Can they love again? Is it too late?

Nayara Ybarra and Ryan Deasmhumhain are the most powerful vampires known to humans in the 23rd century. They lead the Chronometric Preservation Agency, welded together yet divided by grief that won’t heal, their lives on hold. Vampires have lived apart from humans in the two hundred years since Nayara and Ryan jumped back in time and killed their lover, Salathiel, to halt the time wave that was destroying humanity and vampires.

Now, Càel Stelios, Worlds Assembly member, intends to make humans like vampires any way he can. He knows the vampires must become allies. Their unique strengths and abilities will help humans in the coming battle against the raging psi and their psychotic leader, Gabriel.

While he wages his political and social campaign he hides his true ambitions: to win Nayara and Ryan for himself. But despite being politically powerful, rich, smart and sexually potent, Stelios has a overwhelming disadvantage: He’s human. “No” is not a word he accepts without a fight, however. The psi-filers and Gabriel have plans, though, that will make fighting very real and bloody indeed…

WARNING: This vampire menage time travel romance contains two hot, sexy alpha heroes, frequent, explicit and frank sex scenes and sexual language. It includes heart-stopping sexual scenes between the aforementioned sexy heroes, menage scenes, and anal sex. Do not proceed beyond this point if hot love scenes offend you. No vampires were harmed in the making of this novel.

SUPERB. Ryan Deasmhumhain and Nayara Ybarra are probably the two most powerful vampires in the world. Together they run the Cronologic Conservation Agency. Playing a major role in the first book of this series, Bannockburn Binding. Here they have their own story told. It is one of great tragedy and heartbreak. But also a love of the ages. They have loved and lost. Being together is a constant reminder of everything they no longer have. But to be apart would cause more pain.

Cael Stelios is a powerful human, a member of the world assembly. Clever and very resourceful. He has sworn to win Ryan and Nayara for himself. But he is human and they are vampires, if that wasn't enough of a barrier, he must persuade them to let go of their pasts.

Running parallel to the main story, is the danger that is threatening all of them, vampires and humans alike. Gabriel a psi filer is gathering those of his kind to threaten and impose their will on the world.

Here in this second book of the series, the author takes us on a journey with her beautifully drawn characters to the twenty third century. The vivid description of this world set in the future is a major plus side to this book. The reader is swept along by the events happening to the characters. Of course the love scenes are explicit, but written with sensitivity and passion. An excellent addition to the series. I am grateful to the author for ARC.

Hot damn is this a great book! The sci-fi world is outstanding, the romance a perfect blend of emotional and sexual, and the secondary characters outstanding. Why more readers aren't gobbling this series up is a mystery to me. Do yourself a favor and read this series. (And before you wonder, I don't know the author or publisher, just an avid reader!)

Jam packed with characters and time travel: could there be too much going on?!

I really loved Bannockburn Binding, the previous full novel in the series, but just could not empathize with the main characters in this one. Too much going on in too many locations with too many characters to keep straight. Some specific issues with the story:

First, Setting. Byzantium around the time of its fall and ancient Rome are okay but not my favorite time periods. Ryan also likes to time travel to New Orleans to drink and find hook-ups and, for some reason, I really don't like stories set in the Big Easy.

Second, Nia and Ryan's story through the ages is told in, to me, dry bits and pieces. Their Byzantine lover Saladriel's story comes out in choppy reminiscences so I never really understood him.

Third, this book was confusing with multiple simultaneous plots, imaginative but not that easy to follow. As this series builds one book at a time adding more depth and characters, I don't know that I will continue on to the next one as I fear my confusion will only grow.

Byzantine Heartbreak is a love story featuring vampires, psi-filers, adventure, drama, suspense, and a bisexual menage sexual relationship. This book is the second in the Beloved Bloody Time Series by Tracy Cooper Posey. It is the story of two vampires that run a time travel agency, Chronometric Conservation Agency. Nayara Ybarra and Ryan Deasmhumhain were lovers involved in a menage relationship, but time and heartbreaking circumstances broke their union apart. I would recommend reading the first book in the series, Bannock Binding. This story had many complex details that were explained in the previous book, and it is very difficult to understand what is happening if you don't know the backstory with all of the details.

I loved the complex layers to the main characters. Nayara's character was like many women very strong and independent, but she was hiding a heart that was shattered after losing one of her loves. Ryan accepted the distance between them and medicated himself with fine liquor and meaningless relationships. Into this mix of long denied love enters Cael Stelios, a human. He is determined to understand their relationship and become part of their life. I was kept off guard throughout the book because each time I thought I understood the motivation, thought process, or decision making of a character and could predict what they woud do the author revealed another complexity to the story or the character. It was absolutely brilliant writing.

The storyline for this one was a little weak for me. It didn't make sense that Nayara and Ryan would readily accept that they needed to reveal so much about themselves for the reason given. There was a strong cast of secondary characters that had well-developed storylines that intersected with the main one. However, the main storyline had so many jumps back and forth through time that it was difficult to keep track of everything going on in each character's life. I had to go back and read several sections make sure I was making the right connection. This was a minor distraction because overall the story moved along quickly, with many hot love scenes, and enough suspense to keep you riveted to the story.

This story was more than enough for me to anticipate the next installment of the series.

The second book in the Beloved Bloody Time series is an emotionally stimulating and passionate story that keeps the reader entertained from beginning to end.

The leaders of the Chronometric Preservation Agency, Nayara and Ryan, are the most powerful known vampires in the 23rd century, but their personal lives are on hold, they love each other but grief keeps them apart. Cael, a World’s Assembly member, wages a political and social campaign to bring the humans and vampires together as allies against the psi, but he also has another hidden agenda, one that includes Nayara and Ryan in a personal alliance. Meanwhile, Gabriel, the leader of the psi-filers is becoming a very real threat as he builds an army against the world.

The author’s unique story line continues to entertain and intrigue with surprising twists and turns, compelling characters, and scorching hot frequent sexual interaction that includes sexual language, menage and anal sex. The chemistry and emotions of Nayara and Ryan are conveyed with great detail and arouses the reader’s passion and empathy for their situation. And when Cael joins the couple, things become even more arousing.

At a slightly slower pace than the first, this book gives the reader the past drama through the memories of Nayara and Ryan as well as the present drama taking place in this world with many layers of complexity that flow clearly and smoothly from one event to the next. This futuristic world is described with clarity and vivid detail that grabs the reader’s imagination and keeps them totally captivated.

The author uses well written dialogue and an interesting and enticing world to ensure that the reader will keep coming back for more. The only drawback to this story is that it ends in a major cliff hanger in the conflict with the psi. I can’t wait to read the third book in this great series.

Holy crumb, this book was emotionally wrenching. Is it just me or does the thought of two people lingering for TWO HUNDRED years without one another hurt? That Salathiel really did a number on poor Nayara and Ryan. Shattering the trust of your menage by attempting to destroy life as we know it isn't something that's easy to get past.

Seriously, I'm still a little flaily. Nayara and Ryan have all this history together. Six hundred years as lovers and two hundred as lost souls. That's a lot of anniversaries. The twist of fate that gives vampires crystal clear memories makes it hard for them to get past what they had to do to right the wrongs Salathiel caused. Good thing they have a hard-headed human on their side who's willing to force them to see what they're doing to one another.

And good thing that Stelios has a thing for both Nayara and Ryan. It makes menaging so much more fun when all three are into one another.

This book gives us more layers to the vampire world, more naughty sexy times with three powerful people, and one bad guy who is a very real threat. Time travel, vampires, and menages. Oh, my!

(Yes, I'm still totally on board with the idea of time traveling vampire menages. We need more books like this. MOAR!)

Stumbled across this series by picking up the first title as a freebie. Definitely not for everyone with science fiction, time travel, vampires, and bi-sexual ménage sex scenes. Despite some minor editing issues and despite the frankly horrid series name, the story is quite engaging. The characters are well developed, the world is intricate, and the plot is captivating. The sex scenes are graphic, but unlike many other self-published books, the sex does not outweigh the plot.

I love the depth and details put into this series. This is t just a ménage erotica, but a little bit of science fiction and a lot of paranormal romance too. I am glad that the characters from the first book have roles here, as it makes sense in the scope of the story. The set up for the next book with Dionne and Justin is inserted nicely as well. I can't wait to see what happens next.
