I've always enjoyed "misheard lyrics" compilations, in spite of the fact that they're always a mixed bag; there will be some that make no sense, and you can't for the life of you imagine how they got from point a to point b. And there will be some that yes, you can imagine how they heard the lyric that way, but it isn't really very funny. There will be some that are funny but you still can't figure out how they got from point a to point b, some that are funny and it seems understandable how they got those lyrics, and a few where you say, "YES! That's what I've always heard there!" All of this is still true for this book, but there are far too many of the first two types here, and not nearly enough of the rest. One minor comment on a feature that improved the book, although not enough to change how many stars it got: some of the funniest bits here weren't even the misheard lyrics. They were the occasional pages of "Suggested Song Mashups", "Group Merges", "Change a Letter In A Song Title", etc. Some of which missed the mark, but others of which were hilarious.

I have had an interest in misheard lyrics for a long time, so this book was a welcome addition to my shelves. The pages of musically themed word games, such as combining the names of two musical acts or adding a letter to a song title, were a fun addition.
Did I like it? Very much.
Would I reread it? I've been known to skim through it on occasion.
Would I recommend it? Yes.
