He’s been protecting her since he was sixteen years old…

Beau LeBlanc has a killer grin, a voice that can seduce a saint, and a serious reputation for being mad, wickedly bad, and exceedingly dangerous to know. Growing up, everyone always thought he was trouble with a capital T…until one night the bad boy became a hero. He rushed into a burning house and saved her—Avalon Trahan. He still bears the scars from the flames on his body, but it was Avalon who marked his soul. For her, he wanted to be more than just the most dangerous guy in town.

They grew up. He kept watching her.

Beau knows that he’s obsessed. He also knows that someone has to look after Avalon because the fire wasn’t the last time that her life was in danger. Over the years, he’s had to step in when she needs help…not that she knew he was there. He stayed in the shadows. Watching. Waiting. And eliminating the threats that came her way. You didn’t screw with what belonged to him.

She’s been his fantasy for years. He’s been her dark hero.

He never expected Avalon to walk into his bar. To come straight to him. But when she does, she’s a temptation he can’t resist. Beautiful, bold, and smart, she’s everything he has ever wanted. Desire explodes between them. A need he has fought for so long is suddenly a blazing inferno that he can’t control. But Avalon needs Beau now more than ever before. A killer has her in his sights—a man who loves to see the world burn. And this predator won’t stop until he finishes what he started years ago… The fire is going to come for Avalon again. And this time, he’ll make sure no one is there to save her.

Author’s The Ice Breakers are back once again! A serial arsonist is ready to set the world ablaze. To stop him, Beau and Avalon will have to trace a trail of murders back to the killer. Avalon is a true-crime author with ties to the Ice Breakers, and she will need their backup to unravel the mystery of her past. She’s also going to need some serious protection. Good thing Beau is more than willing to get up close and personal with her. Prepare for smoking-hot pages, danger that will chill your heart, and a hero who is too well acquainted with the dark side of love…and obsession.

Uff, what a ride!

An obsessed hero who is secretly protecting the heroine for years- A heroine who is searching for answers- A dangerous serial Arsonist who is playing games with them from shadows!

I’m obsessed with ‘an obsessed’ hero and Beau was the definition of it. Avalon was sweet but sassy and a courageous heroine. From the first traumatic meeting itself, they connected. They were completely in to each other and set the pages on fire. Their chemistry was combustible 🔥!
There were a bunch of secondary characters I loved and I need books for all of them. The killer element was done really well and I love that this author ties up all the loose ends perfectly.

This was one of those books where I didn’t realise passing time or anything else. I was completely immersed in it and couldn’t stop reading.

-Rich girl x boy from the wrong side.
-He is obsessed with her.
-Found family, Forced proximity.
-Safe, TW and recommended.

P.s The piano scene made me blush!

I received an advance review copy and I’m leaving this review voluntarily.

Savage Ice just burned its way to the top of my list of favorite books by this author. I was consumed from the opening pages as we were given a view of this couple’s fiery introduction. The drama and intensity of it, along with the resulting consequences and actions that followed, were all things I never knew would hook me so fast and keep me turning pages.

I love a stalker hero and holy heck, Beau was pure perfection. He was everything I love and I couldn’t get enough. There were so many times that I felt absolutely giddy by his actions, words, or thoughts.

This story had so many layers to it. Its dark intensity kept me on a short fuse, working me up to full steam but refusing to let me go until I reached the end. I loved that every guess I made was wrong and I was completely blindsided to the twists that popped up along the way. This makes for the perfect summer read.

hmmm...so this is the only Ice Breakers' book I haven't finished...simply because I got caught up in something else...at first, then I figured out I didn't really like Beau...at all...and he appeared as a secondary character in the previous book, and he was just...not appealing to me...so
I will kindly NOT rate this, cause I really have no base to do so...

I knew I was going to enjoy Savage Ice the moment I read the description. A morally grey hero, a heroine in danger, & an arsonist was the recipe for a thrilling read.

I really liked the romance here. It’s a mix of bodyguard, second chance and angst. Avalon & Beau had intense chemistry from the moment they met. I liked how Beau was so gone for her and would do anything & everything to protect her. He even called her his one good thing! Like swoon!! I also really liked how Avalon fought to be with Beau and wouldn’t let him push her away. If you like angst, you’ll love the romance here because it has plenty of it.

I seriously needed these two to kiss more 😂. With all the sexual tension between Beau & Avalon, I expected this to be steamier but I liked what we got.

I liked how dramatic & suspenseful the story was. It kept me guessing.

Would definitely recommend! Can be read as a standalone.

Well shit. Even though I accidentally read them out of order Beau and Avalon's story was terrifying, sexy, dark, I tense and AWESOME. Now I just have to go back and read Lane and Ophelia's story I guess 🤦‍♀️

I'm always happy when I see a new Cynthia Eden book. She's one of my very favorite authors. I just love her characters. She has some of the best heroes. They are the best alpha men. They protect your while letting you be your own persons and the love you unconditionally. Besides her great characters she often makes me laugh when I read her books. Certain lines in her book just hit me the right way. I don't want to ruin anything for anyone but just remember "crime boss" when you are reading.

The beginning of this story starts off strong. You see how they meet and quickly get to know them by the first chapter. I don't always like insta-love but with these two it just worked. You honestly felt like they loved each other from the moment they met. The way they act with each other you forget that they really don't know each other.

I so love Beau. I will admit I forgot we met him in the prior book in the series. I took me a bit to connect him with that story. I'm not sure why. I totally loved him in that book. I still loved him in this one. The way he made it his mission to protect Avalon even though she didn't have a clue it was happening was sweet. Stalkerish but still sweet. He knows it's not the greatest look but can't help himself. I think it goes back to feeling unloved and unworthy. When he does something good, he went a little too far with it. Sadly, he couldn't see all the other good things he had done because he doesn't think much of himself.

You'll love Avalon. She's fearless and one of the nicest people. Her interactions with Beau and so funny I just love them together. I love how she has kept him in her heart all these years. Once she decides that she cares for Beau that all she cares about. He is her world she'll do anything to protect him.

This is a great story that keeps you wondering who to trust. The actions run throughout the story but doesn't overshadow the romance and love that's blooming between these two. Not only is it a fantastic story you got to know a bit about Royal and want his story. I'm so looking forward to that.

Started of well but it rapidly downhill.

Avalon and Beau meet when he rescues her as a teenager from a house fire. Over the years he’s stalked her and protected her but never spoke to her. Fast forward to fifteen years later and Avalon is an author who writes about serial killers. For some bizarre reason the author describes her as writing about petty crime. I’d hate to see what really bad crime is! Even more bizarre is the assistant D.A allows her to investigate their crimes. 😂😂😂😡 Yeah I’m sure that would happen. One of her interviewees names Beau’s bar when she’s investigating vigilantes who find murderers, and gives them to the police.

This is where it lost my attention. Beau knows exactly who Avalon is as he’s been stalking/protecting for years, suddenly pretends to not know who she is, and is horrid to her. Rather conveniently all of a sudden Avalon is being targeted by a killer and needs Beau’s help. 🥱 Ridiculous plot. 😔 Of course they get close and start having sex, and Beau tells her he’s been in love with her for fifteen years. 😂😂😂😂 He was stalking her and knows a few things about her, that’s not knowing someone enough to be in love with them.

As the danger ramps up and the killer is getting angry at them both, it gets really silly. It was so bad that at times I picked my kindle up to read it, then put it straight down again. That’s unheard of for me to do that!

Besides the ridiculous plot it’s not very well written. The author wants us to believe that the teenage Beau who is in the hospital with burns and multiple broken bones, manages to escape his gang as they want to kill him? 😂😂😂 Fifteen years later Beau owns strip clubs, and other bars and I want to know what he did to earn his money? It never explains it, just that he’s extremely wealthy. Oh ok, I’ll just ignore that the author can’t be bothered to write how he made his money!!! 😡😡😡 Or how Beau managed to stalk Avalon with broken bones and severely injured and avoid his old gang that want him dead! How did he manage to survive without any money?

Then there’s Avalon. Avalon who interviews serial killers and writes books about them. Yet she never once writes anything throughout the book. When someone finds out that a man has been stalking her for years, and knows little details like her favourite chocolates, wouldn’t they RUN TO THE POLICE???? Avalon doesn’t, she has sex with him and falls in love with him. 😂😂😂😂

I just can’t with this book. It’s beyond ridiculous. It’s a shame as at times I thought it was going to be really good.

He became Avalon’s hero. And she… She became his hope.

Another fab addition to the Ice Breaker Cold Case Series. These books are all exceptionally well-plotted romantic suspense and I gobble them up like I’m dying of hunger. Each one is a totally enticing reading experience with great characters and storylines. I can’t seem to get enough. They always end too soon! I’m so EXCITED to learn that the series will continue.

Avalon Trahan and Beau LeBlanc met as teenagers – he saved her from her burning home. He’d been involved with gangs and was stealing an expensive automobile at the time. The story moves forward and years later Avalon walks into Beau’s bar much to his surprise. And BOOM! The rollercoaster ride of hits begins. I’m betting you’ll be head-over-heels in love with Beau by page three – if not sooner! And it was so much fun picturing Avalon as she teased and bantered her way into his heart and soul. Their love story is beautiful and meaningful and will not disappoint even through the twists and turns in this topnotch crime-filled thriller.

The bright red bows (Royal’s idea) gave the story an added splash of fun! The killer’s identity is hidden well, and I had to wait for the unveiling before the case was solved for me (although the name flickered through my thought processing several times).

Non-stop action with a sexy, sweet and tender love story between two super and endearing characters and an explosive conclusion-- who could ask for more?

Another five-star read by the fabulous Cynthia Eden. Now I’m super excited and anxiously awaiting Royal’s story. With the peeks into his persona in this book, I’m certain it’s going to be another “best” to add to my list!

Four and a half
So when is a bad guy the hero ? Well when he risks his life to save a trapped young woman that's exactly what Beau becomes although maybe not in his own opinion. Avalon never forgot the fear of the fire or indeed the young man who rushed into the house to save her and now she works as a crime writer trying to get justice for victims. Beau has unknown to Avalon used his contacts to watch and keep her safe but when she walks into his bar and surprises him with a kiss staying away from her is no longer an option ! It's just too bad that Avalons past isn't as far away as they thought and this time the bad guy might not turn out to be quite as heroic as Beau !
This was a fun read with twists to keep the reader guessing. This series is a delicious blend of hot romance coupled with suspense that keeps the reader eagerly turning the pages. I feel that the author has a talent for inventing protective males that make her readers smile and perhaps sigh a little too ! Plus supporting characters add vastly to the plot and even step up to claim their own happy ending sometimes. Beau might start out as a gang member but rescuing his princess from her burning tower changed his world and that's certainly a fantasy that leaves me smiling.
This is a voluntary take of an advanced copy and my thoughts and comments are I believe fair

Beau and Avalon's story will leave you breathless and gasping for more as the pages reveal an emotionally damaged teenage hero determined to protect the girl that somehow managed to write on his very soul, changing him in ways he couldn't fathom.

It's been over fifteen years since one crazy decision caused Beau LeBlanc to changed the direction of his life. A decision that left him unable to forget the teenage girl who was able to influence his life for good. So much so that he has continued to hide in the shadows prepared to protect her in every way necessary.

To sixteen year old Avalon, Beau became the hero he never wanted to be. Yet, she couldn't see him any other way. And when her latest research took her to LeBlanc's the last person she expected to see behind the bar was the hero she'd tried to find for years. Suddenly, she was taken back to that day years ago when that boy had saved her life.

Beau tries repeatedly to push Avalon away but quickly changes his approach when it becomes clear a killer obsessed with fire has returned to finish the job he failed at years ago.

Be prepared for a suspense filled romantic drama with an unexpected action-packed ending you won't see coming.

When Avalon was sixteen her house caught fire and she was trapped in her room. She cracks her window and yells for help. Beau is a young man that was trying to steal a Jag when he hears the yells. He rushes in to save her and they end up jumping out the window. Beau is seriously injured and Avalon visits him everyday until one day he is gone.
Avalon is a crime writer and goes to prison and talks to some of the deadliest killers. One was the “Slasher” and he gives her the names of the bars he visited. She goes and sees a man she recognizes. Beau has been in trouble with the law several times but they can’t get the charges to stick. Ever since he meet Avalon he has been her secret creeper. He protects her from afar. Avalon walks home and Beau follows her and when she gets inside she is attacked and Beau saves her again. It seems to be connected to the fire years before because before they make it out, it’s set on fire. Beau plans to find the arsonist/killer and not let Avalon out of his sight. He has just found her and he doesn’t plan to lose her.
Such an excellent story. Beau is the badass bad boy but really has a heart of gold. He never had a family so his friends are his family. He’s protective, strong, and loyal. Avalon lost her parents in college and only wants her case solved. She beautiful and smart. Sex. Action. Suspense. I did not guess the killer! I can’t wait for Royal’s book.

This series up until book 8 has been so much fun to read. Something changed with book 8 though and it was by far my least favorite book of the series. Book 9 got us back on track. And here we are...reading book 10. While I didn't dislike this book entirely, this is up there with book 8 as my least favorite of the series.

I feel like the character development was lacking. Avalon was pretty one dimensional, and Beau was just supposed to be the bad guy for everyone but the reader? And their relationship just felt a little lackluster.

Also, as a part of this series, we've almost completely separated ourselves from the rest of the Ice Breakers crew...and man those characters even as ancillary characters that just show up throughout the stories just added something extra (especially Memphis). Without them, it just feels like we are veering off course. Or maybe we are starting on a new path altogether?

I didn't dislike this book enough to not read the next one. I'm just hoping that book 11 brings back the spark!

Wow what an awesome read!
Savage Ice by Cynthia Eden is the latest installment in the series and although you can read it as a standalone I would recommend to read the whole series because of the reappearing characters and just because you wouldn’t want to miss the other books!
This book is absolutely brilliant!
The plot is very well done and some scenes had me on the edge of my seat!
A perfect balance between romance and suspense !
I immediately fell in love with Beau LeBlanc ( awesome name) he reminds me of my all time favorite hero Jax Fontaine from the Lost series. Avalon is strong after everything she has been through and when she meets Beau again finally found her hero.
Highly recommended if you are in the mood for romantic suspense filled with suspense and hot steamy romance !
I received this arc from the author and this review is my honest opinion

Loved it!
Beau was a teen heading down the wrong path really quick when one night while he was stealing a Jaguar he heard screams and saw a house on fire. Instinct took over and he went into the flames and saved the teen girl trapped inside.

Avalon never forgot the handsome young man that saved her from the fire. When one of the serial killers she suggested she go to a certain bar to get information she never expected to find Beau.

Beau has kept an eye on Avalon from the shadows for years. Keeping her safe is his goal. When she walks into HIS bar it's all he can do to control himself. Then she kisses him and he nearly erupts.

After she leaves he gets word that she is not taking the safe way home and all bets are off. He goes after her and it's a good thing he does because she is in danger.

Excellent story unfolds.

Enjoy!

3.5. I enjoyed this for the most part. I didn’t enjoy the interactions with the police or the main plot of everyone hunting this “vigilante”. It just didn’t make sense to me. If they’d killed the guys then maybe, but just cuffing them and leaving them for the police? How is that any different than PIs or the Ice Breakers? How is it criminal?

I’m also over the whole “I’m a terrible person” “if she only knew the monster that I am” crap since what they all consider to be what makes them “dark and dangerous and monsters” is military or covert operations or catching criminals “by using violence”. There is a huge difference between murdering people and serving in the military or being in a shoot out with bad guys. I have been binging all of Cynthia Eden’s books so maybe that’s why but it’s gotten pretty annoying.

Great book

I enjoyed reading this book. Makes me want to reread the entire series. Beau and Avalon are a good couple who fell for each other when they were teenagers and he rescued her from her burning house. I like that he’d been watching over her since then, make sure she was safe since the fire starter was never caught. I like that she’s strong and takes the lead when it’s needed. He’s over protective and so sweet to her. They have some moments that we’re all feels.
The plot was very interesting in trying to figure who started the fire back then and now. Lots of possible bad guys that had me guessing the whole time. Non stop action with no angst.
I recommend this book. I can see me reading this again when I reread the series.

Savage Ice is the 10th book in the series and even though some characters from the previous books make appearances, it can be read as a standalone. Beau and Avalon's story is a wild rollercoaster ride full of ups and downs, twists and turns that had my stomach dropping and my pulse racing. There's non-stop action, sweet & tender moments, steamy sexy times and a literally explosive conclusion. While there's a HEA for our leading couple, we also get an intriguing peak of the next case and the next hero and I can't wait to get his story!
I was fortunate to have received an advanced copy from the author and am leaving this review voluntarily and honestly.

From paranormal, romance, suspense! They all are wrote wonderfully! My hats off to you and thank you for all your writing s. This book as the 9 before it were all 5* star reads. Wow! I could not put this one down!! I loved Beau and Avalon together. Avalon comes across as a strong, confident woman even though she's not always. I thought it was great when she recognized him immediately and kissed him. Even though Beau has watched and protected her from afar it didn't always come across as stalkerish. One of the best parts of their relationship is that even though Beau wants to protect her, he agrees to work with her instead of sidelining her and it makes for a true partnership between them. Sometimes people come in and out of your life at different times for different reasons. Avalon and Beau have that kind of special relationship.

I loved this book and couldn’t put it down. Love when I’m immediately sucked into a story. Love how protective and possessive Beau has been about Avalon since the day he rescued her from a fire. Avalon walks into his bar one day and finds out he’s been watching over her. She’s always thought of him as her hero. But is she still being targeted? Loved the suspense level and being shocked. Loved their happy ever after. I voluntarily read an advanced readers copy and I highly recommend this book. This series is worth re reading.

Beau gets his story

I love the way Eden makes a slightly morally gray hero so appealing. Beau is just that and she’s paired him up with a strong FMC in Avalon. We get a bit of their backstory and then the rollercoaster ride begins. Some previous Ice Breakers show up, some interesting new characters push the story along, this in arson, attempted murder, an a bit of crazy and you get a story that pulls you into the action. It’s sexy, edgy and compelling and a great addition to the series.

If u want a good mystery, suspense, romance book this one is awesome. I’ve read this series and they just keep getting better and better. It is well written and a real page turner. I love it. Beau Leblanc has been in love with Avalon Trahan since he rescued her from a fire when they were teenagers. He has protected her for years from afar because he feels he is not worthy of her. They come together again while she is investigating how a serial killer was caught. She has been targeted again by the same arsonist and now both of them work together to find him. This is well worth the read.

i personally have beef with the whole “I’m a bad guy who has done bad things” vs “you’re my heroooooeeeeee” dynamic that these two had going on, but i shan’t knock it down for that. Ultimately this book was fine. Eden’s books have always been very hit or miss for me, because i just don’t love the dynamics between the mmc/mfc. I prefer mfcs who are more capable than she typically makes them. This one was t the worst in her backlog, but not the best.

Savage Ice

Ok then! This story basically starts when Beau and Avalon were teens and he saved her from her burning home. Now fifteen years later they face each other again and chaos ensues. The killer was after Avalon and she was trying to find out who he was. When we finally get to know who the killer was, it was a shock. So happy Beau was able to take care of the bad guy and both found their happy ending. FANTASTIC job Cynthia! I would recommend this book!

Great!!!

I was hesitant about buying this book, because I was afraid the darkness would be too much. I'm SO glad I bought it. The characters and the suspense are so well written. The romance is very enjoyable. The whole book is great entertainment!!! I love it and look forward to the next one.

I devoured this newest installment in one sitting. Beau's obsession over the girl he saved when they were teens was an action packed, juicy story! We saw a lot a Beau in the previous book, so the continuation was nice but this could definitely be read as a stand-alone novel. Cynthia Eden is permanently on my one-click list of authors!

Probably the best one yet in this series

Maybe it’s because I’ve just read it, but somehow I think it’s the best one yet. I love Cynthia Eden but sometimes the words can be too repetitive though the storyline makes up for it. Beau and Avalon’s tale was brilliant. Can’t wait for Royals now.

I hate when the H is constantly telling the h that he’s no good for her and saying how bad he is.

Safety
SWE. No ow/OM drama. H saved h when she was a teen from a fire. They go their separate ways, but he keeps tabs on her. He is either watching her or he has men do it for him. They are both with op. H says he’s loved her since he saved her life. 🙄
