In an age where superhumans reign, anyone can end the world.Without a common enemy to unite against, humanity teeters on the brink of self-destruction. Isaac has prevented one apocalypse, but now faces a more insidious humanity itself.
Grand plans for a perfect world are crumbling, and masterplans are failing as superpowers prove to be no cure-all. Societies are shattering under pressure, pushed to their breaking points.
With threats lurking everywhere and global power levels soaring, can Isaac and his friends keep the world from tearing itself apart without becoming the monsters they fight against?
That is the end of the series. It pretty much followed the same pattern for each book. Starts off slow and I ask myself if I want to continue the series and then picks up in the second half and I end up enjoying it. I didn't know this was the last book when I picked it up. It took a lot longer to get going. I was 8 hours into the audiobook (and it was a slog), before the plot progressed. Now that I know it was the last book, it makes sense that the author finished up some storylines. In the end a world boss was summoned and was a massive battle to save the world. Overall, I did enjoy the series.
This is the reality of how a time loop ought to go. Kinda anti-climactic in some places, but it’s supposed to be when you’ve had a whole other lifetime to prepare for the worst
If you liked the previous books in the series you're going to enjoy this. Great action and battles. Most importantly he doesn't screw up the ending which is really easy to do. Everything resolves well and is really well done, highly recommend 👍
this was a really fun end that the apocalypse redux series. it had quite a bit of fan service that was enjoyable after seven books but also some genuine world building, a continuation of solar system building, character building and interesting action.
this is probably one of the best books out of the entire series, which is funny, giving it is the last book in the series. I definitely will check out. Jacob H. Greifs books in the future.
I think writing a book series which tends to be on a side of the genre less commonly discussed (being stopping an apocalypse before it happens and fixing issues/guiding humanity), can be written wrong very easily, especially when you begin to discuss world politics in scope of the 'system' that exists within this story. it wasn't perfect, no doubt about it, but it was a fairly good story, an interesting main character, fairly interesting side characters.
it was nice to have a story primarily set in a European country. usually these type of apocalypse system books are situated in America, Korea, Japan and a maybe distant China but not very likely. Germany was pretty fun.
I think there's potential for more in a spin-off series, but I doubt it.
The series was shaping up nicely with great world building and progression despite a few chekov guns forgotten about. He's leveling up and preparing for the end, and then the author wants to end the book so bloody fast! Time skip into final boss battle, which is described almost literally as 'they fought for 4 days and won,' the end.' Just.. anticlimactic as all get out and super disappointing, and then 10 year time skip, little epilogue and the end. With absolutely NONE of the loose plot threads pulled together. No resolution on the dark gods or his sisters' classes or really anything at all resembling a real ending. Another story that was set up to be twice as long ended abruptly halfway through. Heck, the MC has 10 years to save the world, and 8 of them were skipped to rush the ending. Max level 200 but we see the MC get less than half of those on the page they're just skipped past. Mc gets shiny new gear, and it's never mentioned again. Story was so good until the author gave up.
This book brings us to an amazing ending to the series and boy what a thrilling ending this is. It's a rollercoaster ride right through, as Isaac and his allies are forced to finally battle monstrous and gigantic monsters who are bringing the world to the brink of destruction. Isaac is forced to call on everyone to come to the grand battles they are facing, he knows that only through their unity can they defeat such godlike creatures. However many super powered humans are only out for what they can gain so a lot of trust goes into the call he makes for unity but he is surprised to see how many rally to his call. The final battles are awesome, as the creatures are ginormous and incredible to even imagine and Isaac and his colleagues have also become gigantic in their own right, hopefully they won't be blinded by the powers they have gained and turn into the monsters they are trying to defeat. Well done Jakob H. Greif for such an exciting series.
Loved the series and am sad and happy it's finished at the same time.
Only problem I see is that the situation about the dark and light gods technically was never resolved, so the issue would still be ongoing.
Also, the situation is inevitably rigged towards the dark gods, because they only need one win. The light gods need to constantly win in order for the world not be destroyed, so that's an issue^^°

This is book 7 and the final entry in a fantasy LitRPG series relating to a system apocalypse set on Earth. The author is finally reaching the endgame where an apocalypse is possible. This book does start out a little slow but it ends up being a satisfying ending to the series.
This was a enjoyable LitRPG series but not one of my favorites. The protagonist having so much knowledge of the system from the beginning was less interesting to me.
Good book, a bit anti Russian, which was distracting. Russia regards war as a science, other more realistic directions in character development would have been interesting. And the free speech mention was nice, but inconsistent with the current reality, unfortunately Europe.
This was definitely the worse book in the series. The first part read like an encyclopedia of skills. One skill description after another with a page of dialogue here and there. There is one big boss fight then the book fast forward 20 years where the MC is board and decides to leave the solar system. Terrible ending to a good series.

There are paragraphs and paragraphs galore about skill explanations. I've never seen a book in this genre take liberties that much. The first 130 pages are shippable rehashing and updates on skills. What the actual hell is this author thinking?! I'm done with this author entirely.
A fitting end to a great story. Although the fight in the end wasn’t that difficult for the main character and I thought there could have been more interactions with his girlfriend during the book, it is still a good end to the story.
On kindle the book only goes to 83% everything afterwards is his status page (17%)

The series was great from start to finish and I thoroughly enjoyed the entire thing. And I needed to add 5 more words to be able to write a review so here they are lol
Excellent writing, great main character. I loved this!
Of the facts I know, there were few serious errors (light only pierces 1km into the ocean, and similar). Excellent grammar with very few errors… though my kindle copy did have a couple of copy-paste duplicates.
I very much enjoyed the journey, and can honestly say I will miss Isaac Thoma, who by any standard is an excellent fellow. Please write more about the next chapter of his adventures!!
