Lady of Sin

My name is Bree Theriot. I'm a struggling single mom of a toddler son on the outskirts of New Orleans. My life was what I'd consider normal... until it wasn't.

"You're going to help me settle a bet."

That's what I was told as I was ripped from my bed by my ankles and dragged to Hell through a portal in the middle of my bedroom by a DEMON.

That demon? One of the Seven Deadly Sins!

Now I'm stuck being their test subject....

Is it wrong that I'm not all that upset by it?

This book is the first in a duet that is part of a larger series. It is a reverse harem #whychoose meaning the FMC has more than one love interest and she does not choose between them.

I liked the whole set up of the Kings of Hell and the single mum Bree. I liked Rellick. At times he fit perfectly as a child character, then there are scenes where he is literally being an Imp and he feels older and then there is a scene towards the end where he degenerates into almost baby talk/toddler speech that didn't make sense.

While I appreciated The Sins basically having their respective demon names, at some point it started getting annoying/jumbled up/confused when a character is referring to another in third person, using their demon, not sin name.

I loved Josie+Maera's sort of side story.

I appreciated the reveal at the end. But, the way the book is setup, prior to the events of "The Sword", other than it being a rescue mission there really isn't much of a thriller/drama/paranormal push to continue on with other books in the story.

Then Luc, not even Levi, flipping out didn't make any sense to me. It was so out of left field and not in a oh, great, I didn't see that coming but I am well pleased by the surprise sort of way. More like WTF did this come from?

So, in conclusion, not bad. Not great but some elements needed to be revised for a greater story.

Phew, the tension, the pulls, oooh, it's spicy and sweet, a recommended read for sure.

Definitely benefit from keeping a notepad nearby as we have seven glorious Kings of Hell, who all dote on Bree (our strong-willed, bratty FMC) in such different ways. Plus, each different King interacts with Rellick (Bree's energetic young boy) in vastly different ways, in a sense competing to be seen as the boys' favourite one.

We get an insight into each King and their relationships with Bree and how their sin is portrayed. Oh yea, the Kings are the Seven Deadly Sins who are shifters 😍 and they all love differently, each favouring a different way to pleasure Bree. Plus, special peens, knots, powers, and piercings, 🥵 what's not to love in all that.

Smutty scenes start off quick to draw you in. Within the first two chapters, we are already getting hot and steamy, but it's replaced with motherly care as Bree is forever devoted to her son.
The Kings soon take turns watching Rellick so they can more undivided attention and time with Bree, leading to five (possibly mistaken) mated bonds and five different brandings on different areas of Bree's body.

There are few grammatical errors, as well as punctuation and spelling errors. Still, it's an amazing book, and I'm very excited for the next ones to be released

What a ride

I loved this book and meeting each “Sin” though I hate the cliffhanger!

The spice is nice, the FMC feels relatable, but I could have done with more talking it out vs silence because she “needs to think it out” haha.

I’m ready to find out what happens next.

Please check any and all triggers; as there are quite a few, though still tastefully done.

😈💙💚💜💛😈

I am obsessed and in love with this series. What a great start and it's just going to get better. That ending was chaotic, knowledgeable, and heartbreaking. Need to know more.

Great cliffhanger!

I know, 'great cliffhanger?!'

I struggled with the first half of this book. Almost put it in my DNF.

BUT, I'm glad I preserved. The story really came together in the 2nd half of the book and had me into it.
