Thorough. Thoroughly modern. Beautifully written.

Started it. Couldn't finish it.
Usually, I try to read every biography about Martin Luther I can get my hands on. This one I found and eagerly snatched up. Began to read it. Eugh.
It's not that it was bad - it was rather detailed, even down to describing his clothing on at least one occasion. But that was it; it was too detailed. Seriously, who wants to know he was constipated at such and such a time? It was also disppointing that the biography documented Luther from about age 40 or so (if I remember correctly) and on. I like to read biographies that cover his whole life, not just a portion of it.
I couldn't finish it. I'm sorry; I may pick it up at some time or another. But probably not.
