I traded my career and livelihood for a life of leisure in St. Catana that guarantees my freedom and eliminates the chances of extradition. Not only for me but for my family as well. Two years ago, our superior’s freedom was on the line. To secure his rightful place amongst his siblings, a sacrifice had to be made.
I was the sacrifice.
And, in ninety days, I am set to marry a Valentine who hunts, kills, and deals for a living. His head is as hot as it is large. He’s a troublemaker. He’s a liability to his family and mine. My job? Turn him into an asset before the government turns him into bait.
While that job might be simple, due to my extensive background in mental and emotional health, getting down the aisle isn’t. Because he’s not the only man’s mind I’m willing to infiltrate. Past affiliations lead me down a dark, sinister path that emphasizes my betrayal, dishonesty, and disobedience. In the end, I’m left scrambling to make good on the promises my family made. The only issue is that I could easily sacrifice my body. It was my heart that troubled me.

4.5 ⭐️ GREY YOU HAVE DONE IT AGAIN 3 for 3 this year with book releases.
We've entered the world of Rather and Priest. I mean, we can feel their connection from the start. This was just fluff, just a lovely love story. An arranged marriage is established and Rather is the sacrifice in order for Chemistry to be free. Rather was quite willing to make this sacrifice for her family and to learn to love her new husband. Priest, as the leader of the family, must make this agreement happen regardless of the consequences to keep the Triad intact. Rather is poised to marry Kofi, Priest's brother, and it was pleasant to see how they interacted and recognized their responsibility to their family.
Two years ago, unknowingly, the two met up in the notorious room PS102. This encounter brought Rather and Priest together mentally, physically, and spiritually. They were soul mates, just waiting to meet again. When this is recognized, mayhem ensues. I enjoy a good forbidden love story. They can't remain apart; it's as if they need each other to breathe. Priest was simply a dream, but one thing Grey will do is write a male mc . I admired his boldness and the way he clearly cared for Rather. He was quite mature, but he exuded a commanding intensity that demanded your whole attention. He was deliberate in his actions and ultimately got his woman… I was screaming the whole scene cause I really wasn’t expecting that ending. My favorite scene was Rather and Princeton's first encounter at the Country Club, which was beautiful.
I'll admit that I wanted more action on the Rather part. I wanted to experience "The Therapist" in action. Grey's portrayal of powerful dominating women with the R sister is unique and refreshing, and I hope Rugger's novel allows us to see the sisters in action. There were so many wonderful moments, and if my review wasn't enough to persuade you, simply take the opportunity and read it.
The ending of this book really saved it for me. I wanted a lot more details when it came to the arranged marriage and Rather’s protection but baby, it’s just something about a man going to get his woman that’s gonna do it for me every time. Priest was a dream and most of my favorite moments included Rugger, Roulette, and Princeton 🤎
🎵🎶“I need a gangsta… to love me better… than all the others do”🎶🎵
That was what Rather wanted in her man, lover, and husband and eventually that is exactly what she got. In order for Chem to be free, a sacrifice had to be made and that came in form of Rather entering into an arranged marriage with a liability no less. However, even though it wasn't an ideal situation she was ready to make the most of it and would do anything for her brother that gave up everything for her and her sisters. Rather was all in until she realized a man she thought she would never see again was a possibility. Priest...was that gangsta, that boss, that lover that she could only dream of.
Priest was the head of his family. He made sure their empire ran smoothly so they all continued to live the carefree lives that they were used to. He unfortunately made the bad decision of procreating with a trash azz female, but it left him with a sweet boy Princeton who happened to be brilliant and nonverbal. For years his son was his only focus until he decided to find a way to get some unattached tension out. However, that was the last thing his experience left him. It left him fully attached and longing for years.
When Rather and Priest finally realized who they were to each other, it was a wrap. Their minds said stay away, but their bodies and hearts said get closer. These two were fireworks in the bedroom and the yin to each other's yang outside. I just loved them together 😩😩. Priest was everything, everything you hear me. He gave mature, sexy, boss, with a splash of crazy killer ( I liked it 🤷🏾♀️) and most importantly the BDE was loud and strong.I could go on and on about them, but they gave us Grey's signature BIG love and she stressed me right up until the end.
I have to close with just a few people I loved. Baby Princeton he was my fave and I loved everytime he blessed the page. The sisters, because they all were spicy (Ruggers my fave). Kofi, I actually liked him. He was funny af, honest, and just gave off good vibes. Chem because who doesn't love the protector that he always is.
Grey you did it again. I can't wait to see them in action mode in Ruggers book.
I had high hopes for Rather, and while there were aspects I enjoyed, the overall experience was somewhat disappointing.
The prologue was particularly captivating. It beautifully set the stage by showing how Rather and Priest came to be, with vivid descriptions that made their interactions easy to visualize. The beginning of the book was also well-written, painting a vivid picture of Rather’s life on the island, her bond with her brother Chemistry, and her connection with her sisters. The departure from the island was heart-wrenching, pulling at the reader’s emotions effectively.
However, after this promising start, the book took a turn for…stale. The plot became dominated by sex scenes, which, while not inherently problematic, overshadowed the character development. The potential depth in Priets’ relationship with his parents and the dynamic between Princeton and Rather was left fully unexplored.
Moreover, there was really no real explanation as to why it was difficult for Rather and Priest to be together. Rather was promised to the family, specifically to Kofi, but once she realized her desire for Priest, wouldn’t she have let Kofi know? The conflict felt forced, as marrying into the family should have been acceptable regardless of which brother (as the father confirmed at the end of the book), particularly since she knew Priest before Kofi.
Despite my criticisms, Grey Huntington can write her butt off and will continue to read her works. She has a unique voice and storytelling ability, but Rather fell short for me, leaving much to be desired in terms of character development and narrative complexity.
I expected this story to be an unforgettable experience. And I was correct. Once again, the character named Chemistry showed why he is always several steps ahead of everyone else. I hoped Rather, the Therapist would be the healer in this story. In a way she used her analytical super powers to help both Priest and little Prince. Rather's persona was smooth and also calculating. I wondered how Priest and Rather would handle the planned marriage part. Priest was the right match for her even though she was chosen for another man closely connected to Priest. I loved this story completely. I can't imagine what's next. I'm ready...
Priest and Rather’s connection was everything from the very beginning. Priest was such a good father. Princeton was too cute. Kofi actually grew on me. He was young and immature but he wasn’t a bad guy. I’m loving this series.
This review is a spoiler so don't read if you don't wanna be spoiled.
Ooo Rather 🤎
Rather was so soft but also giving fuck around and find out.
She really was ready to make the best out of being the one sacrificed for her family.
But babbyyyyy, those few nights in PS102, 2 years ago really fucked the plans up lmao
I really do like that she tried but she was also like, Kofi said he gon do whatever tf he want for 90 days so I'm not about to battle with my damn heart and body.
I KNOW THAT’S RIGHT!!
Priest gave me “you can have whatever you like” energy. Mhmm
When that man saw that birthmark it was over! “Rose” His Rose, His Dear. his forbidden lover. Y’all, I screeaaamed lol cus this the type of forbidden shit I like to read. You hear me?
Ugh I lowkey want more of them lol
Here are some of my favorite parts: - Rather reading Hailey for filth lol - Woody and Princeton🥹 - Princeton and Rather, I cried everytime they made progress. - Priest’s mom - “Don’t bleed on this motherfucking tux, nigga. I’m going to need this up off of you.” - Rugger and her comments/threats - PS102🤭 - The lakehouse
One thing Grey is gonna do is make your fall in love with those damn characters. 4.5⭐️

“Can I call you Rose, cause you’re the sweetest like a flower in Bloom “🌹
Rather & Priest are embedded in my mind , body & soul , im done reading for today a pure love story my goodness.. I will forever cherish in my Heart ♥️
I am going to always praise GREY , the way she have the power to articulate throughout her storytelling is immaculate.
I have to keep telling my self to breathe cause I was holding my breathe the entire time , and THAT is what grey does to you. It’s so fulfilling all you can do is Hold 😮💨
I wish I can go back to yesterday and start this book over for the very first time…
Princeton perfect little human . I am obsessed…😍
I never expected anything less when I started the Prologue , cause I know how she’s coming each and every time and if y’all not in Huffington world you are sadly missing out. 🥹
SN THE SISTERS how love on one another Who run the world girls! Rou, Rome , Rug , Roam, Range , Royce, Egy and I’m happy they added Kleigh .
I always love when Teddy make an appearance. It’s Everything!!
KOFI is a fool / real one with Killian , I’m just was happy he wasn’t unbearable. ( I can see grey making a story about them somewhere Down the line.
That’s all for now!!! just stop whatever you reading and take a sip of this 🥰🥰
This book had me in a headlock for two day. The prologue centered around this meeting at the Mansion. The Whirlwind of emotions really set my heart up for this insta-love story. Then two later years the story really starts. I was completely enthralled in this love affair. GH writing style is unique. She really knows how to flesh out a character. I can always visualize in my mind what going on because it's always very detailed. The anxiety i had reading. The angst, the spice, the freakiness, the possessiveness all level 5.
3.5-4⭐️ and 4🌶️ So what do you do when you have 90 days to fulfill an obligation of an arranged marriage, but then you realize the man you fell deeply in love with before this setup was his brother? Whoa.
Since Chemistry, l've been excited to dive into the lives of his 7 sisters. After the prologue in his book, we were told that the Grey List is female-centered and I was SOLD. I wish the prologue explained WHY this arrangement was happening. Not even going to hold yall, that first half was a struggle for me. The last 30%? Amazing. I wish that energy & dialogue was reflected in the first part.
I wanted more of Rather. Her POV seemed like the secondary story. Her mouth is smart and her strap is always ready. I hate that we didn't see that until halfway through. Loved her bookstore idea as well! All of my favorite parts in this novel were from her POV & we got less chapters from her. I enjoyed the phone calls with her sisters, getting to know Kleigh, and of course her time with Princeton. 🥹The explanation, love, gentleness, and light shined on autism warmed my heart.
I would love a deeper dive and explanation of the Triad, the families involved, and a look into their crimes. That's what I was expecting more of based on the brief introduction of it in Chemistry. How is this arrangement beneficial to the Valentines, Childer's, and business? What business? Are any other sisters going to be volunteered as tribute? What does she do to the people in her chair? Why don't they survive?
Rather and Priest, if nothing else, they were poetic and passionate. Their scenes and conversations read like poetry and I hope the girls are still swooning. 😍 Kofi was wild but hilarious and I'm satisfied with how his story ended. I cannot WAIT for Rugger and Roulette's stories because they were the reason for the laughter I encountered throughout this book.
Priest and Rather were a dreammmm!!✨✨🫶🏾🤗🥰🥰🥰 First of all, the father and son relationship between Priest & Princeton...my heart could not handle it!!! I loved Princeton and honestly I'm more elated for his happy ending 🤗 Rather was the perfect mother for him and it really warmed my heart to see the bond they had right away💕 I actually loved Kofi and his personality....I really hope we get to see how his story turns out. Also, can we talk about how Priest really came thru in the end!!!🗣️ He was not about to let that shit go down that way and I'm so glad he came thru cuz I was starting to get nervous!🤣 I can't wait for Rugger's story!!!🤗
So. Rather. One of the 6 Childers gals. The Therapist.
What a read. Priest was giving me Mercer vibes. He was giving Berkeley Bred. Maybe it was just me. Needless to say, I was smitten. Absolutely locked in. The passion. The chemistry.
It was Princeton’s progress. Kofi’s uncouth colloquialisms. Rather breaking pockets. Chem’s cameos, unwavering support, and breadcrumbs of wisdom.
I can’t lie, I wanted to see Rather marry Kofi. I agree it would have muddied the entire thing, but still. Lol.
I have a permanent footprint on my neck because Grey does not let up.
I really enjoyed this book. The chemistry (lol 😂) between Priest and Rather was amazing and the way he speaks about her had me blushing. I'm giving it 4 stars because I expected to see more of the therapists' ways in handling kofi. I didn't see much of her work as the therapist, it was mainly romance and that's okay. I just expected a little more action but apart from that, it's a really good book. Enjoy!!
4.5/5 ⭐️ | Imagine falling in love with your person two years ago, just to learn that you’re promised to marry their brother in 90 days.

“For a woman he loves, even a woman he likes enough, a man will not have to be asked, told twice, urged, or reminded… He just will. Anything. Any day. Any time. Any place. Nothing will ever be too much to ask of or expect from him.”
This series is so damn good!!! If I wasn’t a Grey believer before, The Grey List has transformed me into a Stan! I absolutely loved Chemistry down and thought Rather has big shoes to fill, she can’t possibly. Well lil’ sister did that! Totally different feels but still an amazing read. I was team Priest from the word Go.
Rather and Priest had an undeniable connection from the start. Despite their devotion and loyalty to their family, fate had other plans. I loved seeing another glimpse into the composition of the triad families and this did not disappoint. I enjoyed the growth of Kofi as well throughout this novel. It is a great example of how fear can present as wreckless. The Therapist showed up and really helped Princeton, wh ich I truly enjoyed as he deserved to experience the love of a mother figure. The blending of their two powerhouse families will be super interesting going forward. I have pre-ordered Priest's book and can't wait for it to release. The magnetic connection between Priest and Rather was captivating from start to finish. They imprinted on one another from their initial meeting and it only got better with time. Two years couldn't extinguish that flame.
Kudos on another great story Grey.

This book was everything to me. I truly loved Priest; he embodied love, peace, comfort, compassion, leadership, protection, and much more. He was exactly what Rather needed. I also appreciated how Rather could be Priest's source of peace. She radiated femininity, showing her soft side with him and being unafraid to let him take the lead. I felt the love seeping through the pages. It goes without saying that this was a 5-star read for me, just like all of Grey's books are, in my opinion. 🤎
I love their story from the beginning to the end of this book. Their chemistry and passion seemed palpable. Priest gave her a soft space and love that showed through his actions. Rather fell fast and hard for Priest and she had every right to do so. She had some high standards and knew her worth. She definitely stepped out of character for him - leading with her heart instead of logic. It was becoming a little intense toward the ending, but I’m happy with how their story was told. This story was chef’s kiss and I definitely recommend.
Rather was absolutely amazing! I’m never disappointed with Grey’s books. She captured my attention with her long prologue.
I was so obsessed with Priest & Rather. I didn’t know what to expect and that was the exciting part. Gave me something to look forward to. The story was so captivating and very entertaining. I just adore Princeton, the cutest!
This might be in the top 5 of Grey men. Luca forever hold a special place in my heart but the way Priest was set up. The competition is real.
I wanted to love this book because I simply adore the author. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. Rather felt boring and wordy, with bits and pieces capturing my attention here and there. Rather felt like a filler episode in a tv series in between major plot filled episodes. I am hoping that in the grand scheme of this series, Rather was just setting the scene and the rest of the books will have more action and plot. I will keep reading the series though because I LOVE Grey Huffington!
The prologue was too long for me and it took me a while to realize I wasn't reading Rather's POV. Overall this story was God, the chemistry between Rather and Priest was showed well. I wanted to see more of Rather as a therapist or her passion behind it. One thing I hate though is the fact that everything Chem taught Rather and his sisters seemed to fly out of her head as soon as she was with Priest. It's almost as though as she forgot that she was a strong woman.
OMGEEEEEEE!!!! The sacrifice was too much!!!! Ms Huffington knows how to strum my emotions! I felt the attraction, chemistry, passion, and love between Rather and HIM. Amazing story!!!!!! I would have been able to have for a different ending!
