Lovely little collection of quips, comebacks, and jokes from a variety of historical and political figures. For 195 pages, it was easy enough to digest across a few uninterrupted sittings. Among my favorite had to be FDR accidentally walking in on Churchill getting out of the bath and Churchill declaring that the Prime Minister of Britain had nothing to hide from the President of the United States or when one of Agnes Macphail's male colleagues asked if she wished she were a man, Agnes replied "no, don't you?"

I enjoyed this funny book of political comebacks. Each told the context of the quote, for ease of comprehension.

195 pages of satirical comments collected from different lies, follies, hypocrisies said in a presidential year. Its a great book to read for a few laughs concerning the upcoming election. It is to much to digest in one month., had to spread it over a few. My favorite was a follows....

'What part?" Sorenson asked. "The part about , "Ask not what your country can do for you....? No, Nixen said. "The part that starts, 'I do solemnly swear..."

I thought I would enjoy this more than I did. I found the people who said what was quoted quick minded and I admired them for that. Some of it though I found offensive and some of it was hurtful when it need not be. I knew it was about quick comebacks and I was OK with some of them, but some of them were more than I was comfortable with.
