Yabba dabba taboooooooo.
If you wanna bite down on the pillow and go into this book without lube, all for it- you do you. Some may need read the TW. Just saying.

Twister, unhinged drifting badass FMC. Does give the men a run for their money that’s for sure. The Sister.
Drip, unhinged ruler of the underworld MMC. Possessive is an understatement. The Brother.

We also get Roe the best friend and Mitch the new plaything…It’s going to be a hot minute before I can look at a pool table without seeing THAT scene.

If you want a cute loving relationship vibe with a few spicy scenes, this isn’t the book for that. You wanna read about a brother destroying his sisters holes, allowing others to make her..drip and tear her apart and she is loving every second of it and more, then this is that book. Legit from the first chapter had me like “ummm okay, fuck hot but wtf” and it only escalated. There was not really a page without something making me question my morals.

Super fast paced book, would say more spice than storyline but didn’t hate that as there was a story and a good one. Could easily be read in a few hours followed by a cold shower.

If you are looking for a spicy, steamy, taboo, forbidden, dark romance, THIS IS IT !!!!!

The spicy scenes are one of the most spicy i have ever read, and i have read my fair share. The friction between Twister and Drip and the way Drip is possessive and protective at the same time are so good. This book is definitely taboo, so i would definatly check your trigers before reading it. But for me i have no trigers, so i ATE THAT SHIT UP 😏
This book is about foster siblings who have a VERY intimate relationship. Drip runs the underground street races, and if he or twister wins the gets to do whatever the want withh the loser.

I love both taboo and dark romances, but this book was poorly written. There’s no plot, the characters have no personality, and beyond the porno sex scenes there’s just nothing redeeming about it. Even those scenes became old because it was CONSTANT. Sorry, this book just wasn’t for me and I’m glad I got it though KU or I’d want a refund.

Oooookayyyy So....

1. Twister is ridiculously unhinged
2. The cliffhanger hurts my poor brain.... I don't like that I won't get answers to my many many questions:
2.1 How did Twister Unalive Cole
2.2 Why did they all get vasectomies and then talk about breeding her???
2.3 Why not just birth control??
2.4 Why did Roe wait until her birthday... (What an ass)
3. What the hell was going on in the plot?? I am so confused
4. The editing was not great.....
5. If I forget about trying to understand the plot... at least the smut was hot!
6. How did a small child unalive 2 adults with bleach???

⚠️WARNING!!⚠️I did not read this book, but PLEASE do NOT support this author. A book titled "Written in Blood", was a collaboration of authors and the money was to go to charity. Layla Moon took all of the money and shut down her socials. I refuse to support someone who not only screwed over all of the authors who put their time in creating something that had to be ultimately taken down, but also all of the readers who donated that money for a good cause. I’m…sort of unsure how to review this to be honest.
Was it super dark? Yes.
Was it spicy? Also Yes.
Was there any plot? No, none.
So…to be honest, I’m not really sure what the point of this was. It felt like a dark erotic novella.

Zero point to it, zero story really, lots of weird taboo spice, lots of the macabre.

I guess if that’s your bag, then head on through and continue!

The spice wasn’t great, for me personally. I have no issue at all with the taboo aspect. Spoiler (he’s not really a blood brother - but even if he was - *shrugs* I’ve read weirder shit.)
I don’t mind if it’s good. This was just…weird? It left me with a “huh?” Look on my face for the most part.

Twister is all kinds of fucked up.
She is a nymphomaniac, an exhibitionist and needs sex like air to breathe.
Roe gives it violently, painfully and with hate.
Drip gives it with strings, his own brand of sadism and I guess what he experiences of love.
They’re just all fucked up to be honest.

She can’t communicate with them in any meaningful way.

So. She just has sex.

Boom. That’s the story.

Well this was one hell of a hot and taboo read! And I absolutely devoured it!
The representation of the JDM Scene was so good to see, the storyline and history kept me captivated, and the smut was pure filth. Just how I like it.

Layla knows how to write, and write well at that!
Twister and Drip.... and Roe.... and Mitch.... hot damn!!!
The descriptions, the characters, the scenes, everything was absolutely on point.

I look forward to more utter filth from Layla in the future and will be stalking for future releases!

This doesn't end on a cliffhanger actually it's more like .. an open ending it's completely a standalone a spicy one very spicy .

From beginning to end this book is just….fuckkkk 🫠🫠🥵🥵 AMAZING!!Charge your toys and have a towel near by. This book is short (under 200 pages), not so sweet 😉 and gets straight to the good stuff. The cliffhanger though 🫨🫨😭 Deliciously taboo and a must read!!

If you're looking for a why choose taboo romance with a strong FMC and LOTS of spice, then this is definitely the book for you. There were so many steamy scenes that had me questioning "wait am I in to this.... yes, yes I am." 😂 I also liked that there was a story to go with all of the spice. The only thing I didn't like was that there was all the build-up about the FMC's secret, but then once it came out, the whole rest of the book just felt so rushed. It was like the story was going in one direction, and then the next thing you know, you've got whiplash from the story doing a 180... and then that's the end of the book. Overall, though, it was a fun read, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a super spicy taboo romance.

I was a huge fan of Layla Moon when I read her first book The Offering. I begged her to be on ARC team
And was given the luxury. This is a 5 star spicy read from beginning to end. Smut, other “stuff” and smut s’amore. Oh there is love but it is of the dark nature. Be warned. Do not pick up this book until u read and reread Trigger Warnings. This book is NOT for the beginner Dark Romance girlies. There is a strong female main character Twister and two very bad-ass individuals Roe and Drip who will haunt your nightmares. I don’t want to give any spoilers but I will say their nicknames are perfect. You think they have done their worst then bam Layla shines. Read this book and see why Layla Moon is the Queen of Dark Romance.

I need more like yesterday... This book had everything I want: bad@ss/sexy/confident/bloodlusting FMC, insanely hot/deranged men that say 'good boy' and 'pretty boy' and the best of both worlds 😉 the secrets and revelations throughout this story was so heartbreaking but the ending was 100% worth it 🤤

Ok. SPOILERS!!!!!! So be warned. I can’t leave an honest review with them. This might. E long, so bear with me…






So….I feel totally and completely lost. I got a little backstory. But it came so fast and with so little to it, I felt like was pissed that I got it. I honestly thought this book could have been at least another if not one, two books longer. I LOVED Drip(Conner). I have mixed feelings about Twister(Briar). And Roe….he deserves a book all for himself. Mitch, Mitch, Mitch….that boy could very well be the dark horse in all of this and Ivy! seriously, the author did a disservice to her. I just felt like there were many places this could go, but I honestly felt like was too much like book p**n. And what I mean by that is that you got these juicy characters that you loved and wanted to get to know. I didn’t mind all the f**king that they were doing, that isn’t my problem, I just wanted more. The s*x scene were beautiful. But, I wanted them to be more than just p**n actors. They had such depth in the few moments that you got from them that I wanted more. I think is my problem. I almost feel like these characters were being used. I know it is weird. Read the book. I could be wrong, but I feel robbed of getting to know these guys beyond what their c**ks and p**ssies are capable of taking. I want to know WHY Roe took the fall for Phantom(Cole)’s death. I want to WHY Cole turned so hard on Twister. I want to WHY they changed their names. I want to know if Cole was the one she actually loved more or if it was Conner the whole time, and if Cole had actually ra**d her and got her pregnant and that is actually when she killed him. I want to know why Conner gave everything up when Briar told him about killing Cole and what happed to Roe and Mitch and Ivy because of it. I want to know what happened between Roe and Conner after finding out that Roe knew all those years about Briar and Cole, still took the fall and never told Conner. I want to if Roe knew about ALL reasons the Briar killed Cole or did he just know she did. This what I am talking about!!!!!! I got a TON of great, steamy, sick, kinky s*x scenes, but it left me feeling empty and sad for the characters.

this was such a fast, dark, and super smutty read. i was living for the smut. and that dedication page … tell me why i was literally saying those exact words after every scene !! the spice was SPICING 🌶️

i did feel that there was a part of the plot missing but it was super interesting reading this through. i kind of figured out the plot twist but i was still shook when it was confirmed. i loved the characters **cough cough ** mitch 🤭 i absolutely loved him. he was just the best !! i’m a huge car lover so to find out so was twister. it just made me love her even more. the way i was so rooting for roe and ivy. why did i want something with them ? i will never understand but roe … my god do i want more of him !!

this also ended in a cliffhanger so now i’m just gripping the edge of my seat waiting for more

WOOOWWW! The spice in this book was definitely spicing! 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ spice started right at the very beginning so it’s definitely fast paced! The plot was also great! I will admit every once in a while, it was kind of hard to follow the plot but in the end, it was all worth it! This found “family” ruling their underground city was everything! We all gotta love some badass, drifting, biker men and women and this book definitely has that. This book is perfect for those who view trigger warning lists as shopping lists because whew it was some kinky spicy stuff throughout the whole thing. I could have probably read this entire book in one sitting (less than 200 pages so decently short) if I didn’t have to adult and go to work 🙃 My first Layla Moon book I’ve read and now I want to read everything she has ever written or will ever write! I’m here for all of what Layla has given to us!
