4 Knox stars!!!

When We Fall is a book I have been anticipating since the second I finished When I Surrender. The third and final installment of this series didn’t disappoint! It was just as good, if not better than the first two!
We were good for each other, plain and simple. Knox pushed me out of my comfort zone and made me believe I was worth something. And I forced him to deal with the pain in his past and examine the damaging coping mechanisms he employed. My life felt fuller and more meaningful than it had in years.

 photo cda2a465-d5d4-49ae-a87d-20d523d9917c_zpscf3e612f.jpg

Knox’s life hasn’t always been easy or perfect, but since he’s met McKenna, things have really started to look up. They work together, they’re good for one another. As a former addict, Knox has done a total turn around. He doesn’t even see any other girls right now, only McKenna.

McKenna is finally coming to terms with her past and what that means for her future. All she knows is that for the first time since her parents passing, she feels like she is in a family again. Knox and his brothers feel like home. Knox and McKenna both have fears. After losing the people closest to them, it’s only natural. But both do well to reassure the other that they aren’t going anywhere.

 photo f9001f9b-f978-47a8-9115-362b35b67ffd_zps4d0d056f.jpg

Their relationship is growing and taking the natural progression. Really.... what could go wrong? Only that huge secret Knox has been keeping from his girl. When McKenna finds out, will she be able to move forward with this man she is in love with, or will it be too much to take?
I knew the extent of his past, the decision was mine. Either forgive him and let it go, and move forward with our future, or let it destroy everything we’d built.

I always enjoy Kendall’s writing and her steamy scenes. I was impressed with the growth and character development both Knox and McKenna showed at the end of the series. When I find a story where I love both main characters, that makes me a happy reader. That is the case here. McKenna is relatable, sweet and kind. Her relationship with Knox’s brothers is one of my favorite things about this series. And Knox is my beautifully damaged boy. I’m so happy that he was finally able to get himself together.

Overall, this is a sexy, sweet and captivating series. The writing is great, the characters are endearing and it’s one I would for sure recommend.

We have watched Knox and McKenna try to navigate through the insecurities, issues, and feelings of guilt all to get us to this point. In When We Fall everything finally comes out. I was pretty nervous starting this one because I desperately wanted some happy time for the couple, and Kendall Ryan definitely delivered.

McKenna has struggled with the guilt of her parents death for years and we saw in When We Surrender that McKenna has finally accepted the past, that she can’t change it, and that isn’t at fault. Now she has to work on her issues of trusting Knox. Things pick up exactly where they left off, McKenna has just caught Knox with Amanda. Whether or not Knox was cheating is not really the issue, the issue is whether or not McKenna can ever trust a guy like Knox.

In the past books we have seen where Knox is refusing to admit he has a problem, regardless of whether or not he is in a committed relationship he has to admit to his issues so he can grown. A lot of things have to happen for Knox and McKenna to grow together and I felt like everything played out perfectly.

I also loved how everything was wrapped up with the secondary characters. Amanda and Brian, so happy about that! I also loved the bond McKenna formed with the Bauer boys. They will always be apart of Knox’s life and I liked how it showed she wanted all of him. Most importantly I love how Kendall Ryan’s books are short, sexy and sweet. They are quick reads or this case a quick audio, they are perfect for when you need a little sexiness in your life.

I listend to the audiobook of When We Fall and thoroughly enjoyed. The narrator is male and while his “female” voices isn’t perfect, I enjoy his sexy male voice.

I thoroughly enjoyed this final book in the trilogy. Knox and McKenna finally get it all out, get it together and move forward. Committed Knox is even sexier than bad boy Knox, it turns out! McKenna also decides to get a grip and quit punishing Knox for a past he can't change. Some drama from friends and Jaxon keeps things interesting also.

Oh! What a little sex fiend McKenna turned out to be after all! I really liked the naughtier version of her sooo much better!

Since I read the beginning and listened to the rest in my car and office, I will forewarn you that unless you work in a porn shop, you probably don't want to listen to the audiobook at work. I didn't realize how explicit Knox's language is during sex until I heard the monotone voice of the narrator describing parting and kissing McKenna's pink pussy lips in detail. That certainly snapped me out of my post-lunch haze! It's always a little weird to hear the narrators read the dirty talk anyway, if you ask me.

Overall, it was a touching and sweet story. I thought it was great!

Minor spoiler alert!
I finished this series in 2 days. And it feels like wow! I mean... there was nothing extraordinary about this series, but it somehow made me curious about what was happening next.
This book wrapped up the story just the way it should have ended. But... I kind of wanted a baby from Knox and McKenna. This is the only thing I didn’t like about the ending.
This last book had also more action than the last two and that’s why I’m giving it 5 stars (as you can see, I gave 4 stars to the other two books in the series, because I felt something was missing... and that was the action).

The final book of the When I Break series, When We Fall brings us to the part of the love affair of McKenna and Knox where it’s time to put up or shut up. All the doubts, trust issues and momentary moments where faith falters. It all comes down to this. When all of the truths are known, will it create more doubt or will be the closure these two need in order to move forward into their own happily ever after?

One thing struck me as I read this book. Although we never got to encounter Knox in all his man-whoring glory, it felt like we did. Like the change that happens with him as he gets McKenna is so evident. Like, we knew him before, which we didn’t. It was something that just hit me and made me realize that was just because Kendall did such a fantastic job giving us all sides of Knox upfront. Even not having to experience it first hand, it still was a huge part of this story.

The only slight disappointment I had was McKenna’s continued lack of trust of Knox. I wanted her to see clearly what she had with Knox and I wanted her to just let go and trust in him and what he felt for her. But I get that given the circumstances, she had to let this happen naturally and not push it.

When We Fall ended my four book binge of Kendall Ryan and it was incredibly hard not to immediately just pick up another book of hers after closing this one.

Soooo it ended and I was expecting more from this book but again it failed to my liking. It was just to plain. Nothing that was explosive and it just kind of felt like I napped while reading this. So for me I was hoping that Knox and McKenna would really amped this last installment of theirs but it didn't deliver like I was hoping it would.

~~ 5 "Amazing Conclusion" Stars ~~

OMG...what a fantastic way to finish this series.  When We Fall is the conclusion to Knox and McKenna's story.  This was definitely a perfect ending.  I was so excited when Kendall contacted me to ask if I would read and review this book.  I couldn't respond fast enough.  She sucked me in right from the get go and I couldn't wait to see how things were going to workout for these two characters.  I will admit...I put off reading this ARC for as long as I could because I didn't want to see this series end.  I absolutely love both Knox and McKenna.  So I can tell you with all honesty...I am truly going to miss this series.

Kendall did an amazing job creating a story and characters that will stick with me for a long time.   I will say that this review will probably be on the shorter side.  This final book was a quick read.  I read it in a couple of hours. (That could also be bc I couldn't put it down).  Kendall keeps reminding me with every book of hers that I read why she will always be a MUST READ author for me.  This book was no different.  I love Kendall's writing style.  The flow and pace of this book was great.  As you can tell I could rave on and on about this series...but let me just say...READ THIS SERIES NOW!!!!  You won't be sorry :)

This book wrapped up Knox and McKenna's love story.  They went through bumps in the road and had some serious things to overcome along the way.  Did they finally get their HEA?  Well you will have to read the book to find that out.  This series was truly a journey for these two.  It showed that two people who are polar opposites can still make it work some how.  I loved watching both of these characters grow and become better people.

I also loved the secondary characters.  Brian, Amanda, and the Bauer Boys.  I have to admit that I though Brian and Amanda were going to be trouble for Knox and McKenna, and I didn't like them much in the beginning but I will say that my opinion completely changed by the end. I was surprised but glad with the direction Kendall took with these two characters.  As for Knox's brothers...they were all amazing. I loved watching how this family stuck together in such a hard time in their lives.

I'm sure you can guess that I whole heartedly recommend this book/series.  You really don't want to miss out on their journey.

I want to start off with, normally I really enjoy reading books by Kendall Ryan. That being said this series as a whole wasn't my favorite. This book was my least favorite of the series actually. In all honesty I don't really think this book was needed, everything that was in here could have easily been added to the second book and the series would have been fine that way.

Mostly this one went like this, a little bit of drama, some amazing sex, drama, sex, bigger drama, sex, the big drama scene and then...sex. Epilogue that left me wondering about Jax and sex.

So essentially if there wasn't so much sex the drama scenes could have easily rounded out book 2 and the Epilogue didnt really give us much at all.

McKenna is like me. Taking care of others rather than himself. Knox has changed and is a good person. The series is really awesome . Also the bedroom stories have it in itself ;)

I am HUGE fan of Kendall Ryan. Huge. I love the way she writes; it's fresh and witty. I have a special love for Knox and I devoured this third and final book in one day! I haven't done that in a long time. I couldn't put it down and I think I forgot to feed my kids (just kidding) kinda. This book picks up exactly where When I Surrender left off. I feel like I've been waiting forever for the rest of their story. Knox and McKenna got under my skin. He's unbelievably sexy and tortured; even I wanted to fix him. We find out more about their pasts and what they have done and been through, that leads them to find each other. I laughed and I cried. I wanted to reach in and hug everyone in this book. We got to see more of Knox's brothers too, which I loved. Knox has changed so much since meeting McKenna. She changed him. He realizes that he doesn't want to live with out her and he's afraid that she won't feel the same way. I admit that I was worried for a minute! This is the first time where I've read the last and final book in a series and I still wanted more. I still want more! After the epilogue, my mind was going crazy over all the possible spin offs - Jaxon and Luke need books. *knock, knock - Kendall!!** This is a wonderful series! Do not miss it!

" No man should see the things I saw."
"I just...the things I saw...I can't unsee that." He made a face.

"Let go of you shyness and insecurity. This is just me and you. And trust me, you can't possibly do anything wrong."

Watching her hips move against mine, seeing her eyes slip closed as an expression of ecstasy overtook her features was too much. Fuck. She was my everything.

Once Kenna stops being annoying in book two, this book was much better.

Knox has a full change in this book and I loved watching him transform and watching their relationship blossom in the process.

I wish that things with Jaxon had been different, I was hoping he would turn it around.

Otherwise, great HEA and great story! :)

Knox *sighs*, I just love him, I mean I know I always say it in my reviews but it's really worth repeating over and over again, "it's working." I pressed my hips into hers, letting her feel the hard ridge she'd inspired in my jeans. "We should go before I get arrested for public indecency." In this book we see a more teasing Knox and I really loved that, "I wanted to touch him. I'm missed the solid feel of him in my hands. "You want this?" He adjusted the rather large bulge protruding from the front of his pants." I love how sometimes McKenna treats Knox like a little kid without meaning to with her actions, "you're being so good tonight." She patted my chest. "Very cooperative." Yeah... don't you just hate it when your naughty moments get interrupted I sure do, but what can you do? "Jaxon's in trouble again. Can you stay with the boys?" Her hand flew to her mouth and she nodded. Adjusting my raging boner, I fled down the stairs." I mean McKenna that girl is all ladylike and well Knox the boy can be crude and puts it out there what his brothers know they do, "his hazy eyes found mine. "They know we eff, McKenna." He pressed his erection against my belly and rubbed it against me." I'm thinking Brian and Amanda should get a book as well. It was bittersweet to series this series end but it was a well deserving ending.

I completely loved this series. From page one of When I Break I was hooked. The steady build between McKenna and Knox was great. The chemistry between them came right off the page. I couldn't get enough. I totally fell in love with Knox and his three brothers Jaxon, Luke and Tucker. I really hope down the road Kendall will write a book about them because I feel they each have their own story that needs to be told. Thank you Jennifer for recommending this series and also telling me to wait till all three books were out because the cliffhangers would have killed me. :)

 description...

A sweet and sexy series captivated me, with wonderful writing and characters that felt so real. Both MC's damaged, especially Knox, I was so enthralled watching him try and get himself together. But it was Kenna's and Knox's relationship with the boys which were some of my favourite things about these books. I'll definitely miss reading about this verse, I really hope Kendall adds more to it someday. I really, really do.

I liked the premise of this story but found the writing and dialogue a bit awkward. This last book felt very rushed. The story did keep my attention and I did find it an easy read.

This book was my favorite from all three of them, mostly because Mckenna finally released her dark side (jajajaja), on the previous books she was so plain that I didn't like her for Knox, in those books I thought he deserved a better female interest one with more selfconfidence but I kept reading the series with the hope of getting something better and I finally got it with this book.

I was so, so excited to read this book because of where the last book left off at! It was quite the cliff-hanger and had me flipping through my Kindle for more pages lol! So, to say I was happy when I got an email from the author offering me an ARC of this book, was an understatement lol! I loved this book! It had so many hot scenes in it too! And by lots, I mean lots lol! The plot of this book did go in a bit of a different direction to what I was expecting though! Something's happened that I hoped would, but then other things happened that I wasn't expecting! I like to be surprised though, and I enjoyed the direction the plot went in too! I also thought that this book was still super short, just like the others were! It was either that or I just read it super fast like I did the others lol! You just get really into the story though and don't want to put the book down until you finish it! The characters were again amazing! McKenna was again the main female character and she learned a lot in this book! The first two books were sort of about her realising that she lived in a bubble, and in this book, she learned how to step outside that bubble and live her life the way she wanted! Her love interest, Knox, was a huge part of that! He showed McKenna that she was living her life in a routine, and he taught her what it was like to break that routine and live in the moment! I loved how far McKenna had come! I loved seeing her finally be happy and living her life too! Knox was again the main male character and he was still so hot in this book! I adored him! In this book, I could see how much Knox had changed since he was first introduced in the first book! And it was all because of McKenna! She taught him how to open up and to learn how to move on and let go of the past! I could also see how much McKenna meant to him! He would go to the ends of the earth for her! I also still admired Knox so much for the amount of love he had for his brothers too! There was a situation in this book that showed how far he was willing to go to protect them! I loved that again this book was written from both Knox and McKenna's point of views! It helped me connect with them more and getting to see their relationship develop through both of their eyes was amazing! The ending of this book was pretty different to what I was expecting! I was expecting Knox and McKenna's relationship to have developed even further than what it did! I'm really sad that this is the last book in Knox and McKenna's story, but what a story it has been! There's been heartache, there's been tears, but most importantly, there's been love! I will also definitely be checking out this author's other books! I adore the cover for this book! I love everything about it from using the same cover models to how well it suits the other covers in the series! Big thank you to Kendall for an ARC of When We Fall!

I'm always sad when I get to the end of a series that I've really enjoyed. I find myself in that position with WHEN WE FALL, the final book in the When I Break series. I've become invested in Knox and McKenna's relationship and feel like I need to be with them more instead of saying goodbye. But, all good things must come to an end and Kendall Ryan gives Knox and McKenna that is fitting for them.

WHEN WE FALL picks up right where WHEN WE SURRENDER left off...with McKenna passing out as she finds pregnant Amanda in Knox's bedroom. If you found yourself wavering in your faith of Knox, just like McKenna, we discover just how much she's changed his life at the beginning of this book. She's completely altered him from the man who used sex as a balm to everything that ailed him. His commitment to McKenna is solid and despite the distance he keeps finding between himself and the woman he loves, Knox is faithful to his belief that he and McKenna can get through anything. It's quite a turn for the guy who didn't believe in love and only used women when it was convenient for him and his need for a release.

McKenna did a lot of her growing up at the end of WHEN WE SURRENDER, so WHEN WE FALL was the time for her to put all her decisions into practice. She found it wasn't always easy, especially with an alpha male such as Knox, but she had to learn that her faith and love in Knox (and his brothers) was going to get them through whatever obstacles they faced. She had to learn not to run. That distance isn't going to fix any problem, since they'd still be there when she finally came back. She finally figured it out, that what she had with Knox and his brothers was building her family, but not before putting some unneeded strain on her relationship with Knox

A great ending to a great series (although the epilogue had me thinking that Jaxon needs to have a story). These two character grew so much over the course of these books and it's been an absolute pleasure to follow along.

I have given myself a full day to write this review after finishing it.

I needed that time to organise my thoughts......

Okay, firstly I will reiterate that Kendall is an AWESOME author.
However, and you've guessed there is a big arse BUT coming !! This series has been for me more of a process. I merely read because I felt I needed to keep going, giving the story the benefit of the doubt. Eventually I kept reading not because I was soooo enthralled in the plot/story line but more to the point of I'd paid for this so I am god damn gonna finish it !!.

It was not a totally terrible story, by any means.
For me it was purley McKenna;s character portrayal that I had a problem with right from her being introduced in bk 1.

The whole I'm an innocent virgin with a heart of gold who is also an orphan and does soooooo much charity work to "help" the world gig just got old so friggin' fast for me.
Coupled with her paranoia about Knox's god damn every where abouts and if he's back to his sex addiction. Not to mention the whole McKenna and her "I'll just keep turning up at Knox's house cause I want a family and I like how he interacts with his brothers", just left me with a huge headache and chanting WTF ?!!!!

I thought part way through that there was an opportunity where McKenna might grow up and "see the light", and more to the point stop being such a NEEDY bitch. But alas NO !! That ship never sailed.

As for Knox I actually liked his character and found I enjoyed reading the story from his POV. It was when it switched back the McKenna I wanted to groan.

Would I recommend....not really. Kendall has done much stronger series with much more likeable, belivable leading ladies. So for me, if you have this on your kindle then....you paid for it read away. As I said it's not terrible. But if not then I would recommend one of Kendall's other series.

3 Grummbley Stars from me xx

4.5 Stars!!!!

I can’t believe the series is over, well I can because Kendall once again has written an all-consuming novel that felt like it was over before it began. I can honestly say that I read this book in a few hours. After being left wondering what the hell was going on in Knox’s room at the end of When I Surrender I needed to know how the journey for Knox and McKenna would end. As usual, Kendall did not disappoint.

Now that McKenna is back from her trip, she has some revelations and/or decisions to make good on. Knowing how alpha and proud Knox is I knew that some of her decisions were not going to go over well with him. But he is a family man at heart and he lives for his brothers.

We delve a little deeper into both of their pasts and watch them discover that no matter how broken they are alone together they are a perfect fit. I loved the chemistry between Knox and McKenna and he made my heart melt even more every time he called her “Angel”. We got some seriously steamy love scenes and I always enjoyed Knox’s dominant and playful sides that we saw with McKenna.

It was nice to see character growth in both Knox and McKenna. With Knox’s influence, McKenna was able to break out of the everyday monotony and experience life instead of just existing. McKenna helped Knox deal with his past and in doing so allowed him to build a foundation for a better life for the boys, McKenna and himself.

It was also nice to see that Brian found someone to occupy his time with other than McKenna. I was not a fan of his throughout the series but was happy to see him move on.

If you have not read this series, you are missing out. Don’t deprive yourself of a great story. Go see where it all begins. You can now grab the whole series and not have to endure the pain of waiting for the next installment. When I Break, When I Surrender and When I Fall are available now.

It bears repeating but Kendall Ryan books are like crack to me. Her dialogue is funny and engaging, her characters feel real and the emotions have me all over the place. This is When We Fall in a nutshell!

McKenna is ready to move forward with Knox. She has grown in her confidence and personality by leaps and bounds. No longer the workaholic hiding from the world. Ready to open her heart and life to Knox and his brothers.

Unfortunately the shocks keep coming- starting on the first page! I couldn’t stop laughing with the passing out scene. Imagining how it played out- hilarious. This is also the first time Kenna doesn’t run-hallelujah!

Loved watching her interact with the boys- all the while Knox is falling deeper and deeper in love with her.

Once everything- including all of Knox’s crap- was laid on the table I was terrified that was the end. I was so invested in their relationship and this new family coming together.

While I felt Kenna did most of her changing in the last book this one focused more on Knox. His learning to trust, accept help and be happy in the moment- beautiful.

Together- they work. Oh and are HOT! Can’t even imagine the Knox from the beginning of the first book in this one. The intensity and passion is incredible and you feel all of their love for each other.

Loved the epilogues- am hopeful for some spin offs to feed my KR addiction. A perfect ending to this series.

When We Fall was everything and more that I had hoped for. This series was by far my absolute favorite yet by Kendall Ryan. I adored the characters, and how their story played out!

When We Fall picks up right where When I Surrender stopped. Now of course book 2 left us with a cliffhanger, and believe me, my heart was pounding in my chest so hard with how McKenna found Knox, but there is a reason I love Knox. Knox proves that he is a changed man, and wants only McKenna in this final installment. Only problem, can they each get past their past and move forward with one another. Kendall did an amazing job with her writing, and really allowed for us as readers to feel the connection between the two. I felt as if I was watching their lives play out before my eyes, and couldn't get enough. You can't help but want for things to end perfectly in this amazing story, and in my opinion the series couldn't have ended better. I was extremely sad to read the final line, but was so overjoyed with the conclusion.

If you have yet to start this series, then I highly recommend you do so immediately. I had a hard time putting down each book, and found myself finishing them each much faster than I would have hoped for, which was just to prove that each book was that Amazing. I really loved this series! I can't wait to read lots more by Kendall and to fully support all her books! <3

Aw! I was sad to see these characters go. I could have read a lot more about them. I just loved the full story so much! I'm definitely planning to read whatever else I can of Kendall Ryan's.

Once more, this story picked up right where the last one ended. Good thing too! There was so much happening there! As the relationship seems to settle in after the opening, normal life steps up to throw in problems. Things aren't really as they appear at the end of the last book, but Knox has a new (or not so new, I guess) secret he's kept from McKenna. In addition to that, one of his brothers is spinning out of control while another brother needs college money. McKenna is struggling to find her footing in her new acceptance of her past. It all works together to offer an emotional ride.

The chemistry between Knox and McKenna is off the charts and I just couldn't help rooting for them. I highly recommend the three When I Break books and I hope that somewhere down the road, Kendall Ryan returns to this world and shows us Knox's brother Jackson's story.
