There has probably never been a greater political watchman than Winston Churchill. His foresight saved the Western world from demise in World War II. Yet today, the West scorns his message. The biggest tragedy of World War II is that we didn’t learn from that shameful and near-fatal disaster.
In this booklet: • Winston S. Churchill: The Watchman • Learning From History • Preparing for War • Illusion of Security • Winston S. Churchill: The Leader • A Final Warning
A good review of some of Churchill speeches and views
I expected something very different. I am a fan of W. Churchill from way back.
I do admire the positions he firmly took when nobody wanted to see what was happening in Europe. I also admire his professional trajectory, both in politics and the military.
I must agree with the author. The world is on the brink of chaos and is up to mankind to correct the way or, eventually, fall victim to dictators and extremists.
I live right now in a country that is ruled by Godless people who only care for power and disregard law and religion, so, yes, I understand the author. I do not necessarily agree with all his points of view, but he makes many good and valid points.
A book to read to know about Winston Churchill's leadership and efforts to avoid the "unnecessary war", World War II, and safeguard Britain and America from Nazi Germany.
Churchill had the vision to see what was coming and warned his people.
Good history reflection. Hopefully others learn for the continued cycle. Reads quick. Winston showed great foresight and perseverance. Hopefully history never repeats here although it seems to have already done by now.
