Everly Plum is delighted to be heading up the Bridesmaid for Hire program at Magical Moments by Maggie. And when Hardy Hopper, one of their billionaire investors, approaches Everly for help with his friends' wedding, she's more than happy to step in. But Hardy has an extra assignment for her: his ex-girlfriend will be the maid of honor opposite his role as best man, and he wants Everly's help getting her back.
There's only one problem: Everly may have a tiny crush on the dashing businessman. But despite the way Hardy makes her stomach flutter, she's determined to prove herself, both as a bridesmaid and as a matchmaker. That is, until she finds her crush turning into real feelings. Not to mention, Hardy can't help but notice how well he clicks with Everly, and before he knows it, he's not looking for his ex's attention anymore.
But even after their simmering attraction finally rises to the surface, they will have to contend with meddling friends, poor timing, and professional boundaries—and the risk that no one might get a second chance after all.
When I was in high school I occasionally read books but was consumed by other teenage things so I didn't take the time to appreciate a good book on a cloudy day, wrapped up in a blanket on the couch. It wasn't until I received a Kindle for Christmas one year that my world completely flipped upside down. When looking for books I came across the Contemporary Romance genre and was sold and I haven't turned back since.
You can either find my head buried in my Kindle, listening to inspiring heart ripping music or typing away on the computer twisting and turning the lives of my characters while driving my readers crazy with anticipation.
I currently reside in beautiful Colorado Springs where the sun is always shining and there is a trail waiting to be hiked on every corner. I share a lovely and warm home with the love of my life and my five, four-legged children.
Bridesmaid Undercover is a rom-com in the truest sense, full of banter, hilarity, and so much sweet romance! The story follows Everly, who after being contacted by Hardy, to help plan pre-wedding festivities for his college friend's upcoming nuptials, is caught up in a scheme to win back his ex-girlfriend along the way. However, as Everly and Hardy begin working together and the two develop a friendship; Everly can't help but think how nice it would be if Hardy looked to her instead of his ex.
Meghan Quinn just has a way of writing the most fun romances! I laughed so much, the banter between Everly and Hardy is unmatched. Not to mention, their friendship was so cute, the way the two could joke and talk about everything under the sun was absolutely sweet. I loved that they became friends and while Everly was secretly crushing on Hardy, he was entirely unaware that he was falling for her too. While this does have a dreaded third-act breakup, I think it was necessary to pull Hardy from his thoughts and force him to feel the pining Every felt for him. If you are a fan of Meghan Quinn or completely goofy and sweet romances, this book is for you!
~Many thanks to Meghan Quinn and Hambright PR for an ARC of this book in return for an honest review.
This book had me laughing, captivated and entertained from start to finish! 🤩💖🌟
I can safely say by now that I love Meghan’s writing. It is so readable and enjoyable. And, this series in particular is PURE COMEDY 🤣
EVERLY - what a girl?! I loved her albeit small role in book 1 and was so stoked to hear she had her own story to tell…She is delighted to be heading up the Bridesmaid for Hire program at Magical Moments by Maggie, when the ever so handsome, and charming Hardy comes for some advice: He needs help getting back with his ex. Meanwhile, Everly is crushing HARD on this man.
Things are about to get very complicated 🤭
Cue a slow-burn romance JAM-PACKED with hilarious scenes, emails and fantastic banter between friends…
I loved the Hopper boys in book 1, but this storyline gives us the inside scoop on Hardy and it is pure brilliance 🙌🏽 He is everything: effortless charm, sweet smile, caring heart, smart entrepreneur, and the best hugger ever 🤗
"So yeah, the Hopper men aren’t only easy on the eyes and brilliant businessmen, but they’re dream makers as well." 🥰💖✨
I love how despite Everly’s crush, she still goes out of her way to do her job. All the while creating a solid friendship with Hardy. It is obvious she cares about Hardy and puts his wants before her own. She is SUCH a sweetheart 🥹
"She can decorate and set up small moments with the girl I’m trying to get back together with. She can create a warm and stylish event. She shows empathy when it’s needed, levity too. She can do it all—and without breaking a sweat. She’s unmatched." 💖✨
I loved watching this relationship grow…and how utterly clueless Hardy was, was quite hilarious! But even after their attraction finally rises to the surface, they have to contend with meddling friends, poor timing, and professional boundaries…
"I’ve recently stumbled upon the realization that the girl who’s been becoming my best friend is actually the girl I should have been pursuing this entire time." 🥰💖✨
As with book 1 in this series, there is a fantastic array of side characters. The crazy and hilarious moments are scattered throughout the storyline; perfect rom-com material 🙌🏽 I love how Meghan includes cameos from her other books - it really does make the story so much more solid and fun to read 🤌🏽
Overall, this book was the perfect mixture of fun, laughs and love ❤️ One of the things I love about this series is the combination between business and personal life, and more so, the crossover 🫣🤐 This rom-com is all you could hope for - minus a star for the 3rd act break-up 🙄 BRING ON BOOK 3… 📚💖✨I am absolutely dying to read Hudson & Sloane's story! A marriage of convenience? YES PLEASE! 🤭
I can’t believe Meghan Quinn YET AGAIN writes a book where the H treats the h like complete sh*t and does EVERYTHING to mess up their relationship yet the last 20 pages SHE HAS TO APOLOGIZE??
I’m sorry, this is the last time I read Meghan Quinn because the whole last 200 pages consisted of the H playing mind games with the h only for her to sleep with him EVERY SINGLE TIME and for him to make things 10x worse..
The last 30 pages of the book, they sleep together after the H traps her in a dress fitting date and then proceeds to make her feel like she’s even more worthless! The next 20 pages consist of the H’s friends convincing the h to apologize and “He loves you!” And she apologizes after he did absolutely nothing to fix his mistakes and win her back…. - WTFFFF
MEGHAN…hun…I’m done with you!

OMG, where do I even start?! This book had me giggling, swooning, and rolling my eyes all at once! 😂 Everly Plum is a total boss running her Bridesmaid for Hire gig, and when the oh-so-charming Hardy Hopper asks her to help win back his ex at their friends’ wedding, you know things are about to get hilariously complicated. Everly’s got this huge crush on Hardy, and even though he’s all gotta get my ex back, we all know where this is heading, right? Yup, straight into a slow-burn romance full of awkward moments, hilarious emails, and some seriously steamy vibes! 🌶️
✧ Rom-com 💘 ✧ Acquaintances to friends to lovers 💕 ✧ Workplace romance ✧ Slow burn 🔥 ✧ Hilarious emails ✧ Age gap ✧ Forbidden attraction ✧ Matchmaker gone wrong 💌 ✧ Third-act breakup ✧ Groveling (and it’s oh-so-satisfying)
The banter between these two? EVERYTHING! Their friendship blossoming while Everly’s secretly crushing hard and Hardy being totally oblivious was both adorable and frustrating in the best way. And then, boom—third-act breakup. Why, Hardy, why?! 😩 My heart was seriously hurting. But the groveling? A+ content. Everly didn’t make it easy for him, and I was living for every moment of it!
The supporting cast is just as wild, with their crazy antics and hilarious moments that made this story feel like one big, fun adventure. And those cameos from other characters in the MeghanVerse? Chef’s kiss—I love a good Easter egg!
And can we talk about the next book?! I am absolutely dying for Hudson & Sloane’s story! A marriage of convenience? SIGN ME UP! 😍
Honestly, this book is the perfect blend of laughter, love, and a little bit of heartache. It’s got everything you want in a rom-com, even if it did drag a bit and that breakup had me throwing my book across the room (figuratively speaking). Still, it’s a ride worth taking! 🌟
Hehehehe YAY!!! I love the friends to lovers plot ALWAYS!! I was DYING & gasping the last 2 hours. Hardy made me want to SCREAM (not in the dirty way...... but also in a dirty way)
Ok I was so excited for this because of these two characters in the previous book🥰… then I got this book and dove in and… Jesus. What a disappointment. Ok.
1. It opens with the morning after the are together. You think “great! This will jump right in!” Then like he has multiple personality disorder, the MMC just switches gears and forgets about the FMC and decides to pursue an ex from 10 years ago? Like on the same day he is thinking the FMC changed his life? What a moron.
2. I love good humor. It’s awesome when I can LOL while reading a book. This one missed the mark. I think she was trying too hard to make it funny because he came off like a complete clown and not in a good way. In an annoying way.
It was sooooo slow and I felt like I was reading a story before the story and the prelude was just taking so long that I totally lost interest.
Sorry, but this one is going my be my last book from Meghan for a while, it was just not it and close to a DNF.
There is a repetitive pattern that I’m noticing with M.Quinn that I’m not liking. Someone on Bridesmaid for Hire noted that a character will repeat the entire scene that just happened in text form to someone else and that’s literally every chapter in this book!
How many times are we going to talk about the awful date with Tomothy and relay the same date to 5 people? Every conversation with Everly’s sister ember was not needed. In fact, this book could’ve been 300 pages.. why is it over 500!? At 50% of the book nothing had happened. Which is annoying since you started the book talking about the MMC’s penis. Where is the spice!?
Also, pick a lane in how you continue a series. Either Quinn writes like someone reading this book has read her previous series (Cane brothers) and or she explains redundant things. The book should introduce who Hardy and Everly are, and not just pick up from the previous book with them hooking up and you don’t get anything from them until the second half of the book. I feel like whatever glimpse of Hardy in BMFH was gone. I was bored and annoyed. I get slow burn but damn 🥱
One character is a young 22 yr old pining over someone much older than her like a fan obsessed with a celebrity, and there is no feeling of them having a spark. What is drawing these two together besides her love for him and Hardy just wanting his ex.
I give this 2 stars because I like Quinn’s writing of banter. It’s actually funny and I can picture people saying that stuff. I also thought the whole JP plot in the beginning was funny. But after a while.. what does him loving pigeons and flamingos do to the plot? 🦩 (Edit: I read So Not Meant to Be and now I understand the pigeons.. what is this the avengers? You don’t read some of the m Quinn metaverse and your lost on the plot? Or can’t find it funny.)
However.. when the main characters actually start to get together I enjoyed it. Just could’ve gotten there 100 pages sooner.
*Edit after epilogue and preview for 3rd book*
Safe to say that I will NOT be ready about Hudson’s story. Seriously Quinn? Another story about siblings ending up with their in-law’s sibling ? (Huxley and his wife, her sister gets with his brother. Now Jude’s sister and gonna get with Hudson) my god, get new plots and character storylines instead of them all repeating. “Rich man meets highly sex driven 10+ year younger woman, friends to enemies to lovers troupe, man’s brother then dates sister” 😡😡
It's a Meghan book so It's an absolutely hilarious one! 🤣😂😂 Sometimes I was crying out laughing so hard I had to stop reading and wait until it faded away!
Loved the witty, clever, funny banter and the emails exchange between Hardy and Everly, all the lovely secondary characters and the appearence of the Cane brothers was a very nice touch!
You start rooting for Hardy and Everly from the beginning . She has a big crush on him since they met and then he asks her, as the head of Bridesmaid for Hire, to help him get together again with his ex girlfriend at his friends Ken and Polly's wedding.
They are both lonely at the end of the day when they return home and want a relationship. To love and be loved like their family and friends! 🥺🥺
They start spendind time together, having fun, knowing each other, becoming friends, Hardy not even seeing Everly is already more than that to him!
When they finally spend a wonderful spicy night together, family, work and other issues get in the way and Hardy messes up everything, breaking both their hearts! 💔💔
By then they have utterly fall hard for one another! 💕💞💞
But don't worry too much this is an HEA! ❤️❤️🩷❤️🩷❤️
Totally obsessed, I loved this, especially the audio!
I didn’t expect to fall so in love with Hardy Hopper 🥰 he’s Breaker Cane level 😍😍 And Everly?! Ugh just be sweetest but strongest woman.

⭐️ rating: ♾️ 🌶️ spice: a very slow burn to a few open door scenes
💭 overall thoughts: I’m a sucker for friends to lovers. Everly has this adorable crush, and they are so perfect for each other - just takes Hardy some time to get there.
Sweet Hardy, he has NO CLUE he’s falling in love with his best friend, and when he realizes it?! Perfection.
Also - there are tons of emails with BANTER 💌
Loved this book. Lots of laughs & a few tears.
🎙 audiobook thoughts: Samantha Brentmoor & Jason Clarke were the PERFECT Everly & Hardy! I also LOVE duet narration, it just elevates the story for me so much.
read if you love: 💛 acquaintances who become best friends, & fall in love 👗 Everly (mmc) with a secret crush on Hardy (mmc) while helping him try to get back with his ex 🥰 Hardy - the most romantic, relationship guy 💼 working relationship/forbidden 🙃 age gap (22/early 30s) 🐢 slowest burn I’ve read from MQ & then it gets spicy 🔥 💞 dual 1st person pov + DUET narration 🎧
Thank you to Meghan Quinn & Good Girls PR for advanced copies. All opinions are my own.
Another absolute banger from the romcom queen herself!
What to expect: - friends to lovers (but she really likes him) - boss/employee - age gap - slow burn - pen pals/email exchanges
There's something about a man so desperate to get married he asks a friend/employee to pose as a fake bridesmaid to get the tea on whether his ex wants to get back together. Meghan Quinn just has this incredible way of creating absolutely ridiculous, chaotic situations for her characters to meander their way through, usually with a heavy dash of trauma bonding that makes the romance feel so real and authentic.
I laughed so hard there were tears streaming down my face. JP Cane and his quest to save all endangered bird species was hilarious 💀 lmaooooo his emails were so good and Jason Clarke delivered the lines perfectly. Don't even get me started on the zoo disguises.
If you want to make your day a little brighter, I highly recommend this series!
ugh. I loved this book so much. the friendship was sooo cute, I genuinely felt like I was experiencing best friends fall in love with each other. Like so many times in books I feel like I am told that "im falling for my bestie" but this felt so real.
I'm having a hard time writing an actual review of this book rn bc..
While I want to just gushhhhh about how much I loved this book I unfortunately feel the need to address how absolutely horrid the third act breakup was. Still loved it, but that's what took it from a book that I thought was going to be infinity stars to a 4.
I literally could not stop laughing at so many things in this book...Meghan I LOVED it! I don't think there's a single character that I dislike and JP's email's just made me crack up even more. The banter, the tension, the awkward moments were all perfect! This is definitely more of slow burn and also I felt like my heart was ripped out of my chest at times, but I'd read this again in a heartbeat. When we do get the spice, it definitely SLAPS and Hardy has a filthy mouth that I couldn't get enough of!
The audiobook for this is perfection! Samantha Brentmoor and Jason Clarke were wonderful and I always love when an audiobook is duet narration! The way every awkward and funny moment was done, especially the accents, just made it even better!
What to expect: 🦩Rom com 🦩Hilarious emails & banter 🦩Flamingos 🦩Slow burn 🦩Awkward moments 🦩Matching t-shirts 🦩Matchmaker gone wrong 🦩Hidden crush 🦩Groveling 🦩Acquaintances to friends to lovers to enemies to lovers
This is a perfect rom com to end the summer and releases on August 20th!
Thank you so much to Meghan Quinn & Good Girls PR for the ARC & ALC of this book! All opinions are my own and honest!
Everly can't believe it! Hardy Hopper is asking her out! YES!!!! Wait... what? Hardy actually asked Everly to help him get back together with his ex (Face palm), and she decides to go along with his shenanigans, even though it kills her inside.
"What on Eart did I just get myself into? I'm headed to the zoo, with the man I'm crushing on, to get some intel on his ex-girlfriend so I can help him hook up with her?" 🌶️ 🌶️ 🌶️ .5 (she's a slow burn, but once we get there!)
Gah, MQ Never gets old! Everly has been crushing hard over Hardy, so it gutted me when she realized he wasn't asking her out, he was actually asking for help getting back with an Ex. I could feel her disappointment and rejection and then to actually go through with all of Hardy's plans to "randomly" run into his ex, trying to forge a connection again over their friend's wedding. During all the planning for the wedding, Everly and Hardy spend a lot of time together, they get to know one another, they have so much in common, that you really feel for Everly and also COME ON HARDY OPEN YOUR EYES!!! Everly has placed herself firmly in the friendzone, Hardy is just too hooked on the idea of his ex that he can't see how amazing he and Everly are together. Until his eyes are opened, and now he has to work his ass off to get out of the friendzone that he placed himself in! The shenanigans were shenaniganing, the spice was spicing (hellooo office scene), and the groveling was just how I like it. Honorable mentions go to JP Cane and the Flamingos.
I crawl up his body as he catches his breath and kiss along his neck, along his jaw, to his lips, and then to his ear where I whisper, "I want your tongue." When I lift up, his eyes meet mine and he says, "Then sit on my goddamn face."
Here we have another hilarious read from Meghan Quinn! Bridesmaid Undercover is the second book in the series but can technically stand alone. I do recommend reading Bridesmaid for Hire first though as characters from that book play a role in this one and you don’t want any spoilers! Anyways, I liked this a lot. I didn’t love it as much as the first, but I was still laughing (especially when Hardy gets his fake nose stuck on a branch) throughout. There’re also some cameos in the story from previous series so if you’re a big fan of Meghan’s books you’ll notice them (JP has my heart with his pigeons LOL).
If you enjoy workplace romances, mishaps, secret pining, and new friends to lovers then I think you’ll enjoy this one. So, I do recommend giving it a try if you haven’t already!
Loved it! HOLY SPICE. It was super funny and loved the friends to lovers and storyline. Hardy did make me soooo mad at the end though. Loved Everly as a FMC, she was relatable and their banter and relationship was cute and funny.
I have been so excited about this book! Hardy was one of my favorite characters in Bridesmaid for Hire! The hilarious banter between him and his brother was absolute GOLD. So when I found out this was going to be his book I jumped on the opportunity to get it early!
And of course, @meghanquinnbooks didn't disappoint the banter between Everly and Hardy was hilarious! These two kept me completely entertained. With disguises, witty comebacks, ploys gone wrong, hilarious nicknames, and sexy flirting.
》Before realizing what she is agreeing to Professor Plum, I mean, Everly, agrees to help Hardy gather information on the ex he's trying to get back with. Only she thought he was going to ask a much different question《
𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗺𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗹𝗼𝘂𝗱:
• JP Cane's GoFundMe emails for the flamingos and heartfelt reasons why people to contribute to the funds. Him trying to connect their lineage to pigeons. 🤣 "Side with the pink. Squack"
• Hardy disguises to go to the zoo! 🥸
• Everly helping him come up with embarrassing ways he could get his ex's attention. And the joy it through her every time he embarrassed himself.
• Their love for Whitney Huston and Dolly Parton
• The hilarious email conversations
• His selfie with the cake
• When she thought she chopped through Hardy's jugular "I knife handed your throat, did you not like that?"
This audio was incredible. @Jasonclarkereads and @ms_brentmoor did an incredible job bringing these characters to life. I loved them bantering back and forth! Jason was hilarious. His deadpan responses to Everly's ridiculous ideas were one of my favorite parts of this audio! And him reading JP's emails. 🤣 Samantha, ma'am, I could just listen to you over and over again! There's just something about her sweet and sultry voice. I adore it. She was the perfect Everly. 🥰 and when Hardy was accusing her of sleeping with a stuffie and she said "Bleh." I laughed so hard. Or her fog horn and crow impression. The conversations between them just flowed so well! I was addicted! Like I usually am with Meghan Quinn narrator picks! 🥰
This book has become one of my favorite Meghan Quinn books! And that's saying something.
𝟭𝟬-𝟰 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝘂𝘁!
I'm going to miss you, Henrietta and Professor Plum!
This is book 2 in Meghan’s Bridesmaid series. This had everything you would expect from a Meghan Quinn book…banter, hilarious antics and spice.
Everly and Hardy definitely were the perfect pair. You could feel their chemistry immediately. I love that they connected as friends and then blossomed into more. I mean their matching T-shirts was so frickin’ cute. And I loved seeing JP even if he was kind of cheating on Kazoo in this one.
I did listen to this one on audio. Jason Clark is always a yes for me. I could listen to him talk all day. The narrators really leveled up this story for me. If I read this with my eyeballs…I probably would have been a DNF for me.
This was a slow burn but I just feel like this book was just too long. Everything felt like really drawn out. The conflict at the end just kind made me mad with Hardy. I hate to say…but this might be one of my least favorite Meghan books. I am hoping the next one I enjoy a bit more.

Well, this book started with a 💥bang💥 and I was not complaining. I loved the plot; what easily could have been written as a fake dating trope had the fun twist of a fake friendship between Everly and Hardy with the intention of getting Hardy back together with his ex. It was hilarious, like I actually laughed out loud on multiple occasions, which I rarely do!
I read this book with both my eyes and my ears, and it was a phenomenal experience.
Narrators Samantha Brentmoor and Jason Clarke were an excellent pairing. Samantha’s voice was young and vibrant, perfectly matching Everly’s character and Jason’s voice was smooth and deep, exactly how I pictured our handsome billionaire Hardy. The acting was a fun touch during the steamy scenes 😉

♥︎ Many thanks to Meghan Quinn for the eARC of Bridesmaid Undercover!
“No, it would not be awesome. What would be awesome is if I could climb back in bed with you, if we could share a coffee while you curl into my chest, if we could not leave your apartment all day and just get lost in each other.”
“I would rather have my big toe slammed in a door than revisit a college relationship, but maybe that’s just me.”
“I still feel like the old crone in the corner, clearing the cobwebs out from between her legs after a simple touch from the man with the devilish eyes and kind smile.”
“I was trying to resurrect something that was never there to begin with,” he replies. “And while I was doing that, I was developing a relationship with someone else, someone I can’t stop thinking about.” He takes a step closer. “Someone I look forward to hearing from every day.” He takes my hand in his. “Someone I crave, who I want to hold…to touch…to kiss.”
“Sorry for walking out of your apartment, making you think you’re not the one I want. Because you are. You’re the one that I want to take out on dates, the one I want to get to know better, the one I want to spend evenings and mornings with. You, Everly.”

If you want someone to think you are crazy, then read this book. Why? Because when you are reading and laughing to the point of tears people think they are losing their mind. This book has everything and is the perfect funny and spicy story.
Loved this audiobook just as much a second time. MQ never fails to deliver with laugh out loud rom-coms. I'll always re-read MQ books when I need a good pick me up book.
- Workplace Romance - Friends to Lovers - Rom-Com - Hilarious Banter - Slow Burn - Age Gap _____________
I’m probably repeating what a lot of other reviews are saying right now, by this book is hilarious. There aren’t many books out there that can get physical laughter out of me, but I was giggling throughout this whole book.
The audiobook! 100% recommend!! 💜
Everly has a massive crush on Hardy, so when she thought he was about to ask her out on a date - she jumped at the chance and said “YES” immediately. Only problem was… he actually asked her to help him win back his ex.
I absolutely love the friendship that grew between Everly and Hardy. Their banter and emails were a highlight.
Especially chapter 10 with Brody (from Bridesmaid for Hire) was amazing! 🤣
Once Hardy got his head out the bin and realised his feelings towards Everly - the spice was spicing! That man has a filthy mouth.
I’m so sad that this book was over so quickly (thanks to a binge read / audiobook) but I cannot wait for the next instalment next year! In the meantime, I’m going to get my Meghan Quinn fix by reading her previous books about the Cane brothers - seeing as they have some cameos in this series! 💜
Thank you so much Meghan and Good Girls PR for the ARC. I’m so grateful.
I am a ride or die MQ fan. I’ve read all of her books and have never disliked an MMC as much as I disliked Hardy. And it kills me. He is just so clueless and I couldn’t get over it.
The spice was wonderful as per usual, but at the same time once Everly and Hardy have their main conflict the spice just doesn’t feel right. It feels kind of icky and like he’s trying to manipulate her into forgiving him with s3x.
The JP and Breaker Cane cameos were EVERYTHING but overall this was not my favorite MQ book.
This one stood alone really well. It's the second book in the series, but there is a minimum of references to the previous book or others in the MeghanVerse that you're fine to start here and then yearn for more.
Hardy and Everly were full of all the humour I adore in a Meghan Quinn romcom. The burn was slow and the plans the characters had to achieve their goals were convoluted and insane at times.
Everly likes Hardy, but Hardy wants a chance with his ex Maple who is the maid of honor at a wedding where Hardy is Best Man. Hardy convinces the bride to hire Everly as an assistant bridesmaid while convincing Everly to help him find a way in with Maple. But it just gets more an more complicated when everyone (except Hardy) can see that he and Everly are perfect for each other.... and then he screws it all up (per usual for a 3rd act in a romance).
Based on how he screwed it up, I really wanted to see his grovel. And Everly didn't forgive easily. Trust me, he has to WORK for it.
The audio was performed in Duet by Samantha Brentmoor and Jason Clarke. These two were perfectly matched for these characters. It was so well done. The timing on the delivery of all the ridiculousness that comes from Meghan Quinn's brain was fantastic. The performance of "really bad accents" were killing me with laughter when these two went "undercover". The emotions and feels were there from the pain of rejection, the confusion and realization of truths, the anger and righteous upset after "the morning after". All the emotional range from these performers was absolute perfection.
I requested and was provided with an advance copy of the audiobook. These are my honest opinions.
Meghan never fails to make me bust out laughing more times than I can count while reading her books. I can always count on her to give me a book I know will make me smile until my cheeks hurt… & while friends to lovers isn’t my favorite trope, I did enjoy this story!
I will say this book felt a little too long, I feel like it definitely could’ve been shortened down a bit. However I would still recommend it!
Thank you to Meghan & her team for the ARC.
Tropes: - RomCom - Workplace Romance - Age Gap - Friends to Lovers - Slow Burn - Lots of Banter
This is the second book in a series, but it totally stands on its own, given I didn't read book 1.
Bridesmaid Undercover is a cute funny romcom and is very spicy. I absolutely loved all the characters, from the MCs to the supporting cast of amazing friends. I also enjoyed the dual perspective of both the FMC and MMC.
This book (minus the prologue) starts pretty clean, no sex scenes just cursing and some sexy thoughts/comments. Around the 80% mark the heat got turned up to about 5000 degrees🔥
This is the first book I’ve finished… DECEMBER IS ALMOST OVER AND I BARELY FINISHES 1 BOOK?!?!

I’m sorry this man cannot be that clueless?!?! But at the same time that would be me bc I as well am clueless.
How is he going to say he’s ready for a relationship then fucks it up when he realizes his feelings for Everly?!?! But I’ll give a benefit of the doubt… I guess
He’s better than me when Everly embarrassed him bc my anger issues could never.
I never read someone owning an almond company. I wish we read more about that…

There was a lot of things that didn’t sit right with me
- Ken and Polly? Why those names?
- The “double date” that embarrassed me and I thank god I won’t experience it in real life bc the face I would make… I felt so bad for Maple and Timothy.
- Tomothy in general omg…
I will admit that there was a scene where I did chuckle and I rarely do that!

Overall, 3.5/5 stars ★
This book was a good read and I did enjoy some parts of the book.
I will be reading more of Meghan Quinn’s books I do like her books and there is a book I’m interested in.
This will probably my last book of 2024 :( This wasn’t a 5 star read but at least I finished a book シ
