I lied to get a job as a financial planner, and to keep it I have to befriend the two other girls in the office, Alice and Taylor. One’s an uptight priss, and the other’s a thirsty party girl. When we take a trip to stay at a cabin on a lake, I’ll find out I’m not the only one keeping secrets.
But it turns out the three of us aren’t the only ones in this trendy tourist town. There’s our silver fox host who keeps butting in, Taylor’s two-faced hookup, and then I keep thinking I’m seeing someone out in the woods. It might be my imagination, until late at night I hear footsteps right outside our cabin.
It seems like everyone is after something, but they don’t know I’ll do whatever it takes to get what I want.
Girls’ Trip is a disturbingly addictive psychological thriller with a killer twist. It is the first book in the Girls’ Trilogy. This second edition features an expanded ending including a new epilogue as well as the first chapter of the sequel, Girls' Night, which is available now!
Sometimes I think writing makes me crazy, but then again I'd probably be even more crazy without it. There are a lot of things I do to balance out though: traveling, distance running, hiking, reading, orange juice, tennis, food fights, walking out of movie theaters telling the people in line that Harry Potter dies, cooking ethnic food, and competitive napping.
No, really, I’m so damn tired of the plastic surgery/ stolen identity story lines I can SCREAM. Maybe I read this too soon coming off a previous stolen identity plot that pissed me off, but I cannot deal You’re telling me every single character in here is leading a scam, and none of them are believable at all? Alice demands half their pay to be a “protector” and THATS the big secret??? Just malarky. No one was fleshed out at ALL except “scammer”

The plot is immature and the writing is horrific. About a quarter of the way in I realized it was getting worse instead of better and I threw in the towel. The drama of the missing cell phone was more than I could take. Some of the paragraphs were so poorly written I couldn't even figure out what the author meant to say.
Hmmmm.... now I didn't hate it but it was very busy. At one point I thought wow this is way too long, and then I would think wow this isn't going to wrap up in so few pages. The climax is short lived, with a rushed ending. Unlikeable characters and unbelievable events. I'm not sad I read it, but I won't be continuing.
This was a crazy read but in a good way. This does read more YA but who doesn’t love a cabin in the woods trope? It was a wild weekend of chaos & murder.
I think I’m the outlier but I really enjoyed it , it was quick read & I downloaded the sequel
honestly the book had my attention at the title Girls Trip, who doesn't love a good girls trip? i was all to soon disenchanted with the unlovable protagonists as there was no real bonding moment in the book where as a reader you get to know the characters, they were hard to get a read on and IMO never really fully character developed for me to care one way or another about any of them, the continuous twists and turns that often led nowhere or were left to chase another direction, i found the book confusing and for the most part lost interest early on but kept reading because wanted to finish to see what really happened.
Boring… too much back and forth with a lack of an actual plot/story line. I had to skim some sections just to finish the book, and I didn’t miss anything by skimming.
not a horrible Book. Just seemed to have A lot of characters that didnt really "need"to be in the story as much as they Were for example the airbnb host had nothing to do with the actual story he had no connection to the girls So some of his anger and aggression had nothing to do with the final outcome and there was no reason for the lock codes to be constantly Changed. Whatever happened to Wesley? Last we See him he's in the Woods with the security guy. Why did Alice do all of this? What was her reasoning? Just seemed a little unfinished, was the Airbnb host somehow in on it? If he was or wasn't why was he killed? How did Emily know what was going on to "break" the car the day they were supposed to leave? We never see her fix the car after talking with the sheriff so what did she do to it that it was miraculously fixed? This book left me with many more questions than answers.

The layers of the plot were all over the place, but oddly it was also quite concisely told, not much irrelevant context, which is to be expected as the book is only about 200 pages (which I appreciate). There’s loads happening and you close this book with a “wtf did I just read”-feeling. However I wasn’t super impressed with the quality of the storytelling as some bits were quite unrealistic… nonetheless it was definitely twisted and gross and I will be reading the sequel because I need to know how this ends!!
Easy read, writing style extremely immature lots of useless words and sentences that were poorly grammatically structured. also felt like the book ended with no real resolution- i get that this is part of a series but it doesn't seem like the book can stand on its own
This story took off quick with twist & turns. I found this book from a facebook ad & happy that i did. It's apart if a trilogy. I would have finished it faster if it wasn't for adult responsibilities lol like working.
I like this book and the twist and turns, they were so many characters in this story hard for me to keep up with but I did and I know this story ain't over yet.
A solid 3 🌟 for the book, but didn’t woo me because I found myself lost within the plot and details throughout most of the book - maybe it’s the pregnancy brain - but the twist of an ending sent it for earning 3 stars, but hate to leave on the unknown whereabouts of 3 characters 🤔
Overall I enjoyed this story. I was super intrigued to get to the ending and when it did end I was just stunned into silence. Now I’ll need book two because of all the questions I still have!
Well this one was a huge disappointment! Should have been a quick read but struggled to get through it. Not at all what I expected and not in a good way.
Too much. Too all over the place. I had to keep going back to the previous page to see if I missed something. Too many needless characters. I wound up skimming through a lot. It didn’t grab my attention at all
This book made me so anxious lol! I just wanted to know what the heck was going on. It was an easy read and kept my attention, I just wish I received more clarity.
I think someone seriously needs to rethink what makes someone a "best-selling author" because wtf even was this? It's written so poorly. Like someone was trying way too hard to create shock value. the book makes no sense. The person who is "the bad guy" is someone you WOULD least expect it to be because he is only in the book for less than 2 paragraphs before it comes out that he's a stalker. It's honestly pathetic. I could eat a can of alphabet soup and vomit up a better story than whatever this was. Nothing is explained.. not one thing. It's all just a cluster f of non-sensical bs. If I could unread one book this year- it would be this one... and I have read some stinkers. Will not continue the series.
Unfortunately this book was a real disappointment for me. It just didn’t make sense. These 3 would never have gone on a trip together in the first place. They barely knew each other and were already bickering on the drive there. So many unanswered questions…Why was the owner of the Air b&b living like a homeless person next door? What was up with Alice and her creepy “you have to be my servant” spiel? How does Emily expect to return to work pretending to be Alice? Even the job choice was crazy. She was pretending to be a financial advisor but couldn’t even pay her own bills? Just ridiculous!!

No redeeming characters in this. And the ending- basically everyone was out for everyone else for… reasons? No desire to read the follow up and continue with this story.
