An epic adventure that marks legendary artist Simon Bisley's triumphant return to interior comics work! The End of Days is here, and four lost souls must climb from the depths of Hell itself to stand against the monstrous Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse - for the sake of humanity!
I was so excited about this book for the first few pages! The artwork is really phenomenal throughout (hence the three stars). It helped to read the introduction regarding the creative process for the story; originally this was planned as a video game but after many delays and cancellations, this graphic novel was the end result. The IDEA was excellent, the final result not so much. There were lots of loose ends, rushed plot points, and a convoluted ending. The art, characters, and environment were outstanding. I would love to see slower, more developed world-building (prequel?) and more from the authors and artists. More “Hellblazer” less “Darksiders.”
It has very confusing story with heavy dose of Christianity mixed up. The only saving grace is the art, but it is too little to save the comics. A little more story could have make this palatable. Instead it is confusing mess with a lot of mumbo-jumbo. Stay clear of this, I wish I did.
Simon Bisley at his gory-est best. A group of damaged unlikely heroes led by Adam Cahill of the Order of Solomon have to overcome the Four Horsemen of the Apolcalypse to prevent Armageddon.
