When you hear the word “Bitch” you often think of a female dog, or a word that’s so offensive you wouldn’t dare use it as a title of a book. Not Deja King in this drama filled book titles “Bitch” This five part series book follows the life of Precious Cummings and her journey through sex, men, death, lies, betrayal, and most of all drama. All these qualities packed in to these series show just how good Deja King is at her work. Just by reading these series I discovered “Bitch” to be my favorite book for many reasons. “Bitch” title is very controversial and very irrelevant to the book. This book relates closely to real life individuals. The violence taken place in this book is stomach crunching. Lastly the characters in this book are very unique individuals.
This book “Bitch” is about a girl named Precious Cummings who came nothing but was determined to have it all. She used her beauty, body and street smarts to change the game. In the book she meets Nico Carter, her love, friend and most of all someone who changes her life around. She quickly transforms from little ghetto girl to holly hood star and is determined to hold on to her position even if it means crossing the man who made it possible. Just when she believes the dice have rolled in her favor, Precious has to answer for the web of deceit that she has set in motion. In the Precious is never called a bitch or described as a bitch. In fact she’s a wonderful loving girl. I like this title because it draws a lot of attention to the book but its full of more interesting things inside.
I can relate to many things in this book. First way is that she has a certain attitude about her that resembles me a lot. If you cross her she’s liable to give you what you deserve and that’s the same for me. Another way is in the third part of the series. She is strong and determined to get her daughter back and I’m the same way with something that belongs to me.
The crimes in this book are very stomach turning. Precious kills many people that stand in her way but my favorite is at the gas station when the guys tried to set her up. She blew the fire station up and drove right down the street like nothing happened.
I recommend this book to any women or man. It’s shows much drama and it’s a very good book to read despite the title.

This book was so good. I listen to it on audible. It has been a while since I’ve heard an urban book series that literally had me not wanting to stop listening. There were so many twists and turns and a lot of webs of deceit that was woven that really kept me entertained. This book is very different from other urban books, I’ve listen to in such a long time. This book is definitely a good read and or listen and it’s not your typical hood Book so I highly recommend this Book now I’m going to start on book 2 in a series.

I had heard about this series but I was so turned off by the title until I decided that I wasn't going to read it. Outta the blue I just kept hearing how good this writer was as well as the series so I decided to give it a shot. Well, I AM SOOOOO GLAD I DID because I read this book in 5 hours and because I ordered the first three, I dived into the second on asap. I've managed to move away from the title and REALLY enjoy the book. Precious is something else, thats all I can say! I will be placing my order for the last books of the series today so I can keep it moving with the series!! Excellent read, never a dull moment!!! Thanks Eva, your review got me...lol!!!

I thought this was a really good book. In fact I read it in less then a day and I am on to part 2 which is Bitch Reloaded. Bitch 1 was a real page turner.I am looking forward to reading the rest of the books in the series. Its about a girl named Precious Cummings who grows up in the hood. When she is 14(or 15) her mom(who is a alcoholic/addict)tells her she needs to bring her $1000 by the end of the month or get out of the apartment they live in so she can rent her room out for cash.
She has a job at a car detail shop, but begins to look for a "hustler" so she can not only pay her Mama but also so she can live as a Queen with her King.And that's where the page turning excitement begins......

Good Novel To Start The Year Off With!
It's been years since I first read this book and I was still highly intrigued as I reread it. Some things were familiar to me, but the pace in which everything happened kept me flipping the pages. On to part 2.

On to the second book! I knew this would be a great book - almost all of my friends have read it and rated it 5 stars and the few who rated it under still rated it 4 stars.
If the whole series is like this I'd buy the next 20 books - this is the type of series that should be kept going (from what I see so far) unlike the majority of urban fiction series that are mediocre and bland and should stop at one book.
Precious Cummings/Mills is damn near as great a character as Winter Santiago. Enough said right?

This book was a cannot put down one. It was off the hook. I really enjoyed how Precious Cummings handled herself at the age she was and the things she had to do to get where she wanted to be.

Honestly the idea or storyline is really not good I think it’s high school level writing at best. I only stayed interested bc I like how stupid the main chick is, the way she talks and acts and I don’t mean ghetto I mean seriously. Bc who wants to be a trick she deadass thinks she’s that bitch for a fact even if you are beautiful no not everyone is hating on you for starts and not everyone’s man wants you. Again she wants to be hoe which is crazy while saying she don’t wanna make it out but staying going after hood guys makes not since drug dealers at that and she wants to be a kept women with a nigga in jail like what sense does she make. And again it’s set up stupid her mom couldnt get clean for years but magically did when she makes up with her daughter for 5 seconds she conveniently dies girl bye I saw that coming a mile away. The books it’s stupid i honestly would never recommend this book to anyone but will I finish the book and move on to the other 6 yes, yes I will. I’m invested in her stupidness at this point. Maybe that’s why everyone else loves it so much but definitely a 1 star in my book.

The beginning
Bitch the beginning ( Bitch Series Book 1) by Joy King is a good and amazing read. Ms. King does a good job. I have been reading her books since 2006. The storyline is on point and it’s phenomenal story.
Precious doesn’t have no one to teach her how to be peaceful and love. She’s a beautiful and amazing person but she’s dealing with the wrong crowd. Nico Carter is not a good man for Precious. Inga is a selfish and disrespectful person. When she meets Supreme, her life is turning around to become a better person. I felt bad for Rhonda.
I can’t wait to discuss this book on Deja King Diamond.

This is a good series to read, however there are spin off's from the characters, if you are not able to read different book in between the series then you will be lost trying to understand why certain players of the story line suddenly develop a main focus point. This series has Stacking Papers attached to it.

Good read but not relatable at all. Everyone dies besides Precious and I find it really hard to believe she’s still walking around unharmed. Also I felt like she was 18 throughout the whole book until the end when she finally turned 20. So many head scratching moments in the book when you think of it logically. Overall decent read. Gonna read on to see if she dies because I kinda want her to.

This is the first book I have read from Deja King. Yes I know I am late but boy her books are wild. Precious is a beast. Not one to be played with. I can tell this is going to be a great series. Can't wait to read the next book.

I made a wrong choice in my life that landed me in prison. The Bitch Book was the #1 book going around. This book helped me out alot. Just like Precious I found the love of my life. I left the streets behind and began a new fresh life. It's 100 in my opinion. I recommended for all to read

The book I read was Bitch by Deja King. The book takes place in Brooklyn and the main character is Precious Cummings. This book was recommended to me by my mom. She told me that she read this book when she was around my age and downloaded it for me to read on a kindle that she gave me.
At the beginning of the book, we meet Precious and learn about what is going on in her life. She has no dad and her mom is addicted to crack and a prostitute. At the age of 15, her mom gives her an ultimatum to either pay her 1000 dollars a month or to leave their apartment. She decides to use her looks to her advantage and looks for rich boyfriends to give her money. After her first boyfriend ends up killed, she meets Nico Carter. She truly loves him and they end up getting engaged. Then she finds out that he is cheating on her and her heart is set on getting revenge. She sets him up for a double murder charge and he goes to jail. By this time she is 18 and she doesn't have to worry about her mom anymore and she moves to New Jersey. She then meets Supreme and they get married. In the end, Nico gets out of jail shooting her and killing her unborn baby. The main conflict in this book is that Precious is running away from her past and that she is willing to murder anyone who is standing in her way.
I liked how the book ended even though it was a cliffhanger. This made me want to read the second book more to see if Precious lived or died. There are many good parts in this book but overall Precious has some of the best quotes. My favorite parts of this book are when Precious and Boogie spend time together in his shop. These were my favorite parts of the book because during these times Boogie would give her advice and be that father figure in her life that she never had.
