I was surprised by how much I liked this book.
Mia has abandonment issues since her father left when she was young and sends a cheque every time he misses a visit, this is the reason she's chosen a long line of unsuitable boyfriends so she can dump them and not become emotionally involved thus protecting her heart. She finds herself aged 18, still a virgin and starting college along with her best friend of seven years Lexi, who's an interesting character in her own right and the perfect best friend. On the first day of classes Mia meets Gabe for the first time and WOW the attraction is off the charts for both of them but Mia wants hot sex and nothing more, or at least she thinks she does. Gabe wants Mia for sex and more, so much more and Lexi, well Lexi wants to try to have more than just sex.
Mia, Gabe and Lexi are three great characters and this an interesting and humorous read. It ends on a cliffhanger but we're told this in the blurb so I knew before I started, it's when it comes as a complete surprise that I complain.
If I'm being honest I must admit I did start skimming over some of the sex scenes towards the end of the book, not that they were badly written, they weren't it's just that for me there were just too many I can only read so many sex scenes involving the same people before I start to get a little bored.
Provided the next book Baggage and Buttons is reasonably priced then I'll stick with it I'd like to see what happens to these three.

Mia and Gabe fall for each other quickly, but it's not always a sweet fairytale relationship. They both have their own personal issues/struggles that I predict will continue to hinder their love for each other. I enjoyed the chemistry between Mia and Gabe. Mia isn't a pushover who'll easily submit to Gabe's every wishes. I like strong heroines and I think Mia will continue to prove her independence. Gabe is almost too good to be true...he's perfect and completely doting of his lover.

If you love hot sexy love scenes, this author can definitely deliver it to you!!!!! This is a terrific debut novel for this author! Her writing style is impressive, and her story telling ability is visually palpable!!! The story does end with a cliffhanger, but hey, this is why we love series;)

I was given a copy of the book by fifty shades of grey support group for my honest review,
I have to be honest when I received the book the title through me off, I really didn't think I would like the book. Well I was wrong. It was a well written thought out story. I think I may have fallen for Gabe. He was charming, funny and very possessive. All the things I like. Mia was sweet. She was blown away by Gabe, she totally didn't want to fall.
Would I recommend this book "yes". I loved it. I also thought the relationship between Lexi and Mia always a strong addition to the book.
They were more than just friends they were each other's family.
Can't wait until book 2

Love love love this book! The story is relatable to many, it is steamy! If you like a book that will reach out and grab you and pull you into the story fast this is it! I simply can not wait for the rest of the series.

If you are not up on your slang it can be some what of a challenge to interpret but the references I was not familiar with wasn't hard to figure out. It isn't without some misspellings or word usage mistakes but for me the story simply took over.

I will be waiting for every installment to Mia, Gabe, Lex and all the college kids with anticipation!

The Austin series is a new one for me. I read the synopsis and I thought I would give it a try. Mia and Lexi have been best friends forever. Lexi is the sister that Mia never had. They both leave home to go to University. Both girls have their own relationship issues or daddy issues.

Mia won’t let a guy to close to her and the minute they fall in love the relationship is over. Lexi only has one night stands. She hasn’t spent more than a night with a guy ever. And most of the time she isn’t careful when it comes to sex. They decide it’s time to deal with their problems. Mia decides to lose her virginity and only have one night stands. Lexi needs to spend more than one night with the same guy. Mia’s plans were looking like it was going to be pretty easy. She met the perfect guy to help her with her v-card problem. Until he breaks up with his girlfriend and is looking for a committed relationship.

Gabe notices Mia right away and knows he has to have her. He breaks off the relationship that he was currently in because it wasn’t working and now wants Mia. Only she only wants sex. Gabe has his own issues. He is desperately afraid of people leaving him. He needs the commitment that Mia won’t give him. His only choice is to convince her to change her mind.

This story was told from Mia’s POV but I liked that the author was telling us more than just her story in this book. It was about Mia AND Lexi, instead of just Mia and Gabe. We got to follow both girls as they try to make progress on their relationship issues. Mia and Lexi’s relationship was a hardcore one. They have only ever had each other and they were the best of friends. They stand by each other no matter what but they also tell each other the hard stuff.

Mia and Gabe’s relationship was a little iffy to me. There were times where they seemed to be fine. They were happy with all of those steamy steamy moments. I mean those two had some pretty hot bedroom time. But then they would have these unhealthy moments. Gabe was clingy and slightly controlling and Mia was a bitch and ran from any type of relationship. Their relationship just seemed to be one big mess.

Over all this was a great start to a story that is spread over multiple books. The pacing and writing was done well. The story was interesting and if you love drama this book is definitely for you. It will be interesting to see how everything plays out with Lexi, Mia, and Gabe.

Somebody hose me down - scorchio!
I absolutely loved this book. I was hooked from the first few pages!

18 year old Mia Page is a young beautiful, independent woman, who although has a healthy interest in sex and men, has had a difficult father-daughter relationship and hence never submitted to or met the right man to take her virginity. Her best friend and housemate at University, Lexi, is the complete opposite. Horny as hell and proud of it, she is rather promiscuous and recognising that neither are completely satisfied with their current lifestyles, they decide that something has to change with both of them. They form a pact - a new start at Uni - a new chance to move forward in their adult sexual lives. Mia has to have, actual sex to get over her issues and her recent break-up, and Lexi needs to tone it down and try the dating scene - to stick to the same guy for more than one-night.

During one of their first lectures, Mia meets the most delicious man she’s ever set eyes upon - Gabe Austin. An intelligent, extremely sexy, fellow classmate, who is everything an Alpha male should be, but caring too! She is smitten, as is he from day one.
Needless to say – their relationship blossoms and the sex is bloody hot! The author taught me a thing or five in this book ;)
Gabe is mouth-wateringly gorgeous and honestly, I'm repeating myself, I know but the sex scenes are scrummy, I mean if you want erotica then this is it. However, the friendships and storyline throughout the book are also so engaging, you actually feel like you become a part of their lives and they work in tandem with the sex to create a fast-paced novel which has depth and purpose. As a fellow Brit, I got the humour straight away and loved the banter that reverberated between the two girlfriends Mia and Lexi – I wanna be in their gang!

This is a fabulous beginning to the Austin Series. It’s a tough call to try and introduce characters, that will be part of a 6 part (7 if you include the Prequel ‘Destined’) book series, in a way that is detailed enough to engage and tantalise the reader and yet not divulge too much, to leave you wanting more. Ms. Fallowfield is seriously a master of dialogue!!!

Love love love this series and can’t wait to continue reading them all. I’d highly recommend this book. Although this could be classed as New Adult, it was also a great erotic romance with some brilliant humour – I laughed out loud in places. I can see that the author has set the foundations for some interesting times to come for Mia, Gabe & Lexi and I for one, can’t wait. The whole series is out as a box set 1st Sept 2014 – bonus!

WOW, I am totally enthralled with this series and this is barely the first book!

I honestly couldn't get enough of Mia and Gabe. I thought they were the perfect couple. I finally see a book with a girl being more dominant and stubborn than the guy.

Mia has problems getting close to any guy. She thinks they're going to run off on her just like her dad did. He promises her things and never goes through with his promises.

Gabe has been guarding his heart ever since his mom died. He can't seem to find the right girl. He dates and he screws any girl that throws themselves at him. But when Mia comes into the picture he just feels like she's the girl for him.

When Gabe and Mia finally meet and start talking, they hit it off right away.

Mia and Lexi have decided to make a pact, Lexi was to finally find someone to last more than a day with and Mia was to find someone to lose her virginity and have a fling, with no strings attached. But what Mia didn't expect was to fall for Gabe and when Gabe drops the "I love you" bomb on her, she is speechless. She normally runs when guys tell her they love her and start getting too clingy. But for some reason she can't seem to stay away from Gabe.

You see many things in this book. There is love, there is passion and there is definitely a lot of sex. Even though Mia has never been with anyone and didn't have experience prior to Gabe, she sure knew what the heck she was doing. I give her props because she sure sounded like a very experienced girl!!

I totally love this book and I am definitely going to continue reading the rest of this love story. I know there is more to just "love" and I just want to read the whole series. I think I'm going to be so in love with these two characters as I continue reading on.

I totally give this 5 stars and can't wait to continue the journey of Gabe and Mia.

Immediately I was drawn to the story because of Mia Page and Lexi Clarke. They have been best friends since they were 11 years old and now starting college together at the University. Mia is an 18 year old virgin and Lexi on the other hand does one night stands. Both are scared of having a committed relationship all due to their past. So while attending the Uni and living on their own they both started a pact together. Mia was to lose her V-card to a hot guy with no-strings attached and Lexi was going to try for a real relationship.
Their friendship is very entertaining. They brought much humor to the book whether they were together or texting.

Now comes Gabe Austin. He’s on the Uni swim team. He’s blonde, with blue eyes, strong jaw, broad muscular shoulders and a body to die for. He’s sexy, confident, arrogant but very charming and has a heart of gold. The loss of his mother when he was young was a past that tortured Gabe. He sleeps with women to fill a void & emptiness. Although he's dated he never loved or put much effort into his relationships.

So when Gabe set eyes on Mia it was love at first sight. Their relationship was very intense and steamy & they’re so lovable!

This book was all consuming, I was very engrossed in the story. How C.J. wrote this believable story with endearing characters. I just felt myself connecting with them while getting lost in the book.

I received this book an exchange for an honest review. I don't read a lot of the New Adult genre, but this book was pretty good. Mia and Lexi are best friends, heading to Uni and away from home. They vow to each other that they will both turn over a new leaf with the beginning of their new life. Mia, a somewhat uptight virgin, is going for the no strings attached sex, while Lexi, who is very experienced in the no strings approach, is going to try to her hand at having a relationship. Mia meets a breathtaking swimmer, Gabe, that has her literally fainting upon sight of him. She decides not to tell him that she is a virgin and he takes her out on all kinds of sex not aware of the fact that he is about to be her first. Mia shows enough natural ability in her actions in and outside of the bedroom that Gabe doesn’t even realize that he has just deflowered her until after the fact. Mia and Gabe struggle with the fact that Mia is not looking for anything real but Gabe is fast falling in love with her. This book approaches both of their insecurities as they try to find a middle ground that will work for their relationship, while having some very hot and steamy sex. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

I'll be honest for the first maybe 3 chapters I was thinking I'm not going to like this it's going to be another girl gos to college girl meets boy ect.
How wrong I was. This book is brilliant. Its funny and sexy. Just really well written.
I loved Mia and Gabe's instant chemistry. It was hot and passionate but funny and cute at the same time. Its not all hearts and roses though both of these characters have there own issues that have only briefly been mentioned so it will be interesting to see more about these as the series continues . I also loved that he never cheated .He did the right thing before anything happened. That's rare in books these days. I think its brilliant the relationship between Mia and Lexi .
This story has it all. The sex scenes were hot without being unrealistic and with just enough angst to keep you hook through to the end. I personally can't wait to start the next book in this series. It has something for everyone and I will definitely be recommending it to friends

Just sex – that’s all it’s supposed to be…….but you can’t hide and run from your feelings.

I fell in love with his story from the first page. There is no denying the attraction of Mia and Gabe. I love Mia – she is more confident than she will gives herself credit with a heart of gold. Then there is Gabe. Gabe can be so confident (almost cocky), but he truly is an honest sweetheart. You can’t help but to fall in love with Gabe. Mia and Gabe together, well what can I say, HOT, SEXY, STEAMY, AMAZING. These two truly sizzle.

Then there is Lexi. I love her!!! Mia’s BFF is great.

This book does have a cliffhanger, but so worth the read. As soon as I finished this one, I went and bought the next two. I can’t wait to see what happens. This book was very well written and flowed wonderfully. Great character development.

Again, I loved this book, the characters, and defiantly recommend to everyone.

I was provided a copy of this book for an honest review.

I wasn't quite sure what to expect.... the genre description was erotica/romance/humor. The first half of this book felt very YA to me and I did struggle a little. There was definitely some humor and I did love Mia's friend, Lexi. But holy crap, once things started moving between Gabe and Mia, IT WAS DEFINITELY EROTICA! The sex was off the charts hot and I finally found myself connecting with these two. Mia needed to own up to her feelings for Gabe, but of course Gabe had his own insecurities. I was NOT expecting the slight cliffhanger at the end... ugh!

Also, I was glad I read Destined, a short prequel in Gabe's POV, before reading this. I had that initial connection with him from that book and I felt it helped me understand him better.

I will definitely be continuing the series!

Thanks for the opportunity to read and review!

*** Four steamy, sexy and sweet stars!! ****
I was gifted a copy for a fair review.

I am in awe of this author’s debut novel. I know she’s written a shed load more books since and I personally cannot wait to read more from her.
I loved the writing style, the character development and the gripping story. CJ takes you on a journey of young, unrequited loved. Gabe loves Mia and I cannot wait to find out if she will return his love. I have a feeling she will and I cannot wait to go on that journey with them. I am sure that their journey will be bumpy and paved with troubles and sorrow along the way.
The secondary characters are a blast; Milo, Doug and especially Lexi. (I have my fingers crossed for Doug and Lexi to get together too).
I will not think twice about one-clicking further works by CJ. All I need are more hours in the day to continue my fascination with this couple and this author.

Great Job CJ xx loving your work xx

I LOVED the story line and erotica. Grey & Crossife fans will be sexually pleased. The book even makes references to those books, which I liked. :). A virgin female meets a VERY experienced male in college. Both characters have baggage and it makes for a roller coaster of emotions. Neither have experienced love before and the sexual chemistry makes for an ever deeper connection. Who needs to communicate verbally when you can look into your lovers eyes and feel even deeper emotions without the words? I did not realize this was a series and there is a cliff hanger that had me buying the next one immediately after reading this one. I read this book within a day. Gabe & Mia's sex life had me missng my husband. ;) I've read books 2 &3 also and you will not be disappointed by Miss Fallowfied's writing style and character development.

This book was amazing and can't wait to read the next 5 books in the series. There is so much that happens within the first week of Mia and Lexi moving to the city to go to Uni that I don't even know where to start. Mia is this stubborn girl with obvious daddy issues that's afraid to love or allow someone to love her and her BFF Lexi is equally effed up. Then you have Gabe is seems like this confident arrogant hot guy, but underneath his smooth exterior he has some unresolved issues also. I had a little trouble with some of the English/UK words used but hey that's what Google is for. Overall I thought this was a great funny and steamy book and can't wait to read the next books. Of note all her books in this series ends on a cliffhanger, and automatically picks up where the last book ended (so I've been told)

Billed as an erotic romance and it was yummy. I was expecting just another college romance, however the writing made it so much more. Mia and Lexi as best friends are wonderful, loving their little jokes and personal discussions.
Gabe is a wonderful boyfriend, and yes he is a little stalkerish, but in a good way, and he can cook for me anytime.
This time its him who wants more and pushes the relationship, and for once I didn't find Mia annoying in her resistance, I could understand it. Gabe gets bossy at 26% ,then Mia gets even bossier. Theirs lots of hot and steamy interactions, very well written. You can feel the attraction and their love.
Then just as thinks look great Gabe does a very stupid thing, Cue cliff hanger!!

This story was amazing!!!! I was drawn in and enthrall from start to finish. There was the perfect amount of detail and character development; it felt very real and authentic. Mira is suffering from abandonment issues because of her father and an ex boyfriend leaving her. Her best friend Lexi, is also suffering because of an alcoholic abusive mother. As a result they both avoid committed relationships. They agree to make a change, and that's how Mira meets Gabe. Gabe is the opposite of Mia and Lexi, they want to let go and he wants to hang on. The more time Mia spends with Gabe the, the more open she is to traditional relationship. I can't wait to see what happens next.

I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by this book. It has all the makings of a good book from this genre, from the feisty kick arse best friend, to the gorgeous alpha male, the the book ticks along quite nicely. It's sexy, funny and in a lot of places stereotypical, but I have to say I liked it! As always, it won't be to all tastes, but for me it worked well, I look forward to the 2nd book! ;D

I loved this book from the first page. The connection between Gabe and Mia was evident from the start. Although he came across as so confident Gabe showed his softer side nearer the end of the book. I loved the relationship between Mia and Lexi they are fiercely loyal. This story had everything love, laughter. hot sex and angst. With a really great writing style I will definitely read more from this author.

Totally unexpected, this book was.

it has taken me by surprise. i give it 5 Blazing Gabe Stars, he is one of a kind,
controlling, moody, possessive, overprotective and too caring. every girl deserves to have a Gabe in her life...
(did i mention him being extra good in there? and big too?)

well, the story is not based purely in that, it connects deep friendship and real problems of families and dealing with health issues.

thank you CJ Fallowfield, this was a refreshing change

Complimentary copy provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.

Mia is an eighteen-year-old virgin that has just started her first year at university. She lives with her best friend Lexi and is ready to dive head first into university life. When the two make a pact at the beginning of the year, one where Mia finds someone for casual sex in order to be deflowered and Lexi will try to find someone to spend more than one night with, things get off to a rousing start, especially when Mia makes the acquaintance of one hot nineteen year old named Gabe Austin.

Gabe is immediately taken with Mia, especially after he catches her checking him out on the first day of classes. After Mia gets over the embarrassment that led to their meeting and Gabe breaks down her defenses (as well as dumps his girlfriend) the two agree on a no strings relationship. But how long can that last once the two find that the connection they feel towards each other is far more than sexual?

Both Gabe and Mia are dealing with issues from their youth that make it hard for them maintain healthy relationships. Gabe falls in love too quickly, and Mia is the exact opposite, she fears commitment. Can the two ever get over those hurdles and follow through with the chemistry they quite obviously share?

Normally I wouldn’t like a book like this because of the instalove aspect of it, however that issue is very much one-sided, and rooted in the past relationships of the character. This honestly makes the story arc far more believable and you can’t help but empathize with each of the characters because you can understand what each is looking to get out of the relationship.

This book is hot, hot, hot, but I almost feel weird reading some of the steamier passages considering I have friends who have kids this age. Personally, I would have preferred that either the characters were just a wee bit older, or things weren’t quite so hot. I mean really, wouldn’t we all liked to have some of the skills these characters have at this age? But, the scenes are well written and descriptive without being overly so.

There is a lot of foreshadowing in this book of where the story is going to take us. Lexi has a major decision to make and Mia, who not only is dealing with her psychological issues, also has health problems, which may or may not be serious. We’ll only find out in the coming volumes.

New Leaves, No Strings is the first in a six part series. Each full length novel follows the journey of Mia and Gabe as they find their way to their happily ever after. I loved the characters, they are well developed and you couldn’t help but fall in love with them. The storyline kept me interested from the beginning and the relationships felt relatable and real. Ms. Fallowfield’s writing draws you in and keeps you there, riding along with the full range of emotions the young couple demonstrates. The entire series is out already so there will be no waiting around in order to finish the story. I highly recommend this 4 ½ star book and look forward to where Mia and Gabe’s story goes next!

Received an ARC of this book from the author via Goodreads in exchange for an honest review

This book was extremely juicy and steamy. It caught my attention right away and I wish I had time to just sit and read in one sitting. This is the type of book that you will want to read on a day that you have absolutely nothing to do because you will not want to put it down. I didnt know anything about this book, series, or author until I was presented with a chance to read and review. Now, I am about to embark on a Gabe and Mia adventure. LOL!

Gabe and Mia attending the same Uni, and have the same English class together. Once they lay eyes on each other sparks fly and all the "magic" happens. Gabe is a swimmer and is flipping hot, a little needy but still loveable. Mia is a virgin who is looking to be deflowered. She makes a pact with her best friend Lexi to lose her virginity and have a "no strings" attached relationship. This is the first book that I have read where a virgin wants to lose her v-card to some random just for general purposes and to have plenty of one night stands. This chick is all the way cray cray. But I still like her and Gabe together. Whenever they are around each other its like fireworks going off. They cant keep their hands off of each other and they go at it like rabbits. Only in fiction romance novels can ex-virgins go from no sex to 2 to 3 times a day sex. Geez, can you let it breathe for a day or two.

On another note that ending was freaking torture! Thank Goodness book 2 is already out cause there is no way I can handle waiting to find out what happens next. I have already bought book 2, 3 and the prequel.

During this venture Mia meets a breathtaking swimmer, Gabe, that has her literally fainting upon sight of him. This book approaches both of their insecurities as they try to find a middle ground that will work for their relationship, while having some very steamy encounters.
Lexi tries to take her relationship with a one night stand to the next level but it just doesn’t work for her. Later in the book, which focuses mostly on Mia and Gabe’s relationship, Lexi gets some troubling news that her no strings lifestyle has led her to consequences that are going to stick with her for a while. This issue ends up being a huge misunderstanding between Gabe and Mia as well at the end.
I struggled getting started with this book but I was relieved to not be reading another love story about a billionaire that falls in love with a common girl. In the end I was definitely pulling for Mia and Gabe’s relationship. For a first book, I would have to say that C. J. Fallowfield is going to end up with a great series on her hands, I love the character development and can’t wait to see what comes next.

This is a book that when you start you will not want to stop until you read the last page !! Mia and Lexi went to boards school together since they were eleven and now at eighteen they are starting Uni College. Mia the shy virgin young girl while Lexi is the out going sexual type but they were more than friends they were sisters ! Through thick and thin, boys or men, they had each other's back !

So when they arrived at Uni it was time for Mia to become a woman and Lexi to become more than a one night stander. Can Lexi convince Mia to do the hump and dump or will Mia's past relationships with boyfriends and family members hold her back. But when she meets Gabe Austin in English Lecture Class can she hold it together ? The blonde haired blue eyed guy has taken her breath away and maybe something more. The chemistry between these two ignites right In front of the whole class when Mia passes out and Gabe comes to her rescue with his big strong swimmer knight in shinning armor body. There magical sexual hot love journey begins from there but will there past catch up to them and make there TRUST in each other fade as fast as the came together.....

Lexi is trying to do the two nighter but of course we know that doesn't go so well for her and then she finds herself in a predicament that no young girl wants to find themselves in being eighteen, freshman in college and being distant from her family doesn't help either.

Can these 3 friends help each other to get to a better place or will there past keep them all from being loved, happy and secure in there new lives ??

Book 1 ends when you done want it too !! You can't get enough of these characters and cliffhanger ?? Ohhh yessss !! But .....I am excited to say Book 2 is out and I am starting it right NOW !! Loved every minute of book 1 and I am POSITIVE book 2 3 4 5 and 6 will NOT disappoint !! Thank you CJ for an awesome series !

This book was provided by author for an honest review...4 stars!

I needed to cool down before I wrote this. ;)

Mia and Lexi are best friends and ready to start new at University they make a pact to turn over a new leaf. Mia’s going to lose her virginity with no strings attached sex and Lexi is going to try ditching her one night stand and attempt to have a relationship. They both have bad pasts that's made them both afraid to commit.

When Gabe enters Mia life she didn’t count on how quickly he inserts himself to it. He's hot, confident ans sexy and they are drawn to each other like no other. But Mia's fears of attachment cause a constant strain and soon Gabe realizes he wants more from Mia than just no strings attached sex. They both have strong domineering personalities and struggle over control. They fall in love quick but is it enough to keep them together with Gabe's fear of being abandoned and Mia's fear of commitment?

Who thought an 18 and 19 year old could be that experimental? Anyways, I really liked this book but thought there were a few flaws that kept it from being 5 stars for me. The main one being their first encounter together...they had already been pretty sexual so when he saw blood and asked if it was her time of the month I thought that was strange because he had already been up close and personal with her and would have known that, and to me I just thought it was too fast I would have liked more of a build up to their relationship. I also have a love/hate relationship with cliffhangers so I felt frustrated with the ending.

I loved Lexi and can't wait to read more about her as well. All in all a really good read but be prepared to want the second book ASAP and there are 5 more in the series (hopefully no more crazy cliffhangers)!

Sex and relationships. Relationships and sex. What else would be on the minds of college-age freshmen starting out at college (university)?

Once I got into the mindset of the characters’ age and the stage they’re at in life, this new adult erotic romance was a funny, sexy read that moved right along. The banter between Mia and her best-friend/roommate, Lexi is frequently laugh-out-loud funny. :O)

And true to the genre, there is a LOT of sex in this book. It’s full of hot nubile encounters that will leave most readers panting. True to the age, Mia and Lexi talk endlessly about their relationship goals, now that they are at Uni.

Mia is a bit over-concerned with being a virgin at the age of eighteen and is determined to discard her V-card. She’s equally eager to ‘play the field’ and gain sexual experience but not before she faints, Day One, in class, at the sight of Gabe and his – um - derriere.

He, of which her admiring gaze landed upon, comes to her rescue when she faints and from there, Gabe has altogether different intentions for her. Although he has a girlfriend, they soon find their way back to one another and you guessed it, they get it on. In many ways, Gabe is that young man who is sexually mature beyond his years and can woo his way into anyone’s knickers. Try as she might, Mia is helpless to his obsessive charms.

‘What are you desperate for?’ he asked poignantly.
‘Some fun, I don’t want all this serious commitment crap,’ I replied with a shrug.
‘I thought that’s what most women wanted, commitment from a guy.’
‘I’m not like most women.’

Here entails the pursuit and the launch of the series. Of which I will be reading more.

* I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review *

This book was amazing! It's about Mia and Lexi, who both suffer from abandonment issues from their fathers' absences. Lexi likes one night stands, and she wants to change that and get a boyfriend. Mia is an eighteen-year-old virgin, but she wants to lose her virginity with a no-strings-attached fling. Mia and Lexi have been best friends since they were young and they go to university together. In their English class, Mia meets Gabe, a blonde, blue-eyed cutie, who she picks to be her de-virgin-iser. In this story we experience Mia and Gabe's struggles as well as a twist in Lexi's life.

I found these characters really fun and flirty. It would have been nice to get a deeper glimpse into the characters' thoughts, so you could actually feel an emotional connection. Even though this plot is a cliche, with the whole 'I want a no-strings-attached fling', and then BAM there's the blonde, blue-eyed man for the job, I still found this was an awesome read! When I read the part where Mia walks into English and sees Gabe for the first time, I got giddy because he sounded like my type of male character. I liked how he doted on Mia, and he was endearingly pushy and cute. Milo and Doug would have made a nice contribution to the story if we had seen more of them. The sex was great, and I loved the closeness between Mia and Lexi. The only things that bothered me were the minimal emotional connections I had with the characters and the odd grammar/punctual error. Overall, this was a great read and I'd love to read the rest of the series!
