Talia
A cursed alien tomb on a dying planet? Sign me up! As an archaeologist, that’s a dream come true. Only this time, the curse is real, and it’s an alien male. A warrior as hot as he is deadly, entombed for thousands of years until I disturb his eternal sleep.
I don’t stand a chance. The moment our eyes meet, I know we're meant to be.
I should stay away, let more experienced people take over the first contact.

Like hell. I found him, and he’s mine to study. And if that means getting up close and very personal with the gorgeous alien warrior, it’s a price I’m more than willing to pay.

Kal’va
I should have died with the rest of my species. Instead, they left me behind to watch over their tombs. For thousands of years, my only purpose was to kill any intruders who might disturb the honored dead, and I am skilled at my task. But this latest intruder is different, her presence awakening a passion I've never felt before.
I cannot kill her.
I must claim her.

If other humans have designs on her life, I will show her how far I’ll go to protect my mate.

Wow what an amazing book this was, it grabs you right from the start and takes you on a wild ride with danger, betrayal, corruption, greed and so much more and this is Talia and Kal’va story. Kal’va is the last of his species on Tulla II but he should have died with the rest of his people but didin’t so now he watches over there tombs and kills anybody that come to steal from there graves but when she came not only did she awaken me from slumber but also the passion within my heart and straight away knowing she is my mate and I don’t have to kill the two females they are no threat to his people. Talia is a Xenoarchaeologist that been sent to the dying planet Tulla II where she is to check out and see if there is any evidence architectural to be saved and if so the big corporation will not be happy about any delays. But just at the opening there is a gorgeous looking male who appears to be dead but wakes when she touches him and when there eyes meet she know he is the male for her but her friend Jules panics and races off for help but Talia is afraid of him but how can she save him and his people from being destroyed by the company that has plans for the planet. Daring xenoarchaeologist Talia (h) stumbles upon an ancient alien ruin on the terraforming candidate planet Tulla II which she hopes will prevent the corporate-driven terraforming process that threatens to erase the planet’s history. Talia accidentally awakens Kal'va (H), a formidable humanoid alien in stasis who is revealed to be the last guardian of his race’s relics. Despite initial fears, things heat up quickly between Talia and Kal'va as they explore intercultural relations on a very intimate and steamy level. But danger soon invades the planet when a military force shows up aiming to seize the alien tech, and Kal'va, Talia, and her team will have to work together to stop the external forces who want the tech and Kal'va himself. Loved how Kal'va and Talia are both strong characters who support one another and that she’s the one who awakens and ultimately saves him. Ultra-hot and steamy human-alien instalove fated mates romance with lots of action, adventure, and danger.

Talia is on Tulla II. A terra forming company bought the planet but when ancient alien tech was found archeologists were sent in. She is there to document everything she finds so she can keep the terra forming from occurring. Then in front of a door she finds a body of a male..and what a male. She takes off her glove and bleeds on his! Then she notices he's moving!!!!!!!!!!
Kal’va feels a touch. It's been so long since he felt anything. He's awoken five times, now six. But he senses pleasant. HUH!? Then he hears her...he knows she is to be his. Then he claims her.
For a few weeks she is separated from him while the others on the team do the investigating. Then an unknown ship shows up. Kal'va rushes to his mate's aide. They intercept a transmission and learn that an owner of the terra forming company is there to blow it up and start their terra forming. Now it's a fight not only for survival for themselves but for the ancient tomb and his people's legacy. Will they be able to take out the enemy without losing anyone on their side?
An exciting adventurous story.

This was an enjoyable story that's about Talia and Kal’va. The characters were likable, their personalities were defined and engaging, and their chemistry sizzled. The storyline was well paced with the action, drama, and romance to keep me engaged. Talia an archaeologist is on Tulla to explore and record the ancient ruins before the planet is terra-formed. Talia and Jules went to explore a new section of an Ancient Tomb they discovered. They found an alien laying on a stone in well preserved form. Then the alien starts to come alive, and Jules goes to get help while Talia stays. Kal'va starts to awaken sensing the intruders. Kal'va is the last of his kind alive and is their personal bodyguard against intruders. He wonders why the alarms didn't go off and why he doesn't want to kill the intruder he senses near him. As he awakens further Talia and Kal'va form a connection that begins in this engaging story. What occurs was an enjoyable story I'd received and volunteer to review. Will this discovery be enough to stop the terraforming?

Ancient alien finds his mate when she turns up in a tomb he vowed to guard gor eternity. Talia, human, is an Xenoarchaeologist. She arrives on a dying plant sloted for terraforming by a big corporation. If there's an architectural evidence to be saved, it would cause the corporation delays. Little did she know finding an alien body that looks more like sleeping than dead, she was finding her future. Kal’va has been at rest for centuries. Sensing the beings there is not raiding tombs but actually showing respect, he doesn't attack. The female closest to him he realizes as his mate. With the corporation threatening his mate and ger friends, Kal’va is willing to die for her to protect her.
Talia is no damsel in distress. She's spunky with plenty of intelligence and fire to fight for her friends and mate. Kal’va is like no sleeping beauty alien. He'll fight to the desth and back tomprotect his mate. I loved both Talia and Kal’va. Their devotion and attraction to one another is off the charts.

To know that you are the last of your kind and that the remainder of whatever life you have left is to wake, fight and then sleep again is no real life at all. While sleeping for much of it the knowledge that this is all there is, regardless of the honour of it, must bleed into the subconscious somehow. To then be finally woken for a reason other than fighting must be hard to process, harder still if you find your mate at the same time! Kal'va has a lot to take in and deal with in a short space of time. Talia was intent on getting as much knowledge about the planet, Tulla II before it is repurposed. Yup it is on the plan to be Terra-formed meaning that all life be that plants, animals or former civilisations will be wiped out, never to be seen again. What she did not plan on was finding and then waking an actual inhabitant...
The world-building is wonderful and the characters are so engaging, well the ones you are meant to like of course. I loved it and I hope there are many more!

⭐️⭐️⭐️

My rating system is below.

1 star -- Hated it, or did not finish. I usually only give this rating if some of the content is truly objectionable to me, like if one of the main characters does something really awful, and gets away with it.

2 stars -- Didn't like it. This rating usually means that I thought the writing wasn't very good, the editing was terrible, I didn't like the characters, or it had other major flaws.

3 stars -- I liked it, but had some minor issues with it. This rating means that there were minor editing issues, the story needed more character development, it was just too unrealistic, or had some other fairly minor issue.

The majority of books I read get this rating - I do not consider it a bad rating.

4 stars -- I liked it a lot. This is a high rating for me, and I rarely give a higher one.

5 stars -- I loved it, and will probably read it again. Very few books are good enough to get this rating from me. The ones that do are usually classics.

“So, you survived your encounter with an Ancient, and established friendly relations?”

Talia is determined that an archaeological find not be destroyed in the name of terraforming on creating a new world, but is she over-estimating or underestimating corporate greed and ignorance.

Kal’va has been asleep for more years than humans have been traveling the stars, and in his long life he never encountered a person like Talia.

This done in one stand alone kindle unlimited quick read focuses on the knowledge that can be lost to time, as well as the rush to charge forward with our own innovations and creations, sometimes at the risk of what’s already there.

This book has a wonderful sense of humor, from start to finish. I would enjoy Jules and Paulo getting their own turn centers stage, especially if Talia is there to get a few laughs as they discover what it’s like when the shoe is on the other foot.

After Talia and her crew of xenoarchaeologists find ancient ruins on a dead planet, she gets the surprise find of a lifetime—a gorgeous blue-skinned alien is down in a crypt, looking as if he’s still alive, though he’s been dead for thousands of years. Or so she thinks.
No spoilers here! I can’t say much more because this story is so short. I wished it would’ve been longer for more character development and to better detail the ruins and the ancient civilization that once lived there, but everything was summed up well enough to not lead to any confusion. Talia and her alien mate Kal’va had instant chemistry. They fell into insta-love and insta-lust right away, so if that’s your thing, then you’ll enjoy this book.

I really enjoyed this book. Great world building and wonderful characters. I loved the concept of an alien tomb/artifacts and it's sleeping guardian- the last of his kind. It was a unique premise. I loved both Talia and Kal'va. Their chemistry was immediate. This story wasted no time- both in getting you hooked in the crypt, and then with the 'bonding' of our two leads. We have the language barrier trope, which I've always liked rather than translators that immediately make everyone understand each other. I liked Talia's friend Juliette. The story quickly became a fast-paced adventure. I wish it was longer. 4 stars.

Delightfully different but still loaded with the good stuff! Talia is the xenoarcheologist in charge of exploring some ancient space ruins. Kavla is Talia's protector. Travel or Corp is the evil corporation that wants to terraform the desert planet. The story is short but smoothly written. There is witty dialogue between Talia and her friend and colleague, and then she finds Kavla and the stuff really hits the fan! The story is interesting and exciting. The alien dude is majorly alien, super different, but romance blossoms in the chaos of running for their lives! I loved it all, I hope you take a chance and read it too!

Loved the story. Alien from long, long, long time ago guarding ancient priests temple gets woken up by his one true love. Insta love. Yea, kinda weird but then there was was the oh crap the bad guys are after me kinda deal. It was danger love...? Anyway, that happens. And then you get all the almost immediate sexie time. That was kinda rushed but it was an alien romance. I would have liked more info on how he got there and why. And why his organs are in jars?? But I still liked the read. Enjoyable!

Interactive archeology.
Discovering ancient alien technology on a supposedly barren world is a great start to the story. I liked how Talia and her colleagues came to discover Kal’va along with all the steamy action/suspense that followed. Clearly the lure of fame and fortune is not limited to Earth. It was just interesting to see such a unique and ancient being such as Kal’va connect so well with Tallia on both personal and professional level. Sweet and satisfying with an added tidbit at the end.

Good

This is a novella, set in the distant future, where humans roam the stars.
A xenoarchaeologist and her crew, discover the remains of an alien civilisation on a planet slated for terraforming; remains which include the very much living alien being meant to protect them!
It’s a fast and furious romance, with a dash of instalove, and a smidgen of evil corporate empire, which combine to make an entertaining and enjoyable quick read.
This is a fun book for the sci-fi romance reader, and I admit, I’d love to read more set in this universe.

This story reminded me of the ancient Egyptians' practice of removing the innards of the dead before they were buried but there is more to the story. The MMC is ‘alive’ and had found its mate. There is a lot of action and danger. I was doubtful for a second that our MCs would have a hea as the odds are against them but their love proved to be a great motivator to live.

Talia knew there were warnings of curses when she set out to explore the desolate planet with her crew or archaeologists. What she didn't know was the form the curse would take. Kal'va was left to protect his civilization from tomb raiders. Mating with Talia throws all of his priorities out of line. A great novella.

This was an amazing, short read. I absolutely loved Talia and Kal'va!! My favorite part was when they met. What a way. Dead to life..... Though the ending was a close second.

Spicy insta-lust/love alien MF romance adventure. Super quick read with lots of action. Fun worldbuilding and characters. I would definitely read a longer version and/or sequels. (I actually give this 4 stars but put 5 because some stinkers gave it 2 stars without reviews explaining why.)

Protected by the Alien Warmachine

Interesting and good reading. It's a different type of Alien that is now being described to us. Makes one wonder how many planets or stars have being living on them and what are they like.
