waiting until book two! :)

What an extremely well-written novel by Megan Keith!
Let me just say that Megan Keith took her time telling this story; she did it in such a way that I became a part of the book (or the book became a part of me – either way I was enthralled). She gave me the opportunity to get to know the characters so well that it was as if I was a part of Emma, Seth, and Nick’s life. I kept looking forward to sitting down and reading it because I couldn’t wait to see what was happening and how their day was going to be.
This book is told by three POV’s: Emma’s, Seth’s, and Nick’s which Megan Keith mastered doing. I knew what was going on with each character at the same moment, what each was thinking and feeling. It was never confusing; the flow of it was perfect. I thought it was an incredible way to tell this tale and enjoyed every word written.
This novel consists of two terrific guys and one great gal. Emma’s just trying to find her way after a long term relationship ended (11 months ago). But this isn’t just Emma’s story, it’s as much Seth’s and Nick’s. Them too figuring out what they want in life. For a while I didn’t know who I was rooting for though, Seth or Nick. I’d be rooting for Seth, and later on for Nick. What I loved most about this book is that there was no crazy drama, no angst. It was a refreshing story of real life trying to figure out what you want: career wise and love. I felt as though I was able to connect with each character especially Emma. There were so many times when she reminded me of myself. Being able to relate to a character made the reading that much more exciting.
Again a phenomenal job on the author’s debut novel, it was written with such charisma, I’m in ahh of this story and very much looking forward to the sequel ‘Crossroads’. I can’t wait to find out what’s going on with my new found friends. I miss them already.

First of all, this cover is absolutely gorgeous! I just love the colors and that amazing smile. Ok, now onto the book. For a debut novel, this book was Good!! I was hooked from the very first page! I love when a book has the male’s POV and not only do we get one but we get two male POV’s!! Loved it!!!
The story begins with Emma, a 23 year old woman, who is trying to cope with being single after a devastating breakup with her high school and college sweetheart. Emma is heartbroken, crushed, and frankly a little depressed. It’s been almost a year after her breakup with Josh and she still hasn’t moved on. Until she finds out her ex has moved on first, with another woman. After that, Emma realizes she needs a “wake up call” and needs to fix her life.
She begins to exude more self-confidence, dressing with style, applying some make-up, and just starting to smile again. Little does she know, her new attitude on life, grabs the attention of both Seth and Nick. Now, let me tell you; both of these men are so hot and sexy; it was unbearable for me sometimes. LOL…Seth is charming, passionate, honest, and just a wholesome guy. He cared about Em from the very beginning. I loved, loved, loved that he was shy and nervous around her. It just made his character more believable. Then there’s Nick; total opposite from Seth. He’s a player only looking to score with Em at first, but realizes he wants more. He brings out the “inner sex goddess” within her. Nick was sexy, cocky (in a good way), smart, and so freakin hilarious. I loved it when he pretended to be a zombie..hahaha I was cracking up. :)
Overall, this book was phenomenal! It took me 3 days to read it, only because I work full-time, so I needed to sleep. I am definitely going to continue reading the series and book #2, Crossroads is set to release on September 13, 2013. I cannot wait!!

I thought this was a really interesting read about a woman who is just beginning to discover who she is after being in a relationship with the same guy since she was sixteen. 7 years of the most important time of your life could make you arrive late to the game of figuring out how to date, what kind of relationship you want and then learning that it's okay to not have any idea and so you just start dating and let it go from there. A majority of this book is Emma going after what she thinks she wants and discovering that as she begins to become more self assured that what she thought was right for her wasn't exactly so clear cut. This story is told from 3 POV's which does get to be a little much to keep up with sometimes but I think it is essential to the story to be told this way. Seth is the guy next door, clean cut, a charmer who Emma works with. Then we have Nick - tall dark and handsome who works at the Train Station that Emma frequents every day. Both guys have pros and cons and its quite a journey for Emma to decide who really holds her heart and what to do with knowledge. The end of the book does end in a cliffhanger without a lot of resolution so thankfully there is book 2 haha which is a direct continuation of this story. All in all I loved the feel of this book,
I love the bestie's relationship Emma and Kat have. I'm a huge supporter of books where the heroine has this meddlesome best friend! Because sometimes we need our best friend's to give us a not so gentle push in the right direction sometimes (am I right ladies?) so if you are looking for a fun journey of self discovery with a little bit of a love triangle situation then this is the book for you!

I chose to review this book as it is written by an Aussie author. What can I say…. I absolutely loved it, though it left me wanting more….
I had a big smile on my face whilst reading it. Author Megan Keith has written such a great first book, full of fun banter between the characters. I loved seeing the different POV’s from the main characters-Emma, Seth and Nick.
Emma Taylor has survived somewhat from coming out of a long term relationship, seeing her ex has moved on and being told to get back out there, especially by her best friend Kat, she finally decides to do just that, even though it has been a year since then. What happens with a colleague at her work and with a guy she meets at her local train station will have you wanting to keep on reading…..or at the very least not want to put your kindle down!!

The too & fro of the different POV’s are interesting throughout…I loved seeing Seth and Nick’s take on things and the way Emma is perceived by them. Nick is a bit of a player…Seth is the guy you want to bring home to your parents. Both guys are really HOT and her friends say that she should go for both and live a little!! I thought Kat was a great friend!! Emma has to help her with her wedding which helps break up some indecisions about the men in her life.
Although Emma does mention her regrets & reminisces about things in the past, it seems she is finally trying to find her way in life!! I was so relieved to know there is another book coming out and am looking forward to reading it. Really wish it was out NOW!!

Although Emma does mention her regrets & reminisces about things in the past, it seems she is finally trying to find her way in life!! I was so relieved to know there is another book coming out and am looking forward to reading it. Really wish it was out NOW!!

I read this to get the back-story before reading Crossroads I was only suppose to skim but once I stated I read from cover to cover. I fell in love with Megan's writing and her approach to this story. I loved the different POV and all aspect of the story is covered from different angles.
The characters are relatable and real. Emma is young women just going through the motions not knowing who she is or what she wants to do with her life like many 23 year old. She is not particularly ambitious or driven she likes what she does but not passionate about it.
Nick is a 26 year old station kiosk worker and DJ by night that still live at home with his parents; his life choices are critiqued by his father who puts him down every chance he gets. (Sounds like anyone you know, probably) that's my point all the characters can be found in your day to day life. They sound like normal people I know, people in similar situations. It's fiction but its not too at fetched. I hate when books are too elaborate and over the top. this is just mellow and realistic with real life accuracy.
At first I really didn't understand why Seth POV was relevant but by the end when the final messages of the book was delivered I totally got it.
Loneliness can be depressing and when companionship is offered it can be blinding and creating a longing for more than what is actually offered. How love can sometimes be one sided.
Clearly I enjoyed this book since I could not put it down.

I really enjoyed this book. There were times I wanted to strangle Nick, Emma, and Seth but they were great characters. This book is full of misunderstandings, passion, and like the title says, Emma is finding her way.
Emma goes from being in a serious long term relationship to being single to having 2 guys wanting her attention. There were times she really frustrated me with her assumptions and lack of confidence but she grew on me. There was so much back and forth between Nick and Emma then Seth and Emma that I found it hard to root for one of the guys. It was a totally different take on a love triangle and I liked it.
Nick and Seth are both sexy but in different ways. Nick is huge, muscular, loves music (he is a DJ after all), and doesn’t do relationships or commitment. Seth is a little more reserved in some aspects, works on computer networks, is ready to settle down and start a family, and is a little awkward when trying to talk to women. They both are instantly drawn to Emma once she decides to put herself back out on the dating scene after her long term relationship break-up. I liked them both a lot which is why it was so hard to choose who to root for.
I found the storyline very engaging and thought it was well written. The main characters as well as the secondary characters were well developed and I found myself wrapped up in their wellbeing. Great book and I happily give a rating of 4 out of 5 stars.

Review
The story between Emma, Nick and Seth is lovable.
Seth is this easy to love confortable guy whereas Nick is the ‘bad boy’ in this story. He is known for his reputation as a player and doesn’t usually stay with one girl more than once. So why does he feel the need to stay close to Emma?
Who will Emma choose? The lovable easy going and romantic Seth, or the ‘bad boy’ that is looking for one-night stands and could potentially hurt her.
Emma finds there is a lot of passion for both men and is finding it hard to decide whom she wants.
Nick being the player he is, pushes Emma away when he feels he may be taking advantage of her, but does Emma know that’s the reason, or does she believe she is being rejected. This pushed Emma to choose Seth, but will she get her happily ever after? And what happens when her ex is thrown into the mix?
By the end of the book Emma ends up with neither of the boys but believes it is time for her to focus on herself. She has taken on the belief that she doesn’t need a guy to be happy.
This book is in all 3 P.O.V’s and gives you an insight into what the men are feeling.
I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait to see how Emma’s life turns out.
