Another great book in this new series!

Dax still has problems with the Nazi werewolf bikers. Mainly because he burned down their bar and annihilated a bunch of them in book one (after they tried to assassinate him). Now there is a new leader in town, and he's scary.

Luckily, Dax for all his hard time adjusting to a human life, is still collecting friends. The wolf girl, Jamie, Beaudreax and the Rat, the voodoo priestess, Delphine, and a new one in this book, Ragnar.

I'll let you find out what's cool about Ragnar besides his name. But as the stakes raise, so does Dax. And in this one we get to see him be scary!

For great action adventure urban fantasy, you can't beat this series. Plus, who doesn't love to hate a bunch of Nazi bikers?

You don't want to miss this one, and with three books out, it's time to binge!

I love that in the third book of a series I am still seeing character development. Growth on the page pulls me further and further into a person's psyche and for character driven books I think that's really important - C Thomas Lafollette writes that growth very well and it plays a significant role in the appeal of these stories for me. It really drives the story forward and keeps it fresh. And the found family arc is getting better and better with new characters added - even Dax is astounded at the growth of his circle of friends! I do enjoy spending time with the old favourites though. This author does not create run of the mill characters so expect your imagination to be working overtime as this story is peopled with astonishing, offbeat and memorable individuals.

The Nazi bikers (who could have ever pictured antagonists like that?!) are a scary bunch and seem to breed like rabbits, popping up ready to create carnage in each book. They never get the message about leaving Dax alone though.....which makes for intense action scenes, mysterious happenings and this time, the appearance of a goddess of death! I loved Dax's reveal during the last battle - it was used so effectively and described perfectly to peak the tension for the climax.

Dax's tearoom seems to be functioning more and more as the heart of his 'family', as a kitchen does in a home. I find this appealing because it's a safe space and a level playing field for discussions and planning, or when there's time is this frantic world, relaxing.

Morty is still his mischievous self and growing into a handful! Who doesn't love the positive vibes an animal companion brings to a book?? And I am starting to wonder if there isn't something 'more' about him too.

I look forward to continuing with this series and recommend it to other readers.

Dax is once again in engage in violent conflict with a massive pack of Nazi werewolves’ bikers who are motivated by both revenge for the damage he inflicted on their organization in the last book, “Death on the Rocks.” There is also another more sublime motive that as yet to be reveal but the clues points to one of the death gods as the patron of these Nazi werewolves and their goal is to eliminate Dax. Dax on the other hand, is slowly coming out of his solitary shell and opening up himself to more people as he enlists allies in his fight against the werewolves. Among these allies is the enigmatic “Rat” whose bond and control over rodents goes beyond just whispering. He is a formidable ally in his own right.
Dax and his allies struck another heavy blow to the Nazi werewolf biker pack, but they appear to be like cockroaches continually spawning oblivious to the damage being done to them. They will be back! This is an enjoyable book and I highly recommend it.

Another great addition to the Red City Reaper Series!

Once again, we’re with Dax and his friends in Redemption City. I cannot praise this series highly enough. It has plenty of action, enough humor to have me laughing out loud, but there’s also gross things too. The trek through the sewer comes to mind. However, I also feel this story is about Dax and him becoming more and more a part of his community. In each story, he meets new people and they end up in his circle. I have to admit though, Morty wasn’t in Book Three as much as I would have liked. Then again, Dax didn’t really spend a lot of time in his apartment in this one either. I can’t wait to see what happens in Book Four!

Got myself engrossed again with Dax being like a magnet for trouble with the Naxi supremacist bikers. But he's getting help from his growing mismatched ragteam. Jamie's character is growing at a fast pace, getting help from Manman Delphine and becoming friends with Suzie who had an unknown ace up her sleeve. The suspense escalates with a kidnapping, grissgrass voodoo, bar fights, a and a brutal rescue mission amped up the storyline. The end is nail biting tense. The old and new characters made a mean team, even Hel made an appearance again. I'm drooling for more of this fab series.

This book, as with the others in this series, had me reading obsessively. The characters are growing into their stories as they grow into their lovely found family. The plot also expands, allowing for more characters and greater conflict, which draws the characters even closer. It is an interesting bunch of the supernatural and unique people who find each other through shared enemies. If you love Urban Fantasy, continued character growth, found family, and really horrible bad guys, this is for you!

Dax's story continues as the bikers continue their effort to exact revenge. Along the way his circle of friends and acquaintances grow, no longer alone. We are introduced to more magic workers, and new and interesting characters. This is a fun, fast paced UF, with great characters, and a mystery that I can't wait to see unfold.

Absolutely loving this series! Each book has been such a journey! This book continues Dax's story with so much action, revenge and the unravelling of an underlying mystery that I can't wait to find out! This along with the great MC's and secondary characters makes this such a compelling read. I don't want to give away any spoilers and highly recommend you jump in and enjoy the ride!

Evil strikes again

Dax is just running his bar and minding his own business when another chapter of the Black Suns track him down and try to kill him again. Now Dax and his friends are going to return the favor, and try to get rid of the Sun's once and for all. I love the characters in this series and really enjoy the paranormal aspect of the stories. I am looking forward to more of Dax and his friends in the stories to come.

Another fine story!
I really enjoy books in a series that are capable of standing alone, rather than having to read them all in order to have them make sense. These books are entertaining above all - you know you haven't been wasting your time when you get to the end - you just want more. Good stuff!
I received an ARC copy of this book and am under no obligation to review it.

The red line of the storyline is in every book is the same. A gang of Nazi wolves is trying to kill Dax with assassins or with bikers gang. So he needs to save himself and others around him. In overall an easy, but still an enjoyable reading.

What else can try to kill Death?

You can't get away from the bad wolf shifter neo-nazies bikers. Or the corrupt police. But this series just is fascinating! More?
