Looks like I get into trouble making doughnuts. Who would have guessed? When this hulky coal-gray guy showed up in my cafe, I thought he was one of the many customers. He is handsome and I won't mind dating him, but a customer is a customer. Yet... Maybe he has other plans, which I'm not going to like.
He grabs me from the street, tosses me onto his spaceship, and demands doughnuts. Except I'm not going to make it easy for him. If he wants doughnuts, he has to work for it. He can't kidnap me and expects I'd accept my fate just like that.
I'm going to fight and get back to my own mind. He can't keep my heart or my body!
I am very easy to please, I love to read and I love alien Sci-fi romance but I almost abandoned The Alien’s Treat multiple times due to the very simplistic and unimaginative writing, but I did finish it. I give one star for the effort and guts it takes to publish and I am so sorry to be so critical in my review but I had to be honest in my opinion.
I liked the idea here in The Alien’s Treat and was hopeful by the description of the book but I could not get past the basic, monotonous and boring dialogue between seemingly unintelligent characters. There was little to no plot and I think there may have been an attempt at humor but unfortunately there was no excitement, action or adventure to be had here.
There was no real world building or detail of the places and spaces the characters interacted in and I got no sense or feeling about the universe this story revolved in.
The “sexy or spicy” scenes fell flat with common words, generic descriptions and there was absolutely zero chemistry between characters.
The female characters actions/reactions, vernacular and thoughts were really quite childish and so common. The main male character had lost me almost immediately and was only slightly redeeming in his character at the very end.
I really disliked the pointless verbal threats and manhandling of the FMC from both of the prominent male characters. I normally love dark and extreme stories but there really needs to be reasoning, explanation and emotion behind the actions to make you feel something… anything for the characters doing or receiving these types of actions. This did nothing but make you dislike a bunch of dim-witted characters. I actually found some of the minor male characters a little more likable but alas… this was not their story.
This was a quick and engaging book and I loved everything about Serena and Varek and this is there story. Serena is a Baker and owns her own place where she makes donuts and other treats and business is doing very well and when and Alien male comes in wanting donuts she tell hm. He has to wait 30 minutes and he is not happy about but does it anyway. Vrek is alien that’s visiting and wont be here long and he has heard about donuts and wants to try them so he heads to. The shop and is told they aren’t ready and he’ll have to wait and Vrek doesn’t have much patience but he wants them so badly and when he finally gets them he is thrilled and wants more and all to himself so he kidnaps the woman. Serena is kidnapped from Earth by the sexy Alien that liked her donuts and is now telling her to make him more for him and the fleet but she is furious at him and wants to go home. Vrek really loved the donuts and definitely wants more but Serena isn’t happy and refuses to do it which has them fighting each other till Vrek realizes she is his mate but can he win her heart so she will stay with him or does he lose her forever.

A slow bake...Ok so this was a slow burn, well slow bake for me. Ten chapters in and they were still fussing about making donuts, Will she or won't she 😂 I didn't like how quick Vrek was to use force with her but he is an alien, so I guess he gets a pass. Though I have to give Serena props for being a strong-willed American woman. I found myself wishing she'd just stop fighting in case they made good on their threats. Though that part was slow, the spicy parts were nice once they finally happened. This is definitely the sort of read that you have to gage yourself. All in all, it's a good read I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review
This is a cute alien romance that's about Vrek and Serena. Serena owns a doughnut shop and is proofing her doughnuts in the proofer hears the door chime ring. Going to the front she sees a coal-grey alien male at the counter who wants doughnuts. Only Serena doesn't have doughnuts ready and Vrek gets angry waiting since he's on a time limit before his ship leaves Earth, so he kidnaps Serena. What happens afterwards is an engaging story with likable characters along with drama, action, and romance. I volunteer to read and review this copy I'd review.
This was such a fun series opener and I giggled away, throughout. I can't imagine being kidnapped for being a great maker of donuts, but hey, everybody loves a sweet-treat, right? ;P Vrek does exactly that but Serena really doesn't take her kidnapping lightly...making those donuts not taste as fab as usual. Lol! Expect an engaging read filled with drama, action, humour and romance when you dive into this entertaining read :D
This is the first book in the new Alien Snack Searcher Series and I enjoyed getting to know Vrek and Serena in this story. I hope to be able to read more about the characters in this book in the future as well as reading other books by this author.

A highly entertaining story about Vrek who kidnaps Serena so she can make him doughnuts. It takes her a while to warm up to him and his shipmates but finally she accepts he is her mate. Add in the grumpy Captain and the extremely hard bread which makes very funny reading and this becomes a page-turner.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. How Vrek and Serena become a mated couple is certainly unique. She is a bit of a brat but it works well for her. Serena makes life better for Vrek and for the crew in a different way. It is a fun read.
This book will have you laughing from start to finish. I mean who abducts someone because they make amazing doughnuts? But don’t upset the pretty lady or the doughnuts won’t taste right. And don’t forget the magic steps to make the doughnuts taste better!
It’s a story about aliens who try famous donuts and decide they want them on demand and kidnap the baker. I didn’t expect anything amazing or deep, but oh man was the writing not good - it was so mechanical. I made it to 11% (page 25) and just couldn’t go on.
This story is decent. The dialogue is another story. It kind of detracts from the characters. If you can get past that, its not baf. The captain of the ship is really violent and scary. Vrec is likeable after he is set straight how to treat people.
