Second read:I loved this book, but the part around 45% where Aran gets the consequence for being last in the challenge still makes no sense to me. It just does not fit with the violence of the Legionnaire Games, and it feels like the author absolutely wanted to make this moment public, but was not sure how, so she forced it (iykyk).

Besides that though, I devoured and adored this book, and I am starting the 6th one right away.

4.5 stars

If I am being objective, there could have been more character development in this book, and some aspects or characters were frustrating at times, but since ratings are also based on the vibe and my enjoyment, I will go with 4.5 stars. This book picks up right where Psycho Academy ended, and the action and angst don’t stop until you reach the last page and realize that you now have to wait a few months to devour the next book in this series.

Aran and the Academy’s legion are being forced by the Gods to compete in the Legionnaire Games. Those games are brutal and meant to be a way for the Gods to watch and evaluate each of the chosen legions to decide which ones will lead their army in the upcoming war. Aran wants no part in the war, but she doesn’t have any choice. On top of trying to survive the mortal competition, she has to deal with the misogynistic devil Kings and their daily abuse, which is even worse now that Aran is connected to them through the magical tattoo they were forced to get at the end of Psycho Academy.

The students oozed sexuality.
My teammates oozed strength and power.
I oozed blood because I accidentally ripped the scab off my lips again.

The Legionnaire Games were much more intense and ruthless than the Fae Games from the second book. I knew Aran wouldn’t die, but she came close many times, and she really got roughed up in this book, even more than in the previous one where she had to survive Lothaire’s training and the Kings’ abuse. The Legionnaire Games are violent and cruel, and poor Arabella couldn’t catch her breath. It seemed as if the Gods really had it out for her.

My lungs ached from smoke inhalation.
My soul ached from killing.
My shoulders ached from carrying the weight of being the coolest person at the academy.

I love Aran’s dry humor and her snark. She never backs down from a fight, and she is so strong and resilient. This book is probably the darkest and angstiest of the series because Aran’s depression gets so bad, that it seems like there is no way out of it, and she even considers suicide a few times. I loved the angst, and I am impressed at how the author managed to also make me smile and laugh while reading such a dark and intense book.

John is so sweet, and thankfully he was there to help Aran remain sane through it all. The way he’s always there for her, and is the only one to show her kindness was cute, but also a little heartbreaking. The fact that Aran was so touched by the smallest kind gesture is really sad, and I hope that she will be able to have a happy ending with someone who deserves her and treats her well. John could definitely be that guy, and I love him a lot so far, so hopefully he will remain an awesome sexy bestie to Aran, if not more… But I am not sure the King will be able and willing to share Arabella with anyone after realizing who she was to them.

I’d never been the white-knight type— the devil society that had tortured me while I grew up for being blind had ensured that— but fuck, I wanted to be Arabella’s villain.

If I could see auras like a witch, I’d bet all the gold in the fae palace that all three of the kings’ would be maroon. The color of spilled blood, aggression, lust, evil.

The kings realized in this book how wrong they were about Aran, and how they misjudged her. They changed their behavior toward her, and they even became protective (not to say possessive) of her, but sadly they remain jerks overall. They changed the way they treated Aran, but they still see all the other women as “holes to be used” and they still treat Aran like shit whenever things don’t get their way, especially Malum. It makes him appear as a spoiled child at times. There was still some character development in this book, but there is room for a lot more improvement when it comes to those three, and that is what I am hoping and expecting to see in the final book of this series.

Usually, I ignored the kings. Their opinions were like male thongs. Useless. Disturbing. And literally no one asked for them.

Thankfully, Aran doesn’t forgive and forget that easily, and even though the Kings changed their tunes when it comes to her, she doesn’t care about them and what they want from her. They treated her like shit, and she doesn’t hesitate to let them know that the fact they are now protecting her does not erase all the abuse they put her through and that she is not interested in having any type of relationship with them, which makes me hope that there will be some good old groveling in the next book.

There is some romance in this book, and it is well-developed and realistic, and I loved it even though I saw it coming. It is also more complex than just the interactions between Aran and the three Kings, or Aran and John. There is also sexual tension, conflicted and mixed feelings, and smut, and while there is not a lot of it, it is spicy and sexy, and I can't wait to read more of Aran’s sexy times in the next book.

I am sorry and sad to say this because I know she will eventually end with them, but Aran deserves better than the three devil Kings. I enjoyed the angst that came with them being jerks to her, but she still deserves so much better than them. For them to even come close to redeeming themselves, they would need another full 500 pages of groveling, apologizing, and treating her like a fucking treasure… Then maybe she could consider thinking about maybe someday giving them another chance.

“I see that fire ass still hasn’t gotten the psychological counseling he needs.” Sadie gestured to Malum. “I’d recommend you to Dr. Palmer, my and Aran’s therapist, but she told us that she was considering reporting us to the authorities.”

Crack. Bones shifted in my back, and I was in so much pain that I did something I’d wanted to do for weeks.
I kicked Jinx.
“Did you just kick a child?” Sadie’s jaw dropped, and Xerxes chuckled.

If you are a Sadie lover like I am, you will be happy to know that we see more of her and her mates in this book, as they have been selected by the Gods as the Shifter legion, and they compete in the Legionnaire Games too. We do not see much of the mates, but the interactions between Sadie and Aran are still as wild and ridiculous as in the previous book. I am still laughing at the fact that they pretended to have sex in the shower in Psycho Academy, and the guys are all pissed at Sadie because they truly believe that she and Aran had a wild sexy adventure together.

This was by far my favorite in this series so far! The Legionnaire Games make the Fae Games look like a warm up. As we head into the thick of it with Aran and her team, we learn a lot more about the Academy Legion as a whole. Some of the truths exposed are staggering, and I will immediately be re-reading Pyscho Academy to see what I must have missed during my first read through. This book was a mix of angsty Aran moments sprinkled with fun Sadie and the shifter crew times. So looking forward to book #6, Pyscho Gods.

Let me start this review by saying that I really loved Sadie’s story. And I hate to tear down an authors work.

But, Aran’s story…. total. garbage. Like you took what was one of the best side characters in Sadie‘s story and turned her into a complete waste of a character. I spent the entire first book hoping for something other than Aran getting treated like garbage and not standing up for herself, to the point where I was mad that I wasted so much time reading the first book. I thought surely the second look won’t be that bad.

It’s worst. The field scene where she had to take that punishment? Like are you for real? After everything she’s gone through you do that to her? We get it she’s traumatized from her childhood and terrible mom, but she doesn’t need any more trauma to have some miraculous character arc. Her continued suffering is redundant and unneeded at this point.

How much harder are you going to dig her into the dirt and let this group of devils treat her like dog crap on their shoes before she gets her moment to save herself? And this curse on her back is supposed to be SO bad, but she’s learned to hold the pain in without making a sound as it “shreds her insides apart” but when she has to get stitches she’s crying and screaming? So your telling me the pain in the field scene wasn’t as bad as stitches and mending bones?Give me a break.

And after all they have put her through, they just decided to start being nice and have to do no groveling. She just gives them a pass? That’s a full body no from me dog.

I’m SO MAD you took a great character and made her so flat, lifeless, helpless, and inextraordinary. What a waste.

And let’s not forget the endless details of things that take up SO many words and pages that have nothing to do with the back story.

I honestly don’t have a single good thing to say about this book. Waste of time, wish I could get that back. I will not be reading book 3.

The fact that I finishen this book in a day is saying something. If I’d rated this from vibe and enjoyment only, it’s 5⭐️, for sure. The writing was good, as well. I just can’t bring myself too. But the less of character development and the way some people (😐) are complete wastes of space, means that I cannot.

Aren deserves better. And when I say better, I mean BETTER. If they are going to end up together (I kinda hope not, but at the same time, it would be weird if they did not) I require at least another whole book of groveling. Like, 700 pages, minimum.

Anyways, the book was great. I finished it in a day. That speaks for itself.

Shout out to the author who spent months and hours writing this book for me to finish it in less than a day.

I've been anticipating this book since Psycho Academy, which was my favorite read this year. I quite literally jumped up and down, and let out a little squeal when I got the email for this ARC. I COULDN'T WAIT ANY LONGER. I CONSUMED this book, devoured it, and let me say that Psycho Devils ATE. Let's get into it. (Spoiler Free Review MWUAH)

So Psycho Devils starts off right where Psycho Academy ended, and the ball keeps rolling downhill for about 700 pages. Aran and the misogynist musketeers are forced to compete in the Legionnaire Games, which will test the limits of everyone involved. The Legionnaire games are not only a test of strength, but also a psychological showcase (quick, someone call Dr. Palmer). Aran will have to navigate the demanding games, while also navigating the equally demanding devils in her life.

Speak of the devils (See what I did there? Haha funny... please laugh). They really are.... uh... quite something! (Quick someone give Mitch a tampon) I definitely am starting to like them more than I did in the first book. We get to be inside their heads which is LOVELY (I am a slut for multi pov). We get to understand them a lot better because of this, the way they think and how they rationalize calling women lying whores. So obviously they are *not* going to win personality of the year, but they were giving growth in this book and I'm here for it. They gave us some... kitty purring one liners... like "Open your mouth, my turn." And I'm providing no context for that one. READ IF YOU WANNA KNOW. Definitely gonna have to turn in my feminism card soon. Anywho, I would say my fav of the three is Orion. I love a silent killer type of guy for an MMC, the kind who is toxic but is sweet about it, and who kinda stalks you lovingly... don't tell MY therapist.

Now onto the man who *will* be winning personality of the year. MY bestie John. Sure, Shakespeare wrote Hamlet or whatever, but Jasmine Mas wrote JOHN. I just love that man, and I'm so happy we get to see more of him this book. If you're apart of the John fanclub (Would we be called the besties? The cojohnes? <- spanish speakers I hope you get that one) you will definitely be satisfied with this book. Even though bae is keeping secrets or whatever... (wink wink) I still love that man.

Also, we get to see a lot more of Sadie and her guys in this book than we did in the previous one. So for all you Sadie lovers, you'll get your juice in Psycho Devils.

Now of course as is applicable to everything in life, it gets worse before it gets better. Psycho Devils beautifully captures the spectrum of depression, substance abuse, and the many forms that self harm comes in. Aran is on not just an epic journey of a Queen rising to power, but also as an abused girl who is at the bottom of a hole and can't figure out how to get herself out. So make sure to check out the trigger list on the author's website if you feel you need to do so.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and cannot wait to read the next installment. (Which I will also probably read in finish in less than a day.) I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys true enemies to lovers, paranormal academy settings, a witty FMC, and a golden retriever bestie... who is sexy hot... Okay. I'm off to go maladaptive daydream about hot fictional men loving me ;).

And what do I do now?

When I tell you I have been waiting for this book! I devoured the first 4 books of the Cruel Shifterverse books in 24 hours. I love this series and Jasmine Mas did not disappoint with this one!!

Aran is a badass and even that feels like not enough to describe her.
Think the Hunger Games but more dangerous and hilarious (if that makes sense).

I was so happy to receive an ARC for this and I am legit biting my nails waiting for "Psycho Gods".

No joke, if you can run to start this series it is addicting!!

"If you're going to threaten me, at least make it creative. Burning me on a spike in front of your little house is very cliche."

"Shocker, they were violently angry. Men had no emotional range."

- Saving the world vibe

- Bully Romance
- Why Choose
- Interconnected Standalone with "Psycho Shifters"

I am so happy that jasmine does not take 2 years to write another book. She is a godsend. i have no idea how she juggles being a full time lawyer and author but that is amazing. I cannot wait to read this book and am freaking out 4 months in advance. I also can’t wait when the princes and her dad finally find out what her mom did to her all those years and when we can finally find out what her powers are!!!

Unredeemable…

The other four books walked a fine line with noncon, assault, and other trigger issues, but this book full on crossed the line.

The thank you at the back states that the beta readers helped the author realize that she was making the kings “too cruel” so it went through a lot of edits, but the issue isn’t the cruelty as much as it’s the abuse. The only time the kings show even a little redeemable behavior she’s assaulted in the shower. Sure they don’t go all in cause she’s completely trashed (feel like that was one of the edits) but they do touch her in a place that made me sick to read.
I’m sorry but I don’t know what everyone else was reading because I had to literally skim whole chapters just to get through this book and if she’s to end up with them and not the other two worthy men, then I’m out.

In Sadie’s story at least her men suffer consequences, they actually earn some forgiveness. They show some growth. But the kings have not shown any growth or change and the themes of ownership, slavery, and female hate is extremely off putting especially for men who are supposed to end up with the female lead.

This whole book is just a hell no from me….

I got an ARC and absolutely devoured it - like always. SO GOOD. So many giggles, a lot of little tears, loads of gushing over how much I love Aran.

My favourite line was:

'Usually I ignored the Kings. Their opinions were like male thongs. Useless. Disturbing. And literally no one asked for them.'

Go and read it because it's so good and now I'm sad it's over!!

This is my most favourite book in existence. I've reread it so many times and I still can’t get enough of it. I could write a whole essay about how much I love this book.

It’s my favorite book, not because it is the best book I've read, but because it's hilarious and the most entertaining thing I've ever read. If I made a list of everything I want in a book, it would be a summary of this series (cruel shifterverse book #4, #5 and #6).

The book is a reverse harem. The romance is *chef’s kiss* and it has a great plot. The books have the best slow burn ever. Some of the love interests are extreme red flags, but we’ll ignore that🤭.

Jasmine Mas’ characters are the best omg.

Aran is my favorite fmc ever. I love her sarcasm and how she just doesn't give a shit. It's so funny to see the kings lose it and Aran is like: bruh, I don’t care. Her personality is the best and I love her so much. And she's also so strong. She endured so much and she's still standing. She deserves to get her happy ending. And Aran’s like 6ft tall, so finally a tall fmc!

And the kings (Corvus Malum, Scorpius and Orion), I cannot put into words how much I love them. They all have such different personalities. I've read a lot of reverse harems and often the love interests are copies of each other but with different names and appearances. They are my fav psychos🤭❤️. Not Malum blushing everytime he says something to Aran oh my gosh. Scorpius, my fav sadomasochist. And he’s blind, so yay! Representation!
And I love that Orion stares at Aran, just because he read in a book that if you stared into someone's eyes for over a minute, chemicals would release in their brain that mimicked love🫠.

John <33. He’s also the best golden retriever in the world. And gosh, I love how he calls Aran his little depressed, angry smurf just because she has blue hair.

Sadie and Aran’s friendship is the best thing ever. They’re so funny istg. Not Aran insisting Sadie goes to therapy because she is mated to cobra lmfaooo. I love how they make the men jealous hihihi.

I love the tournament/competitions setting in this book. It was really well executed. And the 4th competition, let me tell you, I was crying alright.

And then the ending holy shitttt. I saw it coming, but it’s still everything I wanted. Can't wait to see the kings grovel in the next book😏.

I think I said “I love that” and “I love how” too many times in this review. Guess I love the book🤭❤️

Aran - Psycho Devils/Academy/Gods

My fav quotes:

Yes, my aesthetic was mental illness; no, I didn't want to talk about it.

“Sorry I didn't respond, I was purposefully ignoring you.”

Scorpius sneered something about me being the problem.
Obviously?

They wanted me to act righteously.
Well then, I was going to be the best person there ever was.
Maybe.
Eh, honestly. Probably not.

Usually, I ignored the kings. Their opinions were like male thongs. Useless. Disturbing. And literally
no one asked for them.

Nothing would make me happier than bankrupting the realm.

Malum stared at me, and his harsh expression softened. "Are you feeling better?"
Great, he was having an episode.

“Get up sluts it’s time to sin”

“To everyone I've done wrong. I just want you to know. I'd do it again.”

It had all started when I was born.
After that, everything had gone to absolute shit.

Physically, I was hideous.
Mentally, I was worse.
Spiritually, I was a slut.
So basically everything evened itself out and I was thriving.

I'd said it before, and I'd say it again: men were deranged, and they should all be shot. On sight. No questions asked.

Malum had forbidden me from lifting and gone on a five-minute rant about how I needed to take care of myself, and blah blah blah.
Truthfully, I’d stopped listening as soon as I’d realized he was the one speaking.

She didn't kill for power; she'd killed for revenge.

It was four in the morning–too early to be dealing with Malum’s bullshit.

My soul's taste in men was officially a form of self-harm.

Did I enjoy this book? Yes!
Would I read this book again? Yes!
Will I continue the series? Absolutely!
Will I read from this author again? Definitely!

I could not put this book down, it is so good, I even decided sleep was not worth it while I read this book. It was so good that even though I got an ARC ebook copy I’m going to purchase a print version just so I can have it on my trophy case, I mean book case. I want to turn around and just read it all over again. I don’t know how I’m going to wait for the next book. I have such a book hangover from this one. I love this world and all the characters. I don’t know how Jasmine does it with being a lawyer and still putting out these amazing books. She’s a rockstar. Side note, I love the change up for the book covers. Much rather see Aran than the guys.
I loved Aran’s snark and how she never backed down. Her internal monologue was so hilarious. I loved how she was so brave even though she was falling apart inside. She doesn’t take shït from anyone and I love her for it. I hope the next book shows some mental healing because she was in a very dark space.
The devils, what can I say about them, I have so many jumbled emotions for them. I hate them and love them. I hope their theme for the next book is groveling. They have sooo much to make up for that at least half of the next book should be groveling for them. I really hated them sometimes in this story. They were so cruel, but I know Aran will make them pay for every slight. I hope Aran really makes them work for forgiveness, over and over.
I don’t want to have any spoilers so let me just say I loved the development in the romance department (wink, wink). I can’t wait to see the relationships develop with the rest of the story and how everything comes together.
There was one thing that bothered me more than anything else and I just felt like it was out of place for the story and it just came out of nowhere. It was a small part of the story and I just felt like it didn’t fit. I’m keeping it spoiler free until after the release and then I’ll go more into it. Regardless still a 5 star read for me.

7/26/23
Ok, that punishment scene with John on the field just did not fit the story. There had been no dubcon or noncon this whole series and we just throw out that punishment. She was just fine dealing with her back enchantment and not pushing herself into anything intimate that would cause pain and then bam this punishment. It just did not fit the plot whatsoever. I was like they are really going to make her do that?! It made me feel a huge ick factor.

I received an ARC e-book from the author for an honest review and all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Thank you to Jasmine Mas for the ARC! 🥰

Oh. My. God.

What the HELL did I just read and why was it so GOOD that I finished it in a single day??? This book literally had EVERYTHING; the angst, the chemistry, the TENSION, the loveeeeee ❤️

I waited months for this book and every day was worth it. I loved seeing Arabella’s interactions with Corvus, Orion and Scorpios even though the three of them made me so mad at times, like???? The audacity these three have is unbelievable. I still enjoyed the characters because even though they are massively (!!!) flawed, they have SO much potential for a redemption arc. I’m really excited to see where all the different bonds with Arabella will lead them to.

John and Luka. That’s it. That’s all I have to say. Okay, no i lied because i have A LOT to say about them. First of all, how did I not see the plot twist??? I had a hunch that there was more behind John’s whole Mr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde thing but the level of deceit??? I felt so dumb when Luka was revealed ngl. I totally, 100%, 12/10 support their and Arabella’s relationship. They were there for her since the beginning and without the two of them, Arabella’s whole story would have turned out differently. I love the complexity of John and Luka’s characters and I’m very excited to see how it will further develop. Second of all, they are so freaking hot

Now to Sadie and her men. I literally love her so much. Every time she starts to blur into the background she comes back and proves why she’s the baddest of them all. I LOVEEEE her and Arabella’s friendship so much. Literally soul sisters (and powercouple in a different universe).

Corvus, Orion and Scorpios have some serious grovelling to do and I’m really hoping that they tone down the entitlement and actually show their true emotions to Arabella. If I were her, I would totally stay with John and Luka and just keep the three devil kings around to polish my jewels, buuuuut they are also kinda complicated. I’m not gonna write a whole essay about them (although I realistically could write at least 10 pages) but I am gonna say that I’m really excited to see how Jasmine will make them grovel and (hopefully) become worthy of Arabella one day. I mean Sadie got 4 men, it’s only fair that Arabella gets that, too plus one bonus man as a compensation for her complete destroyed mental health lmao

All in all I really really enjoyed reading this book and I cannot WAIT for the next one.

PS. I would have threatened with a law suit on the grounds of emotional distress but Jasmine Mas is an actual lawyer and I refuse to risk my life 💀still, if I don’t find Jinx and Lothaire absolutely beating Dick’s ass in the next book or two, I’m suing lmao

I received an ARC copy in exchange for providing an honest review (I knew I couldn’t wait to read this book until July 26).

Ok 🙃 so I initially started reading the Psycho Shifterverse series last year in October and eagerly waited for Aran’s series to release in February. Let’s just say, I DEVOURED Psycho Academy and loved it. 😌 Jasmine ATE with Aran’s first book, and she did not disappoint with Psycho Devils either. 💅

I LOVED this book.

Basically, if you like dark reverse harem stories, with kinda a villain/bully romance (but picture much worse - they are villains) and the men eventually must beg for forgiveness and grovel - you’ll love Psycho Devils. The main character is disguised as a boy, and there’s the trope of “who did this to you” and “I hate everyone in the world but you.” It’s just so delicious. 😩 It’s definitely a slow burn - but in the best way. The characters in this series are so developed and each one really shines in their own part. Really, the love interests each have very unique personalities and rich pasts, it’s such a fun ride to read everything play out.

Also, can we talk about the plot twists in this book?!? I don’t want to spoil anything, but wow, it seemed like I was getting whiplash every other chapter (but again, in the best way). And on that note, the plot is so intricate and the series is so much more than just a reverse harem romance. There is so much world(s 😉) building in this series. I love it. Jasmine has really surpassed my expectations. We have so much more to learn about all the characters, and I’m really curious to learn some more of Jinx’s background.

I’m really excited to see where Jasmine takes everything in the next book. I know it will be incredible and I can’t wait for the Kings to grovel!

»I loved you when you were a pretty boy. I loved you as a breathtaking woman, and I love you right now, my little wounded warrior. I will always love you.«

She‘s a badass. The way she stands her ground against the men and in the competition is just wow. She‘s a loyal friend, a little bit psycho and absolutely strong.

❥ 𝑱𝒐𝒉𝒏, 𝑳𝒖𝒌𝒂, 𝑪𝒐𝒓𝒗𝒖𝒔, 𝑺𝒄𝒐𝒓𝒑𝒊𝒖𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑶𝒓𝒊𝒐𝒏
Gosh, I hope she ends up with all of them.
John is a sweetheart and Arabellas best friend. He truly cares for her and I liked their dynamic.
Luka is mysterious and brooding but he is there for Arabella when she needs him.
Corvus (aka Malum) losses his shit around Arabella. He doesn‘t have his feelings under control although that’s kinda cute?
Scorpius is my favourite. His personality is so well done and I really like him.
Orion is so fucking obsessed with Arabella. He‘s kinda shy and cute but has a dark side too.

I was glued to my kindle all day.
Loved it!
The relationship between Arabella and the men grows steady and I‘m glad that the devils recognize how much they care for her. The competition against the other legion groups was brutal and I suffered with poor Arabella. This girl had to life through so much pain and I‘m happy that she got a friend like Sadie.
The end was kinda strange but funny.
I hope the devils grovel in the next book because they treated Arabella like shit sometimes (although they improved compared to the first book).

Oh, the book hangover!!! I need the next one now or something that is just as good. I will need to reread a favourite to come down from this book. So much, so funny, so dark, but so goooood!!!!

It has things like:
Dark triggers...
forced situation intercourse. Not rape, they consented, but the situation was forced on them
Drug and alcohol abuse addiction
Violence
Types of BSMD
Depression, anxiety, and suicide thoughts
Bullying

Also, things like
MM MF and MFM... maybe MMM spice
Dark humour
Body count
Spicy hot smut
Fierce, sassy, dark, bad arse FMCs

I love the ending. I did not expect that. I also didn't see the John twist, or the Jinx twist or the wth twists!!!

I relate to Sadie and Aran in some ways, and I think that's why I fell into this book and lived the world so deeply. It's realistic as much as an omegaverse, and other realms with lots of species can be.

The author links thinks like the language they use that sounds so human and modern to bootleg human TV. Other POVs help to dull the frustration from mistakes and misunderstandings from miscommunication or no communication.
The characters are strongly built, and the situation they are in becomes believable as you get to know their traits. They fail, they succeed, they lie and love and they think the darkest things...and I love it!!!

I need to know what happens!!! I need to know!!

This series continues to get better and better! I enjoyed Sadie’s books but I’m obsessed with Aran and her journey. I received an ARC and devoured this book in one day.

I loved the different POVs that gave insight into the characters and really aided in the overall character development in this book. We learn so much about each persons history and motivations that it makes me want to go back and read Aran’s first book again with a new understanding.

The development of the romantic relationships was great. They felt realistic with all the new information you learn in this book and I’ll leave it at that to avoid spoilers. 😊

When it comes to the three kings I was living for the progression from straight up evil bullies to realizing how wrong they were about Aran and that she won’t be forgiving them any time soon. The stage is set perfectly for some grade A groveling in the next book and I can’t wait.

I don’t know how the author had me laughing out loud one minute then the next my heart was breaking for the suffering Aran was put through but somehow she did it. Her writing style is *chefs kiss*

This book is such a good time and I can’t wait for the next one! Hopefully Aran finally gets the shopping trip she deserves.

yk what

i’ve read a lot of shitty stuff

and when i say shitty i mean SHITTY

and yeah the other books were pretty bad so i didn’t expect much and honestly this one was getting better like it probably would have been a 3.5 or a 4 star read

but then i read one sentence

and you’re probably wondering, “snigdha, how bad can this one sentence really be?”

i PROMISE you this one is BAD

THIS is absurd

THIS takes the cake

HOW IS THIS EVEN A LINE IN THE BOOK??

“For her punishment, the gods order Arabella to have penetrative intercourse with her legion mate John on the field until completion. Now.”

HELLO??

WHAT IS EVEN HAPPENING??

MIND YOU, THIS BOOK ISNT EVEN THAT “SMUTTY” TOO??

we’ve really lost the plot

gods save me

1 star for this line alone

"Physically, I was hideous. Mentally, I was worse. Spiritually, I was a slut."
The three kings needs massive character development. Especially corpus. He desperately needs to attend an anger management therapy. Regularly. Till the end of time.

Shouldn’t the cover has Aran as Arabella instead of her glamour? 🤔

*Edit* Looks like there’s new covers for Aran’s story without her make glamour. Solved the itch in my brain.
