When Tall, Dark and Handsome has fangs that peek past his lips. So white and sharp. The dark beard, threaded with gray does it for me. Justice Bloodworth is easily fifteen years older than me. He’s also my father’s best friend. And he’s an alien “vampire” whose species drinks blood from their mate during intimate moments. Three very valid reasons to stay away. But when we’re stranded overnight in a remote, rustic, hunting cabin Justice bares his fangs and growls. The proximity of my scent throws him into a blood frenzy. Apparently, he wants me but promised my father never to touch his daughter? Uh oh. This Korn is a male of his word. I should help him maintain this vow. Really, I should. But somehow, I can’t.
Michele Mills lives in California and leads a life of quiet, G rated desperation with her husband and two sons. In an attempt at a fulfilling, R rated inner life that does not include Disney movies and Nickelodeon; Michele reads and writes filthy romance and, well...filthy romance. And she wouldn’t have it any other way.
Welp, I'm not in the mood or will never be in the mood to read about a vampire who has occasional "pleasure mates." Though I don't really read fated mate stories, I feel like there should be only one for them, and they shouldn't explore things with other people or species, whatsoever. So yeah, I'm gonna stop at this point. The age gap with a V heroine is too much of an imbalance, and not for me anymore.
"At my age (37/38???) most Korn have already started a family line. I am past my prime and never mated, destined to have only the occasional pleasure mate and never enjoy the gift of offspring."

Stranded with a Silver Vampire by Michele Mills is part of the Marooned for a Night Series.
Ivy has been trying to understand why her Justice Bloodsworth, her boss, and dad's best friend can't stand her. He avoids her whenever possible, leaves the room when she walks in, and refuses to engage in conversation. Unfortunately for him, when her coworker became ill, she was the one who had to fill in on a business trip to the mountains. Ivy is thrilled about this and is ready for the opportunity to spend time with the gorgeous Korn vampire.
Things can not get much worse for Justice. After his employee becomes sick, he finds out the young woman he has wanted since he met her will be accompanying him. He will be forced to share space with her on a plane and in a car for hours. She has no idea the reason he avoids her is his attraction to her or that he made a blood vow to her father never to touch her. But then things actually do get worse when a terrible storm forces them to divert off course to a tiny cabin. Can anyone say forced proximity??
Like all of the books in this series, this was a quick read. The characters are great, and the story is well written. There is definitely chemistry and a little spice thrown in as well.
ARC was provided by Booksprout, and this is my honest review
I gave 3 because 2 seemed like I didn't like it & I did but it annoyed me. It annoyed me cause other than changing the location, throwing in the blood oath, & them working together - it's the same book as Stranded with the alien vampire in this series. She drinks wine so she can't "consent". She won't stop touching him even though she knows it makes the blood frenzy worse. etc... Even the conversations were almost the same. This was also redundant in I felt like they just kept talking about the same stuff. Girl! He already explained it to you! Pay attention! It just annoyed me. Also, there's a part where they are talking about Hale & Sabine from Alien Vampire & her name is wrong. Her name is Sabine - not Sabrina. They correct it later but stuff like that annoys me. Who edits these books that they don't catch that?! I like Alien Vampire & since this is basically the same book, I liked it but it's more like 2 1/2 stars cause its the same.

The premise behind this book was good...it sounded really interesting, and I have greatly enjoyed some of the authors previous works. That comparison may be why I had so many problems with this one.
This is a novella, so it is pretty short, but so are some of her other books, but they still have time to fit in a good amount of humor and character to them. I understand that there was part of a series, so there was some lack of world building, but it repeatedly referenced outside characters, I am guessing ones from a previous point in the series. So there really was a lack of world building here, but if it is supposed to be read in order, that can be forgiven some. The book was too short to have a huge amount of character development, but it felt so much like the story was building up to just have a flat end..."and then they fucked" the end. Ok...yes...that happens. I feel this could have easily been made into a longer book with more backstory on Justice, and what was going on with his world.
That being said, if you just want to write a short spicy story...there needs to be spice. If you just want to write a short cute story, there needs to be a good plot. So this kind of fell flat on both ends with that. I would consider this slow burn, with only 1 pepper really, it was not super naughty, there was really only 1 naughty scene, and the rest of it talking about it. Which is not necessarily a deal breaker, just know what you are getting into.
Story Telling...Michelle Mills can be an awesome storyteller, she often writes very interesting and creative stories that make me laugh and leave me smiling at the cute...this one did not. It was not what I was expecting from her since I normally enjoy the cute, but this one just...it dragged in places, like there was going to be a big setup (and I would totally have gotten behind that) to now everything is fixed with a phone call.
Spoiler: her father's reasons for finally agreeing at the end, made me really dislike the man.
Now, if you want something to read that is quick and between other books, go for it, this might be just the little pallet cleanser you need between longer books. As I said, the idea behind this had so much potential, I just don't feel that this one delivered on it.
Stranded With A Silver Vampire by Michele Mills is part of the multi-author Marooned For A Night series. This is the first book I have read by this author, so I was not sure what to expect. From the book description it looked like an interesting story, and as I have enjoyed other books in this series I decided to read this one also. I am not sure if it was me or the author but the story was lacking certain elements for me. It was okay as I did like the characters of Ivy and Justice and the basic story-line. But there were some details that just did not hit the mark and the lack of really naughty and hot passion was telling. Overall I would try another book or two by this author, just to see if it was this story that did not ring the bell for me or if the author and myself just are not partners. This is only my opinion though, so I suggest that you pick up the book yourself and see what you think. After all everyone has different opinions and that is what makes life so much more interesting.
It wasn’t as good as the other vampire book, but it’s still about vampires. So that alone gives it a good rating. 😂😂😂
(⚠️WARNING: MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD!!!⚠️)
Quotes & Notes/ Reactions:
(Page. 20): It was stupid of me to give her that gift considering she’s engaged to another, but I couldn’t help myself. [Excuse me… engaged? WHEN did this happen?]
(Page. 35): “I have to drink from you with my fangs.” For some reason this sounds unbearably sexy. [Of course it does! 😂😂😂]
(Page. 40): But it’s hard because even though my mind says wait a sec, my body says full steam ahead. [😂😂😂]
⭐️(Page. 62): “I formally end the blood vow between myself and Justice Bloodworth.” He chuckles. “Go forth and multiply.” [🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣]
(Page. 74): Humans cannot match our tech, but they are well-known for their amazing food. [Why, thank you. 🥰😌]
⭐️(Page. 76): “Yes, sometimes you must wait a long time to find your true mate. To the point where you think it won’t happen, and then it does.” [That’s good advice.]
Stranded With a Silver Vampire by Michele Mills is a part of the Marooned For a Night series and it was utterly delicious! Ivy and Justice are a delight!
Ivy is a go getter, proactive, sweet, and wants to love and be loved, and is willing to work for it. Justice is honorable, growly, trying to do what's right, and that is a struggle for him, but oh so entertaining for the reader!
The tension. The tension! It's hawt! And I love that you're thrown into forced proximity from the offset, setting the tone straight away! Some light drama and the misunderstandings and misconceptions enhance their characters and how they navigate their journey together towards one another. The push and pull, how they'll succumb to their connection, it keeps you invested in the story and wanting more.
I love the well maintained small details like how Justice talks and defines things, being from a different planet yet adapting to our world seamlessly.
Ivy (h23) accompanies Justice (H38), an otherworldly, leather-clad vampire alien, whose otherworldly charm, and penchant for blood drinking do nothing to quell her interest in him. Ivy and Justice seek shelter in a rustic cabin when a heavy storm impacts their travels, forcing them into close proximity with one another. Ivy is determined to have it out with Justice about why he seems repelled by her whenever she's near him, only to find that her misconceptions couldn’t be further from the truth. He wants nothing more than for her to be his, but he made a blood vow promise not to give in to his alien blood frenzy and primal instincts towards her, creating a compelling dynamic, unfolding within the confines of the secluded cabin. Ultra-hot and steamy age gap alien-human romantic quickie where unexpected circumstances pave the way for passionate connections and a dash of alien appeal.
Stranded with a Silver Vampire adds another steamy romance to the Marooned for a Night series. MMC Justice Bloodworth is an alien Korn trying to hold off a blood frenzy for his human friends daughter Ivy who he knows is his mate. MFC Ivy is at a loss as to why the one she calls the silver alien fox is constantly trying to avoid her company. On a business trip together she soon finds out after they are marooned together during a sudden storm. Needless to say Ivy has been wanting the hot Korn since forever, age difference out the window! Enjoyed the writing, and characters of this newest short story which was a nice little read.

I enjoyed this story. I liked the flow and the characters. I would have liked to have read more about the Korn people. Justice was an honorable "vampire". He gave a blood vow to Ivy's father and stuck to it, even though it was torture. I loved the way he persuaded Ivy . I liked Ivy as well. Smart, determined especially when it came to Justice. The twists were great. Romance steamy and a perfect HEA. No cliffhanger. A standalone story. I liked how Ivey negotiated with her father to break the vow. Perfect for an afternoon book to read and relax with.

Justice Bloodworth did not have his mate so he volunteered to travel to Earth to work out trade agreements with his home planet of Korn. He is annoyed that Ivy is accompanying him to Yosemite for a conference but not for reasons she believes. He knows she is his mate but he swore a blood oath to leave her alone.
When the pair are stranded alone in a remote cabin, Justice is running low on his blood supply and the blood frenzy is threatening to over take him. This is a steamy read with male holding back until some truths are revealed.

Ivy, human, has had a severe crush on Justice, Korn, since she first met him. Justice though has always kept his distance to the point that other noticed too. Ivy believed he didn't like her. Justice has kept Ivy at arms length because she's his true mate and would start a blood frenzy. Justice was told that Ivy is engaged and so he vows to stay away. When they get trapped in a one room cabin, Ivy learns of Justice true feelings and Justice learn Ivy truly isn't engaged. Close proximity, wonderful characters, sexy alien, stubbornly smart human, steamy, romantic, fated mates, HEA.

I loved this story!! Justice is an alien from Korn on Earth to set up trade deals. He works and becomes friends with Ivy’s father. From the moment he meets Ivy he knows she is his mate but has made an oath to her father to stay away from her. Ivy doesn’t know what Justice avoids her. She is in love with him but he keeps away from her. When on a work trip they end up trapped together in a storm Justice can’t deny his need for his mate any longer. Sweet, steamy romance with amazing chemistry, true love, a little miscommunication and a wonderful HEA.

Her father though has made Justice give a blood oath to never move on his feelings because his daughter is promised to another. When the inadverently are on a business trip together and trapped in a one room cabin because of a storm misunderstandings and lie come to light and They ask her father to release Justice from the blood vow. This book is different, the ML is an alien from another planet, and hes kinda like a vampire but not. He is here setting up trade routes to his planet, and being an alien on this planet is met with no 'holy crap we are not alone in the universe' that said he has been living here a while when the book starts. The book starts with his intern throwing herself at him and her wondering why he is trying to avoid her. Turns out she is his 'mate' but he has made an oath to not try anything on her with her father, and is in a blood frenzy trying to resist her. The chat with her dad to release him from his oath is plain awkward.
Justice Bloodworth is from Korn and is working on trade agreements with earth. He is heading to Yosemite for a conference and ended up with Ivy King as his assistant. But Justice knows Ivy is his mate but he is her fathers best friend. After getting stranded due to bad weather his mating frenzy is taking hold and he needs Ivy. But he cannot break a blood vow he made to her father. This is a very fast read, excellent story telling, steamy and sweet and a great HEA. Loved it.

Ivy and Justice are our latest Marooned For A Night couple. Justice is an Alien Vampire who is on Earth from the Planet Korn. He is Ivy's dad's best friend and 15 years older than she is. Being a male with high morals he is trying not to give in to his fated mate urging. Ivy is just as into Justice but keeps running up against his vow he made to stay away from her to her dad. I very much enjoyed this novella. Michele Mills writes fun characters that I care about and the story flows. She is always worth my time and money!
Ivy has been attracted to Justice from their first meeting but he keeps away from her. Justice knows Ivy is his true mate but swore an oath to her father he would leave her alone since she is engaged to someone else. When Ivy and Justice are stranded in a remote mountain cabin during a storm the truth is revealed as Justice goes into blood frenzy for mate but the oath keeps them apart until Ivy convinces her father of Justice's true intentions in this sweet read.
Ivy has always had a thing for Justice Bloodworth who is a Korn alien vampire. She never knew he made a blood oath with her father to never touch Ivy. When Ivy and Justice are on a work trip, they get stuck in an old cabin during a very strong storm. Ivy can tell that Justice is attracted to her but Justice is in a blood frenzy as he knows Ivy is his mate. How long can they last before the frenzy takes both of them to unbelievable heights? This is a short and spicy romance with a very happy ending. I love the two epilogues!
Justice is a silver fox and a vampire-type alien. What more do you need when you are stranded in a cabin due to downpours and raging waters? You need a blood frenzy! I enjoyed reading how Ivy and Justice would eventually wear each other down and give in to the primal fated mates business. Another great read in the Stranded group of books!.

Justice is the alien friend of Ivy’s father. He’s always been attracted to her, but a vow keeps him away from her. Ivy has always had feelings for Justice, she just can’t understand why the Korn businessman treats her so oddly. When the two of them find themselves stranded in an isolated cabin during a storm, the sparks fly…
A fun quick read, with an alien vampire and his much younger, human mate. This is an enjoyable short for sci-fi romance lovers.
Ivy and Justice are an enjoyable match. There's a bit of confusion about a non-existent engagement and parental wishes. Reading the previous book helps, but the information is rehashed so many times, there is no confusion about the mating habits of the Korn (Justice is an alien known as the Korn.) I still giggle a little since my husband loves the band Korn.

Ivy has has a crush on Justice since the first time she saw him. He is her fathers best friend. But he has always been polite but distant. When they are stranded together some much needed truths come to light. Justice wants Ivy but has promised her father he will not touch her. This is a great read with fantastic characters.

This is a standalone in the Marooned for a Night series. Ivy is an intern in her father’s business and Justice Bloodsworth is on Earth as a trade delegate. Justice is quite a bit older than Ivy, who is very attracted to her grumpy co-worker. After being stranded following a weather event, she understands the reason why. Justice is a strong & honourable MMC, while Ivy might be willing to take a chance on him. Quick, easy read that kept me entertained.
Justice and Ivy’s age gap romance is unique as he senses she is his forever mate, while she is insanely attracted to him, but they have many obstacles in their way. Liked Justice’s dedication and respect, but will misinformation prevent them from becoming more than co-workers or can they overcome their fears and cultural differences.

“I’ve always cared about you Ivy... I apologize if in my haste to keep you away for what I saw as very valid reasons if I hurt you emotionally. This was never my intention.”
I enjoyed this book. It was a fun, quick read. Ivy is a girl who isn't shy to go after what she wants. Justice is trying to keep his promise- and his control- but the forced proximity is taking it's toll. This was a short read, but a slow burn. 4 stars.
Justice, a Korn alien vampire, is Ivy's father's best friend, and has promised not to ever touch her. However, on a dark and stormy night in a cabin, things happen. No cheating, ever, with the Korn. Instalove. Steamy and sweet, this quick read has everything I look for in a palate cleanser book. This multi-author series has been enjoyable to read. I give it 4 1/2 stars.
