She'll risk everything for love...but can she tame his wild heart?
Good girl Rowan Thomas is smart, determined--and about to take a walk on the wild side. Her little sister, Lacy, desperately needs a liver transplant. Without one, she has less than a year to live. So Rowan drops out of college, risking her scholarship and her ticket out of her destructive past, to head for Las Vegas...where she'll do anything to get enough money for a black-market operation.
And then, she meets him.
Bronson Ramsey. MMA fighter, bad ass outlaw biker, and womanizer extraordinaire. Bronson has his own financial problems--every cent he makes on his brutal, high-profile fights is going to pay off a vicious cartel that's at war with the biker club he calls family. He has no time for relationships, even if he wanted one. But something in Rowan calls out to his battered soul.
When Bronson "wins" Rowan in a card game, she responds by trying to rob him--ineffectively, since her smarts are all books and no street. Bronson discovers that she's a virgin and makes a daring proposition: she works a high-end escort scam with him and the club, and they'll split the profits. No one will touch her. But at the end, she'll reward him with her virginity.
What Bronson doesn't need is a relationship, and least of all love. He's convinced it's only for the money and sex.
Rowan agrees, for Lacy's sake. And once it's over, she promises herself that she'll find a way to escape Bronson and his lawless MC--but she's already starting to fall for him hard. Can she save a man from himself...one who doesn't want to be saved?
This Contemporary Biker Romance Novel contains graphic sexual content and violence. It is intended for mature readers. Full-length no Cliff-hanger
Abriella Blake, 25 years old, got her start writing Twilight fan-fic while finishing up her undergrad at USC. She has an unhealthy obsession with chocolate, Cinnabons, and Sushi. Writing interesting, intriguing, complex characters is her passion and she’s excited to share her first published novels with readers! Abriella is the latest edition to the Hearts Collective team.
"…I told you, you’re mine now. For better or worse, until we’re done with our deal.”
What would you do to save the one you love? For Rowan it’s to risk her scholarship and her life. With her mind set Rowan heads off to Las Vegas to attain enough cash to buy her sister a kidney from the black-market. However, as always in these type of situations many complications are bound to arise and this comes in the form of one, Bronson Ramsey. Add in the mafia and a whole lot of action and bam! You are in for a wild ride.
Rowan Thomas is a woman who values family above all things and she’s loyal to a fault. She’s a character that keeps on going even after taking one hit after another. Her strength and kick-ass attitude was just the spice that kept this novel alive. I loved the way she quickly came around to realise her surroundings and how to fit into a life that stumbled upon her.
“Ever since the first night I saw you dealing, I’ve been racking my brain trying to figure out why the hell I’d put my neck out for this scrawny, crazy greenhorn.”
Bronson Ramsey is a triple threat: 1) He’s an MMA fighter, 2) a badass biker and, 3) has insanely good looks. He has many personalities and at times they were pretty ruthless and somewhat sweet. I loved these two paradoxes. From the beginning of the novel he has his own agenda to helping Rowan but this then changes slowly. This triple threat of a man will sure worm his way into your heart…
Reading about an MMA fighter is exciting in itself but being apart of an MC gang just hit all the right spots!
“So will you just fucking run away with me to Mexico and fucking marry me or do I have to make you?”
Rating this book had me stumped. There were so many unique factors and scenes in the story. However, some scenes seemed a tad bit unrealistic. The novel continuously changed POV's with no notice of who’s thoughts we were tuning into. Also, there wasn’t much mention of the mc component in this novel (which, personally, I happened to like).
However, besides all these I still enjoyed it immensely. The novel played out like a movie and if some readers think of it like that then they won’t be bothered by the inconsistences. I loved the way this novel played out in my mind. It was exciting, suspenseful and pretty damn steamy!
Overlooking the negatives was the best thing I did because the deeper story between the H/h was exceptional! I loved their journey.
Overall, this first novel by Abriella Blake turned out to be a fantastic read! Looking forward to reading more by this fabulous author! Definitely looking forward to more knowledge and writings about the Ruiners Motorcycle Club!

As a avid reader & I say that loosely..considering I am a **One Click** addict...I read many different romance books..from contemporary to paranormal, I am addicted to them all...I have my faves..if I could actually find that perfectly combined hero..Werewolf,Biker,MMA fighter,Rocker all combined into one fabulous alpha hotty & a heroine that meets him eye to eye..straddles her own harley, packs her own heat & can throw knives, out shoot most everyone & still hold onto the sexy at the same time....*sigh* yeah hard to find but I can dream...... This book..I am impressed..yeah it wasnt perfect but what book is...I read so much & theres a teeny bit from each book that holds that specially memory I compartmentalize in my brain....This had a tad bit of most everything...it honestly was good, it could have been phenomenal.. would i read it again?? oh yes! I wont criticize this book based on the normal grammar criteria ((that bugs me when readers go over board with that..seems so petty when its a very human mistake we all make from time to time..I judge a book based on all factors)) beit story line..& in some instances believability (although thats rare because lets be honest, most books are an escape from our own daily lives...believability is irrelevant... ) the characters were developed just enough that it gave you a taste of how they were...I could have used a tad more but i was satisfied ...over all I am hoping to hear more about this couple & there lives...I want to see babies born...I want to see Lacy succeed in life & find her HEA she deserves it so much..I want to see Dolce bleed too LOL!!! I liked that the heroine was able to adapt to the MC in such a quick period...I HATE & I MEAN HATE WEAK WILLED WILTING FLOWERS for Heroines!! nothing ticks me off more than a weepy female..life sucks.NEXT! I want a HEA...I want strong Heroines.....I want sexy hotty alpha males....I want action....I want justice! ...Bring on Book #2 ♥
It was different, in a good way. Was very unique in some ways from the "average" biker book.
What they're trying to do for her lil' sister (she needs a liver transplant) is what the book revolves around really. It is an adventure of action packed chaos.
There's even some poetic verses woven in at times and it was well done.
It has a really cool ending. One we would all love for ourselves. Awesome.
The parts I had difficulty with were because they just weren't believable. There weren't many though.
I'm definitely going on to book 2 of the series. Looking forward to it. \(^0^)/
This was a different kind of biker/MC book that included a MC, the Mafia, and MMA. There were some points that were not totally realistic but there was a lot of suspense that kept me on the edge for a good part of the book. Good love story between the H/h. Couple of minor edit problems but not overwhelming. I liked this author's writing style and I would most likely buy her next book. To take the book more seriously the organ donor situation needed more info. But a good first book for me by this author.
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. Rowan Thomas was desperate. Her baby sister needs a liver transplant and she will do anything to save her. She heads to Las Vegas to do just that. There she meets Bronson Ramsey, bad boy extraordinaire. In the first few hours of meeting him she attempts to con him, Rob him, and shoot him. All a major fail. Bronson is an MMA fighter and a member of the Ruiners Motorcycle Club who is being controlled by a cartel family. He makes Rowan a proposition she can't resist. They will work a high-end escort scam to get what they both need. And what he wants and needs is her. Not understanding their feelings for each other in the beginning makes for an interesting attraction and events. I found Bronson to be a contradiction. He was a controlling womanizer however the care he took of Rowan from the beginning was endearing. Rowan on the other hand showed determination and went against what she believed was right to try to save her sister. There were a few secondary characters that I would have liked to see more of. Her friend Collito for one. I'm looking forward to more books by this author.
Perfect...loved Rowan and Bronson. Never can go wrong with a good, kind hearted girl melting the cold hard steel heart of a biker/fighter dude. Bronson had his motives at the beginning for what he wanted with Rowan but it didn't take long for him to fall for her and feel protective over her. Labelling Rowan as his old lady was the icing on the cake. Things all work out the way they're supposed to when you have the support of someone that loves you and this was evident for these two. I'm glad they both got their hea.
An enjoyable read about the extreme lengths one will through and do for loved ones. Opposites do attract! Rowan is spunky innocences and Bronson Ramsey is a tatted up, MC bike riding, UFC fighter, alpha male....what in the hell is not there to like!
I will continue with the series as new installments become available.

It was hard to rate this book. I did enjoy the story but I didn't like the writing style, we ha to any POVs and no warning when it changed. I was very confused at parts. The story was awesome and diffrent, I am not a writer at all I can barely spell at times (lol) but so of the wroteing just don't do it for me, it's a 3.5 star book the story/plot would be 4.5 but I just can't get over the writing an pov switching,
I always jump on the chance when there is a new MC book but this one just left me wanting more. Some of the book just seemed unbelievable but I did overall like the story. It just didn't give me that 'wow' moment that I was hoping.
Rowan sacrificed so much to save her sister and everything just seemed to move so fast. Bronson was a hot MMA fighter and biker and knew what he wanted.
I love the twists and turns and it was worth the read but just ok for me.
So, I think there may have been a good idea behind this story. Unfortunately it was executed poorly. It was not written well, AT ALL. The whole thing was a major let down. It looks like this was the authors first book, so I can only hope her writing gets better as she moves forward. As I said, the idea behind it was a good one, just needed a lot more work.
I love MC and fighting series, so how happy was I to learn that this book contained both! Would definitely recommend to others. Had a dark, gritty feel that made it different from other books, which is always a good thing.
This was one of my first erotic MC reads and I was immediately sucked in! ;) This was hot and sexy and quite a wild ride! I would love to read more from this author, unfortunately, I can't find much information online regarding the author or if they wrote any other books. :/ I really enjoyed this and really want more!
I had a few problems with this one. It wasn't horrible but definitely isn't one I'll pick up again either. The author has a lot of potential, and that is evident, but this one just didn't hit it out of the park for me.
Bronson is an MMA fighter whose family is one of the toughest motorcycle crews in Las Vegas, NV. Currently, the "Ruiners" Motorcycle Club have Bronson fighting for the mob, an attempt at peace while secretly plotting the mob's demise. Now enter Rowan. She is a young virginal woman from the south who comes to Las Vegas in hopes of dealing in a high limit room and making enough money to get her sister a new liver on the black market. Rowan and Bronson meet and set up an even more elaborate scheme to meet both their needs. But can what started as a business transaction turn in to something so much more? "Riding Dirty" takes you on that ride against the backdrop of luxurious hotels, exciting MMA fights and the overall glitz and glamour Las Vegas offers on a regular basis.
Ok, now to the review. Sometimes books set in Las Vegas get to me. They're typically painted with inconsistencies and a subjective stance of, "we're the rat hole of the earth". This book used street names correctly and building names correctly but again, it made Las Vegas out to be a city still overrun by mobsters, prostitutes and drug lords. Most likely someone who doesn't live here would not take offense to this, but it bothered me.
I didn't really feel attached to the main characters either. I didn't feel the chemistry with them. By the end of the book, I realized I connected with them as a reader a bit better, but still felt the characterization as a whole needed work.
The romance part was done as well as any other romance and the book is a good length. There were few grammatical errors and few typos. It's a promising start for a new author and if she works on building her relationships within the story a bit better and leaves out scene descriptions where characters are supposed to be from an area but the area is really not similar to what is described, (Blue Diamond Road, yeah, those houses out there are EXPENSIVE, definitely not a ghetto), she will really move forward with her next book.
1) Please don't stick MC in the synopsis of this book and confuse readers into thinking this falls in line with the MC biker genre that has become so popular lately. When in reality this book is about a debt that is being repaid via cage fighting and various other scams. The Ruiners MC is rarely mentioned and when it is mentioned, its obvious that not only the president's old lady is the one calling most of the shots but their asses literally belong to the mafia...WTF!
2) I'm sick and tired of reading books where there's a sexual assault or an almost sexual assault, the victim gets saved and like two minutes later is going at it with her boyfriend! That shit is disturbing on so many levels! Rowen was nearly assaulted by one of Bronson's very own club brothers and then like five minutes later is screwing Bronson like a bitch in heat in the very same place she nearly got raped! You have to be a twisted individual to do something like that!
3) I normally enjoy different POVs, gives me a different perspective on the book I'm reading, but in this book all the POVs were really difficult to understand as they were all jumbled together. It was super hard to tell who was speaking.
4) The ending...super rushed...one minute their in the hospital with Lacy, then their having sex on the beach in Mexico, then their just discussing how everything has worked out...I don't know, there just wasn't any depth, and who the hell leaves an MC just like that? Shit like that doesn't happen, aren't they supposed to stick together no matter what?
I could go on and on but I don't want to be here the rest of the night writing. This book was a fail for me...
I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Although I adored Colleen Master's Formula One series, i wasn't positive I would read this other Hearts Collective debut author. Like other reviewers mentioned, it is a Bonnie and Clyde type scenario, and I had a hard time getting in the mindset of appreciating the "doing bad things for a good reason" idea. Generally, the writing was good for a debut author. Even without being super interested in the story I was motivated to keep reading and the ending definitely wasn't predictable. Maybe that's the appeal of the "good girl gone bad" idea, its hard to know exactly what you want the outcome to look like. Another reviewer mentioned the POV changing sporadically which also hung me up a couple of times- I occasionally had to re-read a page to understand what was going on. No complaints about the steamier scenes, except that Rowan (weird names in this book everywhere, by the way) seemed to give it up to Bronson totally out of nowhere.
I'd probably be willing to continue with the series if given copies in exchange for a review, but wouldn't go out of my way to keep reading them. Not a bad book at all, just not to my taste.
Overall the book wasn't horrible, but it wasn't great. I think the thing that bothered me the most is it seems important things got skipped and made it not believable for a story line. I get there is a black market for body organs. But this book left me asking how did they make it to Alabama with a dead body in the car. Who did they give the body to to extract the liver. Did they just show up at the hospital like here is a liver I'm not saying how or where I got it but put it in my sister. I get its a book and it's not supposed to be real, but I find it more relate-able when its more towards real life. And then at the end how did she end up with her masters and her sister is all of a sudden flying down to live with them. If these people were after them even though they are in Mexico I would think they would still be flying under the radar. They made these bad guys out to be top of the ladder with all this pull and power. If that was the case you would think they would be after them and able to find them if they are just living their days like any other day out in the open. Like I said overall not a bad book. There was just a few things I personally didn't like, but doesn't by any means make it awful.

Rowan is sweet, innocent and pure. She also loves her sister something fierce, since she's willing to sell her soul to save her life. Rowan puts a plan into motion that lucky for her lands her in the hands of Bronson. When things get sorted out and they come to an agreement and they both feel a sense of relief that there's a light at the end of the tunnel. Rowan is beautiful and unlike any woman Bronson has ever had, for this reason he has an overwhelming sense to protect her. One thing leads to another and Rowan is freely giving herself to Bronson. Things excel in their relationship from there but so does the danger. Not only do they have the mob to deal with but some club people aren't too happy about their union. When the dust settles lives will be lost and life as they knew it will never be again. The sex scenes are hot, hot, hot. The ending was Fantastic.
I love motorcycle books but this one fell a bit short for me. First I'd say it would be better described as a fighter book than an mc book as there was only one scene that really felt like an mc book to me. Second it was very far fetched, without giving anything away the HEA was very unrealistic and the writer had to go to crazy lengths to get everything to end nicely, the ending also felt very rushed to me. There were a couple of nice scenes and I was interested enough to know what happens to finish it. I think if you go into the book knowing it's more of a fighter book than mc then you would probably enjoy it more as generally I don't enjoy the main character being a fighter.
I read for entertainment and I was happy with the time spent reading Riding Dirty. A little bit Bonnie and Clyde, a little bit MMA, a little bit MC and a lot of chemistry. The shifting from one POV to another was a little rough as there was no indicator to let you know. I had a hard time with Rowan being so “pure” and deciding to become a con-artist, the change was so night and day different. Somehow it all worked. Overall, I really liked the book.
I received a copy as a gift from Hearts Collective.
This book had way too many POV's from different characters. Not only that but it didn't let you know who was speaking and when. I liked the main characters and the overall story, but it was poorly written. I felt like there was alot missing in the story. Also, it jumped topics way too much and again without warning. It was a very hard book to follow. I found my self re reading every few paragraphs to understand who was talking.
Very hard to read when the characters changed from one minute to the next with out notice... I had to reread many lines to get back on track. Also being a mma fighter and biker in one book does Not work very well.. the story is all over the place... I do like the love story line especially how they meet. And the ending where they are married enjoying the beach.
I had mixed feelings bout this book. one min I loved it n the nxt was gonna give up on it. I loved the main characters Ramsey n 'blondie' bt then at every chapter or even half way through a chapter the characters changed to someone elses pov without warning n it annoyed me. if it had jst been the two I wud of loved it n gave it 5 stars bt I cudnt xx
Really good story line. Parts of it were alot unbelievable, but I was able to look past it (kind of). One thing that annoyed me throughout was the way Bronson spoke to Rowan in tender moments.... he sounded like a love sick girl, not the rough and tumble alpha male he is. Otherwise I really enjoyed this book.
Is this book up there with the top MC book - I'm not sure This book was well written and developed, it has a storyline that is believeable and deals with situations that could very well happen in real life. It has a strong heroine, not a weak willed one. Also it is a full length novel with no cliffhanger.
I loved Bronson's character. Tough, yet a softie for his "old lady." Rowan had great strength of character. I enjoyed reading the development of their relationship.
It was a quick easy read. I read it in one night. Despite the unrealistic medical issues, I liked it.
There were several grammatical errors of missing words that disrupted the flow.
